Ukraine’s anti-graft agencies, the NABU and SAPO, said last week they had uncovered a criminal organisation dealing with fraudulent call centres which was allegedly arranged by an official within the Prosecutor General’s Office.

As with the US attorney general and the US FBI, when they begin an investigation, involving those in power or themselves, that evidence is collected so that no one will ever see it….it goes into the black hole. “cannot discuss while there is an ongoing investigation”….and “as the attorney general I have decided to not pursue prosecution”…because you know that IS the power of the AG…

that’s the ugly dirty truth about transfer of power between outgoing and incoming AG’s. I think most people just don’t understand this. But it does explain why none of the conspirators and criminals in the former regime will ever see any serious charge. Incoming AG’s simply do not have the information they need to establish facts of evidence. That is gone. Recreating them possible, but unlikely.
that’s my read on this Ukraine story. it’s a well planned exodus so that all of the corruption that has happened in ukraine never get read out, never seen, never introduced as evidence in a court.

As far as the office of Prosecutor General, it’s been a revolving door since Biden got Shokin fired in 2016. PG’s last a year or two, but the internal fighting, particularly among the military, is indicative of the internal chaos.

Just returned from two weeks traveling around Poland. The guides all paint Putin as the devil but it seems clear to anyone walking the plaza in the evening that lots of money is floating around Poland. My guess is that the “war” is a financial success for many Poland hospitality businesses.
Since Poland is part of the EU the view that Putin is the devil and war is imminent seems to be a consistent EU view. Guess they all watch the same information stations.
