Following a massive victory in the Texas republican primary race, defeating incumbent Senator John Cornyn, Texas AG Ken Paxton speaks to an enthusiastic audience of supporters in his home state.
In the other half of the video, beginning at 10:39, defeated Texas Senator John Cornyn delivers his concession speech. WATCH:
.

I voted for Paxton yesterday, and I am thrilled he won so hugely.
I have been a vegetarian for nearly 50 years (since long before I became a Republican). For over a decade, my handle here on CTH has been “VegGOP”. Vegans are a subset of vegetarians who, in addition to not eating animal flesh, also avoid dairy products. I’m not a vegan because I do eat dairy. I have many Republican friends who are vegetarians, and some of them are vegans.
What is the point Paxton of insulting vegans who voted for him? And what is the point of insulting people who eat tofu and voted for him? I eat a lot of tofu!
You live in Texas. Home of beef. You are in a very small minority, so you are just going to have to cowboy up. Also, apparently vegans are mostly Demoncrats:
https://www.dailymint.co/blog/map-of-vegetarian-friendly-us-states-election/
🎯
Veganism & vegetarianism are diseases of affluence.
Many animals, insects, small mammals, and soil-dwelling critters, die as a result of plant food production than the plant-eaters would ever admit.
Hello VegGOP — I am also vegetarian – almost – as I eat fish which my body requires to prevent severe anemia. We travel in different circles. Regrettably, I have had more contact with the public – and therefore subjected to more contact with a particularly aggressive and obnoxious type of snobbery from the Look-At-Me-I-Am-Vegan crowd, They are everywhere in the schools and big cities, and hideously annoying.
I am glad you voted for Paxton yesterday, sorry about his careless lumping of all vegetarians in with the radical crowd, and hope it is not a big stumbling block. I can understand his supporters having tangled with the more obnoxious ones, even as I quietly work in my corner of the world to promote a healthy life, and work very hard to run my animal sanctuary and save as many as possible. The quiet truth is that private property and individuals do more to save animals than any of their communist schemes (See Zimbabwe and South African Farmers) – but our voices sound ever so quietly.
I can personally attest to your view of a “particularly aggressive and obnoxious type of snobbery from the Look-At-Me-I-Am-Vegan crowd”. I actually tried veganism a couple years ago and after a few months (and mild anemia development), I gave it up since I felt far worse. It’s not like I went into it blindly as a once clinical dietitian.
Oh, get a grip. It’s called a joke. My husband is a vegetarian as part of his cancer protocol. He wasn’t offended in the least. Having a really good sense of humor is such a blessing. It keeps one from getting offended by everything. Laughter is the best medicine.
Hmmm…Vegans I have met, and witnessed have more often than not been disingenuous in their eating regime.
Personally I am a fairly good follower of a healthy diet.
However eggs are a main stay, certain oil fishes too.
This morning, a little cottage cheese, yoghurt sprinkled with poppy seeds, Chia seeds, flax and bran were the mainstay of breakfast.
Followed by a small bowl of cashews, pumpkin seeds, dried apricots, dates and prunes 😎
Tonight Wednesday night is Pizza night, followed by soft ice cream.
Paxton is a stalwart a patriotic American and loyal to your great President.
Anything else is utterly irrelevant.
💪😎
His point wasn’t against vegetarians, it was aimed toward the pseudo existential threat that meat eaters have to the climate including cow farts and those who would have us replace meat with bugs.
I have been here for over a decade, and I’ve never seen a single post from you until now. Maybe you should just go eat your tofu.
Don’t take it personal! Trump says crazy stuff also! Stick to the issues u want resolved! N the n vote Red!
God Bless Texas!!! They got rid of Chip Roy too!!! Amen. Thank-you
Great news!
You’re Welcome MAGA Nation!
Also, don’t forget that as an appetizer we took care of Crenshaw.
A twofer!!
Thanks MOB, I forgot about Crenshaw, a particularly obnoxious RINO because when he appeared on the scene, he seemed like he had a future in the GOP.
Yes, I had hopes for him. With his military record and relative youth, I thought he might be the future. I was seriously disappointed when he went AWOL.
