Karmelo Anthony, who is black, was arrested in 2025 after he stabbed and killed Austin Metcalf, who is white, at a track meet at Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco, Texas. Karmelo has been charged with first-degree murder: the unlawful killing of another, with malice aforethought and specific intent.
In the past several days 600 people were reviewed to generate a potential pool of 250 jurors. The 250 were further whittled down to 12 with six alternates. The jury selection is over and the opening statements in the trial will likely begin tomorrow. The jury will not be sequestered during trial.
The killing is not being disputed by the defense, there were dozens of witnesses to the murder. However, the defense is claiming ‘stand your ground’ and ‘self-defense’ as justification for the killing. The defense is also promoting a motive of racism for everything surrounding the event between Metcalf and Anthony and throughout the pre-trial motions and public positioning.
Race has become the focal point of the issue because the defense is promoting race as the cause. Interestingly, last week Jack Cashill noted the Karmelo Anthony trial was likely to become the summer 2026 racial motivation for the midterms -similar to George Floyd- assuming Karmelo is found guilty. {See Cashill Prediction Here}
Karmelo is transparently guilty and Cashill rightly notes there is a long history of Communists and Marxists using the transparently guilty as martyrs for their racism narratives. The Austin Metcalf murder and Karmelo Anthony trial is perfect fuel for the “Black Lives Matter” remnants to reassemble.
The potential jurors were questioned about their biases and perspectives. Several of the black jurors said they could not convict a young black man for killing a while young man. This is the part of the cultural narrative the defense teams are publicly counting on.
TEXAS – Potential jurors in the Karmelo Anthony trial said they couldn’t imagine giving him life in prison or “putting a brother in jail” — despite the heinous murder he is charged with.
Prosecutors in Collin County, Texas, grilled candidates Monday on whether they would use Anthony’s age, race, or likeness to their own children when deciding whether he killed fellow teen Austin Metcalf in cold blood.
Attorneys for the 18-year-old defendant will try to convince the jury he feared for his life when he pulled a knife and stabbed Metcalf in the heart at a track meet in April 2025.
“He looks like a child,” several said in questioning relayed by WFAA, when asked if they could consider a life sentence for the teen, who has been charged with first-degree murder.
“I don’t think I can make a decision about somebody so young. One mistake, one argument, one conflict, you can’t say he’s a bad person,” one potential juror told Assistant District Attorney Dewey Mitchell. (read more)
Defense attorneys late in the day accused prosecutors of striking three Black jurors — the only three Black candidates left in the jury pool — without proper cause. Prosecutors are required to provide a “race neutral” reason for striking the jurors, and they said it was because all three were educators. District Judge John Roach Jr. sided with prosecutors. {citation}
The theme and playbook have not changed in the past few decades. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) operations have expanded the business models of the cultural Marxists.
Within current society, black criminal behavior, accountable prosecutions and justice for the black criminal conduct have become part of a very lucrative black grievance industry. Race hustling lawyers no longer hide their motives and intentions; they are now quite open about it and dare anyone to challenge them as they weaponize a shield of racism.
GoFundMe accounts now raise hundreds-of-thousands for the black suspects, and their families benefit with luxury car purchases and new homes. Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton did it using Trayvon Martin “job well done,” so too is the family of Karmelo Anthony.

In the circumstances of this trial, I assume striking (the only 3 black candidate) jurors for being educators must be sufficiently defensible for the district judge to have agreed with prosecutors and to not be concerned about it as an appeals issue supporting the expected “racism” angle.
because of the circumstances of this happening around a school event there is clearly a connection that could be made bias wise for them being educators themselves… likelihood of them being in a school with students that resemble karmelo would lead to bias on their part
Anything less than acquittal will be the catalyst for another summer of rioting, looting, and murder because of racism.
It’s sick out there and getting sicker.
H/t to the late great Bob Grant.
To see what the Marxists are working toward here, merely observe the UK. A member of the ‘oppressed’ class stabbed an ‘oppressor’ last week, and the police arrested the latter and mocked him while he bled out.
It’s been this way in the US for decades.

“Defense attorneys late in the day accused prosecutors of striking three Black jurors — the only three Black candidates left in the jury pool — without proper cause.”
Does this mean an all-white jury? I hope so; that is the only means of justice for Austin Metcalf.
It saddens me, but the tribalism in the black community is stunning. After observing the O.J. trial and verdict, I knew they are incapable as a rule of administering justice to one of their “tribe,” when the crime is against someone who isn’t in their group.
