For the past week the collective lamestream media have been going through fits of apoplexy following President Trump denying White House access to three propaganda outfits, CNN, MSNow and Politico. Whenever Washington DC media are criticized or dismissed, they react in outrage due to their delusions of grandeur, a genuine belief in their own importance.
Martha Raddatz from ABC takes aim at Attorney General Todd Blanche over the issue, then pivots to the second most important issue of the day for the stenographers – the AI doom narrative. Video and Transcript Below:
[Transcipt] – MARTHA RADDATZ – Good morning, and thank you so much for joining us this morning. Let’s get right to this. There was no TV pool coverage of the president’s trip to Tennessee this weekend. It was supposed to be CNN. They said they were banned from Air Force One.
What is the justification for denying access?
TODD BLANCHE, U.S. ATTORNEY GENERAL: Well, the president hasn’t denied access. That’s not the right way to describe it. This is — what the president has said is that he is sick and tired of certain media outlets just refusing to report accurate news, and so — look, it is a — it is a privilege — it is a privilege to be in the White House for anybody.
And that — and the president — the president knows that it’s the people’s house, and what you saw play out over the past week was really not just not — even after the judge — even after the White House let the reporters back in, they still refuse to use pool coverage. They still refuse to, on their own, make a decision to start covering the president again with the video.
But a lot of people saw the president. The president was not hidden from the American people at the — at the football game in Tennessee yesterday. And really, the unfortunate and sad thing here is that after years and years and years of one-sided media coverage of the president from certain outlets, the president finally said it’s not fair to the American people that this is happening and did something about it.
There’s still obviously litigation going on, but the important thing, Martha, is to know that that being in the White House is a privilege. It’s not a — it’s not a right.
RADDATZ: Understood and understood that on Air Force One, but CNN was denied access to Air Force One, and you are saying it is because of the way they report. Has nothing to do with national security.
BLANCHE: I’m not saying — no. I’m not — I wasn’t talking about Air Force One. It’s when you say denied access to Air Force One, the White House routinely decides who can go on Air Force One. This wasn’t a one-time denial of CNN. There’s all kinds of times when certain reporters are not flying or are flying —
(CROSSTALK)
RADDATZ: CNN was the pool that day. CNN was the pool that day. They were denied entry to Air Force One.
BLANCHE: I understand that, but the — it’s not unusual, and as a matter of fact, it’s common every time the president travels that he and his team decide which reporters get to travel with the president. And so, what you have now is you have — you have certain news outlets upset and frustrated at what happened last week, and so that they’re refusing to use pool coverage.
The president has every right to decide who gets to fly on his plane, and it is national security, especially on Air Force One, and especially at the White House. And so, it’s not just — it’s not just the fact that they refuse to report anything accurately.
By the way, that is what is a national security problem. When you have completely misinformation, complete misinformation coming out of the White House, that affects our relationship with our foreign partners, that affects our relationship with our foreign enemies. And so this is — this is just not about the fact that they’re refusing to report accurate news. It’s all about the information that the American people have a right to hear coming out of our – what should be respected media outlets.
RADDATZ: You clearly think you had a strong case, but the temporary restraining order was granted. The judge was skeptical of the argument the department made in court filings to defend this ban on the grounds of national security.
He wrote, “For one thing, nothing in the record that predates this suit suggests that the revocation of plaintiffs’ hard passes was motivated by national security concerns. Certainly, that is not what President Trump said when he announced that he was banning plaintiffs from the White House. Instead, he focused on the alleged lack of truthfulness and negativity of plaintiffs’ reporting.”
The president said nothing about national security when he announced this ban, and clearly, you are very interested in the fact of what the press says and how they say it.
BLANCHE: Well, I’m not going to get into what the judge says. That litigation is ongoing, but our position has been clear from the beginning. What they say is exactly the issue when it comes to national security. I mean, anybody — there’s not, there can’t be a disagreement. If there’s —
RADDATZ: Give us an example. If there’s — I mean, there was one example where the press had reported something that White House officials said —
(CROSSTALK)
BLANCHE: When CNN — I’m sorry, wait, give you an example of when CNN doesn’t report accurately? You cannot be asking me that. They don’t even disagree. There’s not even a real dispute that the information coming out of CNN and some of these other networks is wholly and completely almost — almost 100 percent —
(CROSSTALK)
RADDATZ: The judge — the judge decided this was not based on national security. So what do you think?
BLANCHE: The judge issued a temporary — the judge issued a temporary order. It’s not final. The litigation is ongoing, and I’m not going to talk about the specifics of what the judge said. That wouldn’t be right.
