What you wrote is spot on. I’ve already commented in another post that I am a South Carolinian and you are correct, Mace will never get this seat. Haley was a popular governor, but her comments against Trump in the campaign ends that deal. Graham’s death is a shock to the system because of the immense power he held in foreign policy and the judiciary. In my opinion, he was one of the most powerful senators in the chamber. This is a tremendous blow to the United States. In our state, we elect senators, practically for life so we gotta get this right! Graham had plenty of critics for sure, but think of the vacuum this leaves the Republican Party in now. Huge.
