After meeting with Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche, the outgoing senator from Texas, one of Mitch McConnell’s key DeceptiCONS, publicly states he is blackmailing the President of the United States and demanding the DOJ present information to him about the tax filings of the Trump family.
One of the more challenging facets to awakening the general public on the scale of corruption within Washington DC is the need for people to drop party designations.
This is never truer than within the U.S. Senate where the mistaken “us -vs- them” perspective remains a pesky hurdle.
The blue team and red team are mirror images of themselves. They are not opposites, they are mirrored – a big difference.
The policy objective is the same, the business model within DC (K Street) benefits the upper chamber the most.
Now remember…. Democrats want power. Republicans want money. Democrats use money to get power, while Republicans use power to get money. The ideology of Democrats is funded by donors; while the priorities of donors determine the ideology of Republicans.
This is why Republicans shift positions so easily, and this is the essential difference between both wings of the same bird.
You often hear people wonder why the GOP doesn’t push-back against the Democrats. The reason is simple, the GOP are the right wing of the UniParty bird, the Democrats are the left wing. They are mirror images of each other.
Both clubs are attached to the body of big corrupt corporatist government.
Watch the trade front. Watch international trade, economics, banking and multinational corporation influence. That’s the ‘trillions are at stake,’ and that’s where the opposition to everything MAGA comes from.
The system of affluence and influence has been created to self-sustain regardless of party affiliation. The Senate is one club with one ideological perspective. Within that club rule #1 dominates: none of the members will ever expose another member. So, when there is corrupt activity within the Senate no-one from within the institution will expose another. This is the code of Omerta within the upper chamber. This is the way of the “my good friend” Senate, and how it operates.
Former Senate Leader Mitch McConnell had a leadership group to carry out the institutional objectives of the upper chamber as a body, they included: Senator John Thune (whip); Senator John Barrasso (conference chair); Roy Blunt (committee chair); Todd Young (NRSC chair); Jodi Ernst (conference vice-chair); and Chuck Grassley (president pro tempore). None of these senators made a move publicly without approval from Leader McConnell.
In August of 2020, before the presidential election, then Senate Whip John Thune rebuked the mail-in ballot concerns expressed by President Trump. Thune took this position because ultimately the objectives of the upper chamber were more favorably aligned if President Trump was removed.

I always thought that “Secure Work Environment” (SWE) was liberal doublespeak for attempting to hide the fact the thing was a SCIF all along. I don’t know why the reason to hide Sussman’s SCIF as somehow something short of a SCIF when one can only discuss Sensitive Compartmented Information within the confines of a SCIF. Sussman was the former DOJ head of cybersecurity, touted as an expert in the field. Leaving DOJ to work at Perkins Coie, law firm for the DNC, would enable Sussman to communicate with DOJ and FBI personnel to reach out to Sussman in the event of a breach in government networks by a hostile foreign government. A SWE has to be a SCIF because:
All Sensitive Compartmented Information can only be read/discussed/or electronically communicated within the confines of a SCIF.
SCI can be read/discussed/electronically communicated within the confines of an FBI SWE.
Therefore, an FBI SWE is a SCIF under another name.

I am confused. I thought PDT settled with the IRS and as part of that they wont be audited ever again. Why is Cornyn doing this and does he have a right to access those returns?

They keep saying a sitting President sued the government. That is a lie. Citizen Trump sued the government. The concern is the DOJ that negotiated the settlement is under President Trump’s administration and control.
I don’t know all the angles but there is a law on the cost of each unauthorized nondisclosure and the number of Disclosures x the number of times disclosed = $10 billion. This Carl Higbie segment explains it and the Democratic lies.

JMO, but the Donors are the reason for the big NO against the Save Act….Selection by fraud is their control over the Senators as well as using fraud to select our Representatives for us.
Our Vote is the one last super power the citizens have when it comes to a say in government. The Big Corporations have stolen that power, coupled with the ruling on Citizens United, gives their big money even more control. This is why our government has been so unresponsive to the citizens needs for decades.
We have lost the power to pick or fire our representatives. Donors do not have to have all of the Reps. under their thumb but must have the leadership. Notice how rules in the House have changed. Individual representatives have basically given away their independence to the Speaker. He decides which bills are even considered.
Senator Thune as leader has power to make or break. Thune could have threatened in various ways those Senators who weren’t ‘onboard with the save Act but refused to use that power. Nor did he dare put those republican Senators who were a no in the spotlight. As a side benefit, Thune got to declare he was a yes even though that was a lie.
Election 2024 was a prime example of donor strategy, where they focused their fraud on the House and Senate candidates. The steal of the Presidents Office had become too risky so control of the House and Senate would grant donors tremendous power.
So there we have it….the state of “our” government. The limited choices for these corrupt politicians is delicious…..have Pulte snooping around to dig up their crimes or give us the Save Act that restores the power of our vote along with their beloved 702’s. Decisions Decisions. Lets hope PT sticks to his guns this time.

So Cornyn wants someone who has been nominated for the top law enforcement position in the US to break the law by giving him the Trump family tax returns and if he doesn’t then Cornyn won’t approve his nomination as the top law enforcement officer. Did I get that right?