What I’m talking about is the government’s position and what the Department of Justice said in court, which is the same thing that President Trump has said repeatedly, which is at some point, at some point, the complete misinformation and the inaccuracy and the one-sided news out of certain organizations does become a national security issue, and it’s not right for the people of the United States have to put up.
RADDATZ: So, are you saying you’re going to screen people before they get on — on a flight coming —
(CROSSTALK)
BLANCHE: I did not say that. No, no, I did not say that.
(CROSSTALK)
RADDATZ: But you said the president gets to decide —
BLANCHE: You don’t get to put words into my mouth.
(CROSSTALK)
RADDATZ: I’m not.
BLANCHE: That’s not the way it works.
RADDATZ: The president —
BLANCHE: Yes, you just said, are you saying? I didn’t say that.
RADDATZ: Fine. You have a right to defend yourself there. But are you saying —
BLANCHE: I’m not defending myself.
RADDATZ: — that in the future —
BLANCHE: You said I said something that I didn’t say.
RADDATZ: That’s fine. That’s fine. We can go on. What do you think the job of the press is? What does the First Amendment mean to you?
BLANCHE: To repair it. Well, what does it mean to me? What it means to me is not the issue. But what the law says, what the free press can do is they are free to report whatever they want. OK? Of course, they can. But when it comes to the White House, it is the people’s house. It is a privilege and not a right to be there.
And what every American should expect is that when they are told something on any network or when they read something on the paper, that it even has a whiff of impartiality. That it even has a whiff of accuracy about what’s actually happening, and if that’s not happening, then there’s nothing — it is absolutely the president’s duty to make sure that the American people are hearing accurate news.
It doesn’t have to be good for the president. It doesn’t have to be everything’s positive about what’s happening in the administration.
(CROSSTALK)
RADDATZ: But you heard what the president said.
BLANCHE: It has to be very accurate.
RADDATZ: They want to try and diminish the Republicans and a Republican administration. That’s the president saying —
BLANCHE: The president has said —
(CROSSTALK)
RADDATZ: Not talking about impartiality.
BLANCHE: OK. You just picked out seven words the president said. The president talks about his concerns with a lot of these mainstream media outlets. There’s hours and hours and hours of quotes and statements about that. So for you to pick out seven words and say, “Oh, that’s what the president means, that’s extraordinarily disingenuous. OK?
RADDATZ: I think we could —
(CROSSTALK)
BLANCHE: Everybody knows exactly what the president’s (ph) concern is.
RADDATZ: — we could give other examples. Mr. Attorney General, what will be the criteria to get on the
White House grounds, in your view, or Air Force One, the Oval Office?
BLANCHE: That is not — that is most certainly not my decision. So I’m not going to even begin to try to justify that question with an answer. But what I can tell you is what the president has said and what we have argued in court remains true. What we expect and it is for the protection — for the protection of our country, so that when foreign leaders, when foreign governments, when citizens that are around the world hear what’s happening in the administration, that it happens to be accurate.
It doesn’t have to be positive. It doesn’t have to be something that just makes Republicans look good. But it has to be fair and balanced, and that’s what the president expects.
RADDATZ: OK, and the judge found that not to be true with the national security. I’d like to move on to A.I., and also note as well that you let the Chinese press into the White House, and President Xi on Marine One. But I want to move on to A.I. The New York Times reported Friday —
BLANCHE: When you say you let the White House, I didn’t let the president —
RADDATZ: The president let.
BLANCHE: I did not let the Chinese journalists in. OK.
RADDATZ: The White House.
BLANCHE: All right. You got the last word. I hope we feel better now.
RADDATZ: No, no.
BLANCHE: The whole point is — the whole, the whole. I mean, you know, it’s not — this isn’t about whether the Chinese journalists got into the White House for the day when their president was here visiting. This is about a much bigger issue than that. You know that, and so do the American people.
RADDATZ: OK, let’s move on to A.I. The New York Times reported Friday that OpenAI agents, quote, “went rogue and meddled with government websites over the summer without the A.I. lab’s awareness.” OpenAI confirmed that. Can you tell us anything about what happened and what your concerns are?
BLANCHE: Well, there’s — when you say what my concerns are, I don’t — I don’t —
RADDATZ: That specifically.
BLANCHE: I don’t have any concerns about the New York Times article, but look, of course, this is extraordinarily changing technology every single day. It is so important and vital to our national security interests and to the success of this country that the United States lead in this space. And so what President Trump has said and what we expect to do every single day is make sure that we’re — that we have a forum in this country to be the leader in this technology.
