The 25th anniversary of the attacks on 9-11 present a day to reflect, remember and pay tribute to those we lost. I am sure most of us remember exactly where we were at the moment when we found out our nation was under attack. Our nation was forever changed by those moments on September 11th, 2001.

Perhaps we can share our memories together as we think about the anniversary of this date.
Where were you on that day? And what memories are most vivid for you?

My husband had flown into NYC on Sept 10, 2001. He was working at a client in Long Island but mentioned he may need to go into Mid-town on the 11th. I was working from home on Sept 11, 2001 with the TV news on and heard about the 1st plane & saw the 1st tower burning. I called my husband immediately on his cell & thankfully found that he was at his client in Long Island. As I was telling him about the 1st plane hitting the tower & to turn on the news, I saw on the TV the 2nd airliner hit the 2nd tower. I thought NYC was under attack & told my husband to get the hell out of there and then the cell line went dead. I was frantic as I could not reach him back and then watched as the Pentagon was hit and the 4th plane crashed in PA. I finally got thru to him again later that day but all I wanted him to do was come home & of course he could not immediately do that. Weeks later I dreaded that he had to get back on a plane for work. What has always astounded me is how our country refused to immediately secure our borders & deport the illegals & those who overstayed their Visa’s. And if anyone had told me that 25 years later an American hating Muslim would be elected Mayor of NYC, I would’ve said that was crazy. We must never forget 9/11 & we must never allow Democrats, the Left or Muslims to rewrite history about what happened that day. May all the innocent souls who lost their lives RIP and may all the terrorists responsible burn in hell for eternity.
And as we start to look into this tragedy, we should never forget they had the Patriot act ready to go.
There have been many tests done in the dust showing nano thermite New Mexico military base is the only one in the world that’s able to manufacture nano thermite
Marvin Bush held the keys to the twin tower security, nine months prior to 911 happening.
Shanksville Pennsylvania, where an aircraft supposedly crashed completely disintegrating leaving nothing no titanium 12,000 pound engine times two not one body no fuselage no landing gear another 15,000 pounds of high-grade titanium. To melt any of these medals special furnaces must be made. None of them can obliterate any of the metal all they can do is reform the structure.
NORAD completely and utterly helpless throughout this whole charade not one of our 500 Congress critters or one of our 50 superduper senatorial people said one word of this.
I could go on and on with things that make no sense to a sober adult mind so I will bury you all of these things 9/11 happened with the help of the American government to get into these never-ending wars. Everyone is afraid to bring this up as it very well can end your life quickly as well as the life of those you love they made take care of those lives before you as well. We are now surrounded by Muslim throughout our entire country. This is the beginning of the end folks they live this type of debauchery. We are on the other hand by our kids games and such and pretend like Satan does not exist. They know he’s real as he is their God. Jesus is real too, but we have to ask him through prayer for certain things and if we just sit on our hands and do nothing like we are, our country will be gone in a very short manner of time. I did not think it would go this quick. They figured out how to control the money through the government. We at this current point in time have no clue on how to get this back. They control the US along with the same people who allowed 911 to happen. Wake up people.
What thermite formulation are you referring to? There are multiple different nano-thermite formulations.
So throwing around the term nano-thermite is meaningless in this context.
Yup. Patriot Act was pre-written sitting on a shelf waiting for the op that would give it life.
Exactly our borders should have been closed that very day.
It started out as a perfectly normal day. I was going about my normal daily chores with the TV on in the living room when they broke in with a ‘breaking news’ announcement that a plane had crashed into one of the towers of the World Trade Center. We had a friend doing some carpentry work in the house, so my husband Willie and Barry came rushing into the room and we watched the TV for a while….. then in horror saw the second plane crash into the other tower. It was then that we knew that this was absolutely no wayward plane, but that we were under attack. We held hands and prayed together, then Barry went home to be with his family.
The attacks on the Pentagon and the crash in Schwenksville, PA further cemented our resolve. We can never forget what was taken from us on that terrible day! One third of Americans were not born when the attacks occurred, and that is why we must always hold these yearly observances. May God bless America, and may God bless President Trump!
9/11 Living Memorial Plaza in Ramot, Jerusalem…
Another in Russia.
In 2001 I was living and working as a DoD contractor in northern VA. People began leaving the office after the Pentagon was hit, and eventually most people went home early. Rush hour was nonexistent that night. I lived south of Dulles on the approach path, and the only air traffic that night was fighter jets periodically flying by on patrol. It was eerie and unsettling. Nobody knew if more attacks were coming, or it if was over.
I stayed up all night glued to my TV, waiting, watching, hoping for survivors. Imagining what it would be like to be trapped inside that burning rubble, praying for anyone who might be buried alive. Praying for the first responders who were risking their lives searching for anyone who might still be alive.
The next day my friends and I joined a candlelight walk along the mall, ending on the steps of the Capitol Building. We sang patriotic songs and carried the flag that had draped my friend’s grandfather’s casket.
Since then I’ve moved away from the DC Metro area, and most of those friends have become toxic progressives.
How much our world has changed.
So sad, but totally get when you say most of your friends have become toxic liberals. Mine too.
