The change in policy also made it harder to prosecute visa fraud cases involving birth tourism.” (p. 86)
Check the Chinese restaurants. Their workers have their babies and toddlers there with them. Birthed here.
Many (most?) have their babies and take them back home to raise them in China, and never had any intention of staying here, at all.
On page 88, I learned that the “China Daily, the government’s main newspaper, offered a lesson in Amerian constitutional law to their millions of readers”, carefully explaining that their baby could be born in America and automatically be a US citizen. After the birth, mama took the baby back to China.

Doing that may force these taxpayer supported Universites to close. IMO that is a good thing. At least they would have to cut way, way back on administrators and it would help if the Chinese ones have to go home. And then there are the bio-labs that are ‘learning labs’ .

I must be the only person I know who is not enamored of the Trump Accounts for babies.
I understand the purpose behind them, people will behave better if they have something to lose, something at stake, in the same way that renters notoriously do not do upkeep or maintenance at the same level as homeowners.
But I can’t forget that during both the Obama and Biden reigns of terror we suffered an increasing concern about the ever growing big government and its appetite for our monies, to the point that we expected our retirement accounts to be simply taken.
After how the government has NOT protected the original Social Security funds, the very legitimate concerns over a grasping government’s love of our IRAs, I now view these Trump Accounts as a prime target for the next Marxist administration.

There is a simple fix for SS–eliminate the cap on SS withholding, which is currently at ~$170,000. Anyone making that amount can surely afford to continue that deduction.