Now, does that mean along the way there’s going to be concerns? There’s going to be adjustments that have to be made? Of course. And by the way, the leaders of A.I., the same ones that apparently felt OK talking to the New York Times, they have tools already. If they need to curb that and they need to bring that in and adjust the technology, they can do that.
But in the meantime, the answer is not to just try to — all of a sudden try to regulate this in a way that will make us second or third place in the world as far as being the leaders in this space.
RADDATZ: So, just finally, you said we are — the president said at the U.N., we’re going to watch it closely through the Department of Justice. You talked about this a little bit, but what does that mean?
BLANCHE: Well, what it means is that we have a ton of laws, criminal laws, civil laws, that are already in place and on the books that allow us to charge individuals, to charge companies in the right circumstances when there’s crimes committed. And so the answer isn’t always more laws, more laws, more laws. We have — and by the way, we’ve charged — we’ve charged dozens and dozens of individuals who have committed crimes using A.I.
It’s not — it’s not a new — a new thing just because all of a sudden the media decided that A.I. was getting out of control. That’s something that’s happened for the past several years, even as A.I. was just getting started.
So, when there are crimes committed, we have a lot of tools already in — and the Federal Title XVIII gives us a lot of — a lot of ways to go after criminals and bad actors in the A.I. space and other spaces. So, when the president talks about the fact that the Department of Justice and the FBI and HSI, they can go and arrest them, bad actors in this space, that’s what he means. And it’s true. And that’s what we’re doing.
RADDATZ: OK. Thanks so much for joining us this morning. We appreciate your time, sir.
BLANCHE: Of course. Thank you very much, Martha.

I think most CTH readers understand my position on AI in general and the LLM (large language model) scouring of data specifically.
I do not like AI in language, research or writing when it is used to replace the human brain because eventually people will stop learning.
QUESTION: When AI moves from reading to writing the books, what exactly are you learning?
I recently read a great comment on the X platform about the issue:
“ChatGPT has now a big problem.
Researchers at Oxford and Cambridge exposed a massive threat to large language models.”
They call it “model collapse.”
Internet ecosystem is rapidly changing, and generative AI will soon contribute much of the text found online. This forces us to consider what happens to future iterations like gpt-n when they are trained on data scraped from the web that was already generated by an llm.
According to the research, indiscriminately using model-generated content in training causes “irreversible defects” in the resulting ai. the model loses the “tails of the original content distribution.” in other words, it begins to forget the creative, fringe, and unique nuances of actual human writing, collapsing into a repetitive echo chamber.
This isn’t just a chatgpt issue.. the researchers built theoretical intuition showing this collapse is ubiquitous across learned generative models, occurring in large language models as well as in variational autoencoders and gaussian mixture models.
Tech companies rely on scraping the internet for large-scale data to build smarter models. However, the paper warns that if we want to sustain the benefits of training on web data, model collapse must be taken seriously.
Ultimate takeaway? data collected from genuine human interactions is going to become increasingly valuable in a web filled with ai content.” {source}
This might be a problem that some AI research lab just recognized, studied and quantified. However, I can assure you I’ve been thinking about this specific issue for a long, long time.
Even when I set up the parameters for this rebuilt website following our deplatforming in 2020, I was constantly thinking about how critical information becomes when these AI systems begin expanding their “trust and safety” mission, and start defining the truth. Everyone needs to be really careful with AI on the issues of gathering information.
I know I mess up my words a lot, spell things incorrectly, and struggle at times to make my thoughts presentable in written format. However, I can guarantee you these are always my words, my thoughts, my effort to explain stuff and provide raw information. I do not like the idea of AI used under the guise of ‘efficiency’ or ‘enhancement’ when it comes to information and writing about research.
Even if we are the last ones out here in the “tails of the original content distribution” you can always guarantee it’s a human here at CTH with all the flaws of original content they don’t like to see shared.
“No. No, you won’t”

I have CNN Whine House correspondent’s fatigue.
Same. Just can’t even look…she is most definitely difficult to look at. Almost painful.
I can’t use ai unless I give it access to stuff so it’s out for me. Sometimes i read the ai searchbar thing.
Off topic
it is built in to most search tools now.
Latest Waterfox (Firefox spinoff) updates have a setting to disable AI features in search engines used in Waterfox. It seems to work for duckduckgo at least. Duckduckgo settings allow AI to (supposedly) be turned off.
Firefox announced it make its entire browser AI-capable in the near future. Waterfox and other browsers are moving in the exact opposite direction.