On 9/11, I had just been out of the Navy, and my husband was still in the Army. I didn’t know where he was that day, but I thought maybe he was at the Pentagon. I didn’t hear from him all day until late that night, and he called to say he was ok but couldn’t talk long. I vividly remember taking a walk and hearing nothing but the insects and birds; no planes (we lived near an airport). It was eerie. Like most of you, I watched on TV as the towers fell. It was the most sinking feeling in my stomach. I will never forget that image.
For one brief moment, it felt like our country gathered together in a somber mood of reflection. Within two years, that reflection felt gone. I remember hearing that Muslims were the victims, and I wondered, well, what about us? So many suffered from PTSD, both in New York and around D.C. These are the stories people don’t hear about. On that day, some people’s lives felt like they stopped because they lost children, husbands, and wives.
Every 9/11, I remember and am in a somber mood.
I worked closely with Sam Cardenas whose office was close to where the bomb hit the pentagon. He survived and although it was years later, he finally told me his story. He was recognized as a hero because he and a coworker would not leave his handicapped boss who had to leave her scooter behind. He told me that at one point they were crawling and couldn’t see their hands nor companions. Then twice they heard a voice that lead them. Later, all three agreed it was an angel. His boss was Gail Wirick and her testimony is part of the official 9/11 record. I lost touch with Sam but prayer for this special man on 9/11.
Still not a true sign of life…but the turtle issued a statement…ya have to scroll down abit on the link…there are a bunch of short blurbs…

I had just had Tommy John surgery a week prior and was recovering at my parents house. My dad woke me up and told me a plane had hit the towers. I got up and watched as the 2nd plane went into the 2nd tower. Ill always remember that day as well.
I am unable to put into words the pain and horror of that day, and today as well. I was born in NYC, lived there and worked there. My dad had worked in the towers but thankfully was retired. He called the local police and asked who he could call to offer his services to in order to bomb the arabs. He had served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Another family member was an EMT in NYC during this horror. He has never been the same.
I found churches opened and prayed with those in tearful sorrow. It helped me to keep going. I spoke to an operator on the phone, we still had them back then. I could tell she was distressed and asked her if she was okay. She told me a loved one working in the towers had been missing for 2 days and they were losing hope. We prayed.
What makes this even more horrible is the gut feeling we are not being told the truth especially with the islamic ‘invasion’ we are living with all around our nation.
Yes, my heart aches even more today than 2001 if that is possible, but I hold on to my Faith in Jesus Christ that when He returns He will make all things right. I continue to pray….
Forgot, that night queued up for nearly an hour to sign our local church’s remembrance book, there were hundreds of people waiting outside, when we arrived.
I was stationed on CG C THETIS. We were in the yards – out of the water…. The guys had rigged a UHF antenna so we could get a couple tv stations. Up in the ET shop I thought they were watching a movie as I walked in and saw the second tower hit. I don’t know what the rest of the CG was doing but we sure weren’t going anywhere having a giant hole cut into the hull to yank out some machinery for overhaul.
Everything changed – the sky went silent…and there we were high and dry, unable to help.
I was in bed in Portland, OR and clicked on the TV to see what was going on in the world. Just then the 2nd plane hit and I thought “our world is changed forever”.
After that never did I think that Islam is a religion of peace, that we would elect Barack Hussein Obama, that we would import people who have flat out stated they are here to destroy us and then elect them to Congress, that I would see women wearing those black tents when I go grocery shopping, and most unbelievable of all is that NY forgot and elected a muslim, lying, communist mayor.
This trajectory looks really bad!
I was a block away from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange on the 25th floor of the CITI building in Chicago… it was a day I’ll never forget. My children were fearing for my life and I was finally about to get through to let them know the city was safe – for now. (But, inside forces threaten that daily.) Stock Markets never opened that day and stayed closed the next four. Why more voters didn’t turn out to prevent the muslim from becoming mayor of NYC is alarming.
Because he promised free stuff, but has so far concealed the true cost. You get what you vote for.
Interesting photo I’ve not seen before showing the second tower being hit and flaming debris blown out what looks like blocks away. Note the little smoke trail level at first then dropping to who knows where.
My memory won’t let go of the MN absolutely cloudless sky and no noise at all from any aircraft. I had a meeting that was canceled and a few people were standing outside in the most eery daytime I’ve ever experienced.
Your first graph: that’s exactly the portion of the photo I zoomed in on. I wonder if there is any easy access to learn about the surrounding buildings.
I did see video of POTUS, merely a citizen at the time, say that his people were working under the threat of surrounding buildings being unstable. And a tower I am familiar with in the World Financial Center across the boulevard from WTC complex had its windows blown put.
But the distance of buildings in this photo appears to be a few blocks.
There’s one or two videos capturing the UA 175 impact from just about directly below. The sound of the explosions, the speed and amount of debris falling, and the sound of the debris landing are absolutely terrifying.
A piece of the fuselage was found on the roof of WTC 5, landing gear was found on top of 45 Park Place about 3 blocks north of the WTC complex, and an engine landed at the corner of Murray and Church Streets not far from the landing gear. I think the object you are talking about landed somewhere near WTC 7 and was part of the plane.
A sad article that raises a question….NORAD was/is in charge of air defense for the whole of North America. Why was there not at least one pair of fighter aircraft armed, fueled and ready to take off on 9-11-2001 within reach of NYC and DC? Was this a normal situation?
