Melania and Trump look pretty good. King and wife looks like they are about to fall over.
She needs to use smaller shoulder pads. She always looks like she’s hunched over they are so large.
She IS hunched. From muscle weakness and/or another genetic condition. The pads counteract it. They aren’t too big, IMO, though they might make a different impression in close-ups. It’s partly a matter of taste, but pads are back.
The pointy ones that Kate’s been stylishly sporting struck me as a little jarring at first, but she wears them well.

The same can be said for North Korean military officers with their uniforms festooned with medals and ribbons, the police action has been over for 63 years.
Perhaps you’re too young to remember, and I having some English blood in me paid more attention when younger, but all of the “Royal” men are required to enter the military service. Prince Charles enlisted in the Royal Air Force, was a pilot, moved to the Royal Navy, received Commando training from the Royal Marines, and was a parachutist. Some of that service allowed him to wear the green beret and the Commando Dagger. His medals come from those services.

Let’s be real, King Charles’ life peaked when he married Princess Di. Showed himself to be a jerk then and has circled the drain since. No wonder Queen Elizabeth refused to turn the kingdom over to him for so long.

British law forbade Queen Elizabeth from naming Prince Charles as King because of his divorce of Princess Di. Though purely a matter of law and not practice, Britain is a Church of England country that was once governed by more strict moral standards. She finally had the law changed to allow him to take the throne. A bad move in my opinion…

President Trump looks like he’s gritting his teeth wanting to get this state visit over with. Don’t blame him a bit. Talking Ukraine up today was a bridge too far. My favorite thing the President and First Lady do is how they consistently hold hands, no matter what event they’re at.
They love and support each other through thick and thin. Wonderful role models for a world starving for the presence of love and affection.