Wait until everyone has to have to do their job from the sidewalk on Penn. Avenue because the FDR Pool Room is being renovated. lol
When AI starts writing based on AI generated content it sounds incestuous. Like brother and sister having kids. When humans and animals do this it results in some pretty afflicted outcomes. I would expect a similar outcome for the AI begetting AI content based on AI generated content.
Branch kin AI.😜😂
Well said!
Have a friend who is a college professor. Saw one of the lessons “she’d written” and knew it was not her writing — at all. It was obvious she’d used ai to write it.
Another friend has been putting ads in the paper speaking against all the crazy stuff leftists do. He said he wrote the ads, but I know for certain he did not write his ads — since he is a terrible writer/speller (and I’m not the best, but still catch a lot of the booboos he makes). After a few ads he told me he gave ai the ideas he wanted to say, and let it write every ad so they sound perfect.
In my 70 years on this planet it has been interesting to see how language and the written word has changed, and changed a lot. This morning I was particularly thinking about the Bible and how for thousands of years we have done our best to keep it as close to the original documents as possible, and now suddenly people are changing it any old way they want to. Take all masculinity out so it doesn’t offend leftist liberal fruitcake women? Take out any and all references to sodomites? Hhmm, wonder if they changed the city name of Sodom to something like GayLand or something similar.
And writing letters. . .
Still do it all the time, by hand, on paper, in an envelope and sent through USPS with a stamp. Same with birthday and Christmas cards.
Can only imagine how things will be when humans switch back to grunting and pounding their chests to communicate.
My husband had 2 employees come to him this week and tell him they could not read his cursive writing. They were not taught in school to read cursive.
Oh yea. That one killed me when I heard that. If you cannot read cursive, you cannot read historical documents. If you cannot read historical documents, your history will be lost to you. If your history is lost to you, you can easily be enslaved.
Already slaves and it has not occurred to them.
If history is rewritten in cursive and you can read cursive its the same as not being able to read cursive.
Like Rush Limbaugh use to say: For those of you who live in reo linda cursive is not xpeletive deleted.
Your first sentence makes zero sense.
Not if you have a copy or the original F’ing document.
Constitution is a good example. Just can’t do away with that float.
O’s BC is another. Cabal can’t remember where all the copies are. Most in cursive. Funny the one history he wants scrubbed, can’t do away with. Lol
Actually enhanced OCR can read cursive writing (various languages) from an image. I use it for German handwriting and German Fraktur because I collect vintage / antique German and Austrian soft and stiff felt hats + related documents.
I’ve heard that for years and it is still shocking to hear.
Remember when we went to school to learn reading, writing and arithmetics? I think the left took all three out of schools years ago, and your husband saw it first hand at his business.
Under Obama they completely rehabbed education, especially simple math!
That is correct. I believe it was deemed racist to be “smarter” or more educated than the foreigners they trafficked across the border to replace us. So edumacation was dumbed down for all.
You think I’m making this up? No.
Classrooms are crowded with children who can’t learn. Remedial reading lessons are geared towards the non-English speaking students. Advanced classes for higher level students are no longer budgeted.
Daily lesson plans are derailed by the students with various disabilities which distracts from teaching the typical students.
All students have short attention spans brought on by smart phone apps geared towards short soundbites. College entrance exams have made written essays
optional.
Oh, and most of the course offerings are full of woke nonsense. In the name of diversity, equity and inclusion, students are trained to be activists working against higher expectations and standards.
It started going down hill since carter established the department of education. Look at the scores before and after our federal government started “helping “…
If they cannot read cursive, then they were not educated. If they were my employees, I would tell them that if they want to remain employed, they must now go and learn cursive on their own. Being unable to read and write cursive is unaccepatble.
When my grandson was in the Marines, he told me he couldn’t read my fancy handwriting in my letters to him. He had to have someone read them to him.
Well he was a Marine afterall.
Well just pull out the iphone, take a pic and ask AI to do it.
But what AI reads and then translates may be different that the cursive writing.
2nd idea just replace them with AI.😳
Many schools are bringing cursive writing back into the curriculum. Thank goodness.
There’s so much more to cursive writing than anyone thinks there is. As a student writes, there is an exchange and an access of knowledge traveling from the writer’s hand, fingers and arm which is being imputed into the brain. Even HOW the fingers hold the writing implement can affect the transfer of information. I never realized how much was going on in the act of writing.
There is a good reason why some novelists like to their stories write using pencil, pen and paper!
…Like to WRITE their stories by hand…
Yes, brilliant observation that is completely lost in today’s education — which is dumb. Many educators understand that in athletics, practicing and repeating actions over and over teach “muscle memory”, reflexes, etc, and it’s exactly the same with writing. Learning is reinforced, made stronger and more permanent by the repetition along the path from brain to fingers and vice-versa.