Al Green lost his Primary Run-Off, too.
Trump’s 2026 primary purge rolls on:
Primaried Sen. Bill Cassidy
Primaried Rep. Thomas Massie
Primaried Sen. John Cornyn

Race for the House: Industrial Midwest Overview and Seat Ratings

And none of this had to happen, if the GOP had just gotten on board MAGA and passed laws in 2025/2026 the way the voters had asked them to.
We didn’t get deficit spending reduction, voting reform, immigration reform, budget balancing, or even DOGE-identified fraud eliminated. The GOP was too busy sniffing Democrat feet to do their jobs.
It would have been even better if Paul Ryan hadn’t blocked the agenda in PDJT’s first term!
Thanks gz9gig, I forgot about Paul Ryan, Democrat mole Wisconsin.
Listening to your constituents. It’s an idea so crazy it just might work!
Let’s not forget older victories: Nasty Liz Cheney ranking at the top.
Liz Cheney (WY) – Lost her 2022 primary to Harriet Hageman.
Peter Meijer (MI) – Lost his 2022 primary to John Gibbs.
Tom Rice (SC) – Lost his 2022 primary to Russell Fry.
Jaime Herrera Beutler (WA) – Lost her 2022 primary to Joe Kent.
Anthony Gonzalez (OH) – Retired in 2022 rather than face a primary challenge.
Adam Kinzinger (IL) – Retired in 2022.
John Katko (NY) – Retired in 2022.
Fred Upton (MI) – Retired in 2022 after redistricting
Adam Kinzinger is most likely still crying.
Its a big club, and they ain’t in it anymore.
Kinzinger sold his soul to the Democrats and they redistricted him out of his seat anyway.
The hostile takeover of the GOP by Donald Trump continues apace.
Hostile takeover to overturn the hostile takeover of the GOP by the RINOs (Democrats in Disguise).
Now do Michigan, President Trump! Especially watch the gubernatorial race: we MUST get rid of Lyin’ Jocelyn Benson!
Post the map again my dear friend Betsy. Dallas county actually flipped to Paxton by 700 or so votes. Cornyn won Austin and one other GOA county. Paxton nearly ran the board.
Did it really? Oh my my MY!!!!
Jolly good, dear sir!
I’ve always found it fascinating that the Dallas Dem Mayor abruptly switched parties to little or no outcry (it seems).
Perhaps Dallas is gradually understanding the ramifications of voting for the party of destruction. Plenty of examples of once great cities which are hellholes now.
Thank you, fellow Texan and also dear friend 💕
How did Harris County vote. I used to live in Houston and loved Houston when it was Houston and not some Blue International City.
Ouch!
Yes, Austin. They call it, Moscow on the Red River, if memory serves!
The midterms can be swept by MAGA if they get off their arses in November and vote!
Gulf of America, just small correction, have a great evening
All RINOs are are Democrats who live in Red States. Bushes in Texas, Collins in Maine (before it turned blue), Murkowski in Alaska, Cassidy in Louisiana, Romney in Utah,McCain in Arizona, Tillis in NC, Thune in Dakota (forget which one), McConnell in Kentucky, Cheney in Wyoming, Kinsinger in wherever he was from…many, many more. Treehouse dwellers have been saying for ten years the only way to get them out of the House and Senate is to primary them. That’s what’s happening. The Establishment hampered Outsider Reagan with Establishment Bush, Outsider Trump with Establishment Pence, defeated the Tea Party that put them in power for the first time in decades and hindered Trump and MAGA in Trump’s first term. Sooner or later we were going to catch on. We caught on.
DON’T FORGET DICK LUGER, THE UR-RINO. My mentor, M. Stanton Evans, was editorial page editor of the Indy Star for many years. He was convinced Lugar was an undercover Democrat and always had been.
And I am convinced there are many more just like Dick Luger. Don’t be a Dick!
And we must never forget lest we undo the progress made so far.
Both speeches were well done.
Paxtan is energized and ready to fight. I am glad he spoke well of Cornyn’s service.
Cornyn seemed a bit down, but did not come across as bitter. He is 74 years old. Perhaps he should just enjoy a time for retirement.