Former USAF pilot was mission briefed and ready to take off on a suicide mission to ram Flt 93 on 911. The passengers fought the highjackers and brought Flt 93 down before they launched the mission.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2026/09/powerful-former-air-force-lieutenant-was-sent-suicide/
NORAD is focused outward. I.E. looking for incoming bombers and missiles. The alert forces would have been at bases where the likely path of enemy aircraft would follow. Civilian planes following “normal” flight paths until they diverted wouldn’t have been on their radar.
What you state is true Earl but I’m asking that in the whole of the Eastern sector there wasn’t at least one pair of those alert birds ready, armed and able to deal with an external threat that day. Those birds could have covered anywhere in the Eastern sector of the US if launched from as far as Florida in minutes on full afterburner.
“The alert forces would have been at bases where the likely path of enemy aircraft would follow.”
The WTC as is, most of lower Manhattan (59thst down) was located, almost directly in the approach pattern to LaGuardia airport.
The was no perceived threat, or act of terrorism declaration, until after, the second aircraft, hit the South Tower. Anything flying in the area of three major airports, JFK, Newark and LaGuardia, were at altitudes, glide paths and communication (or lack of) which are under the jurisdiction of the FAA, not the DoD/NORAD.
Even with the chaos of the hijacked airlines underway, their variation of Flight Plans, combined with all of information overload. All three of the initial aircraft, No/So Twr, Pentagon, struck their designated targets. Before anyone had any concept of what was really happening. . .
I retired as a Detective with the NYPD, just months before September 11th, worked at 26 Fed, just blocks away for years.
By the time I had arrived at GZ, everything had collapsed. What once was 110 stories high and gleaming in the September sun. Were now barley 50 feet high, burning and boiling beneath concrete and steel, with the arid smell from the cremation of thousands of human beings.
I later spent 4 years deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan. Here’s something, some of you Keyboard Commandos better accept, quickly. What happened across our nation on September 11th, was in fact, the first wave of an islamic attack on America, period!
This NEVER FORGET mantra that everyone likes to cite, is Bullhsyte!
Islam has been attacking America, aided and abetted by American socialism, for almost 50years now!
If you want to show your sympathy for those murdered on that day, as well as those of us inflicted with Stage 4 Cancers.
Teach the nation not WHAT happened, that’s done, it’s over. The site as been repaired and the building has long been replaced.
Teach the nation WHO, did this and WHY they murdered thousands of Americans. . .
Because this Attack on America will surely become Their Fight next.
It has been and will be a generational fight. We had one chance immediately after 9/11 to permanently eradicate the worst of Islam, but instead it became a business opportunity for Bush and his cronies. The only solution in this world is the eradication of Islam, but no one in power has the balls to do it.
I lived at Ground Zero-WTC @ the building you see behind DiCaprio on the yatch in the Wolf of Wall Street . I am 1 of 4 people I know of who were warning that Osama bin Laden would strike the United States, and 1 of 2 who said he would hit the World Trade Center a second time. I moved before then, taking my own advice.
The backstory is simple. I joined the people the movie Trading Places is based on. I became a gold/option floor pit trader in the WTC @ COMEX. I joined, as a friend and as a trader, the people who were the largest gold traders in the world — the inventors of black-box trading, and the people who invented option-delta trading and cracking option prices. Thats why I lived at Ground Zero.
I was listening to the local intellectual radio station — WBAI, which was still truthful back then — when they had CIA contractors coming over from Afghanistan in 1984/85.
The contractors said the mujahideen said when were done with the Soviets, they would strike the United States, suck the US into a war in the Middle East and bankrupt US and drive the US out out of the Middle East. I started warning: “Do not arm these people. Do not train these people. Because one day they will come back and kill us.” My exact words.
In 1989 Osama bin Laden announced he was going to attack the United States. I started warning everybody that bin Laden would strike the United States. It is just that simple. And I was ridiculed for it.
Early 90’s the News Papers reported that they had caught one of bin Laden’s people with plans to blow up buildings in Manhattan. No one did anything.
I did not expect the first attack, in 1993, to be at the Trade Center itself. After it happened, my friend — “The Doctor who Conquered Roulette” (google it)— immediately knew they were trying to blow the retaining wall and collapse the towers into themselves. They almost got me. They blew up the underground parking garage right there in front of me. I soon realized Bin Laden would obviously hit the WTC again. I moved and my friends who had a floor of the WTC for their trading companies moved uptown.
MI6 agent Alastair Crooke armed and trained the Mujahideen & Bin Laden providing the missiles to shoot down the soviet helicopters, after the war he went around to various European intelligence agencies warning the mujahideen & company were going to attack Europe and that they needed to be destroyed before they do. NO government listened not even the US govt-and this is the guy who trained the mujahideen!
On top of all this one month before the attack, Alex Jones specifically said Osama bin Laden was going to strike. No one listened.
So that is 3 people. The 4th — and the only other person I know of, besides myself, who warned that Bin Laden would strike the World Trade Center a second time — is Rick Rescorla. He determined that the Trade Center was still a target. I said the same thing, very simply: they are going to hit the Trade Center a second time, and they will probably pull up a boat. I was thinking either a bright blue flash or a giant tanker loaded with a fertilizer bomb-right where I lived!
I warned about all of this to people in COMEX there at our exchange in the WTC and I was again ridiculed.
There is now a place on Facebook for the people who died in the World Trade Center who were on COMEX. Everything I knew, everything I said, was public knowledge. Anyone could have figured this out. Only a few did.