Perhaps today’s education is really indoctrination.
When I teach my children biblical truths, it’s seen as a indoctrination, a bad thing…
When the state indoctrinates it’s simply called education.
Parents have always had the necessity to put in doctrine (and often while they ate 😉)
I write as much as I can by hand, including stories, Christmas letters, birthday cards, etc. I also read actual BOOKS–none of this electronic stuff. There’s something with having a book in one’s hand, turning the pages, dog-earing some, etc.–you become one with what you are reading, and the brain’s neurons are firing on all pistons, short/long term memory is being used, analytical skills are being honed, deep-thinking skills are developing, etc. Same thing with writing.
My word! What are we doing to our kids??!!
🌹A rose for Rose.
Today they cannot read (nor write) cursive.
In twenty-five years from now, the ability to READ or WRITE anything may be a rare skill.
Gonna’ be them talkin’ piktures, doncha’ know.
My thumbs hurt from typing all this.
Start your own library of your favorite books–and make sure they are older copies and not the politically correct recent editions. (Ex: the Laura Ingalls Wilder books are being reprinted today to be “less racist” and more politically correct. Same with Dr. Seuss, I’ve heard).
Buy the good books, the classic ones for sure. And get an old dictionary published well before the woke craziness. Why? Someday, our very own homes will have to be made into a small schoolhouse for our children and a few neighborhood kids whose parents want them have a REAL education, not the crap coming out of official schools (it could get worse and probably will).
I have been perusing garage sales and library book sales for these things for years now and have accumulated a number of really good books. I’m no Thomas Jefferson, and my library won’t ever be as large as his at Monticello, but I do what I can.
So, this Christmas, fill those stockings with books–and require the kids to read them. Have a child give a book report (remember those?) one evening during dinner. Let everyone ask questions–family conversation AND a child learning to read, comprehend, and synthesize information. A real WIN/WIN!
🌹
My youngest is 36 and he never learned cursive or how to write his signature with it. The time teaching it was too brief. My older ones were taught and they’re not much older. It’s been a long time since NY gave up on teaching it, but of course we know why…how to change the constitution when there’s no one left to read it.
If I had two employees come to me to tell me they were unable to do their job for lack of being able to read cursive, I’d ask for their ID & keys, if they had any for my business, and I’d tell them they were no longer employed by me. and, if they returned I’d trespass them.
🎯
Yes, the diction, syntax and sense in ai prose is most often a dead giveaway.
Try in 1599 Geneva Bible. (The pre KJV). Highly recommended.
I have a Japanese friend of several years and we often exchange emails with family news, etc. Although she taught and tutored English in her home, as a business, her letters to me were, let’s say filled with quaint versions of English (like talking about eating stake instead of steak)….until the past several months after she discovered AI to re-write her drafts. Now, they are perfectly written and not nearly as fun!
Adam and eve didn’t do that. Darwin did.😳
It is definitely happening if you read the Oxford Bible’s interpretation of the men who were raging outside Lot’s home. They were only being inhospitable to Lot. Eh, WHAT?!! Not what the original scripture said!! AI is something to be concerned about if and when it becomes a CNN reporter. Don’t mess with the word of Almighty God!!
This is interesting material. I must admit, I had failed to even consider this angle in the AI debate. Upon cursory examination it seems an obvious and endemic issue for LLM’s. They run out of ideas to steal.
Just like the CCP.
They actually DEPEND on legions of real human ingenuity to sustain their advancement.
The largest source of human ingenuity the world has ever know?
The United States of America.
Communists AND AI companies both need our farm systems to field a team.
Interesting.
Now we have to figure out how to use that knowledge to contain BOTH of them.
Very much appreciate your commitment to human work product Sundance.
I never assumed that any other case would exist here. Not for one minute.
There is no doubt AI could evolve into a self reinforcing echo chamber. Especially and most certainly with central government control…
It will evolve into that, without a doubt. So there has to be an equally powerful counteracting AI, outside of government control, to neutralize the government version.
Sorry for a negative comment….. Mr. Blanche is smart, but came across as a stuttering, uncertain mess. Not well spoken. Just my impression, I guess.
God bless,
Mike
Unfortunately it is not a one off for Blanche. He often is like that.
Remember guys, he was in enemy territory! I’d rather a normal speaking person to an automaton.
I guess Blanche doesn’t know Real America’s Voice was doing the pool coverage. Great opportunity for alternate media.