I wish them both well.
Importantly, just heard a news report that Cornyn will support the GOP ticket in the general election.
Excellent news. Maybe he could set an example for Cassidy and Massie
GOP or MAGA?
Yes this is the real question!
He was there for 28 years.
Name one thing he’s known for. Other than being a hanger-on.
I’m thinking…
Me too…can’t name anything. And now how much damage will he Cornyn to the America First agenda in the next few months?
Hindering Trump’s/MAGA’s agenda while claiming to be a Republican. Still he wasn’t as bad as Ryan, Romney, McConnell, Tillis, Murkowski, Collins and Thune.
Pushing a democrat anti-2A agenda in TX!!!
Not bitter you say, maybe he didn’t learn enough Christian teachings to at least mention the winners name.
I thought he was too stunned – maybe had not gone into the bitter phase yet because he was still in shock.
He never saw the writing on the wall apparently!
When are the entrenched, arrogant, compromised GOP Establishment leaders of the Senate going to recognize We The People are FED UP with their still ongoing, decades long betrayal of us? We The People ELECTED President Trump THREE TIMES (the 2nd was stolen)!!! How dare they oppose our President & our MAGA agenda??? Their political governing power belongs to US — it’s loaned to them to represent & serve us!!!!! How many more RINOs have to be primaried before they recognize THEY need to change their ways????
The GOP Establishment exists to b**ch slap and neuter their own voters. They have no other purpose.
And we have a long, long, way to go before they have to worry about us primarying them out of existence.
Remembering that despicable John McCain. Horrible, horrible grifter.
He ruined 3 of our jets, not counting the fire on the USS Forrestal, 2 more and he would be an enemy ace!
Abandoned his bed ridden cancer stricken wife to hook up with the heiress. He thought he was really very clever.
Well, GOD is having the last word.
almost all. they will be paid to lose and run out the clock.
I am wondering how Karl Rove will explain all this in his op-ed column on Thursday in the WSJ?
WHO?
/sarc
I know you meant that in jest….
But I’m really tired of the establishment telling me to care about what he thinks.
LMAO!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Rove will blather on about Talarico likely winning in November because TX went too MAGA.
If memory serves AG Ken Paxton endured the “turd Blossom” Bush family efforts to impeach him. The Texas Republican elites did their best to make sure his kind never rose again. Jeb Bush’s first born son ran against Ken Paxton. He lost that race.
Never again will we tolerate this behavior from those who consider themselves smarter and better than we, mere patriots.
Add Josh Hawley Missouri (next gen decepticon who intentionally blocked the most recent opportunity for recess appointments on Memorial Day) to the must primary list.
MAGA
Is there a link to this ?
Guess the RINO state senators in SC didn’t get the message and are allowing one of the biggest racist in Congress to continue his dynasty. I’m so angry with Senate President Shane Massey for not only allowing this to happen but enabling it. He lives in a very conservative area…guess once again the voters’ voices do not mean a darn thing.
All of those things, but…. we always have 6 years to get over it. Not this time…
I love our President but wish he would please stop being nice to lindsey graham.
All of ‘em!
Amen and Amen!
Paxton and Spencer Pratt are both what we need much more of.
Unlike Vance or Rubio, we don’t have to wonder about their authenticity.
I am enjoying VERY MUCH watching Spencer Pratt – fighting to get the job to clean up Los Angeles –
so many times it is distressing to see other Americans just flat-out dismissing California altogether and definitely Los Angeles –
having been born in Pasadena, California and growing up in the area plus spending time in lots of other beautiful areas in California, I KNOW and remember how great it was.
My Mom was born in Pasadena as well (in 1928); her parents came out to Pasadena in 1926 on their honeymoon.
My Dad was born in Denver (1924); he came out with his family in 1930 to Glendale.
A favorite thing to do on the weekend was just taking a drive and I can just imagine how my parents and grandparents would be horrified to see what has become of one of the greatest places, picking a route to take on a Sunday around Southern California, like going out along Wilshire Boulevard, stopping at the Velvet Turtle, the La Brea Tar Pits and MacArthur Park on the way out to Beverly Hills to drive around there.