Its really sad when people think because he looks like me he must think like me.
What we call white people are the only group that doesn’t practice tribalism based upon skin color. That’s how they are replacing whites everywhere through mass migration and open discrimination.
pretty much. one would argue a fatal flaw in white people (specifically and mostly white women) logic is assuming other races are just like them. all other races and groups practice tribalism.
Well the “black community” had a great role model in looking at all members of the “government community”. Politicians and bureaucrats are a tribe as well and will not bring justice or accountability against one of their own.
I was called for jury duty in Austin TX. The defendant was a black man in his 30s. The OJ Trial was going on.(1995)
The judge informed us at the outset:
Jury selection then went on. The defense attorney started by asking questions of all potential jurors en masse:
First, will everyone here who has graduated from high school raise your hands? I raised my hand.
Second had three parts: He said “I am going to mention 3 radio programs and ask you to raise your hands if you listen to it often.” #1 The Daily Farm Report. #2 The Rush Limbaugh Program #3 All Things Considered NPR.
I raised my hand to only #2 and I believe all of us who answered affirmatively to # 2 were dismissed one-by-one thereafter. I’m guessing a yes answer to #3 was the right answer. Thanks, El Rushbo! BTW all judges in Austin today would be perfectly comfy in California courts.
When on a jury, and they ask you what programs/podcasts you listen to, or magazines you subscribe to, one can decline to answer. It’s none of their business. All they need to know is if you’re competent to understand the facts of the trial and apply the law.
Why is an all-white jury good? What if it is composed of women?
I wonder what his nickname would be down in Huntsville?
Excellent analysis. Incredibly sad and disgusting situation. It is not supposed to be like this.
With respect, the Bible says it is going to be exactly like this and worse.
But we have faith in One who has all power,
Who will restore all things.
“Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars – they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

For some reason, “black criminal behavior” is excused inexplicably, without apology. We allow it, maddeningly. WE are the problem. There is a solution.
Didn’t this piece of dung admit he stabbed Austin Metcalf?
Yes, but still….
He felt disrespected. It’s a black thang
he decided to be “unburdened by what has been…”
Yeah, but at this point what difference does it make?
They are trying for “Self Defense” in the sense that Metcalf may had said some mean things to him and Karmelo had to stab him in because words are hurtful.
See what happened in the UK with Henry Nowak. His murderer told the police that Henry called him a racist word so he had to stab him in the heart in self defense.
We can see where this is headed. White people and Christians can be slandered and insulted all day long but if anyone in those groups says something mean about non-whites and non-Christians then that is perfectly fine and needs to be said.
So the potential jurors said that they could not imagine putting him in jail, and deciding about someone so young would be so hard. I wonder if they have any problem putting down a young dog that was rabid, or would they continue to allow it to spread its disease? The killer is rabid and needs/deserves to be “put down”.
Those jurors did not make the final selection.
honestly , i appreciate that they were at least honest about that. They admitted they couldnt be impartial so thats at least admirable and they didnt lie about that just to get on the jury and taint the outcome
If there’s one black juror, he will walk.
There’s no way a black person will convict a black teen for killing a white teen.
There are many cities in the US where it’s effectively not a crime to kill a white person if the perpetrator is black. Prosecutors don’t or undercharge them, judges set them free without bail, black jurors (and woke or scared white jurors) won’t convict them, and should they get convicted by some fluke judges sentence them to a slap on the wrist or no prison time.
It’s the truth and has been so for decades, but no one talks about it and if you notice you’re and evil racist. Remember Metcalf’s dad out worried more about racism against the murderer than his dead son – I do. He didn’t want to be perceived as racist.
I am sick to death of it. Look at that beautiful boy who was taken from twin brother and never had a chance at an adult life. That scumbag that killed him should be facing the death penalty.
No blacks, two Asians, one Hispanic and one woman in a hijab. That’s the diversity.
I agree. He only killed Austin because he was white. He truly believes he will get away with murder because he is black.
I don’t think I can make a decision about somebody so young. One mistake, one argument, one conflict, you can’t say he’s a bad person,” one potential juror told Assistant District Attorney Dewey Mitchell.
Killing someone is not a mistake, the instinct should have been to walk away, why did he have the knife, maybe he is the racist, we don’t know, but it’s easy to say the White Boy is the racist because he is dead.
What happened to the three strikes of potential jurors with no explanation?