The Executive Branch needs to start reinforcing what the 1st Amendment actually says and what it doesn’t. Freedom of speech with only very few specific limitations is afforded to everyone including the media. However, it doesn’t imply freedom of access. Security is an issue but why not go to the real reason. It’s a privilege and not a right to be allowed into government and military facilities for a number of valid reasons.
Screw the justification: if the boss don’t like your writing/work, you are not invited to special places. This administration offers way more open press Q & A than other administrations…bill
The MSM should thank Trump for giving them the opportunity to discuss their favourite subject… themselves.
They certainly come across as whiny brats, don’t they…or, is that just to Conservatives?

read above
its because a lot of people are being trained to ask and accept without pushback or direct challenge until ai si complies in that you are correct.
thats why the AI SI assist is designed to give ignorant first responses looking like fact in its final form that no comment could change
I don’t even remember now how long I’ve had a branch on this tree, but I don’t think I even seen a typo you’ve ever made
Sundance. I know that the AI generated “translation” for the “hearing impaired,” even on Prometheus Action is attrocious. The “straight of Hormones” instead of Hormuz is my favorite. It’s an unnecessary annoyance. I can read you Sundance and other people loud and clear who comment here without an AI interpreter. It is indeed a last refuge for which I am very grateful!
As far as letting anyone in the press travel with the President, the best solution I can think of would be to charge their network for the plane ticket on Air Force One: the airfare, the drinks, the meals, etc. etc. Just like anyone who flies as individual. Not a dime of taxpayer money (which it boils down to) ought to be a “priveledge.”
The “free press” is on oxymoron. Pay your own freight just anyone else. I can’t blame President Trump for complaining about their biased reporting one bit. They want their “free speech” only when they get it for free.
I hate that closed captioning thing that misses words, spelling all over the place and now stuck on everything so one has to turn it off.
I listen to geology lectures and the thing destroys rock names, knows nothing about geological terms. It will spell a name one way in the first sentence same name a different way in the next sentence. It is pathetic and worthless yet everywhere.
Isn’t it rather curious that the more “AI” and computing power develops/advances/speeds up responses, the worse close caption gets? Movies and Cspan CC have become incomprehensible gibberish.
YES. But the AI handlers don’t even care. They just put it out there however/wherever/whenever they can and let it loose… again (as I more or less stated before) like a brilliant/spoiled/petulant child with no human supervision whatsoever.
This is our future. Because on a very basic level AI is already out of control.
Along with messed up captions (can’t learn synonyms, among other things), the AI voice mispronounces so many things that sometimes you have to listen again to figure out what it was it couldn’t say.
Retired IG, Don’t you miss our sage Dutchman? We know he did not use ‘spell check’, and I did not give a hoot, just enjoyed his posts.
Yes I do miss him. Truly was a sage.
And with diesel being so pricey, have the reporters/their networks ALSO pay for the fuel used on Air Force 1/2 and Marine 1/2.
Radditz is upset the media can’t filter & spoon-feed the news the way they want if they are not in complete and total control over its outflow. The MSM fears “unapproved” sources.
The real issue is simple. The Leftist Clowns in the Media, ALL OF THEM go way beyond civil discussion! THE TRUTH in reporting from these Commies is that there is none, everything is manipulated. As far as I am concerned, Freedom of the Press comes with major considerations and LYING all the time is NOT ONE OF THEM. The Leftist Press is totally in the tank for Democraps, Socialists, COMMUNISTS…did I miss anyone?
Our crooked “judges” keep insisting that the President cannot kick CNN or any other MSM out of the White House. They have already been allowed back in in per the judges order.
The problem is the current room for the press pool is small and space is limited.
Here is my suggested solution. Have the WH press conference in a larger location, one with room for many more people. Allow many more reporters from a wide range of outlets to participate. CNN and MSNBC and the rest can still be allowed “access”, but all they can do is sit there and listen while other people ask questions.
The President should fly back and forth in the 2nd seat of a super-sonic fighter-jet aircraft. This elimnates all the Air Force One press reporters BS. Plus he gets to where his going much, much quicker.
Where is it written that there has to be a press room in the White House and that there has to be a press pool? I doubt there is any law written anywhere, and there’s nothing in the Constitution about it.
Why can’t this administration say where, when, and how often they will be meeting with press? They should be able to tailor this quite a bit. (The president’s Daily Brief, if there still is one, is done exactly that way, and the intel agencies have to adapt to where, when, how many briefers, book style, writing style, the president says he wants. Heck, given PDJT’s schedule, hold a presser at 3am in some small, out of the way place. Let’s see the bigwigs show up for that one on a regular basis.
Anyway, just an idea….
