Those who have followed the Canadian trade squatter strategy from NAFTA through the USMCA likely know former Canadian Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, and her manipulative narcissism. Today the purple sausage reappears from Kiev where she is leading the Ukraine reinvestment and money laundering effort on behalf of Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Freeland calls in from Kiev to remind the Bloomberg audience that Canada’s best next steps will be to conduct targeted narrative operations against the American people in order to retain the Canadian parasite position. Rather than accept reciprocal terms for fair trade, Freeland notes the best strategy is to deliver targeted propaganda directly to American voters against President Trump. This was the approach Freeland, and former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took in 2018.
It is ironic that Freeland says President Trump is trying to create Canada as a vassal state of the U.S. while she is in Ukraine, the ultimate vassal state being used for a proxy war against Russia. WATCH:

Unfortunately, I know a number of people who are easily fooled by such propaganda and genuinely believe that Canadians refusing to take their yearly pilgrimage to Disneyland is devastating the US economy.
My wife and I winter in the Palm Springs/Desert Springs area every year since 2022. In January 2025 we noticed that it was less crowded. We got in and out of Costco easily, no driving around for 15 minutes waiting for someone to leave, no long lines at checkout.
We then went to our favorite restaurant for happy hour, and it wasn’t as crowded as it used to be either. We even got a seat at the bar. I asked the bartender why it wasn’t as crowded, and he said that it was like that everywhere since the Canadians were boycotting the US because we elected Trump. I said, “That must be bad for business.” He said, “Not at all, they just take up seats, and they don’t tip.”
We’re heading out there again next January. I hope they keep “refusing to take their yearly pilgrimage”.
I’m Canadian and agree with you. The globalists of which Carney is a leading member are stalling for time, trying to maximize damage against Trump in the midterms. Freelands Grandfather was a nazi sympathizer in WWII so her roots are defined. She is also a long time friend of George Soros who was himself a nazi sympathizer during WWII so there is nothing left to the imagination regarding what Chrystia Freeland is to Canada. When someone of her ilk openly admits to running a long term psyop against Trump, their desperation is out in the open. Her character was revealed during the Peaceful Trucker Convoy in Canada, with a smirk across her face, she announced the debanking of Canadians, 289 bank accounts were frozen. Canada has gone totalitarian. The level of censorship up here is Orewellian. It is my opinion that should the libranos help stop a Trump midterm majority, censorship and the already ramped up illegal immigration will again increase. ……… exponentially in Canada. Right now the libranos are holding back because they know Trump isn’t kidding when the number 51 is mentioned. I’ve lived in Alberta all of my nearly 70 years, I’m fully aware whats going on and am hoping Alberta becomes 51 first. There is a list of reasons I would like to see that happen in a specific order.

The only thing that she said that I think was absolutely true is that “America wants allies.” We don’t need any more dependents… At the moment, we already have enough illegal immigrants that we are taking care of, whether we like it or not. An ally needs to be able to support themselves independently as well as contribute to a joint alliance. If they cannot sustain themselves independently, then they should at least recognize the need to contribute in such a way that it benefits both countries. The USA owes Canada nothing. Canadians are subjects of the king of England, and Carney is loyal to the crown. He should go there and beg for lunch money and protection. The fact that England has little to nothing to share with Canada is not an American problem. America sent out a lifeboat and Canada chose not to get into it.
