Comrade citizens, following the successful targeting and assassination of an insurance company executive, the newly installed Komisar of New York City has published the names and addresses of affluent New Yorkers for wealth targeting and taxation. However, many of the activist citizens who advocated for Mamdani are not terribly pleased to find their personal information published by the new Democrat Socialist city leadership.
Affluent podcaster Scott Galloway, an advocate for the targeting approach, is flummoxed to discover his name, address and identifying information has been uploaded by the city to the ‘too wealthy’ target list. [First two minutes]
Fear not Comrade Galloway, all good citizens of the New York DSA will happily pay the necessary pied-à-terre tax. It even sounds collectively fabulous. There is no reason to worry about being on a list of 950,000 wealthy citizens who have too much. After all, sharing is caring.
NEW YORK – Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s administration has published a searchable database of Big Apple properties that could fall under the state’s new pied-à-terre tax, effectively doxxing thousands of wealthy New Yorkers.
The city’s Department of Finance uploaded the comprehensive list – which purports to cover all unoccupied, non-primary residences in the five boroughs worth north of $1 million – including the full names and addresses of every property owner.
“It’s a reckless and foolish move, especially considering there are potentially thousands of properties on this list that do not qualify as second homes or whose owners will successfully dispute their inclusion,” Council Minority Leader David Carr (R-Staten Island) — whose own home appears on the list — told The Post Monday.
[…] Mamdani threatened to raise city property taxes by a staggering 9.5% in February unless he was allowed to “tax the rich” to cover a $12 billion budget gap that was later revised down to $5.4 billion.
[…] Citywide, The Post counted over 960,000 residences and individuals listed as potentially in line to be hit with Mamdani’s pied-à-terre tax, even though just about 13,000 homes were supposed to be targeted by the new levy as he and Hochul initially sold it to the public. (read more)
If this dude didn’t know what the phrase “Useful Idiot” meant before, you’d think he know what it means now.
Like a who’s who list…….
for robbers and burglars……..
free intel for thieves……
And kidnappers
That’s why they have these places they cant stay in a newyork hotel and have the security they need
Apparently intellectuals aren’t very smart.
Whoops, was supposed to be a reply to Frankiezee, below. Probably not that funny now.
All that indoctrination didn’t help him think with his head and not his butt. Animal farm would be so proud of Galloway. Now the truck is taking him to the slaughterhouse and it’s a bit uncomfortable for him.
His head is up his butt. Therefore, that IS where he does his thinking. 🙃
“Intellectual” is a bit of a misnomer!
“Apparently intellectuals aren’t very smart.”
Some people are educated beyond their intelligence.
And squatters.
Perhaps its a list for would be squatters. I seem to recall NY favors the squatter over the owner.
I sure as hell do not consider myself super intelligent, maybe not even half ass intelligent, but I have read enough about Communist regimes to know that the first people to go are the useful idiots, then the intellectuals. These people never ever learn.
Those intellectuals don’t have an ounce of common sense.
Dunno if it was a Rush saying, but it would fit.
Intellectual, yet idiot.
I do not understand why you call them intellectuals. The degrees they have purchased do not increase their IQ by osmosis. I seem to remember that the havahd president was fired for plagarism. Are you an intellectual because of your zip code? These people are just parrots for the current cocktail trendy diatribe.
And, I learned during my decades of working with medical doctors in a hospital setting, getting an MD degree is often a matter of being able to memorize and definitely not even remotely close to “intellectual” .
I think he means people who fancy themselves as intellectuals and present themselves that way as opposed to actual intellectuals.
Intellectuals the first to go? Mamdani needn’t worry at all.
If I had to guess, that’s giving the moron far, far too much credit.
When you are one….you don’t have the mental ability to be self aware of the fact 🙂
Ya get who ya vote for! Somewhere down the line they’ll realize the Democratic Socialist of America (DSA) no longer applies to the DNC! This will be coming to a city near you. Isn’t this wealth transfer thingy just grand?
Will his victims engage in lawfare to fight him? The process can be the punishment…he seems to be stepping out of his lane?
As far as health care CEO’s and those in the C-Suites, especially those who engage in nepotism…they more than others, need to be taxed into oblivion.
The savvy ones will recognize this for what it is: an extortion racket. They will pay the indulgence fee to the NYC political machine and be protected from the manufactured public outrage.
Brian Thompson’s assassination was the brick through the window, the example to what happens when you don’t cooperate.
Luigi Mangione fans are now pushing for jury nullification- convincing prospective jurors that corporate executives are so evil, there can be no crime if you shoot them ….. in cold blood, on a public street in front of a surveillance camera.