Yep, after the first bombing, I knew they would be back to try to finish the job. I started working at Liberty Plaza the day the first time they bombed, carrying all my files down blocks in bags on my shoulders to my new office because the streets were all blocked off and the cab had to stop around the B’klyn Bridge. Why I left early on 9/11, and self-evac’d. Never Forget.
I was in between jobs that day. Up until a few months before 9/11, I had worked at a tech firm on Broadway just a few blocks from the WTC. So, having been unemployed for a few months, I was up early looking for jobs online at Monster.com, and Flipdog.com. I turned on my TV near my desk (this was about 8:30 AM). The local NY news was talking about the weather, and how it was a beautiful day, and the usual morning news show talk. After a few minutes, the news cut to the North Tower burning, and they reported that some sort of plane had hit the tower just minutes earlier. “Oh, my God”, I remember thinking, and I really just thought it was some sort of horrible accident. A few minutes later I watched live on TV as the second plane hit the South Tower. I was absolutely stunned and motionless. I remember grabbing my dog, and just sitting there in shock. Then, obviously, we all knew what was happening. I’ll never forget that day. 9/11 changed this country and it changed the world. I never thought I’d see it happen, but 9/11 actually accelerated mass immigration and globalism. It makes me sick to think about. America is in big, big trouble now because of 30 years of reckless immigration policies that benefit big corporations. I think we’re all in danger now from the leftist globalists and their pro-corporate fascism. They’re violent and crazy and they’re working to dismantle America. Don’t be fooled by their alleged “socialism”. It’s a smokescreen to distract you. They’re in the pocket of multinational billionaires with no real home countries, who hate America.
I live less than 40 miles from Shanksville Pa. While walking in the park and listening to the radio a plane flew extremely low over the park. I am positive it was the plane heading to Shanksville because shortly after the announcement came about the crash. Also a classmate of mine had a daughter who was working in one of the towers. I will never forget,,
I was in my office in Ft Lee, NJ. My son called to tell me *a plane* just hit the towers. We both thought it was a small private plane. Put the conference room TV on …. hell ensued!!
Office was approx 25 minutes North of NYC. Eventually you could see clouds of dark smoke in the sky.
Attended 2 funerals – one was a Captain NYFD (they carried his coffin on a fire truck, draped w/an American Flag) – lived a few houses from me – 2 young children – His boy eventually became NYFD.
Other was Lt. NYFD – His Mother was a co-worker. (Never found his body) – left 3 little girls.
No one has to remind me …. I WILL NEVER FORGET!!
President Trump speaks starting at about 1 hour 8 minutes.

I worked for Airlines Reporting Corporation in Arlington, Viginia. My office window faced South with a clear view of the Pentagon roof, just the other side of Arlington National Cemetery. ARC settles all the plane tickets sold in the US. Tuesday’s were our busiest day helping travel agents submit thier weekly sales. It was a beautiful sunny morning, though facing South, we kept the window blinds closed to help reduce the solar energy. Travel agents from NY began calling about the situation there. Then we realized that the Pentagon got hit. We watched in utter shock and dismay at the flames and smoke rising from the impact site. After about two hours we were instructed to leave work and make our way home as best we could. By that time the federal government had shut down and there was mass gridlock on all the streets and highwas in NOVA.
Room 5E413, Pentagon. We thought it was a transformer explosion until PFPA told us to leave. It can best be described as “orderly confusion”. Smoke encountered on the escalator between 4th and 3rd floors. Crowd leaving through the acrid smoke in the ground level exit tunnel. Casualties were being treated on the lawn. Making way for fire trucks. Spent the afternoon trying to get home.
The next day was even more hectic, as we started to assess the damage. Our Component sustained injuries but no fatalities. We were told to leave at noon because the building was on fire. Able to get back on Thursday for a full day of reconsitiution and recovery beginning.
The hardest part was crossing Center Court in the weeks following. There was a temporary morgue located there, and notes of encouragement from school children were attached to the chain link fence surrounding it. I was later able to keep one.
I remember it was roughly midnight in Australian Eastern time when it occurred, but morning the next day before most in Australia heard about it.
We sat in our lounge watching numbers of tiny people filmed from a distance jumping out of buildings, and what looked like smoke rolling through the streets as people ran, and endless reruns of a large plane flying low overhead and disappearing behind a building.
A segment of President Trump’s 911 remembrance speech at the Pentagon today:
“In those harrowing days after the attacks, we saw the authentic spirit of our nation. We were all New Yorkers that day,” Trump said. “Every one of us. We were all New Yorkers. But we were also all Americans. We were all family. We were all patriots. The enemy might destroy what American hands had built, but we could not touch the fight and the fire and the love in our great American hearts.”
The footage of AOC and Zohran Mamdani yucking it up as tbe names of the murdered are read is repulsive in the extreme. They dont even try to hide their uncaring attitude to what happened to those people and this country.
What tbe f#ck is wrong with you New York? No seriously. Why are these people representing your city and state? What do tbey have to do to show you how much they dont dont give a sh#t about you?
I’m convinced these darlings of the DSA are not mourning the lives lost on Sept 11. They are celebrating.
New York City has been invaded, and is still being invaded. Most sane people want the federal government to stop the invasion and deport the invaders.
