The former Qatar lobbyist for Ballard Partners, former political consultant and former 2024 campaign manager for candidate Donald Trump who became the Chief of Staff and gatekeeper of the White House, has been removed as Chief of Staff following the 2026 midterm election.
President Trump has appointed Stephen Miller, a wartime consigliere as the Chief of Staff effective Monday.

Mrs Wiles famously took the position of Chief of Staff on the condition that she could “keep the crazies” away from President Trump. Wiles became the gatekeeper to the White House controlling every point of access to the president.
One of the issues of concern when Wiles initially took office was her career as a lobbyist, consultant, campaign manager and donor organizer, gave her a career perspective predisposed to view finance as a key for influence and access. Those concerns never really diminished. Mrs. Wiles returns to her comfortable place in the political operation.
Mrs Wiles relayed her message of departure via X Platform:

Given the specific congressional strategy that will be deployed against the White House in the 2027 legislative and investigative congressional term, it was wise to put Stephen Miller into place as a wartime consigliere.
Congress will likely not seek to impeach President Trump directly, but they will investigate every aspect of finance, and every financial relationship, that has surfaced in the past two-years amid President Trump’s family, allies and supporters.
The corruption narrative coming from those J6-style investigations will then be leveraged against Republican politicians in both the House and Senate as legislation is created. The DSA objective will be to isolate then marginalize the office of the presidency.