This is the generation of young people, ruined by the teachers unions that we are entrusting our precious country to. Teachers unions are the enemy from within. Ban them, just dissolve all government employee unions. Period.
There was no justification for that murder…or any, for that matter.
I have seen some corruption within health care…profits over patients…that said…
I agree about the entitled generation and their mentors.
Nepotism does that mean passing your business down to your kids? That’s how these clowns will take it.
Be careful what you wish for.
We desperately need new corporate governace. Start by letting common shares have a vote and see how fast the gem studed golden parachutes disappear. Give money back to those with skin in the game
Taxation? Guberment takes never gives back.
Alex Berenson’s mom got a notice, and she’s lived in her apartment for over 30 years. It’s set up to snare people who aren’t actually subject to the tax. If you get a notice, you have to set up an account online and upload documents proving your case. And you have to do it by a fairly quick deadline. I could see some elderly people, people not familiar with computers and smart phones, and just people out of town for a while missing the deadline and having to pay the tax even though they don’t owe it.
This country is in such decline. Scary.
we find ourselves smack dab in the middle of the 4th turning
Ban all government employee unions and we can turn this around. State kicking the union-backed candidates off your own local schools board.
He released Cynthia Nixon’s house too. Lmaoooo. She is one of his biggest cheerleaders
Sex and the City star just wants her head under that ceremonial gown of his. We live in a country of profoundly unserious people. The price of that foolishness will be paid.
She plays for the Other Team.
I think mandami plays for the other team too. He gives off that vibe.
Unserious people are the 80% in NYC who did not vote. Not the 20% who will always vote for promises of free stuff.
Unserious people are those who live in these utopian cities and finance their own misery. Everyone seems to want someone else’s money.
Well then they deserve whatever they don’t vote for!
Wait until the 3rd world trash start ransacking these properties.
She’s gay. Not allowed in Mamdani land. She’s the. She’s the very definition of a useful idiot
Wow! The rich LGBTQ+ crowd must be surprised!
HL Mencken…
“Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”
Betsy! You are Awesome. And FAST!
Pure dumb luck, Sturmudgeon 😎
That list of “wealthy” homeowners (who decides what is wealth?) seems to include those middle of the road New Yorkers.
I read a post of one such who was shocked to discover he was on it, receiving the notice which gave a website so he could file for an “exemption”. The curious thing was that his house was not a ” second home” but rather his and his family’s principle residence in which they had lived for a couple of decades.
Of course he went immediately to the website, only to find that it was blank.
In typical bureaucratic fashion, it did not exist.
How many more are finding themselves doxxed and in the target sights of those Communists/Socialists/Evildoers and opportunists?
Terrifying.
What a remarkable confluence of images/ideas!
Menchin and the picturs, you are a jewel!
Sometimes it comes together, dear taspok…sometimes…
Oh, that strikes close to home. I remember well when that black career criminal maniac attacked and murdered the young woman on the light rail in Charlotte simply because she was white. The POS should have been locked away rotting in jail but instead was stalking his next victim.
I am sure she is in a better place than Charlotte, WD. But like you, the fury and unspeakable heartache I feel….it’s visceral and nightmarish.
Revolutions have an insatiable appetite for revolutionaries.
This right here folks!! What the commie professors purposely neglect to tell the kiddies that want communism so bad is the first rule of any communist revolution once it is complete is to shoot the revolutionary’s. The upper part he does not want them turning on them. Mamdani should watch his back as well
Absolutely. So many tales of S. American revolutionaries going home, then revolting again when the people they installed proved as bad as the people they overthrew.
Communists won’t let that happen. Anyone capable of overthrowing them must be killed. And by definition, everyone who helped install them is capable of removing them.
Also, they all have slightly different wish lists and will be the first to complain. They practically put themselves on the kill lists.
Talk about the boomerang effect….this is just too ironic. 😏
So a considerable part of the $6.6 billion dollar difference between tax raised and the actual shortfall will, I take it, find its way into the DSA war chest.
These DSA clowns are risking a decades old project that required a slowly, slowly catchee donkey approach, not a race to see who can tear off the carefully constructed mask quickest. Lots of people are waking up very quickly to the reality of socialism, due to its clumsy execution, (pun intended), when they needed to be lulled into a slumber that they’d never wake from.
“from which they’d never wake”………. lol
OK. I’ll play.
https://editorsmanual.com/articles/is-it-ok-to-end-a-sentence-with-a-preposition/
Summary: It is perfectly fine to end a sentence with a preposition. Using prepositions like to, for, in, and from at the end of a sentence is grammatically acceptable and often the more natural choice in both speech and writing.