You assume they were “elected” and not selected. NYC is the invention center of election fraud.
I was giving a presentation to a prospect in Louisville KY, and one of the people in the meeting had a daughter living in lower Manhattan. When the receptionist interrupted to let us know what happened, of course the meeting was over. I went to the Red Cross the next day to give blood, thinking there was still hope for survivors. The line was so long it took 8 hours. Sadly, the donations were not needed for that purpose. I remember how quiet the skies were for several days, and when flights resumed, how I always watched more intently as they passed. Such a tragedy. It’s hard for me to square the fact that NYC has elected a muslim mayor. I pray that this city wakes up before it’s too late to eradicate him.
Twenty-five years after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people, the alleged plotters still have not faced a trial.

I was working at the GM Tech Center in Warren, MI. A couple of co-workers told me a “small plane” had hit the first tower, the news was still calling it an accident. Then we heard the 2nd tower was hit, and we knew it was terrorism. We were not evacuated, though the GM HQ in Detroit was. I called family and a couple of friends, we were all shocked and speculating who the perpetrators were. I went to a conference room with a large TV and watched the coverage, shivering and most of the time alone. Finally I went home and of course watched more of the appalling coverage before I finally went to bed.
The next day was another clear, beautiful day. The Air National Guard had flown overhead in the early morning, leaving circular contrails. It was comforting: but shocking to realize nobody in ANG or active military had reacted quickly enough to detect the hijackings or to stop any of the planes.
When I heard the
Flight 93 stories, I was in awe of those heroic passengers.
We must teach the truth to our children of what and how this happened, and never forget.
We had recently had satellite TV service installed, and my wife and I were on our second cup of coffee here on the West Coast as I turned on the TV that morning. Shocked at the images of horror, pretty speechless and angry. The following days of silent no-flight skies were eerie. America must ever forget.
I was working 11pm to 7am on 10th.
So I got off work and slept through the morning of the 11th.
Only to wake up to what happened.
It was so surreal flipping on the TV and reading the events of the day.
The TV coverage, if I have not known the Trade Center was down, and the Pentagon with its gapping hole and an airliner down in the grass in Pennsylvania, I would swore from the TV with its live now coverage banner was in fact still standing.
It was so confusing.
So many years later, that was the moment I place the 24/7 news cycle discovering its legs to glued eyeballs.
On another note after years have passed.
One of my reoccurring thoughts shortly as the week’s passed, the phrase ‘Will Never Forget’.
became the symbol of healing and putting a place note in history.
My thinking was, ” No to word ‘will’ never forget talking points.
And my specific issue was with the word ‘will’.
The phrase should have been “Shall never forget.”
Essentially because a ‘will’ can be bent.
So 25 years later, I have to say there is more truth to behold in today’s landscape, observed over that simple word choice.
Kind of makes a person wonder if the memory of the 911 events of September 11th and the challenges to over come would have turned differently through the single word SHALL.
I had dropped my youngest child off at school. I then went on my daily three-mile walk. It was beautiful day. I got home and for some reason had turned the tv on in my bedroom which is something I don’t usually do then jumped in the shower. When I was done and walked into the bedroom I saw the first tower on fire. I had just assumed the building was on fire. The tv volume was low, so I wasn’t really listening as I got dressed. It was when I sat down on the edge of my bed to put my shoes on and watched the second plane fly into the second building that I understood what I was watching. I sat there stunned. My phone wrang and it was one of my best friends. We talked each other through it so we would not panic. We hung up and my phone wrang again. It was the school district prerecorded message asking parents to come collect their children from school. I did just that. Took me a little bit to calm my children and reassure them that we were not in any danger. Then they went off and did what they would nominally do on a day off of school, read a book, work on a puzzle or play on the Sega. Husband called to check in and let me know the job site was shut down, and he was on his way home. I watched some more news coverage for a little bit. The pentagon was hit and Flight 93 went down. I turned off the tv went outside and sat on the back patio and watched all the planes that were flying into the PHI Airport line up in the sky and wait their turn to land and thought to myself those passengers had to be so scared and then the tears came. I remember and I will never forget.
I was in college at the time. It was also a Tuesday & I didn’t have any classes on Tuesdays. I was sleeping in from having been up late the night before (I was a very different person in those days) & awoke to my phone ringing incessantly just after 12:00 noon. On the other end was my grandmother frantically imploring me to turn on the TV, crying that we had been attacked. She had lived through Pearl Harbor & been traumatized by it, so for her this was like reopening an old wound. As soon as I began to process the unimaginable horror of what I was looking at I knew nothing would ever be the same again, & it wasn’t.
Also had a cousin who worked at the WTC but by the grace of God was away on business that day.
Some people did some things…….
Omar, Talib, Mamdani, Piker, El Sayed, and the DSA are continuing “some peoples” work……
According to GROK there are now 255 Muslim’s “serving” in public offices around the country. That’s up from 189 “serving’ in 2022.
Madness.
It’s bad, it’s so bad.
Our local school administration and school board sympathizers tried to sneak one onto the board through election cheating.
They were caught.
I was taking part of the morning off from grad school to help out at church with moving dirt for landscaping. One of the contractors had the radio on in their truck. I couldn’t hear much, but it sounded bad.