Or just places in the course of a normal work week.
There were so many places where you could ramble around – downtown LA, to Phillipe’s for a French Dip sandwich and a very inexpensive cup of coffee. Chinatown. Little Tokyo. The Pantry for a very late night breakfast. Tommy’s on Beverly and Rampart for a double chili cheese hamburger. Engine Company Number Seven by the Hilton on 7th near Figueroa for a meatloaf sandwich. Olvera Street just to walk around, perhaps lunch at La Golondrina. Oh, a cute little restaurant upstairs in the Bradbury Building. Eating your sack lunch in the courtyard at the County Court building . . . or going up to the lookout near the top of City Hall. Going in the evening to watch the new Triforium “performing”. Lunch in the cafe at the Hotel Figueroa. The lunch room at Bullock’s Wilshire.
Great memories. Time to restore and reclaim our beautiful State.
Thank you!
Hope is a beautiful thing – like sunshine!
Wish we had a Phillipe’s down here in South Florida! Thanks, suejeanne, for the memories!
The Pantry! Tommy’s! You have said it all.
The air is clearer now than when I grew up there. It used to be you could barely see the San Gabriel Mountains standing in Pasadena. All the smog would blow in from the basin and settle there. That is one improvement from the 60’s and 70’s.
Original third generation Californian here, and bailed for the Deep South almost five years ago.
I still vividly recall the summer days growing up in La Mirada, what the air felt like and how it smelled. I loved it. Later I moved to Laguna Beach and then Newport. There were still orange orchards at one point as I drove Laguna Cyn Rd to pick up the 5 to go to work. The scent of those orange blossoms was actually intoxicating.
My grandmother and mother (13 yo), arrived in the Glendora area around 1929 and bought a farm there. They would enthusiastically exclaim how the L.A. region was such a gorgeous agricultural paradise. All essentially extinct now due to decades of extreme legal and illegal immigration.
Thanks for the tour of Cali… Maybe one day I’ll share the same for The Bronx and NY City
circa 1950s… Great Times!!!
Vance is not authentic. He is acting.
Disagree…I think his bio proves it. He might not agree with everything Trump, as do many of us, but he knows his role as VP and has strong moral values. How about providing some “authentic” reasons for your comments?
Agree with you Teagan – Vance is based and rooted in the importance of family, having faced the discords and struggles of family as he grew up.
Much of the opposition to him seems reflexive and unwillingness to accept that people learn and can evolve their POV. Do not believe that MAGA should mirror the attitude of the left which routinely destroys based upon the smallest pretext. Others have changed – RFKennedy, Rubio, Gabbard, people met in the neighborhood.
Yeah….something very rehearsed…odd
Maybe that’s his style…dunno
Jane, I agree.
Something in my spidey tells me j d is not to be trusted as authentic.
Yes, and I believe President Trump is well aware. Standby…
Paxton has always been a strong ally in the war against election fraud. The Uniparty opposes the SAVE ACT mostly for this single reason.
Pig. So many of them.
No SAVE ACT equals no Cornyn.
Right On
💯
Former Senator-to-be John Cornyn seemed to me to give an excessively long “concession speech” –
I would say he appeared to be stunned and kept hoping he would be awakened from an odd dream he was having about a concession speech!
Texas goodbye, we kindly hold the door & sincerely & respectfully wish you well as you exit, but no tears or gratitude for prior service here. We don’t take kindly to non-loyalty. Cornyn should’ve known better.
THANK YOU TEXAS!!
My wife and kid and I voted in our swim clothes this afternoon and went to the pool…Paxton and Middleton for both of us. The kid is only 9 but he feeds the ballots into the scanner for us. I knew without question both were going to win.
We teach our Texans young! Good job Joe & family!
I always take my toddlers with me! The poll workers (in my area, all nice retirees) love it and I get to educate the kiddos on the importance of civic engagement. Plus they get stickers.
An F Liberty Score confirms UniParty affiliation
Cornyn becomes the first Texas Republican senator ever to lose his party’s nomination.
https://x.com/electionwiz/status/2059436312868835332?s=46&t=MRsSpiGJq0d9cgNcH7cVqA
Cocaine Mitch isn’t running so you can strike him from your list.