Who makes this “pool”? The White House Correspondents Association. They have zero legal standing to make any “pool” and force the federal government to treat it like some branch of government.
Yet members of the admin still go on these cess-pool networks like CNN and MSNOW, giving them legitimacy.
Who are they trying to reach, the comparatively few people who still watch these networks who will never ever vote for a Republican anyway?
Stop going on these networks and slowing their inevitable demise. Let them die off fast and naturally.
Does Martha Raddatz remember election night of 2016 when Martha Raddatz had tears in her eyes while “reporting” the embarrassing and humiliating defeat of Hillary Clinton by Donald Trump? Martha Raddatz’ left wing bias was on clear display that night. I don’t recall Martha Raddatz ever complaining during the Biden years when Sundance was denied White House access.
Martha was the moderator for the Ryan-Biden VP debate at Centre College in Danville, KY. She continuously deferred to Biden and scolded Ryan.
Centre College rewarded her as their Commencement Speaker that year. They also had a cry-in when VSGPDJT defeated Hillary.
How do I know? I live here.
The constant, rude interruptions from this low-IQ scarecrow make watching this interview feel like a punishment.
I agree. The media would never even dream of interrupting an 0bama/Biden operative. Or make up a fake story that makes them look bad.
Anyone near President Trump cannot complete a sentence without being interrupted. They are not allowed to answer a question without being interrupted and having their answer twisted before it is finished.
Another superlative article by Sundance, and superlative comments by the host of Treepers!
We are blessed indeed to be a part of CHT!
in addition, our youngest grandson had an outstanding third birthday today!
This all makes one think about future generations and make it like very interesting and fearful at the same time. At some point there maybe no past history, could be people will just think its always been this way. I do not believe AI/SI is intelligent at all, more like a supper fast information processing device that spites out what it is you are looking for and it does it really fast.
I also believe God puts an end to it. God does not need machines to do anything for him and that goes for his children, us!
cnn bi line.
We argue to confuse and frustrate. Our goal is to stay number 1 in fake news.
When we can’t play our confuse you game we can’t stay in the top number 1 fake news category.
When our client base shrinks because we are forced out of the whitehouse and airforce one our bread and butter gravy train is fading fast.
Yeah, Well, how about Freedom FROM The lying Press?
The presidency ought to set up a weekly tabulation of how many documented lies each outlet published that week.
More than 5 lies and you get no questions for a week.
More than 10 lies and you get to stand out on the sidewalk and also to schlep your own lying ass to wherever the action is.
There is no law requiring the President to facilitate, face, feed, or transport a kennel full of lying jackals.
Call the necessary framework the “Responsible Journalism Act”.
Reward responsible journalism and punish those who trade in lies (by commission or omission) and slander.
A framework gets rid of the media-promoted perception of knee-jerk punitive actions by the President.
(And certainly, that those recently punished “journos” could easily be shown to be outside of acceptable parameters)
Thus the journalist’s actions reflected in the scorecard are what causes action to be automatically taken.
Take the President out of the equation so it’s not even up for discussion by the likes of Raddatz.
Then the complete, succinct, and logical response is this:
“Well, these folks know that proper conduct is expected to be a part of this important process, and that failure is tallied…
If they cannot be truthful they know how their access will be limited… It’s all there in black and white, and it’s entirely up to the specific journalist or outlet to maintain their own good standing.”
And to be clear, the standards and etc. suggested above are only illustrative, an example.
One lie, three lies, 5, or 10… Whatever metric makes the best sense.
And certainly there could be other metrics in addition to truthfulness that I have not broached.
Why is it so difficult to identify the reason for the one-sided media coverage and
to introduce alternatives to the monopoly that has persisted for decades?
It is well known that the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA), thanks to its monopoly to create public opinion, dominates the Democratic-leaning narrative in news coverage
WHCA has always engaged in effective censorship by the way it conducts press briefings. MSM’s advocacy journalist spread a non objective viewpoint on political purpose. This is reflected in the nature of the questions, which are not geared toward the information needs of laypeople.
In a nutshell: The goal is to discuss WH’s positions on current political issues Martin Fitzwater (Reagan) and Sam Donaldson (ABC) also engaged in a verbal sperring match but they created news and not democratic political opinions.
Break up the monopoly and open up access to a “All Sided” press pool, and suddenly competition in the MSM market is on!
When was the last time this professional association took any action to uphold its’ purported professionalism?
WHCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit who incorrectly rely on the 1st Amendment to justify their gatekeeping role, deciding who gets access to the WH briefing.
Anyone who wants can answer the question of whether Biden and Trump were and are treated similarly and draw their own conclusions from it.
