In this episode from Promethean Action’s Barbara Boyd she takes a look at the U.S. economy and the Main Street policies of President Trump versus the banking/Wall Street Canadian economy. In the August jobs report the U.S. economy added 162,000 jobs, while the Canadian August jobs report reflected 42,000 job losses.
Boyd – “A blockbuster U.S. jobs report showing 162,000 jobs created is contrasted with Canada’s 40,000 job loss under Mark Carney, as Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent tells Steve Bannon that Wall Street and major outlets like the Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal stoke economic panic and spread “fake news,” citing a misframed story about Norway’s sovereign wealth fund shifting from Treasuries into higher-yield Fannie and Freddie securities.
This episode frames today’s challenge as a “Red Queen economy,” arguing America must grow productivity fast enough to outrun debt, China’s advances, and infrastructure and skills obsolescence, while blaming Biden-era inflation and spending. It spotlights Trump administration workforce initiatives, including expanded training and Pell Grant use and the new Foundry School—an advanced manufacturing program with a Stanford curriculum and international PAX Silica partners. Finally, it covers Trump executive orders aiding ranchers’ beef processing and DOJ antitrust scrutiny of major meatpackers and retailers.”

“the Main Street policies of President Trump versus the banking/Wall Street Canadian economy.”
You can only have one or the other, there is no middle ground.
It appears to me, with the obvious positive momentum of PDT’s economic policies, what seems to be lacking is a solid PR blitz that emphasizes where we’re headed. This current lag time is being used by the globalists and the leftists to spread doom and gloom. Most of the general public likely doesn’t understand positive job growth etc.
Hopefully the mid-terms Republican convention can snap 🫰🏼 the MSM stranglehold on non-reporting of anything positive and Orange man bad TDS. Spit
THe MSM is outright lying 90% of the time…. and should be charged with crimes.
90? Either spot on or too kind.
The majority of our media is a cancer to OUR United States of America! And it’s a cancer that wants to exist and fester for as long as possible for the next 2+ years. Host be damned! Cancers don’t care, but the host does. So sometimes it takes (from my understanding) a treatment that could harm the host. Is that where we are? I’m willing if so, for the sake of my kids and grandchild. My time isn’t necessarily short age wise, but dammit, something has got to change. It’s not about me anymore. Damn these politicians that we are stuck with, due to morons that vote them in. /off my soapbox…
That’s the problem. Reality shouldn’t need a media blitz. But it does for some.
I understand positive job growth…. and I also understand that the price of everything between 2018 and now has doubled…. thanks to Bidenflation nonsense. The disconnect is how you close that gap, while local Govt’s are taxing the piss out of everyone. Productivity will not grow if the local Govt’s are sucking away all of our cash… but prices will continue to rise to offset those taxes. I said it before and I’ll say it again no company in the USA should control more than 5% of any industry… and if we wanted to get to the nitty gritty it should be closer to 2.5% of any industry. Thankfully the DOJ anti trust division is looking into the retailers and hopefully they will be broken up…. especially Walmart considering how much of the Foodstamp money (hundreds of billions) they have basically been looting from us… while increasing prices at a record clip. They are also able to manipulate elections via that situation by lowering and raising prices. There are about 5 main issues affecting people…. Food Prices, Gas Prices, Insurance, Jobs, and Taxes. So Walmart can manipulate food prices at scale….. The old GOP faction Skull and Bones crew can manipulate Oil and Gas… The Democrat aligned Buffet can manipulate almost all of those via Berkshire….. (minus taxes) When these companies have an at scale ability to manipulate sectors they are monopolies and we have a duty as a Free Nation to break them up.
I said it before and I’ll say it again no company in the USA should control more than 5% of any industry…..
I have made the same point and Truer words were never spoken.
We now have approximately three organizations, BlackRock, Vanguard, and State Street, that more or less own the world including what used to be family own single family homes.
Google owns the internet.
We peons get the crumbs they have not yet vacuumed up.
You are correct. I see & hear it daily– both in online chatter & from countless people in the wild. People are hurting financially.
Most aren’t the type to understand longterm objectives, or see the bigger picture.
And if we are being honest, most of the loudest conservative voices of past are no more. Whether death, eliminating them from platforms, or self-sabotage (for whatever reason)… our side is sorely lacking & it’s a long list. Likely by design.
Do I think these people will go out & vote Dem? No. They just won’t bother voting.