Tillis is also not running having essentially been driven away – 4 down.
Graham is the remaining chance – get it done South Carolina!!!
Sadly — Hyde Smith, Capito, Rounds have been given a pass. Rounds will probably be confirmed next week.
As for Collins – Would not vote for her under any circumstances. Chair of Appropriations Committee. See not reason to support that. So what if she is running against a radical leftist? Cannot see that he could do the damage she does as chair of spending.
Tillis, too. He’s leaving to give an uncloseted Democrat a chance to win in NC. Unfortunately, he might as he is a former governor.
Tillis too. But there is still a long way to go.
I notice Lindsey Graham’s dismal 43% Liberty score. He’s lower than McConnell and Thune!
Please send him home to his retirement my fellow South Carolinians.
Ohio Bernie Moreno showed uo at 3 am to help Thune stop the SAVE AMERICA ACT.
We in Ohio have got to replace him!
He seemed better than that.
Another snake in the grass!
Can you me direct me to where you saw this? This was not my understanding of what Moreno undertook.
He just got elected, right?
My wife’s grandfather was a governor of South Dakota many decades ago. He was honored with a statue several years ago and at the ceremonies we had lunch with the (Democrat);Lt Governor of South Dakota. Very nice, “normal” guy. He matter-of-factly said that SD Republicans were more liberal than SD Democrats. Why would that be? Why are both SD Senators on this naughty list?
No excuse but, to get elected Statewide, they have to appeal the more progressive SD Independent voters who put Senators George McGovern and Tom Daschle in office.
There is Todd Young. He evades the notice of many by not doing much media stuff but his voting record bears scrutiny and condemnation.
Bad, but not as bad as the other Alaska Super RINO Senator Murkowski!
I agree, Murkowski is rotten but we all know about her.
Young escapes notice but too often aligns to do serious damage to the America First agenda.
So, the dirt-bags not coming back in 2027:
Chip Roy
Cornyn
Massie
The Indiana scum
Crenshaw
Cassidy
Raffensperger (GA state government)
Al Green
Did I miss anyone?
Hopefully we get LA Mayor next.
Add on the SC scum for their next races.
Yeah, the Democrats got rid of their clown Al Green. Redistricting away from racially based districts did the trick. Good riddance and thank God a clown like Green should be nowhere near any government office, even dog catcher.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/house-dem-who-repeatedly-tried-impeach-trump-toppled-heated-texas-race
And don’t forget Jasmine Crockett… she lost her spot too. I do believe America is waking from her slumber…
Debbie Wasserman Schultz? But, I here now she is running in a redistricted black district. Oh, the irony.
Alcee Hastings’1st old stomping grounds. The now-incarcerated Corinne Brown’s, up near St. Augustine, was like that, too!
With all due respect to WORDMAN:
<The Democrats got rid of their clown Al Green>
The Cane Mutiny!
Yes, you forgot Cocaine Mitch McConnell.
Jasmine Crockett
This is winning!
Thank you Holy Father in Heaven for giving us President Trump and for blessing us with these primary results.
After 20 years, white male far left Dem. Steve Cohen in Tennessee quit his campaign for reelection representing a majority black, racially gerrymandered district. So rich with irony.
What did Chip do/not do to earn your hatred?
And think about what the Senate GOP committee blew on this primary promoting Cornyn! What was it almost $100 million spent by the Cornyn campaign? Shows just where the Senate GOP committee’s priorities are and it isn’t America First.
Blame Wesley Hunt, who spoiled the initial primary. If he had not run Paxton would have run outright. All this time and money wasted between Cornyn and Paxton could have been spent against TOFU Talarico.
100%
I perfer Talafreako.
I like Wesley Hunt. I think he has a future. BUT he’s a perfect example of my rule on how you can tell a Democrat pol from a Republican pol.
Democrats put PARTY first, themselves second and to hell with the country.
Republicans put THEMSELVES first and to hell with the country AND the party.
Exceptions to prove the rule? Hillary Clinton who put her personal ambition above any good to anyone and Donald Trump who puts the country first always.