That is something up with which I will not put.
Well I will never put up with it.
I don’t know how old Sturmudgeon is, but I know how old I am and that I had a ridiculously fantastic grammar book in elementary school. I would torture myself to figure out how to communicate something without ending the sentence in a preposition.
That rule DID exist in the 1950s.
When you know how to diagram a sentence, those prepositions are put in their place.
Did you go to Catholic school?
Didn’t realise my words were judged by how closely they aped the strictures of Latin grammar.
You hae appointed yourself grammar police but consider the words of this site’s owner:
7.) SPELLING AND PUNCTUATION – This is not school and we do not demerit for poor spelling, nor do we allow anyone to call others out for the same. However, if your construct is too poorly written the context is lost and important details can be missed. Read the comment carefully before you send it. Proofread it again. Does it make sense?
DSA = SEIU. Prove me wrong.
DSA are SEIU’s useful idiots, just like Adam Schiff admitted. Just like ACORN and BLM – useful to win and kicked to the curb later.
The SEIU may have intended to kick the DSA to the curb, but it looks like the DSA brought a gun to the fight.
“…………it looks like the DSA brought a gun to the fight.”
Which is why these types always project such strong anti-gun rhetoric.
Guns for me but none for thee.
I would wager a select group of Mamdami’s fellow traveling pals are not on that list, despite meeting the “extra” wealth criteria. Some residents are more equal than others.
A friend of mine relocated as soon as the election was determined.
Madnami fans are already in rent control apartment.
Smart individual, your friend is!
I don’t care who you are, that’s funny right there!
~Larry the Cable Guy
Schadenfreude! Schadenfreude!!!
The Jacobians will start the pirge of the impure soon.
More sugar for Commie Martyrs’ High!
…Firesign Tneatre was way ahead of it’s time.
It may be Jacobin rather than Jacobian. If I recall the Jacobian is the derivative of one vector with respect to another vector. The Jacobins are the modern totalitarian Communist left, hell bent on destroying Western Civilization. I may have spent too much time studying the uses of Jacobians, as I do not understand Jacobins at all.
My spelling auto-correct stands corrected.
Your definitions are correct.
One might also suppose that set of partial differentials (describing multiple social or political changes/vectors or surfaces) might collapse into the proverbial one dimensional dialectic of this or that, the reductionists’ nirvana.
Knowing is difficult indeed, but again, your definitions are correct.
Pretty sure the Jacobins will still cut off some heads.
Thank you
Jacobites supported the restoration of James II and his Stuart heirs to the thrones of England, Scotland, and Ireland.
Jacobins were members of a radical political club during the French Revolution that championed republicanism, universal male suffrage, and the separation of church and state.
Fabians (British circa 1884) are committed to gradual rather than revolutionary means for spreading socialist principles. They seek victory by delay and harassment rather than by a decisive battle, as in the manner of Fabius Maximus. Their policy is to use cautious slow strategies to wear down opposition and avoiding direct confrontation.
Communism are reflections of the Herostratus Instinct…They can’t build it…So they burn it. “Every civilization produces two types in permanent tension. Those who build – who create, who reach, who transmit excellence forward. And those consumed by the fact that others build better than they do. They cannot bear the height. Cannot match it. And eventually decide that if they cannot reach it, nobody should have it.” ~ Krzysztof Szczawinski
Good stuff, thank you.
Nice summary.
I can’t wait until the proletariats in NYC fail to get their promissed free stuff. The brown fecal matter will hit the electric oscillating device.
Or. “The Ship Hits The Sand”.
Pardon me, but I just couldn’t resist:
if there exists any humor in all of this, it’s that he wasn’t even elected
It would be even funnier if it wasn’t true.
Isn’t this one of the states that won’t share voter rolls, out of concerns for privacy for their constituents?
You get what you vote for…..Ok, in fairness it’s “ballots” and not “votes” per se, but the only ones who can fix this are New Yorkers: they’ll either leave or do something.
Ain’t my problem. I left CA over a decade ago despite being born and raised there during the great Reagan years.
Voters were warned time and time again.
Once more…
Life gives you the test first and the lesson after.
Wonder how many on his list VOTED Democrat?
How many on his list don’t know they voted Democrat?
Dude, it’s only going to get worse for you. Much worse.
The Bolsheviks systematically marginalized or slaughter the Mensheviks.
If history is a guide, they will also kill or marginalize the useful idiot members of the press.
