Good morning kindly treehouse dwellers. “Coffee time”… Hope your week is off to a great start. On this date in 1992 ”I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred peaks at #1. Not that it really mattered to anyone, but I thought it was a fun factoid. 🙂 So what’s on your mind today? Any stories peaking your interest? Have a legendary day !!
Meanwhile Pantsuit’s hubby thinks that “we’re” the ones living in a parallel universe. Sheeesh.
(Fox News)- With Egyptian unrest flaring over Israel’s shoulder and Palestinian demands for a capital in East Jerusalem ringing through Mideast peace process talks, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Sunday the Obama administration has done more for Israel’s security than any other U.S. presidency. (h/t Moonbattery) – More ominous info on our historic First Adolescent President from NewsFlavor’s regrettably anonymous D.C. Insider: (more…)
Screw you Bill !!! ….. (Washington Independent)- At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, former President Bill Clinton said that Rep. Michele Bachmann’s assertion that the United States has the best health care system in the world is not true and that the new crop of Republicans in Congress are living “in a parallel universe divorced from reality with no facts.” (more…)
Watching the “actions” not the “words”. After Obama appointed William Daley to be his chief of staff the lefty media began constructing a narrative of “rightward movement“. Indeed the far left progressive crowd including MoveOn.Org and others assisted the media construct with their assertions of betrayal. However, let us not fall for the deceptive manipulations and instead focus on actions. Real – fact based – actions. (more…)
Seriously, trying to keep tabs on all the progressive manuevers is like being in charge of a hundred ADHD 2nd Grade poster kids at an ice cream party. Solo. As a kid I loved my book about Jason and the Argonauts, the warrior who takes on incredibly horrid creatures from the underworld in his quest to save humanity. I guess that’s why it seems we went from a generally nice neighborhood barbershop conversation of polite politics, and recent events, into an all out battle for survival when Medusa just sat in my chair. Yikes, I mean where to start? Consider this nasty little viper nest all by itself…. (more…)
“Watching what he does, rather than what he says“. Instead of beginning another lengthy process of painting a picture of the latest Administration concerns. Lets consider this a mental exercise of “Paint By Numbers”, all links are included. See what picture you come up with……. (more…)
Monday – Alarm clocks… ugh ugh. On a Happy Monday note the Packers won the Superbowl (sorry ’tilda). Two housekeeping notes: #1.) we have an email address if you didn’t know that. #2.) (*Bumped cause we like it so much) from author Ann Barnhardt:
(aka IamDagny) I received a call from the one (and we hope it is ONLY one) Obama-loving cattleman in the country. What a delightful conversation. According to this guy the solution to every problem is NOT to fix the problem itself, but to make it infinitely worse by imposing Marxist rule. For example, the solution to the problem of people freeloading on the healthcare industry is NOT private charity, charitably endowed hospitals, reducing healthcare costs by fostering competition, both among healthcare providers AND among insurance companies, capping malpractice awards, or enforcing the rule of law vis-a-vis immigration. No. The solution is to completely destroy the insurance industry AND the health care industry so that no one gets any healthcare at all. Don’t actually solve the problem. Make it infinitely worse and impose Marxist tyranny at the same time. (more…)
(Washington Examiner)- This will come to no surprise to Midwesterners still digging out from the Great Blizzard of 2011, but an analysis of five different temperature databases showed no evidence of global warming in 2010.
“Contrary to press reports the evidence is that 2010 was a year no different from all of the years 2001-2009 with the exception of a moderate to strong El Nino that elevated temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere’s Spring, and a cooling La Nina later in the year,” writes David Whitehouse, of The Global Warming Policy Foundation.
