Doctors also need to prescribe older and cheaper medications first rather than going right to the latest and most expensive.
Good rural doctors do. For the most part, rural doctors have a good standard of living for the area they live in. It’s nice to be a big fish in a little pond.
My great uncle, lived to 100, was a member of the Tennessee State house probably in the 40s and 50s. They asked him to run for US Congress back then. He declined. He said it was nice to be a big fish in a little pond instead of being a little fish in a big pond (DC).

More positive news – PPI, which is upstream of prices, remained unchanged overall – but with a decrease in goods.
The Producer Price Index for final demand was unchanged in July. Prices for final demand services increased 0.2 percent, and the index for final demand goods decreased 0.7 percent.
