As dawn rises the next chapter begins….
Happy Birthday America!
Some will say she is not perfect; they are wrong. It is within our imperfections that she remains uniquely perfect.
Heavenly Father, breathe Your spirit into our land. We beg You to fertilize every seed of right, moral and appropriate pride to stand together in brotherhood, even when we are not united. Let Your light shine through the imperfect cracks of our assembly, creating a bonding love that guides our deeds and decisions.
Lord that grants us the abundance of an expanding universe, let today trigger a revival in our hearts. We ask that You breath your purpose upon the ember of our national soul and ignite within us a thankfulness and appreciation for the blessings that You provide. May the ignition once again focus our stewardship and passion to live according to Your word, on this land which You have provided.
Father, direct Your favor to our thoughts of humility and purpose, so that we may stand bold, steadfast, diligent, honest and true in Your pure light and intent. Expand our heart to see Your gift, grasp its value and embrace this moment of reflection and renewal.
We ask Your blessings to remain as a shield for our nation; covered with Your wings of protection and purpose. We ask You to receive our prayer today and place Your spirit of peace and stability upon our celebration. We cherish the opportunity to rejoice today in the abundance You have provided. Guide us to remain faithful and deserving of Your grace. ~Amen

Happy 250th Birthday America! My lovely wife and I are in the theatre about to watch Young Washington. Lord, please protect and bless our beloved United States of America. Amen.
Just got home from going to the 9:45am showing of ‘Young Washington.’
Have always loved President Washington. He was an honorable and godly man, one who told those around him he did not want to be the King of America.
He was also a man who had drive and knew he had more value than that given to him as a “commoner” in a country filled with aristocrats. Much like our dear President, Donald Trump.
Men born to dream, who know they have the strength, will, common sense and a wealth of knowledge to lead, do not always come from aristocracy. They rarely do.
But they always come first and foremost from the Hand of the Lord, God Almighty.
Such was President Washington, and such is President Trump.
God, please continue to bless this nation that You formed, for it is in Your Name, Jesus our Messiah, that we beseech You on her behalf.

Since I haven’t done so yet, apologies if anyone has already point out that the U.S. Constitution (effective in 1789) is the oldest written national constitution still in use by a major power! GO USA AND GO TRUMP!

One side a Scotch Presbyterian who came to the New York area even before the Founding, later members were Founders and signers of both Declaration, Revolutionary War participants and signer of US Constitution. Other side from the wave of 19th century Northern European Lutheran immigrants from Denmark and Germany to Minnesota – about as American as we can be. Good stock, good values.

Let revival and glory of the Lord rush like a mighty river across America and indeed the nations. We declare that multitudes will see Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life. They will give their hearts to Jesus and be swept into the kingdom of God. Even those who don’t understand will find themselves swept in by the spirit of grace.
And we decree a great harvest of souls. Reveal Jesus as Lord. Reveal him in his splendor to every country that doesn’t know him. Let America and the nations bring You praise and honor and glory in the earth. We decree a supernatural revival that cannot be legislated or controlled by the governments of men. Revival that has a life of its own. No human on earth or demon in hell can stop it. Release this supernatural outpouring of your glory.
Let God arise and his enemies be scattered. He is not willing that any should perish. The Lord has heard the heart cry of his people. And in Jesus’ name, we lend our mouths and our faith to bless America and not curse this great land. And in the power of agreement, we all pray this prayer:
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done in the United States of America as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” …….

Raining today in KCMO. Good reminder of Caesar Rodney who rode 18 hrs from Delaware to PA to cast his Y vote for Independence. Caesar had asthma and face cancer. Patriot.

IS THIS TOO GAUDY FOR YOU?
They used to call the American flag Old Glory and for me she still is.
For most of my 78 years on planet Earth, I wake up each morning and feel blessed to be a citizen of the greatest country in human history.
That’s what America is and if you don’t know that you haven’t read your history.
I’ve come to understand that anti-Americanism is bred by ignorance of history. The slave trade across Saharan Africa, the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean was founded by Islamic slavers hundreds of years before Christian Europe engaged in it. The prophet Muhammad was a slave-owner and a slave-trader. Did you know that? Even today, the Arabic word for all people of the Negroid race is “Abeed”, meaning slave.
And slavery is still wide-spread throughout much of Africa and the Islamic world. But not in America. The United States fought a great Civil War to abolish it. In his will, Washington freed his slaves and Jefferson penned the revolutionary document that proclaimed our freedoms as a God-given right. Both these men were born into slave-owning families and knew no other life, yet they both took steps to abolish it. Had you been in their shoes what would you have done? They were great men to whom we owe our way of life.
But many don’t see it that way. I see it on FB. I read the comments of erstwhile friends and family members who openly disdain America but not one of them thanked me for my service. And that’s okay because in the fifty-one years since my discharge from the army, I have never gone a day without a silent prayer of thanks for those who sacrificed their lives for my freedoms and even the freedoms of those too dull-witted to understand the gift they’ve been given!
To what end was their sacrifice when our borders were opened to drug lords and thugs and our cities became sanctuaries for illegal aliens and the crime and fraud that came as a result? These things were rampant in the last administration, and had President Trump not righted the great wrongs being perpetrated on the American people, the great American experiment might have come to an end.
And that can still happen!
So I have a word of caution for those waving protest signs on the bridge of the USS America, blissfully unaware of icebergs looming in the dark. The ocean is cold, full of sharks and there aren’t enough lifeboats.
Who will give up their seat for you?