I had taken a PATH train from Hoboken to the WTC to get to a business meeting in the complex somewhere. During the time our train was under the Hudson River, the first plane hit the North tower. When we arrived at the WTC PATH station deep under the complex, the other passengers and I could not help noticing all smoke on the train platform, of course having no idea what had happened. Soon rumors about the “plane crash” began to circulate and everyone started for ground level. Some ran, but for the most part it was very orderly. Upon reaching street level, I made my way to the nearest exit which was Vesey Street. On the sidewalk, everyone was looking up at the unbelievable sight of the back half of a jet liner sticking out of the building, way, way up. Thus began my 8-9 hour trip back to my home in New Jersey, thankful to be alive.
My most vivid memories were 1) the jumpers I saw plummeting from those upper floors in the North tower and 2) the screaming of a jet engine just before the second plane hit the South tower and the explosion of fire that emerged from the side of the building as I watched from the corner of Church and Vesey. ( the plane had hit on the opposite side of the building from where I was standing). Like it happened yesterday.
The jumpers always haunted me. The mental torture of having to make that decision.
I always imagine how bad it must have been up there, when the better option was to jump. Bless their souls
“The 9/11 jumpers had to choose between jumping from the towers or burning alive.
About 200 people made that choice on 9/11.
Never forget what they were forced to decide.”

They did not wilfully jump. They were murder victims, did not commit suicide.
I still remember the sound of their impact heard on TV coverage that day
Thank you CM. I keep a picture of the man who fell head first, you probably know which one. I think about him and hope he was already in the arms of LORD Jesus as he fell. I want to believe they all were.
Will save this video.
The ‘Burn Trauma’ nurse in me, cannot fathom that…
For those unaware, FOIA requests have resulted in the release of dozens of different videos taken by both amateur and professional cameramen. Many of these videos contain scenes as bad as you can imagine, and worse. Some of the most difficult stuff to watch is actually the reactions from people in the crowds, especially from workers who have just escaped from the buildings and are able to see what was happening for the first time. You don’t need to guess what is going through their minds at that point.
Several organizations are working to track down all remaining footage and digitally scan it for historical preservation. New video continues to turn up. And no, this is not AI generated footage… yet.
It should be noted that not everyone who fell jumped. Several people clearly fell accidentally, were struck by others falling or by falling debris while hanging out of windows, or fell trying to escape using makeshift ropes and parachutes. One man was observed climbing down the facade of the North Tower and had made it about 20 stories when the South Tower collapsed.
In the end this are small distinctions. Only 19 people planned on dying that day. Everyone else was not given a choice.
This visual stays with me clearly, even now. Can’t watch it again, but thank you for posting.
Seeing the footage of the jumpers scars me to this day, and I avoid watching them. The men who jumped headlong to their death.
In particular, there was a woman who jumped in one of the videos and what was her reaction to falling through the air? It was to hold down the skirt of her dress so that she would not be caught undignified on the way down.
I still cry. God bless them all.
>sniff<
I was working in the Boeing plant in Renton where we produced the 757.
Someone yelled that a plane hit the trade center.
Production stopped and all our monitor screens started showing the news.
Total shock knowing we had built 2 of those planes.
2, 752 of our fellow citizens were murdered in the attack on the World Trade Center
189 of our fellow citizens wree murdered in the attack on the pentagon
92 of our fellow citizens wree murdered on Flight 11
64 of our fellow citizens wree murdered on Flight 77
65 of our fellow citizens wree murdered on Flight 175
44 of our fellow citizens wree murdered on Flight 93
Remember those trapped by fire on the 83rd floor of the North Tower.
Remember those whose only salvation was to jump to their deaths.
Remember those who rushed up the stairs to try and save their lives.
Remember those who worked at the Pentagon and never came home
Remember the 230 days of digging in the rubble
Remember the 19, 500 body parts found at Ground Zero
Remember the 1,300 orphans left behind.
This is what I remember from that day and the days that followed.
This is why I can never and will never forget.
“For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
2 Peter 1:11 —
In prayer that our Lord granted any dispensation to those who were in need.

THIS is how Canada Honors 9/11
Across the pond, back then, per AI:
Prime Minister Tony Blair immediately offered the UK’s full support, famously stating that Britain would stand “shoulder to shoulder” with the United States, while rapidly implementing significant domestic security measures.
Per AI:
Following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Queen Elizabeth II broke a 600-year-old royal tradition by ordering the Band of the Coldstream Guards to play the U.S. national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner,” during the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace on September 13, 2001.
This unprecedented gesture, intended to show solidarity with Americans stranded in London, moved many in the crowd of onlookers to tears.
And
The Queen also issued a formal statement expressing “disbelief and total shock” and sent a condolence message to New York City, which included her famous quote: “Grief is the price we pay for love.” She later attended a special service at St.
Paul’s Cathedral where the U.S. anthem was played again, and she visited the World Trade Center site during a state visit in 2010 to honor the victims.
The gracious Queen had a heart.
Meanwhile GB embraces Islam. Never forget, this was not just a “terrorist” attack. It was a muslim attack. This is Islam. Islam proclaims, terrorize the infidel, smite them at the neck.
Yet here we are, just like GB, embracing Islam. Islam has no intention of assimilating. Islam is here to conquer, kill and destroy anything and everything that is not Islamic.
Until people wake up to this reality, it will only get worse. How much killing must we experience before the masses wake up and demand our government act appropriately. Islam is a terrorist organization.