How do you like him now? The big apple has a big worm……
Dismount a horse indeed! Mamdani is the one needing dismounting before he mounts all the rich in NYC.
Fraudulently selected just like spamberger.
Sundance ” sharing is caring”
🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for the lol, can’t stand the guy but he may be doing us a favor.
Why does Zohran Mamdani live in Gracie Mansion an 11,000 square foot mansion worth an estimated 100 million dollars? Seem that it should be turned back into a museum that was once managed by the parks department. 🤔
After all; “The best city in the world deserves the best parks, libraries, and schools in the world. That’s only possible when we all pay our fair share,” Mamdani wrote Thursday.
Ummmm…….Because: “Do as I say, not as I do!”
“Wait? What? When you said you were going to tax the rich, I thought you meant all of the upstate Country Club Republicans and friends of Orange Man bad! You can’t include me on this list! I am a “fellow traveler” and Bernie and AOC said we would all be exempt…”
Karma sucks, doesn’t it? Bahahahaha!!
When even Bill Maher gets it, you know you’re losing the plot!
Of course this is bad, but the silver lining is some schadenfreude for the rich socialists who supported him. The sooner the socialists come after the “elites,” the faster the socialists will be out of power.
Welcome to your communist life.
Ah yes, the warm embrace of socialism. If you voted for this communist then you’re getting what you deserve. He wouldn’t get away with this if the people who actually do his dirty work refused to do so. I’m looking at you, law enforcement.
Classic example! People who support this bravo sierra think they’ll be exempt until they find out they’re really part of the club.
They voted for this…now they’re getting it good and hard…it’s only the beginning!
They made their bed, now sleep in it!
Why would anyone/ anyone in the right mind live in ny city??😳🦨
The money and the roosters ass (cocktail) parties!
Watch for an early crash in housing values as the ultra rich swap properties back and forth at discount to try to get valuations lowered they will try to do this fast and Lawyered up with Lawfare lawyers before the city can respond with new restrictions.
The first wave will probably succeed the right suit makes a difference.
Property values will go down over all and taxes will have to be raised for the city to survive.
Before we write them off as idiots not being able to predict the unintended consequences of their action. We need to understand this is purpose driven.
Make the city unlivable and open to every form of social leech, crimimal, drug attic, Illegals and anyone else that needs to stay invisable. Require registration to vote for benefits or just pay them out write. They will never vote they will be voted for. That is why every Democrate city is a hellhole JUNKIES don’t vote, well not by themselves they need someone to do it for them.
As a Realtor for many years in MA.
Everything is driven for a specific reason. No coincidences.
The Savings and Loans going belly up, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in 2008, HUD mandated low income housing quotas. $$$$ for illegals to buy homes with no money down. All since the 90’s. What a mess. A giant freebie, bailout mess and someone somewhere made MILLIONS from bad loans.
But with the DSA crew, they are definitely pushing for a crash because these envy driven, Uneducated College Educated lazy a!@#$%es, want what you have and they are going to TAKE IT!!!!! Even if it took you 40 years to achieve it. They consider us suckers to be robbed of our wealth. They would even kill us for it.
And the only hope we have for now is TRUMP and then……..
Well, maybe we need to kill them back………. just saying!
Removing the concentration of wealth and assets from the hands of private owners, described in Marxist theory as taking back capital produced by workers.
Atlanta didn’t have communists running the show back in the 70s, but we DID have
slumlords that purposely were renting to the most drug dependent hippies in given
prime real estate areas. Areas around midtown, near Piedmont Park were full of
flophouses. The actual homeowners that had been there for decades fled, sold out
on the cheap. The commercial slumlords turned their homes into more flophouses.
The area turned into blocks and blocks and blocks of drugs and blight. With
some strip clubs anchoring as the retail. What changed? Rezoning. The slumlords
ran off the longtimers, made it unlivable for anyone that wasn’t a career drug
abuser. They bought up the spillover properties, and went to the city with a plan
that would “revitalize” the blight that they had purposely created. Tons of
flophouses were tore down, the hippies/ druggies were run off. And, for those
of you that know Atlanta real estate, Colony Square was created.
Reading about New York and what Mamdami is doing sounds like Colony
Square on an epic level.
🎯
Kind of a beautiful thing to watch the useful idiots.
Wait until more lists begin to emerge.
Speech, race, sexual preferences, religion, associations, donations, party affiliations… you know, the lists commies make.
Very simple solution: leave the state, taking your wealth and businesses with you. There are at least 45 other States which do not qualify as mere appendages of New York.
The city and state badly need this group of wealthy people. They just don’t understand this. They want to drive them out: “your wish is granted.”
