I was at the eye doctor this afternoon – sitting and reading in the waiting room – while my husband was having an exam. The news came through about this name change and the executive order. Of course, the middle aged “ladies” were declaring that President Trump was a “dork” and that he was only interested in enlarging his own territory etc. etc. I listened to the nonsense for a few minutes until I decided to “draw my sword” and declare loudly “GOOD FOR HIM!”
The stunned looks were a little bit funny. They said – you support President Trump? I said “ABSOLUTELY! He is a good man that is serving his people. Carney and Ford are so corrupt.” I told them to stop listening and believing the propaganda and to search the matter out for themselves; to stop believing the lies. They backed down a bit and then a gentleman, who was also waiting, began to educate them on Carney’s globalist connections and that our plight is serious because we are still connected to Britain. He agreed with me in my assessment. He also said he had been looking for a job for 6 months and could not find one. I felt bad for him – because he was not a young man.
The times we are living in require Godly wisdom. Spread LIGHT wherever you are, and do not let the lies dominate. The scriptures say that “Truthful lips shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is (credited) but for a moment.” Proverbs 12:19 AMPC. Carney and his kind will be exposed – God will not allow this evil to continue much longer. Blessings today.

President Trump has exhibited a masterclass in how to corral and control the press that is as much about his unique personality as anything. And so, while I don’t think future presidents will necessarily command them as he does, there are things they could learn in dealing with our corrupt Fourth Estate from watching videos of him in action.
As far as Canada is concerned, notice there was no name calling. But anyone who knows Donald Trump can tell that he’s done with them – they’ve gotten on his bad side. And considering the relative economic strength of the two countries, this will go down as a terrible miscalculation on Corney’s (he’s earned the name) part.

I have a theory:
This move may be perceived as petty on the surface, but I think it is a calculated and Machiavellian “heat missile” squarely aimed at Prime Minister Carney’s most ardent supporters. You could look at the comments coming out of Premier Douglas Ford (Ontario), who really thinks the way to win a trade war is based on unsubstantiated bluster, misrepresentation (the Reagan quote), and perceived threats, and believe Trump is just getting into a pissing contest. BUT, I think Trump is, basically, setting up Carney.
Carney’s funadamental political platform is “US bad/ Trump bad”, and the non-thinking Liberal Party just jumped right in with their “elbows up” mantra. So, what happens when that political base gets all wound up spitting fire and vitriole in response to any and everything Trump does? And then, he takes it one step beyond and actually renames a Great Lake removing Ontario and replacing it with America? Well, it’s not good news for Carney. Every way you look at it, Canada (Carney) is going to have to capitulate in the negotiations with the US. If he does so while his political base is all wound up, that reflects on him. The simple fact of the matter is that the censorship and tripe spouted by the State controlled Canadian media has not prepared the public for what’s coming. The political base, as a whole is ignorant to their current stature. So, if Carney capitulates, that’s not going to sit will with those who put him in office.
If he tries to do the “elbows up” nonsense and takes a hardline, the six month countdown clock activates remvoving the USMCA burden and opening up a bi-lateral negotiation that won’t go well for Canada. Either way, Carney comes out a loser. The latter will just take a little longer for the political base to realize Carney was not “the chosen one.” His political career is already in its twilight.
Then there is Carney, himself. He’s what is best known as a CV Warrior (a curriculum vitae warrior). His accomplishments are what he can spell out on that piece of paper. He’s the kind of person who will serve up the entire country to catastrophe if it adds another line to his legacy. Carney has Carney’s best interests in mind….not Canada’s.
Or at least, that’s the way I see things right now.
Funny how those I know who always vote for the democrat (even dog catcher) just don’t want to talk facts about Trump’s efforts and achievements. They stay silent as if their tongues were cut out.
But when it comes to feelings, their emotional words flow out of their mouths faster than dysentery and more crude than a sailor’s efforts!
