Secretary of State Marco Rubio delivers testimony to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. The U.S. Senate as a whole and members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee specifically, have lost millions of dollars wealth for themselves and their families as a result of Rubio eliminating USAID. As a consequence, while they cannot publicly showcase that specific motive for opposition, the committee as a whole is not happy about losing a substantial portion of their stakeholder interests.
The families of all the senate committee members exist inside the think tanks, NGOs, political orgs, PACs and lobbyist companies for various foreign governments. Just like Q-Anon advocate ¹Mike Flynn recently taking a job that pays him $100,000/month to lobby for the Republic of Srpska (aka ‘Serb Republic’, for advice, counsel and introductions), so too all the family members of the senate leverage their DC connections to foreign governments for personal gain.
Thus, Secretary of State Marco Rubio is now being questioned by the very Senators he has defunded. WATCH (prompted):

Repeal the 17th amendment. If State legislatures voted in the senators as intended they would not be able to act without accountability to their constituents or maintain their longevity. It would no longer be name recognition and corporate cash that gets Senators elected but pleasing the State representatives. It would be a whole different game.

Wasn’t Flynn one of the people caught up in the lawfare wringer for a long time? Makes me wonder whether his current lobbying work might be the result of trying to recover from what had to be a huge financial hit. Wouldn’t be the first time someone who was financially stressed tilted to the shady side, especially if his family took collateral damage. Not excusing, but I remember seeing him all over the news cycle and feeling sympathy at the time for the massive sh*tstorm he was in and wondering how you recover from that.

He was consulting for a business man close to the Turkish President.
He had properly filed for representing the foreign business, but not for representing a foreign government.
And he was representing a foreign government.
And he hid that representation from Trump as they were setting up the government. Be honest! Act completely above board.
What he did was common. But it left him open to abuse. And that is how they forced him to plea guilty to something that he didn’t do!
There are also sundry levels of being a foreign agent. FARA was written for a narrow range of those levels. Lobbyist who represented foreign governments to American government. But what about somebody who advises a foreign government on how to do something that has nothing to do with America? Or what about a consultant that advises which lobbyists to hire?
The evil persecutors expanded the definitions so that they could go after people who were abiding by the rules as their lawyers instructed them. But Flynn was already pushing the limits, operating in the gray zone.
And they used that to bankrupt him and then to go after his son.
He deserves the award he was given for having been abused.
But that does not mean that he would be a good choice in the future.
The threats to his son were what caused Flynn to plead guilty. Worked as planned by dem slime.

Other than his eagerness to earn money in foreign lobbying, Flynn has been patriotic. He has shown correct judgement about the big issues facing America and was willing to speak out about the stolen election, the corrupt IC, and to offer ideas for how to get more people involved in restoring America to greatness.
As the saying goes, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” An Flynn was definitely an “enemy of my enemy.” His malicious prosecution was well-documented here at CTH and on Dec 3, 2020, Sundance described him as a “great patriot.”