I was convalescing on the couch after a painful surgery the day before, it hurt to breath. My sister called me that morning and told me to put on the news. I lay there for hours in shock and a growing anger. I forgot all about my pain until I got up.
I worked as an investigator for New York State at Two World Trade Center on the 51st floor from 1973 to 1978. I could look out my window down onto the New York Harbor, the Hudson River and the Verrazano Bridge. When the winter wind blew my desk would sway 4 feet from side to side with the building. On 9/11 I watched the news and saw the first jet hit the building and called my Mom in New York. I told her that the buildings were coming down and they had to evaluate both towers. The fact that they didn’t was a criminal offence of murder. The total incompetence of tell the police to not evacuate the second tower before the second plane hit was murder in the first degree. A thousand people died from that mistake. The towers were not built like the Empire State Building!
The Port Authority initially chose not to evacuate the South Tower, and announced the building was safe and for workers to return to their offices. Many did. How that decision was made, given the history of the buildings as a target, is beyond me. Even assuming the incident may have been only an accident at the point, you have a situation with a fire of unknown origin above the 90th floor of the tower next door. I can understanding not evacuating the ESB in Midtown right away, but choosing to not get as many people down to ground level immediately in the rest of the WTC complex is inexplicable to me. You might not be able to evacuate them right away, but at least have them on the ground.
As it was, around 200 people were stacked up in the 78th Sky Lobby and were physically hit by 175 as it tore into the building. Only a handful of people in the lobby escaped. Had an evacuation of the South Tower been carried out immediately it is probable that nearly all of them, in fact nearly all South Tower occupants, would have been below the impact zone before UA 175 struck it.
In the Naudet footage you can see the NYFD leadership as they set up their incident command post in the North Tower lobby. They’re in control of the situation and get a plan worked out, then just as they break the huddle and plan to go into action they hear UA 175 hit the South Tower. While they don’t panic, you can tell by their reactions the situation has passed out of their ability to control it, and they know it. That’s not a knock on them, the event had become too big and overwhelmed the logistical capabilities of the NYFD.
We lived in central New Jersey at the time on Sept.11, 2001. I will never forget the day after the winds had shifted and a heavy “smokiness” that you could smell & almost taste began to waft westward from NYC to where we lived. At first we thought it must be a big fire nearby, but something clicked in my head and I said – that is not smoke from a nearby fire. We were smelling the clouds of the collapsed twin tower smoking debris mixed with the remains of the departed souls. Horrible image. A nearby friend’s son worked high up in one of the twin towers, but by the grace of God that day was on an out of NY state business trip. I still cannot believe it’s been 25 years.
I went to work. But my thoughts for a long time were not peaceful toward the perpetrators and their enablers. My views on the matter have not changed since. 3000 people lost their lives to an ideology that is criminal and has no place in a civilized society. It must be destroyed. I’m sorry. I won’t hedge. There are no peaceful parts there.
I was delivering auto parts in brick, nj listening to Imus on the radio. At first ,when he announced the 1st plane hit,I wasn’t sure if he was serious, soon I knew.
On another note, have and x,SIL, down here in FL. Was a brooklyn firefighter on 09/11 who spent almost a month ,sifting through the debris looking for body parts. Of course within 2 years ,retired with full disability for breathing problems, after 5 years as a NYFD firefighter. Those 30 days probably seemed like a lifetime
Pray and help others
There is nothing (as in NO THING) in your comment to be sorry for.
Being dis-illusioned is a good thing: it’s important that we lay the illusions aside. VERY important.
Agreed. It is not a “religion” as understood by our First Amendment, which understood religions to be beliefs held by peaceful people. Islam is a violent cult of death, and it does not rise to the level of “religion.” They are savage animals that should put down just as anyone would put down a rabid dog. It’s a cancer on the world that must be eradicated if peaceful people are to survive on this planet.
The silence in the neighborhood. No planes no vehicle no dogs no birds completely silent.
I was a United Airlines 767 Captain on reserve, one of 67 who could have been called for those flights that day. My number was not up. I was dating a man who owned a small flight company and flew corporate jets. His secretary called me to tell me that a small airplane hit the WTC and not to worry it wasn’t him. I wasn’t worried- “probably some Cessna” I thought. He had flown into Teterboro, closer to NYC than EWR and was stuck there with the business jet for days. I turned on the TV and sat with horror all day.
Lots of stories from my fellow pilots who were flying that day. It was clear weather so many airplanes had minimal fuel reserves, alternate airports quickly became saturated and everyone had a story about scrambling to get it on the ground safely. My favorite was my buddy who flew the all-nighter in from SFO to LGA. He was talking to approach, cleared for the approach into LGA and they saw a lot of smoke from NYC. Seemed strange. ATC switched them to tower frequency and they were cleared to land. Then the second plane hit. Tower control announced: all landing clearances canceled. All New York City airports now closed due to multiple attacks . Go around and contact approach control on Frequency —.
Approach Control also worked departure and they were swamped. Large ‘heavy’ aircraft arriving from Europe had priority, needed longer runways which were sparse and had many had less fuel reserves. My buddy told ATC they could make DCA and promptly got a clearance to fly south, get out of his airspace and contact the next center. They quickly refiled him (new ATC clearance) to DCA and he was on final approach to DCA when the Pentagon was hit. They could see the explosion. DCA Tower control announced DCA was closed. My buddy tersely explained their fuel situation was critical and asked “what do you want me to do?” The controller – a professional – got it. “Just get it on the grounds as quickly as you can.” He was one of 2 airplanes that landed at DCA that day after the Pentagon hit. Everyone walked away safely — that’s our job.