That’s an amazing number! The old guard in the gop needs to take a hard look at the consensus in the country.
What I find interesting is the really ow voter turn-out for a big race. Looks like only a little over 1 million voted out of how many in Texas? 30 million?
EXACTLY. GOP committees ought to STAY OUT of primaries. As individuals they should be able to donate and as individuals endorse whomever they want, but spending GOP money to help a RINO hold on to his/her seat? NO!
Some state party bylaws allow endorsements (often at conventions) and some don’t. The Republican Party of Texas did give about $80,000 to the NRSC this cycle.
Do you have data on what the NRSC spent on this race? I don’t. But defending the seat in Nov is going to be expensive. Most of Cornyn’s support was from Texans for a Conservative Majority Super PAC which raised $36 million this cycle. The biggest contributor to that PAC by far is John L Nau III, who I think has Bush ties.
The dominoes are falling and the wagons are circling around John Thune
Scott Pressler has targeted him next to be primaried. He needs to go.
.
good by, soggy old john corhole. 40 decades too long.
Wee-hee-hee-hee, dee hee-hee-hee-hee
Wee-oh aweem away
The RINO sleeps tonight.
The RINO “weeps’ tonigjt.
Ken,
Thanks, you make us proud.
You are Texas, through and through.
President Trump endorsed you because he knows what it means to FIGHT-FIGHT-FIGHT and never give up and he recognized that in you and your track record ……… supporting him, no ifs, ands or buts.
Onward to the senate ……. where there is much needed MAGA / America First work to be done.
After President Trump fired Senator Cassidy from LA, last month, and, tonight, he fired Senator Cornyn from Texas, the senate Republicans need to get on the ball and FIRE THUNE from being senate leader and vote in a true MAGA / America First senator (ask President Trump who he would like).
A MAGA / America First senator who would quickly implement President Trump’s MAGA / America First agenda, starting with eliminating the senate filibuster rule.
Having a leader who supports his party’s popular President’s agenda isn’t new, it has been done in the past …… with a democrat president.
__________________________________________________
When Franklin Roosevelt became president, Senate Leader Joseph T. Robinson loyally followed the new president’s legislative agenda.
Robinson passed FDR’s agenda bills so quickly that Will Rogers joked “Congress doesn’t pass legislation any more, they just wave at the bills as they go by.
Robinson, who had spent long hours studying Senate procedures and legislative issues, would in fact yield more influence than any of his party leader predecessors would, and would even expand and better define the power of a party leader’s Senate Majority Leader post.
In 1937, the rule giving majority leader right of first recognition was created. With the addition of this rule, the Senate majority leader enjoyed far greater control over the agenda of which bills to be considered on the floor.

MAGA / America First isn’t just our motto, it is our duty!
Cornyn The corrupt always sound so pure of heart.
A warning folks….In the nonNovember elections Turnout is Dropping like a Rock. Cornyn mentioned 8% turnout. In TN we are in the teens for nonNovember elections. November elections have been falling except for when Trump is on the ballot. We have to drive an INCREASE IN TURNOUT. Get involved and help drive turnout UP.
Winning. This guy would make a great US Attorney General.
At this point, he would never pass confirmation in the Senate. Think about how wealthy all these senators have become on their senate paycheck, I don’t think they would want Ken Paxton investigating them. As a Texan, I am very sad to lose him as our AG. He did a great job and I always felt my rights were protected. It will be interesting to watch him in the Senate after he wins the election. He is a fighter and he will do a great job!
Yes, Ken Paxton was a great AG for Texas, a fighter. Let us hope and pray that our next AG will have learned by watching Ken Paxton, how to do it for us Texans!
I look forward to watching him in the Senate when he starts stirring things up! I am thinking it will be entertaining and refreshing to see thune squirm and writhe like the snake he is.
“Inch by inch everything’s a cinch”
We must think long term, cleaning out (s) elected “public” servants from dog catcher up without exception. For me anyone who participated in the 2020 steal screeching Free & Fair elections. Installing B-B-Biden for the kill see David Plouffe’s comment on killing off MAGA in 2016 in what we now know, in a bipartisan way.