Another elegant solution is to have this man removed from office for incompetence. He’s neglecting his duties in his quest for personal power. No one in New York other than himself is calling for what he is now doing.
Atlas Shrugged
The big walk away.
Sing it Frank…
Start spreading the news, you’re leaving today, tell ’em, Frank
I want to be a part of it, New York, New York
Your vagabond shoes, they are longing to stray
And step around the heart of it, New York, New York
I wanna wake up in that city that doesn’t sleep
And find your king of the hill, top of the heap
Your small town blues, they are melting away
I’m gonna make a brand-new start of it in old New York
You always make it there, you make it anywhere
It’s up to you, New York, New York
“He’s implying that we’ve done something wrong.”
Play on repeat. Think.
Does this help?
There are lots of wealthy people in NYC. But how much of the cash shortfall is because of giveaways to illegals and corruption at the city and state level. Should any Americans pay for the upkeep of illegals or corruption???
After this communist was elected. Steven Speilberg met with him. Are some wealthy people exempt?????
Maybe Mamdani gets a role in the sequel to “Disclosure Day”?
Was it my imagination or did Scott Galloway’s trusty side-kick seem like she felt no sympathy toward Halloway’s plight?
Despite her few very weak protestations to the contrary, she seemed an almost giddy with the whole thing.
LOL!!! The ‘rich elite’ are the enemy to Mamdani and the DSA. Did Scott Galloway think that the enemy was meant to remain anonymous? The fact that he still supports the pied a terre tax is laughable. These people can’t be more stupid.
This couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy! From each according to their means to each according to their needs, eh? I support the doxing, too! Perhaps the “Democrat” Socialists will be more careful about voting for an out of the closet Communist the next time around. And, a 9.5% tax increase is nowhere near enough. It should be at least a 100% increase!!!
Yes, I’m sorry that some decent folks will get hurt, but the Limousine Liberals need a shot of full frontal Communism, in order to shake them back to reality.
Stephen Miller recently gave a talk about left wing violence. Humiliation is a notable aspect of the left’s playbook. The left thinks nothing of this tactic unless it is done to themselves. The above podcaster most likely would be in favor of, or at least neutral about this targeting list if he had not been included. Using humiliation to increase public pressure is a form of vigilantism and should be recognized for that and the originator, Momdani should be called out on it and voted out. If there is something criminally done, even if the press might be involved, it should be prosecuted. I am the victim of severe criminal doxing, for doing nothing wrong. It was made up in order to justify the doxing, as the doxing is the end game. This type of behavior needs to stop. It is sick, cruel and dangerous.
WITH DEFERENCE TO WORDMAN:
<It was made up in order to justify the doxing, as doxing is the end game>
Like the prior dictator in Haiti, we can now name Mandani “Baby Dox”.
Doesn’t Soros own a residence in NYC?
I don’t think i see his name on the list. Wonder why it was excluded?
Because he is behind all of this nonsense.
Yesterday at a sewing class a woman told me her daughter lives in NYC and she just (say slobberingly) loves mandami. It was almost as shocking as hearing someone say they voted for someone because they like the baby executioners.
I’d be tempted to sew her lips shut! With the sewing machine!
Yep…some species eat their own…
Anyone who supported Mamdani or Hochul is getting what they deserve. They always think it’s ok until it involves them.
Please tell me Jessica Tarlov made the list!
She is exempt as long as she says nice things about Mommydami.
Always with that crap eating grin, maggot always looks dirty.
Scott likes a progressive tax system. At any point in time, he can write a check to treasury. No law is needed. Why does he need a law to force him to pay?
Then he started complaining his company that he founded in NY paid over 51 million in taxes over 15 years or so and was wondering if maybe he was paying too much!!
But he still supports the progresive tax!!
Sharing is caring? Make that MANDATORY GOVERNMENT sharing is caring.
Socialist = Communist without a gun.
Communist = Socialist WITH a gun.
That’s the only difference between them. Nothing “Democrat” about DSA. That’s a lie.
Well hold on to your ankles, you filthy commies. You’re gonna get exactly what you wanted.
Sing it, Frank! “Start spreading your cheeks…!”
Step 1 in the process of transitioning these properties into DSA’s ownership for collective housing of their voter base, and yet the useful idiots “don’t understand why he would bring attention to this list”.
A good reason to have real property held by an entity such as a trust or LLC. But anyone in the real estate business can find this info pretty quickly, so I don’t think it is such a big deal.
This piece was posted/published yesterday. It line’s out consequences for NYC.