Attorneys can strike jurors “for cause, ” there is a reason that the jurors can’t be objective. The three struck were because they were “educators” (public school teachers). It is likely that they might have assumed, “Well, boys will be boys, and high school rivalry can be intense. Sometimes things get out of hand. A tragedy all around” and acquit.
In addition to “for cause” strikes, each side gets a certain number of challenges they can use to strike a juror. These are called peremptory challenges, and the attorney need not give a reason why.
First degree will not be attainable. Is that the plan?
The plan is to win all by crafting a defense around a core of intimidation.
Interesting picture of the “tent” in question. It was an awning over a section of bleacher seats – open on all sides. The school logo was on the top. It was there to protect the school’s students from the rain.
Anthony’s school did not have such an awning, so he went into the other school’s awning to get out of the rain, apparently without asking if he could come in. Expect a “white kids threw black kid out in the rain and that’s what started it..” Racissssst.
I am white. I went to an all-white high school. I saw first hand absolute sociopathic behavior. Kids get their heads shoved into toilets, shoved down concrete stairs, bikes stolen openly, and off school grounds, kids getting beaten by groups of older kids. These weren’t gangs, or about drugs, or anything else. Simply for pleasure, or because of some assumed verbal offense.
If I had been on a jury later on as an adult with these type of white, upper middle class a-holes for murder, I not only would have served on a jury, I’d offer to pull the freaking switch.
This is about a black kid murdering a white kid. So what’s your point?
Did you ever witness an armed student on school grounds initiate a confrontation with the intent to murder one of those “white, upper middle class all-hole”s and use his race as a defense?
“The defense is claiming ‘stand your ground’ and ‘self-defense’ as justification for the killing.” Was Austin Metcalf threatening or attacking Karmelo Anthony with a weapon? Nope. Was Austin Metcalf beating Karmelo Anthony to the point that he had a reasonable fear of being in danger of severe bodily harm or death. Not that I’m aware of. If both of those points are confirmed by the “dozens of witnesses” that were present, then the defense team really has no rational defense for Karmelo Anthony’s conduct of stabbing Austin Metcalf in their confrontation. Deadly force is not morally or legally justified apart from a reasonable fear of severe bodily harm or death…or at least it shouldn’t be!
Anthony is apparently not planning to take the stand. So the only witnesses to the killing will be the other team players in the tent (actually, just an open awning over a section of the bleachers).
It’s possible to create reasonable doubt just through cross-examination of prosecution witnesses. Austin’s coach just testified, and broke down in tears on the stand. The players’ testimony, including Austin’s twin brother, could be devastating. These are still high school kids, and too aggressive of a cross-examination by the defense could backfire.
The all-white jury improves the chances for a colorblind guilty verdict, and also helps the BLM grifters fire up the
looters riotersprotestors. Two Asians, one Hispanic, and a woman in a hijab.
they will discover the culture isnt at all the same as 2020.
“Several of the black jurors said they could not convict a young black man for killing a while young man.” They have the same problem in South Africa and Rhodesia… err… Zimbabhyperinflationwe or whatever it’s called these days.
It’s still called racism. Racism is a double edged sword and a two way street.
Those were prospective jurors, who were not chosen for the final twelve.
I can’t say whether the BLM rioters will make a return to the US, but if they do, I most definitely know who organized, planned, funded and choreographed their appearance!
It is possible that the jurors who answered they way they did, did not want to serve on this jury. Imagine what the “community” would do to a black juror who found the defendant guilty.
Fair point.
I would be concerned what the “community” will do to the white jurors who find the defendant guilty.
Race Bating Premier Attorney Ben Crump was involved at the very beginning of this trial. He is the one working behind the scenes to get the “organic” Black Community protests set in motion … in the face of the Judge’s Gag Order.
Even the local TV News is carrying all the protests … with NO Push back on the Protestors.
Only the front page, massive lucrative slam dunk pay day story, story of the black women beaten by a rookie cop in NC is keeping Crump from the Anthony effort 24/7.
By time its done, don’t be surprised if there is not a massive pay day for Karmello Anthony to make this go away .. this is Ben Crump’s specialty.
The Fatigue is real and more and more infuriating…
I hate when I get emotionally involved in a court case, the nanny ,oj ,Kyle Rittenhouse … I first fell in at the tree house during Zimmerman way back then , this has a bad feel to it , like J6 , Peters…
I have to pray about it , Faustina the polish nun…
