Apparently, former Attorney General Pam Bondi has been battling thyroid cancer since her departure from Main Justice. Axios is reporting today that President Trump has appointed Bondi to an advisory committee role on artificial intelligence.

Driving the news: Bondi, whom Trump ousted as AG last month, will be on the Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST).
The panel is chaired by former White House AI adviser David Sacks and White House science adviser Michael Kratsios. It also includes more than a dozen tech executives, including Nvidia co-founder Jensen Huang, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison.
What we’re hearing: Bondi will be charged with facilitating coordination between the government and the tech titans on the panel.
What they’re saying: “Pam has been an enormously valuable asset to the president’s team, and I’m thrilled for her and for all of us that she’s going to remain involved in confronting some of the most important issues the administration faces,” Vice President JD Vance said in a statement.
Bondi will also serve in a newly established advisory role on national infrastructure.

Yes, my mother had her thyroid removed due to cancer at the ripe old age of 92, and she did fine. Had to take a daily pill the rest of her life.
So did my niece at 16. They over radiated her and destroyed her salavia gland. That caused problems with her teeth, she had to have dental implants.
They also told her she would never be able to have kids, she has two now and leads a normal life

We were yanking out thyroids left and right while I was in the US Air Force (73-83). Now I hardly ever hear of them doing such. I myself was diagnosed with two cold nodules (most likely to go cancerous) by the VA and NO ONE has ever followed up on it one little bit. Not even civilian doctors have felt the need. I guess symptoms dictate further follow-up.
Ditto. Had my thyroid cut out over a decade ago, for cancerous nodules originally picked up on a CTscan for something else. Not minor surgery, but I survived. I take Levothyroxin every day.

It is, if it’s Papillary, the most common form and the type I had twenty-seven years ago. Not so much if it’s Follicular. Medullary, or Anaplastic (the rarest and least survivable form). Those three can be quite problematic and difficult to manage. Hopefully, whichever it is, it has not spread beyond the gland itself. Prayers for Pam!

The included prayer is correctly mindful of the realities of God vs. us, and therefore the need for prayer. NKJV:

This is context of 1 Timothy 2: Everywhere. Not limited to preaching at a church pulpit, as some wrongly assert when faced with the next part which is controversial.

Understanding these Scriptural tenets, we understand that God did not design women to compete with men for power in high-stress positions that are deleterious to health – such as a lifestyle of long hours being physically sedentary in an office, engaged in hostile Machiavellian struggles with ruthless men, subsisting on ultra-processed “food” and drink saturated in pesticides and plastic chemicals, denied beneficial sunlight and clean air and nature. A recipe for physical and mental breakdown, cancer, and many other ills.
It’s also bad for men, but women even more (the weaker vessel). Bondi is a pitiable example of typical outcomes. It’s obvious by her appearance that she spent most of her time indoors under high stress.

Before me, female nurses shaved only the women prior to surgery. I was assigned to do all training record maintenance for all
technicians. I was assigned to do all scheduling for all technicians, up to 30 days in advance. I wrote annual performance reports for people under my supervision. I got two commendation medals. I worked as “night man,” covering 16 hour shifts at night and 24 hour shifts on weekends and holidays. I gave nurses their breaks in the morning, and for their lunches. I never took a morning break or a lunch break. I pulled cases (instruments and sterile packs) for all cases we were doing the next day. I worked in the workroom preparing instrument sets and sterile fabric packs. I sterilized sterile instrument sets and fabric draping packs. I counted sponges and needles and weighed sponges for blood loss. I had surgeons in specialties requesting me as circulating nurse over the RN’s. I scrubbed more cholecystectomies than I can count. We did 500 cases a month at Malcolm Grow Medical Center, Andrews AFB, Washington, D.C. Me and 21 other male technicians. I attained the rank of Technical Sergeant.

There is something in every soldier that goes deeper than thinking or working—it’s his ‘guts.’ It is something that he has built in there: it is a world of truth and power that is higher than himself. Great living is not all output of thought and work. A man has to have intake as well. I don’t know what you call it, but I call it religion, prayer, or God.”

He talked about Gideon in the Bible, said that men should pray no matter where they were, in church or out of it, that if they did not pray, sooner or later they would “crack up.” To all this I commented agreement, that one of the major training objectives of my office was to help soldiers recover and make their lives effective in this third realm, prayer. It would do no harm to reimpress this training on chaplains. We had about 486 chaplains in the Third Army at that time, representing 32 denominations.
Once the Third Army had become operational, my mode of contact with the chaplains had been chiefly through Training Letters issued from time to time to the Chaplains in the four corps and the 22 to 26 divisions comprising the Third Army. Each treated of a variety of subjects of corrective or training value to a chaplain working with troops in the field.
“I wish,” said Patton, “you would put out a Training Letter on this subject of Prayer to all the chaplains; write about nothing else, just the importance of prayer. Let me see it before you send it. We’ve got to get not only the chaplains but every man in the Third Army to pray. We must ask God to stop these rains. These rains are that margin that holds defeat or victory. If we all pray, it will be like what Dr. Carrel said, it will be like plugging in on a current whose source is in Heaven. I believe that prayer completes that circuit. It is power.”