Do I blame PDJT who is kept in a bubble? No. Nor does he have any foundational basis to be able to relate to someone who has to choose between paying a bill, or going to the grocery store to feed their family… & then only walking out with a bag or 2 of food.
Or understand that for many, simply putting gas in the car to get to work, conceivably puts them at a deficit- depending on their pay & shift time.
He doesn’t see the countless elderly – well past retirement working jobs high school kids used to do. Not b/c they want to, but b/c they have to just to get by.
The job market- it’s a battle to defeat the algorithms that filter out a certain type of people, & there are also many bogus job postings.
We cannot fault one man for what was years in the making, nor expect him to fix it overnight, if ever. But it does not help when he makes remarks that sound completely removed & not reading the room of everyday people.
“Stock Market soaring” as a reflection of the economy– only comes off as gaslighting to the majority of regular people. It’s more so reinforcing they’re being price gauged from every angle.
I observe & I listen, and I’m simply relaying my findings. I do get it, but I’m not exaggerating when I say most do not.
*price gouged
Where were all these people crying when BITE ME had prices thru the roof and we couldn’t afford anything? Gas was through the roof so how did people afford to get to work then? They just want to blame Trump.
Spot on! It’s the people like us on the ground who can’t get ahead for the life of us. Just my school tax bill went up $300, electric doubled and grocery trips have dropped to once every 5/6 weeks (milk, bread, basic staples excl). Then when something of necessity breaks), we’re forced to put it on a credit card. Gas hasn’t dropped at all, bouncing between 4.19-4.39 a gallon. Trump announced investigations given to state attorneys for gouging. Good luck in blue states like mine. We definitely don’t benefit from any of his policies and are so bogged down at this point in our life, can’t even think about leaving the hellhole were in!
Well said Sir
Recent stat that 30 percent of 20-35 adults are living with their parents.
Rents have doubled and tripled since Covid, groceries, utilities, car insurance all increased.
Of course, it’s Biden’s fault not Trump’s.
But unless Trump finds a pit bull type Tom Homan economic PR working class messenger who can relate and come out swinging against the communist propaganda machine, all his successes could go by the wayside in 2028.
And they’ll make doom and gloom hay out of the recently announced closing of the Louisana-Pacific Plant in Jasper, TX, costing 150 jobs; all the Texas media is harping on it in hopes of beating Ken Paxton in the mid-terms.
That’s the first we’ve heard of that and I’m in Nacogdoches County. When did it close?
Time for those Trump rallies again to spread the word.
These numbers might mean nothing if the two economies were similar, but Canada has an economy the size of Texas. Adjusted for proportion, this is Canada in a jobs death spiral
One of the major benefits of the Main Street Policies besides the great manufacturing jobs is the rising tide raises all the ships especially the banks. The banks get to loan money to companies for manufacturing expansion…buildings, equipment, people. The Wall Street economy is managing the decline and everybody loses in the long run.
The Wall Street economy is premised on the economic pie being static or shrinking. The Main Street economy is premised on making more pies.
“The Wall Street economy”
The Wall Street economy (as it was played out) was maximum profit in the shortest time possible regardless of long term consequences.
A question: Did governmental jobs continue their decline? If so, the figure of 162K jobs added underestimates how well the private sector is flourishing.
“A question: Did governmental jobs continue their decline?”
I do not know. I merely desire to stay informed; however, I do not obsess over much of this, especially things I have no control over. I do pray about those things, though.
2 Timothy
2:1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
2:4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
Ephesians
1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
Philippians
4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Oh… Canadone.
Or Canagone….
Oh Canadrone, as in drones….do nothings vice worker bees.

years ago there was a soap.it was called calgon.they knew clear back in the 60’s canada was doomed.
Remember calgon…
also,
was thinking CA applies to the state
“Oh… Canadone.”
Hopefully not. I don’t relish the thought of Canada becoming so weak as to give unfettered access to the Chinese. As they slowly spiral down the drain they become more and more of a burden on the already weak house of cards economy that is Europe. As Europe slowly falls to their Muslim overlords what becomes of the Canadians? If they could only see the light at the end of the tunnel and move into closer alignment with the US economy they can realize first hand that adage about a rising tide lifting all boats. (OK, this is Canada, so it’s “rising all boots”) The US doesn’t need to carry all of their economy. They only need to follow our lead.
Canada right now is the defiant dumb teenager that is going to have to learn the lesson the hard way..
It all could be so simple and easy, but they won’t listen to word we say…
Because that’s how the globalists want it. Fat, stupid, poor, dumb, and dependent. Like the illegal aliens they want to replace us with.
