I’m sure she is a very nice person. Mrs Graham likely has all the best intents and inclinations. However, unfortunately I have strong reservations that Republicans can hold that South Carolina senate seat if Darline Graham goes into a general election against a Democrat candidate.
The special election debate between Darline Graham and Ralph Norman was tonight hosted by Newsmax. The full debate is below the fold, but here’s a sample that might be awkward to watch.
Mrs. Darline Graham is currently serving in office as the appointed Republican Senator from South Carolina.

If this woman had ONE OUNCE of shame, she would immediately announce that she was resigning from the race and returning to her previous life/job…but she has had a taste of the power and she will never let it go without a fight, no matter what it costs the citizens of South Carolina!
She is way out of her depth. This nonsense of the widow or family member, in this case, stepping in and being pushed to make a play for the seat, based on sentimentality, is old and tired. The issues facing this country are just too great to entrust them to someone who clearly hasn’t even thought about the issues. I would go so far as to say that I wouldn’t be surprised if she couldn’t find Taiwan on a map.
Trump tries too hard to be kingmaker, and in this instance, it’s silly. Darlene never should have been put forward and the president should have stayed out of it.

I’m biased and don’t think she can win, except I know there are some dems who are eligible to vote in this primary that are planning to vote for her. Hopefully, not enough of them.

I pray President Trump doesn’t campaign with her or for her. Darline Graham is unfit for office.
I wasn’t voting for her anyway but I don’t like Ralph Norman either.
I think the president has burned that bridge as well.
Supposedly he’s going to Myrtle Beach on Friday for a rally. That may end up canceled if he sees this mess.
Norman wasn’t my choice either, but I’m voting for him.
She must have received her coaching from the Admiral Stockdale School of Debate.

If this is true and I assume it is then she is being set up in the worst possible way. I hope she drops out after this event.

I wonder what qualities the President sees in Graham-Nordone? What led to his endorsement?
It might be understandable to place Graham’s sister as a temporary replacement but to endorse her Senate bid makes no sense.

This is a tough decision for SC. He gives non answers as a career politician that he is and
she is not a politician and just gives the answers she can give with so little time to prepare and learn.
I expected more from Norman and I did not expect anything from Graham-Nordone.
Trump will be there to guide Graham-Nordon and Haley will guide Norman
It will come down to, who will do better against the Democrat candidate.
At the very least she (and him, to be honest) needed to know about the security implications of the Taiwan Chip makers falling into the hands of the Chinese.
Those chips are THE MOST IMPORTANT SECURITY ISSUE AT MO.
