Sen Rand Paul is systematically laying out the case of Fauci’s record of contradictions and duplicity. I previously noted that what was most disturbing about Fauci’s record was his silence as the media and academic groups attacked scientists who raised doubts about the origin theories and COVID measures. They were fired or removed from positions despite being later vindicated. Fauci, who was clearly obsessed with his own fame, said nothing to defend such dissenters…

According to the Constitution Annotated from the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court confirmed in several decisions from 1955 that witnesses in congressional investigations can invoke the protections of the Self-Incrimination Clause: “Although the [Fifth] Amendment’s protection expressly refers to criminal cases[s], the Court has nevertheless found the privilege against self-incrimination to be available to a witness appearing before a congressional committee,” the LOC says. “Once properly invoked, the privilege protects a witness from being compelled to provide Congress with statements that may directly or indirectly furnish evidence which could be used against the witness in a subsequent criminal prosecution or from being punished for their refusal to respond to committee inquiries.”

It will come to be that “Doctor” Fauci trusts too much in an autopen – and with “you can do or have done or will do anything” language in that autopenned document that is Unconstitutional.
(The President can only pardon or commute sentences that have been imposed. He cannot exempt someone from a criminal trial that has not occurred, preventing it from happening by pre-emptively declaring the person to be innocent of “charges unspecified.”)
He thought to engineer a plague. With only one “allowable response” that would personally make him millions. (This aspect has not been properly discussed. He did this, not only for power and glory, but also very much for money.)
I have read the Code section defining “emergency use authorization,” and what happened here is quite clearly contrary to it. Fauci falsely claimed that no other effective treatment existed. He specifically abused the provisions of this law to allow ineffective products that he received patent royalties on to be sold around the world, at the exclusion of non-patented treatments known to be effective. And silenced every physician who dared to say so.
These are high(!) crimes, and by clamoring for the autopen he shows that he knew it.
The Senate has the unique power to uncover and to expose this horror, and to finally bring justice.
Fauci said Paul’s comments were slanderous. This is a lie. Paul’s statements were true and can be proven. Prosecute Fauci for this lie he told under oath today.
If he believed that, he would have sued Paul immediately. He can’t withstand the scrutiny of an actual trial, which is what the pardon avoids for him.