Jan 6th was an act of insurrection jailing good Americans for 4 years most with no trial as essentially political prisoners. Or that enemy MSM label of “Election Denier” imprisoning Tina Peter’s for doing her job.
Telling us that C-19 aka the Wuhon Con happened naturally, destroying millions of Americans to rid the swamp of the Orange Irritant, our Great American President Donald J Trump.
The real fight to save America has begun, Right On! …with the slayed RINO’s a good start. .
MAGA!
Maybe we can call PDJT “Agent Orange” just to rub their noses in it.
I was very proud to help John Cornyn make history yesterday as the only incumbent senator from Texas to lose his primary election.
I was a little worried about the turnout when I went to the polls yesterday and there were very few people in line. I feared everyone was thinking “ahh, he has this in the bag, doesn’t need my vote”. Glad my fears were misplaced.
Happy to see Paxton win, hope he doesn’t turn on us now. I can’t imagine he will, he’s already been through the ‘uni-party’ meat-grinder here in Texas.
Cronyn, Roy, Crenshaw , Maddie, and Cassidy represent the perils of living in an echo chamber.
MAGA isn’t going anywhere but to victory.
All the money in the world, unlike in the past, won’t buy you an election if you value the interests of others over the MAGA platform.
Cornyn: “We’ve come up short.” Hahahahah. Good one. It was more like a freaking rout.
I know short.
I have lived my whole life short.
Sir, you did not come up anywhere close to short.
Let’s hope he call walk through the doors of congress without being transformed into a rino. President Trump once remarked they seemed to change when they go into the chamber. Perhaps a cross sprinkled with holy water would ward off satan’s influence there.
In his speech Cornyn referenced his annual meet and greet with upcoming military service academy students and how important it was to him. 16 years ago I attended that event with my daughter in Austin. He gave a speech and then did pictures with each future officer . It was announced there would be a moment of silence at 11:00 since it was Memorial Day. He was in the picture line the and it was forgotten about. Probably a staff failure. Anyhow 16 years later and I still remember
Hurrah Ken Paxton!! Hope he changes DC and remains untouched by all the filth and slime.
I have a feeling the ouster of John Thune may be all that accomplishes that.
The Paxton win was such a repudiation of the GOPe that I don’t see any way that Thune won’t take it personally and be even worse.
I hope he motions to remove Thune from Leadership. It only takes one to call it.
I enjoyed voting for Ken Paxton, but I REALLY enjoyed voting against Cornyn! Made me almost as happy as voting for Trump 3 times!
How hard would it be for a Reoublican Senator to vote in the in the interests of conservative Texans and conservative Americans? Too hard, it would appear.
Serious question: what happened to Cornyn? Bought off? Swamp fever?
It would be very hard. They would lose a huge slice of their filthy lucre.
“Republican in Name Only” means exactly that. No need to be bought off or Swamp fever set in when they are actual Democrats who run as Republicans to win elections in states/districts that only Republicans can win. RINO isn’t just a convenient slur for when they stray. It is accurately descript.
John Cornyn says he is going to support the Republican party nominee, as he should.
Cornyn is a liar.
Anticipating ‘cringe,’ I started viewing at the 10:39 mark because I wanted to see how Cornyn handled his defeat. I didn’t expect him to be as humbled as he was. It was a good speech not at all nasty, just a good humble defeat.
Well, I guess I can ‘like’ Cornyn as a person maybe not as a US Senator to represent our Republic, but like him as a lowly person like me.
Hahaha. Great point in today’s Coffee & Covid about the NYT never having criticized Cornyn over the last 24 years:
“It is true that Cornyn’s “sins” against the Trump agenda were relatively minor on paper. He voted with Trump 90% of the time. But there is a very simple way to tell which Republicans actually matter in the grand scheme of things, and it is what I call the New York Times Hate Index.
If you look at the Times’ topic page for John Cornyn over the last twenty years, you will find almost no headlines criticizing him. In fact, they barely mentioned him at all. In the entire year of 2023, he appeared by name in exactly two stories. When the Times did mention him, it was usually to pat him on the head and praise him for “defying Trump” to help Democrats pass more Ukraine aid.”