“Canada right now is the defiant dumb teenager………….”
It’s one thing to live next door to a dumb teenager that lights up a cigarette in their bedroom. It’s something else to burn their house down while lighting that cigarette and jeopardize my house in the process.
Prayers for the Canucks ! 🙏🏽
Good to see Bessent mention real inflation numbers, not the ones the government has finagled with over the years.
A different way of thinking and doing things.
I very much like it.
I do too. He’s trying to get the EU to see his way of thinking but so far they refuse. I pray some of the more intelligent among them will come to power.
Several M.E. countries, and South and Latin American countries are listening, and perhaps Russia too.
Then we have China. It will be interesting to see what comes from the meeting here this month.
Africa seems behind, at least some of those nations must be catching the drift of his thinking.
He’s changing the way humanity addresses the problems of survival. And not necessarily for humanity’s sake but more specifically because that is what will keep us out of wars and foster partnerships that serve everyone instead of one party coming out on top because they think that is the way to survive.
Globalism was never Capitalism. It has always been a disguised form of Monarchy. True capitalism operating inside the US is what will make us great again. Trump understands this. Carney is a monarchist and only understands self-interest – even if he has to rule over the ruins of his deeds.
Carney and the whole of the EU and the UK.
I pray China is paying attention and that they have the guts to rethink some of their perspectives.
Yabut,

Um, so the NATIVE US birth replacement rate will, in all likelihood, continue to spiral downwards………..as is evidenced by general national declining school enrollments.
It’s a global phenomenon of sorts but highlighted in countries like the US, Japan etc.
Couples are having less children and a growing percentage of couples find out that they cannot have children or that it will be difficult without help
Where have all the men gone? I won’t dispute that more women got new jobs than men but 98 percent?
This is the BLS too so some 🧂
JC, here is an interesting article:
https://blog.alor.org/where-have-all-the-men-gone-the-quiet-crisis-of-men-walking-away-from-work-and-society
Interesting. Thanks.
I guess I’m one of them having retired early.
I wonder if automation has affected typical male jobs more than female? Think autoworkers.
Same here…
The President of the conservative denomination I’m in has spoken about this issue prominently. The interest is apparently two-way: He says there are anecdotal reports that we’ve been seeing an unusual number of young men just showing up in our churches unexpectedly.
Thanks be to God.
Yes, so very thankful for that.
Also this link which is referenced at the end of the blog link that I just posted.
https://www.zerohedge.com/personal-finance/where-have-men-gone
Even considering the assertions made in the links I posted, I don’t see how it translates to a whopping 98%! Something is off.
When people used to assert that women make less than men for doing the same job I would counter with the argument that if that was true there isn’t a single business that would ever hire a male employee if they wanted to be competitive.
It seems we both may have been right.
The Promethean Group is the best thing that has happened to me for providing updates and clarity as to what is really happening in the Trump economy.
I like how they clearly explain things.
The more friends we have, the better.
The Canada numbers are more than dismal. 42,000 job losses for them is horrible considering 40 million population.
Extrapolated to 350 million for the US would be well over 360,000
Extrapolating the other way, the US job gains would only amount to about 16,000 in Canada.
But still, not good anyway you look at it.
40 million population, about half that in their workforce. 42,000 jobs lost represents 2% of their workforce gone, in just one month. And the trade war is just starting…
America’s problem is the public education system. Or should I say “grift” because that’s what it is. I saw it when I was in school in “70’s. It’s only gotten worse.
The education system exists to make money for the teacher’s union. Kids are run through public schools and conned to go to college, where the system makes even more money. The sad result is kids who can’t read or do math going to college to get degrees they can’t use in the real world. Plus, the kids are eyeball deep in debt without a job that will help them pay it down. They’ve been lied to and they know it.
But hey, the educators all throughout the system made their money. And that was the goal all along, the kids be damned.
that’s the first of the 5 d’s, Sane
look at the world through the following lens and all machinations of ‘those who cannot be named’ make sense
they’re making us:
1. dumb
2. diseased
3. drugged
4. destitute
and finally
5. de*d
each move they make is carefully crafted to advance the 5 d’s
Remember when the teachers decided that white boys and girls were ADD and ADHD because there was no PE class to blow off steam so sitting 6 hrs per days was impossible. Now look at what happened? Zombie kids to prozac moms who were too weak to stand up to a non medical teacher regarding chemical drugs given to their children. I was appalled at the compliance. All for money. Money to schools. Parents even received checks for kids with issues. Disgusting. Kids sold out. Then the ADD because autism. Now it is all anxiety ridden people. We need a serious reset.
