With President Trump anticipated to deliver a national address on foreign interference in the U.S. election system on Thursday night, the President’s nominee to fill the role of Director of National Intelligence takes place in the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
The Committee Chairman is Tom Cotton, the SSCI Vice-Chairman is Mark Warner. Warner is against the nomination for DNI and strongly opposing any effort by the Executive Branch to influence the Intelligence Community. Livestream Links Below:

hadn’t heard of him; he was the head of the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) under Trump-45, then, under Trump-47 he was put in as lead attorney at the SDNY (Southern District New York) after Comey’s daughter was removed.
Those are good background experiences.

Warner and his ilk will be against anyone that has not come up through the DC swamp & silo system. Especially an outsider with any sort of investigative experience like SEC and SDNY.

Warner’s hands are not clean. Therefore, anyone who is competent and who can not be kept on a short leash is a clear and present danger to him.
Apparently, he is not proud of his shenanigans and he does not want them to become public knowledge.
If Warner is against him, he’s the perfect guy for the job.
Be sure to very carefully vet the next titular head of national intelligence.