My buddy was seriously never the same. Formerly a classical guitar player, he learned everything about guns, became a Federal Flight Deck Officer (FFDO) and found his inner Rambo. He retired early.
The rest of us watched our lives fall apart. I had a 70% pay cut, got bumped to another city and another airplane (seniority) and saw my pension erased with the stroke of a pen. The First Officers I was flying with were either getting furloughed or called up to military service. I ‘never lost a stripe’ kept the privilege and responsibility of flying Captain and made it a point of honor to never complain. I just bought the coffees and tried to keep my crew comfortable and happy as we took care of our pax.
Airline flying was never the same. When I learned the ‘fully vested’ pension fund was erased I realized I had to go back and finish law school and learn how all this crap really works… practicing aviation law ever since and still trying to figure it out.
Was on bus heading into Lincoln Tunnel as driver said ‘a small plane’ had hit the top of a tower. We could see black smoke rising. I called my wife to tell her….as our neighbor worked for Cantor Fitzgerald, we were already concerned.
Got off bus, sprinted to my office at Rock Center….called my wife just as the second plane hit. Everyone then knew these were terrorist attacks. We had a few hundred people at work — we were also thinking Rock Center buildings might be targeted….so whoever wanted to leave left. Later that morning, I walked from midtown to check on our daughter at her apartment in ‘the frozen zone’ ..you needed proof of residency to walk or travel south of 14th Street. With every block I moved south
a steady stream of vehicles and people covered with vile WTC ‘dust’ headed north.
I stayed in Manhattan for the rest of the week. ..too many interactions and observations to document here.
The stench was strong and lingered for weeks.
The aftermath…continues.
Our neighbor’s name was read once again this morning.
My cousin Kathy worked as an executive secretary for Drexel Burnhan and then Merrill Lynch on Wall Street. After 9/11 she said that she would never take a job in Manhattan where she had to work in an office higher than the reach of the NYFD Ladder trucks!!!
I did some pro bono work for some of the families of the Cantor Fitzgerald people who were murdered. If you remember, they had a fund to pay the families, but how much they were paid was based on certain “formulas” some cretin bureaucrat came up with. In addition to whatever salary the victim would have been expected to make over his lifetime, we also had to document his/her other values, such as fixing the screen door, repairing the mailbox, etc. Dollar amounts placed on mundane tasks like these. The most mortifying work I ever had to do.
This day had a massive affect on my then 6 year old son. On this day he decided he would someday be a firefighter. Most little kids at one time say they want to be a fireman, but that thought never lasts very long. Not my son. He tried college and a 9 to 5 life, but the urge never left him. He never gave up his dream and finally succeeded a few years ago. When asked why he chose such a dangerous job, he answers… “it’s a calling.”
My wife and I are both proud and terrified.
September 11th on the civil or commercial calendar is August 29th on the Patristic Calendar of the Orthodox Christian Church.
That morning I missed going to the Divine Liturgy for the Feast of the Beheading of the Glorious Prophet, Forerunner, and Baptist John.
That day, like today, is a fast day.
There has been a practice among more traditional Orthodox Christians for a long time to avoid using at least a knife (possibly or probably other tools, as well) to cut anything on this day in remembrance of his martyrdom.
I ended up driving to work, passing my home, turning on the radio, hearing the stunning news, looking at that clear blue sky, and not knowing that even in the middle of the country every bridge over the Mississippi River would be closed shortly after the terrorist strikes.
A man in the area, a Lutheran minister (Missouri Synod), lost a family member on one of the flights.
In the days, weeks, and months after he vigorously protested that no prayer memorial services in honor of the victims should include representatives of any and every religion (especially Mohammedanism) and that this syncretism and ecumenism was spiritually dangerous.
He was, and is correct. Genuine Christians worship the Holy Trinity, which all the others reject.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy upon me, a sinner.
I was a block away from GZ on the other side of Liberty Park. Around a quarter to 9 am I saw Gold Futures spike higher about 10% and THEN heard the first boom. Management blew it off, called a sales meeting for 9. Moving furniture upstairs or something. Called my Mom and my SO to let them know I was OK and alert. 15 minutes later, second boom. I saw papers flying past my window wondered why a ticker tape parade, and then was like, we didn’t win anything, and this isn’t an accident. Self evacuated my building down the stairs with my assistant. It took her 9 hours to get back to Staten Island, she had to walk across the Verazanno Bridge. I asked a floor trader from the NYSE on the street if he saw the second plane fly into the WTC, yep. I asked him if the NYSE had closed. Yep. I bought an extra pack of cigs at the Chase plaze and started walking uptown. I was at the 6th Avenue basketball courts when the first Tower dropped, heard a mega gasp, turned around, it was gone. I kept walking, never looked back again.
That must have been one terrifying walk across the Verazanno for your assistant.
Friend of mine was strolling her newborn baby across 5th Ave. for their daily morning walk thru Central Park. Saw the tower suddenly drop while crossing 5th Ave.
Had no idea why or how it had happened, nor did anyone around her.
