How do you sum up the economic forecast for Europe? This story highlights one of the craziest stories in a long time. This is so blindingly suicidal, it cannot be stupidity. This is intentional.
BACKGROUND – You might remember last year due to climate/carbon emission regulations inside Europe EU automakers had to pay fines to the EU Commission if they did not meet electric vehicle targets. In order to avoid the penalties many EU automakers began purchasing ‘carbon credit’ offsets from Chinese EV automakers.
European car makers were paying China for carbon credits, and Chinese car companies began using the payments to lower prices. Europe was, essentially, paying China to undercut their own auto market. The result was European car makers, specifically those in Germany, losing market share to lower price EVs from China. German industry began shrinking.
If that wasn’t crazy enough, what comes next is beyond laughable. As a result of lost sales and diminished volumes, Volkswagen had shut down auto plants. Now, Volkswagen is announcing that Chinese automakers, their China “partners,” will take over the underutilized facilities and start building Chinese cars in Germany.
GERMANY – Volkswagen Group is facing increased pressure from its board to further cut costs despite already announcing radical measures, such as axing around 50,000 jobs in Germany by 2030 and reducing production capacity by up to 3 million units per year to 9 million, which would make it very difficult to avoid plant closures or sales. Overall, Europe’s largest automaker aims to reduce costs by 20% by the end of 2028.
In an attempt to mitigate the effect of these measures, the automaker appears ready to do what not too long ago would have seemed unthinkable, namely selling China-developed cars in Europe and even sharing its underutilized plants in the region with its Chinese partners.
That’s what CEO Oliver Blume told investors and analysts on April 30 after presenting the company’s first-quarter 2026 results, which saw the automaker’s profit drop 14% to $2.92 billion amid higher U.S. tariffs and intense competition from Chinese carmakers.
In order to deal with excess capacity in Europe and rising competition from Chinese brands in Europe in the coming years, Blume said VW Group is considering selling China-built cars in Europe. It’s the first time that Volkswagen has acknowledged it is contemplating such a move. (read more)
♦ SUMMARY: Volkswagen went to China to sell cars. Volkswagen opened EV auto plants in China bringing in German industrial technology and equipment. China learned from Volkswagen and started their own EV auto companies to compete. Volkswagen EV sales in China started dropping dramatically, and the Chinese EV brands took over.
Due to internal climate regulations in Europe, Volkswagen in the EU then begins giving money to China that subsidizes their competition. China exports their EVs to Europe. Volkswagen EV auto plants start closing. China now takes control of the Volkswagen EV auto plants to build Chinese EVs in Germany.
With operations now inside the house, the Chinese government extract European wealth and pump subsidies into their EV operations in Germany, flooding the European market with cheap EVs that will undercut the German auto manufacturing sector.
You cannot make steel with windmills and solar panel energy. Germany has destroyed much of their coal and nuclear power plants. German energy prices have skyrocketed. German steel is expensive. German cars are expensive as a result. Where do you think the inexpensive steel for the ultra-cheap Chinese EVs will come from?
Now, replace [Germany] with [Canada].
China is playing by a different set of rules and they are being allowed to do so.
So the question is why and how specifically has this all come to be, because that then validates what most of us know.
We’re getting to the point here where there is no denying that China aims to take over the planet and apparently that is okay with many countries- like Europe it appears.
It seems as though Europe is acting with desperation.
No Europe is suffering from suicide.

All through the 1930s, constructing entire industrial facilities, creating the Russian electrical grid, their automotive industry, and much more were the financial and industrial elite of the US.