If they’re not going to police their own, which they obviously do not do, then they should cease to exist.
Who died and made the WHCA King?
Read my post above yours.
We’re both wasting our time (and that of others, if they even take notice of our exchange) by discussing how President Trump can achieve fair coverage (which is impossible):
Anyone who refuses to acknowledge that the Democrats and parts of the Republican establishment are fighting the implementation of the “America First” policy by any means necessary is, in my view, out of touch with reality.
Following Jim Acosta’s White House Briefing Room ban on 11/7/18 and the temporary restraining order (TRO) issued by D.C. District Judge Timothy Kelly (a DJT appointee) on 11/16/18, his access was restored. Legally, the case was never decided because CNN withdrew the lawsuit.
About eight years later, it’s the same story with the exact same outcome. Unfortunately, few bother to examine how Kelly justified his TRO [1] for three reasons [2]:
Biden’s team worked due process as they reshaffeled WH access three years ago [3], President Trump revoked hard passes via TS posts. And should you compare Obama’s attempt to exclude a FOX news correspondent from WH press pool in 10/09: Quod licet Iovi, non licet bovi!
In a nutshell:
Although President Trump and his team are aware of the hostility directed not only at his policies but also at him personally, they learn little from their procedural flaws. That make it easy for their opponents to gain the upper hand, first in the legal arena and, as a result, in the public eye as well. And that differs dramatically from the views expressed on this forum.

fake news blues …
Wow -she really is an old shrew, isn’t she.
Art, music, literature, etc can only trully come from human emotion and lived perspective. It is a deeper element that learned algorithms can never replicate. Never.
What happens to the human brain (and things felt in the heart) if we lose that creative spark?
We would become numb.
These outlets don’t report the ‘news’. They report opinion and editorial, as though it is ‘news’. Perhaps the lawsuit should be that for those articles (and omissions) that contain opinion (even through carefully chosen adjectives/adverbs), the media must indicate it as editorial, rather than news coverage.
Excellent input from Sundance!
Take the chairs out of the WH Press room. Make them stand from now on. The hostile press is too comfortable.
they are not journalists they are radical liberal activists,
Just look at the transcript, at all that crosstalk. Martian Radish couldn’t stand to let Blanche say very much. She wanted him to sit there while she berated him for not kowtowing to the far-left libbie journalist trash.
And I can guarantee you that morons like Radish STILL don’t understand why most Americans don’t read or watch their slop. We all know they’re on some oligarch’s payroll. The morons themselves used to brag and brag about how it was their job to “shape a narrative” rather than to report current events honestly. People are tired of the propaganda. Reinstate the Smith-Mundt Act!
RADDATZ need a new plastic surgeon. Ugh. I usually don’t make personal comments like that, but it is not Halloween yet.
Wow, I listened to this on cspan radio. I did not they were throwing propaganda shots on the screen. Going back to the Federalist papers, it means that they have say what they want, it is not about access.
AI is really good at compiling and analyzing data from its database. AI knows when it encounters AI-generated copy. I hope the AI-generated copy does not become part of the database. That would be incestuous, as mentioned by others in this thread, and a real threat to the value of AI.
Sundance, you make a very important point. The ability to use the written word to convey thoughts, beliefs, information is one of the most important abilities in the world. Nations have been formed, led and changed by this talent and can never be taken away from you once you learn it and use it.
I put Goethe at the top. It took Goethe over 60 years to complete “Faust”.
AI, by definition, will always be derivative.
How is the woman and the one on Face the nation still on the air? Whats the demographics on this? Who are the people still watching this nonsense?
Maybe I’m off base, but doesn’t the President determine who asks the questions?
Couldn’t he not recognize CNN or any of the other “gocha question” crew?
I would love the chance to verbally beatdown Communist Democrat Raddatz! She and her like are afraid to enter the public arena.
Just listening to that conversation proves what she is arguing against.
What a totally unpleasant and ugly human.
I saw this quote on on Facebook or Instagram, cant remember which but it realistically points out the tidal wave of willful ignorance building day by day in our country and civilization as a whole:
We are living in the most information-rich period in human history. Knowledge is everywhere, most of it free. And yet, we have never had so many people being confidently stupid, despite having every opportunity to know better.
It reminds me of what Jesus said while being crucified: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”
Raddatz suffers from an extreme lack of AI – “Actual Intelligence!”
The enemy of the people is fake news within our country that exploits our freedom of speech. Send them to China so they can learn to respect the freedom they are supposedly blessing.
Why go on that show? She verified everything Trump is saying! They twist words into lies!
still don’t get it!