Childers refers to what he calls “The New York Times Hate Index”. Cornyn just wasn’t a member.
https://www.coffeeandcovid.com/p/squidly-wednesday-may-27-2026-c-and?publication_id=463409&post_id=199464661&isFreemail=true&r=209fvb&triedRedirect=true
That is a very telling ‘stat’. I had never heard of this NYTHI thing before, but I’ll keep an eye on it going forward. Thanks!
Cornyn said in his speech the 8% voted in the primary, did I get that right? Is that total of all who voted for Senator?
Goodness….!
Keep in mind that 60%+ of Texans are Dems or Indies and cannot vote in the Republican primary.
I believe TX is still open primary. Some court action may change that maybe soon.
I’m glad Paxton won.
For those worried Paxton might get to Washington and sell out to the Swamp like so many others– that is highly unlikely. The GOP establishment (Bush/Rove) used everything they had to try to get rid of him. Their unsuccessful impeachment attempt was derailed by Paxton’s fabulous attorney, Tony Buzbee, who outsmarted them at every turn. Their last-ditch effort was to get Wesley Hunt to split the vote in the primary. They tried that tactic before when Paxton ran for Texas AG.
I was disappointed in Hunt and also in the RINOs in the Texas House who voted to impeach on no evidence, costing taxpayers millions of dollars. Texas has a job ahead of us to primary out these RINOS in the Texas House.
Any so-called Republican who supports Cornyn should be voted out of office A.S.A.P. That goes for all of the establishment GOP backstabbers, which seem to be many. Good riddance.
The Trump Agenda, which most voted for, is in danger as long as RINO’s like Thune remain in office.
The debris has been piling up for decades, the time has come to take out the trash and it appears to be discarded properly.
Cornyn, has had 42 years as a public servant, did he serve Texas properly? I do feel confident in saying he has not served our great republic well.
Another swamp creature gone many more to go!
Just read Cook Political Report shifted TX from Safe R to Leans R. This is Phase 1 of an election theft set up.
To get away with stealing an election first and foremost it has to be plausible. It becomes plausible when a contest is believed to be close, uncertainty.
They can’t rig the vote counting, machines and name a D winner in a solid R contest. So the narrative of a close election must be established long before the November vote.
Enter Cook Political Report shift in race odds. It is the beginning of the narrative war, make Texans and national viewers come to believe it is a closer contest in Texas.
That somehow a radical progressive atheist studying Christianity to learn some lingo like a horse whisperer learns to talk to horses – while blaspheming Christianity into Marxist dogma – could be preferred over Paxton is pure rubbish.
But that’s the play, that’s the D-RINO play in Texas to beat Paxton. First they must make the election steal *plausible* so that when they announce they rigged results the people will accept them.
To beat a narrative war requires a counternarrative war. Paxton is going to crush the little commie mocking Christianity as big as he crushed Cornyn. THAT must be the expectation. So it becomes *implausible* to steal the election.
Always enjoy seeing any Senator defeated. It’s so rare to see. Since the 17th Amendment, each senator is like a state unto himself with little to no accountability. It’s like we have 100 states in America instead of 50. What was conceived as the states’ house in the Congress became perverted. I wish President Trump would begin to advocate for repeal of the 17th.
Ken Louisiana’d Cornyn, just as we did to Cassidy. Keep it up Republican/MAGA voters! It’s called, “Winning!”
Cornyn must have deflated his head for the Pix. Being in DC for all those years made his Head and the Goodyear Blimp the same size!
”public service career lasting more than 4 decades”.More like 4 decades of selling favors.
Need term limits, but until that happens, forced retirement is good.
A BIG THANK YOU to Texas for getting rid of Cornyn and his 40 years of terrible representation of We The American People!!!
Please ignore…
I can’t believe the GOP swamp invested so much money to Senator Cornyn. Instead of fighting the Loony Left Dems; Cornyn chose a nasty campaign with mega backing. His idea of fixing things that happened at Uvalde was to pass another law instead of kicking the cowardly “law enforcement” officers in the butt for allowing the killing to go on for an hour. They Punish the gun instead of the evil doers. Stupid non-Texan response. Happy he will be soon gone.
