From Arabella Advisors and the Sixteen Thirty Fund to the Tides Foundation, Open Society Foundations, CAIR, and the Southern Poverty Law Center, Mike explains how donations can move through interconnected charities and political organizations without revealing the original donors. These networks, he argues, allow billionaire-backed operations to influence elections, protests, political movements, and American culture while retaining their tax-exempt status.
Mike then examines the Trump administration’s response, including Treasury’s Form 990 Transparency Initiative, investigations into nonprofit financial networks, and efforts to hold tax-exempt organizations accountable for where their money goes. Probably the only legit charity is you doing the work yourself. Yes, that shrinks the effective radius quite small, but I’m sure the fake charities rely on the obscureness of things.
The only actual honest charity I know of nationally is Samaritan’s Purse.
Samaritan’s Purse kept “welcome centers” open to aid the invasion of our southern border by illegals. One of their centers near the Darian Gap was photographed providing aid to the many thousands of illegals bum rushing the U.S. border.
I stopped contributing right then and there. Samaritan’s Purse supported illegal immigration. I wrote to them over it and they responded the center was to help Venezuelans. In actuality, they were helping millions of illegals get to the U.S.A.
I used to support them heavily, but they get no more of my donations to charity, now. They actively promoted other charitable locations, but stayed away from disclosing what they were doing in the Darian Gap.
I wouldn’t describe them as an “honest charity”. That is like saying “Ray Epps” is a good citizen.

I have said this for over a decade. It is far too easy for malicious actors to infiltrate the boards of successful corporations, both profit and non- profit. Once in control they raid the coffers by redirecting how the money is spent. Easy Peasy.
It is how they take legitimate charities that start true to spirit and turn them into fundraising self-licking ice cream cones or pass through as outlined here.
Corporate structure IS the problem. There are ways to structure nonprofit charities to shield the liability of good people working hard to help the downtrodden, as well as remove their tax burden. The current corporate structure is NOT the right way to do it.
Repeal the 17th amendment to save the country. That change to the structure of government representation removed one of the important blocks against electoral corruption.
That said, this is an amazingly huge move. It’s also righteous.
I’ve argued that this won’t work, just like it wasn’t working at the time – leading To the 17th. You’ll just have corrupt, unaccountable legislatures and legislators selecting the same corrupt Senators all over again.

What’s really needed are term limits and shorter terms. A 10 or 12 year (depending on a 4,5 or 6 year term) lifetime limit, and a 4 year term would go far to bring the Senate to heel.

Yes, I’ve heard this argument, and I still disagree. Shorter term limits do more than merely increase the turnover rate.
Because, with a 5 or 6 year term, the sins of the early years are loooong forgotten – this emboldens them to abandon their promises in the early years. With a 4 year term and reelection not too far off they will be less apt to dis the voters who put them there. And term limits eliminate the potential to develop corrupt fiefdoms for 20-30 years, and the constant turnover can prevent corrupt political alliances (like the McConnell Cabal) from becoming entrenched.

There is only one resolution. If Bessent is serious they will end all 501(c)s. This scam set up during 1913 the year our country started its journey to communism and fraud needs to end. I believe anything less is in itself a fraud by our government. We do not need to incentivize good works. There is nothing in our Constitution that some people pay taxes while others get rich under 502(c) fraudulent activities and that includes churches that do not preach the truth or the word for fear of losing their tax exempt status.

I’m curious, when was the last time you set up a homeless shelter, set up a sports league for the bind or inner city kids? Have you ever created any org that helps the down and out?
Obviously you don’t donate to these evil orgs. Do you know how hard it is to build something like that? You need a book keeper, insurance, office space, utilities, accountants, office supplies and that’s BEFORE you can spend the the $$$ money needed to actually help people .

Unless we want to become a 3rd world hole, I think charitable orgs need to retain both tax exempt status and liability protections.
If instead you have have the founder create both a governing board and and operating board, where the operating board functions like a regular board and the governing board’s responsibility is to assures the operating board is adhering to the mission statement.
The original founder cannot be removed by the board. Like a regular business. The governing board can only shut down the org if it shows the founder is off the rails. The board cannot co-opt the organization. This prevents board takeovers as is the problem now.
Yes, Prevent the charities from doing anything like funding other charities, owning interests in other charities short selling, lobbying or using the mission to advocate for any one or anything other than the stated mission. Example: A charity who helps women file for domestic restraining orders or get assistance related to abuse, can not fund or advocate for legislation like red flag laws or advocate candidates or advertise about ANYTHING other than their specific services and mission.
If an accusation is put forth that the charity is funding something other than its stated mission and the accusation is verified then the founder must correct, hand off the business to another specific individual or shut down.
We need to continue sharing and posting these sorts of revelations.

If there’s anything we’ve learned since the Trump Administration took office the second time, it’s that there are those accountability actions that non-establishment republicans (MAGA/America First) are permitted to take and those they are not. Where that leverage manifests, be it financial incentives or threat of harm, is another discussion. As such, Executive orders, policy initiatives/directives, some removals/firings are permitted but will naturally be fought against. That’s it, nothing more. What is not permitted is anything that goes beyond hearings and limited evidence gathering/publication. Any outcome or process that attaches a legal consequence to the long list of criminal villains we are so familiar with, is forbidden. No arrests, no pre-dawn raids, no highly public captures at the airport, no perp walks, no indictments, no trials, no convictions, no jail time, no punishment whatsoever. Now if you’re an unconnected handmaiden to the corrupt system, then your disposability is assured (Crooks, Routh, Robinson).