It used to be that when little Timmy had ants in his pants it was a sign that he needed to get outside and burn off that energy.
Now it’s not autism but the autism spectrum. Any kid can be placed somewhere along that spectrum. The list of disorders within that spectrum is long.
Then there is neurodivergence.
Another medical/psych scam being perpetrated on parents.
The school taxes are robbing us all…. and I’m tired of seeing elderly people being taken to the cleaners on Property taxes because of that… At this rate the local Unions and School thugs are stealing our inheritances.
The common excuse is that the kids cannot learn in an old building so the districts want to build extravagant schools at hundreds of millions each. The kids still do not learn.
i hear ya john.iowa reps passed a school voucher program so you could send your kid to a private school if you wish.i get in heated discussions with people(dems) who say the money should stay in the public school. i reply the state has open enrollment so you can send your kid to any district you want and the tax money follows your kid.so why shouldn’t the money follow your kid to a private school.oh man do they go ballistic.then i reply you know.the catholic school i went to is still using the same building built in 1913,yet every public school has been replaced within the last 15 yrs.and you will never see a bond issue on the ballot for a new private school.
You know they are robbing a lot of the money… via contractors, etc…. that’s obvious, but the real kicker is how they tax the citizens to build a new Multi million dollar school that isn’t needed. They Place it in your neighborhood and Bam now your house and all the others are worth a ton more they claim. So your taxes go through the roof. See how that works.
Recently saw in the News In Johnson County Ks….. the news showed as of March 2026 they passed a New ~400 Million dollar School Bond… 5 months later they are trying to close down 6 Schools for low attendance. The math doesn’t jive on this Racketeering Operation via Bond Issuance and this goes on all across the United States every year.
Here’s the trick in our school district with their referendums.
“we need 20 million to do x”.
They then have a contractor lined up to do the work for 15 million.
The “savings” go towards unspecified “other things”.
Years ago I was in a neighborhood group chat and we were discussing the new property taxes they wanted to impose for the schools.
I said that I was retired and had no children in the schools and I didn’t mind helping with the financing of them but I didn’t believe that people who rent shouldn’t vote as it only affected those of us who owned property.
I said renters could move if the rent went up, but that was not the case for those of us who owned our homes.
The reply I got back was ” if you are retired you don’t need a house and should move to an apartment and give your house to someone who deserves it”
Needless to say I left that neighborhood group chat and never went back.
Correction
People who rent shouldn’t vote on property taxes
I saw it in the mid/late 60’s. I was kinda lucky that I got pushed into the skilled trade direction! Thanks dad! Most of my friends went to college, I elected Electronics Technology. My mistake was not following through with a college degree in Electronics. I guess I was guilty of being attracted to the lady folk as a whipper-snapper, LOL. In the end, it all worked out, thankfully. That old adage of too soon old, too late smart would apply!
How does this happen?
Women secured 158,000, or approximately 98%, of the 162,000 net new nonfarm payroll jobs added to the U.S. economy in August 2026
How we frame the problem matters. Do we want an economy based on jobs or ownership?
I recommend small enterprise is superior to a job in a free society. My Grandfathers’s generation didn’t want to work for someone else. They wanted their own thing. We were forced into job seeking. I was a wage slave from my youth.
The only problem, and it’s a big one societally, is 98% of those jobs went to women.
The people running Canada have the same mentality as the people running Ukraine. The general population moves as sheep move for the Border Collie. Many now think that the USA is an enemy of Canada
MAGA FABULOUS!!
“In the August jobs report the U.S. economy added 162,000 jobs, while the Canadian August jobs report reflected 42,000 job losses.”
Thank you President Trump for making America great again!!!
And we know,( thanks to Sundance), ALL that’s involved with getting us here.
scale matters too… canada losing 42000 jobs is akin to the USA losing 420,000 jobs in a month adjusted for population size difference
Hopefully this will translate into more R votes in the upcoming election.
“… the U.S. economy added 162,000 jobs, while the Canadian August jobs report reflected 42,000 job losses.”
So both leaders got what they wanted.
In the old days we trained the folks we needed to do the jobs we needed……. We trained them in the skills they would need while training them in our culture. We invested in them, they invested and worked with us. In the skills we needed, 90 days was about the time we could tell and they could tell if it was a good fit. Do these big corporations do this nowadays?