American engineering and construction firms were mobilized, credit was extended, Commerce Department licenses for exports were approved. Our experts and labor built the factories. Our experts trained the Russians how to run them. Most of the production wound up being modern weapons needed for winning a war–tanks, planes, self-propelled guns, armored cars, gunpowder and high explosives, all through American technology and American training.
General Electric—As Sutton described it, GE “electrified” the Soviet Union. Without the kind of generation and distribution that is in the advanced nations, there can be no military-industrial complex.
Ford Motor Company–The automotive plant at Gorki, Russia was constructed. In 1941 the War Department published a “Basic Field Manual” titled “Identification of Foreign Armored Vehicles German, Japanese, Russian, Italian, and French.” Ford is frequently mentioned as the producers of TANK ENGINES for Soviet (Russian) tanks. Other military vehicles were produced at Gorki.
Caterpillar Tractors—Caterpillar established a “tractor plant” at Chelyabinsk, Russia. It is interesting that Russian tractors used tracks instead of wheels and tires, but that made it more efficient to produce tanks as tanks also run on tracks.
Chevrolet—This firm is also mentioned in the War Department field manual as manufacturing tank engines for the Soviet military.
United States Steel—US Steel was responsible for the construction of a duplicate of the Gary, Indiana steel works near Stalingrad. Without steel, no tanks, no artillery pieces, no small arms. The entire works were built on a concrete slab.
Dupont and Nitrogen Engineering—Under the guise of producing fertilizer, these corporations, and the construction and engineering firms that helped put them up and train Russian personnel to run them, these refining facilities mass produced refined nitrogen a key element in modern munitions propellants and high explosives. In World War I, Russian had no such production capabilities to mass produce refined nitrogen, causing shortages in munitions manufacture during the earlier war. In subsequent wars, the Soviet regime would not have that problem. Not solving this in the 1930s would have resulted in defeat of the USSR by the Nazi War Machine.
We could go on, and you should read the book. Russia is where Hitler was defeated. Wasn’t it prescient (?) for someone to think of sponsoring a massive build up like this in the lull between the World Wars? Kind of makes one think those millions living on soup kitchen food or begging in the streets during the 1930s was made worthwhile because of how a war Nobody Planned in Advance (?) turned out.

My neighbor is German, recently got her US Citizenship the right way and knows full well what is coming. She says that Merz is the most hated man in Germany right now. The people need to fix that but sadly, like here, that is a steep mountain to climb.

IMO, schools, churches & media throughout the EU are as corrupt as in the US — but the US has a vigorous talk radio culture, most of it “conservative” — I don’t think the Euro’s have anything like it — plus, EU internet & radio are likely regulated in such manner as to keep the populations as ignorant and docile as possible — always harping on “misinformation.”
Consider, for example, how the AfD is demonized in Germany by their MSM — one might think it the 2nd coming of the 3rd Reich the way it is put down by the political establishment & its propaganda outlets.
In most MBA programs you have to form a team, pick a big problem to study and then offer the solution(s). I would categorize Germany’s auto business as a worthy problem to tackle. The solution would probably be too easy. Just dump the Socialist/Communist leadership and give China the boot. There. Problem solved.

So America allows foreign automakers to build plants on American soil…So Germany chooses to be in bed with China, it’s their choice and probably got a sweetheart deal to keep Germany economy from bankruptcy, also probably why PDJT is pulling our troops after his 2-hour phone call with Vlad that are anyway really needed in the Arabian Gulf

I believe China will fail, over time they will realize not enough power to run the factories and the people there do not have enough money to even buy their cheap junk.
There are consequences to every action China takes to gain a foothold, like China does not have to fret over climate change. We have too. One local urbanization battle I helped with, started with a $1 million EPA grant given to a town to run a “Downtown Infrastructure Assessment”. The town was told it had to use a specific contractor: Global Green.
Global Green is owned by Gorbachev. Happened all over the US and has driven much Agenda21/ICLEI erosion and damage at city and county levels. It also seeded Regional Governance councils across the US which have superseded Town Councils..

It’s almost as if climate change and green energy regulations and post cold war international trade agreements were Chinese architecture for global hegemony. It’s not almost as if, it’s it was.
Every single one of the politicians and chief executives who promoted these changes and passed the laws, regulations and policies made money. It was treason money which made it possible has the destruction of Western Civilization on their hands.
The evidence is there for this treachery. The actions taken step by step in this process are available. Then kink the decision making with the calendar. Then locate the bank accounts. All it takes is for one brave FBI guy, MI5 guy, or whatever to gather the evidence and then blow it sky high.
