I think Sundance is a boomer with the George Burns metaphor. Us Boomers have been blamed for a lot of the ills of the country. I and the rest of my family took care of our parents. No way would we have left them in the care of foreign criminals. Luckily, there are enough of us to have been a constant presence no matter where the parents were physically.

It seems to me that what all these of these people fighting the deportations want is legalized slavery. Almost everyone of them tell us that these people are doing the jobs that no American wants or will to do. Businesses intentionally offer extremely low wages to the Americans and then turn around and pay the immigrants even less. Businesses don’t have to adhere to safety conditions or any of the other laws that pertain to employees rights/benefits… after all who are these people going to complain to? If one of them gets hurt, they just go to the hospital and get better care than Americans, paid for by the Americans. I wonder if Tapper cares that the majority of the people that are taking care of his mother can’t speak enough English that they would be able to call him and tell him that something was wrong with his mother? After all if his mother dies, they will just be put into a room with some other old person that they can’t talk to or ask if there is something wrong. A totally uneducated American could do the exact same job and would at least speak the same language and could have a conversation with his mother if she wanted to have one.

Christians are encouraged to be loving and generous, but also “shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves” (Matthew 10:16). Setting firm boundaries to protect yourself from exploitation is seen as wise.
