Details are surfacing about Cole Tomas Allen, the 31-year-old California schoolteacher who tried to gain entry to the venue in order to assassinate President Trump and/or cabinet members in attendance.
A manifesto was sent to relatives prior to the effort saying the gunman wanted to target administration officials. Investigators also found extensive anti-Trump and anti-Christian rhetoric across his social media accounts. According to reports [AP Newswire], Allen’s brother alerted New London Police Department after receiving the alleged manifesto before the incident.
U.S. Secret Service and Montgomery County Police Department later interviewed Allen’s sister, Avriana Allen, at the family home in Rockville. Key points from the interview: She said her brother often made radical statements and spoke about doing “something” to fix today’s world. She confirmed he bought 2 handguns and a shotgun from Cap Tactical Firearms and stored them at their parents’ home reportedly without their knowledge.
Additionally, Cole Tomas Allen regularly trained with firearms at shooting ranges. He was reportedly linked to a group called “The Wide Awakes.” and he attended a “No Kings” protest in California.

No wonder that guy wasn’t shot. The way he ran through that room, he created so many cross fire situations, the protection crew really couldn’t shoot without shooting each other.
But that’s also why “the room is there.” You have to run all the way through it. People positioned at one end of the room are running after you while the others whom you haven’t reached yet are watching you come. “Shooting at you” is only one way to stop you. But you will be running towards an area where you can, if necessary, reliably be shot without endangering other agents in pursuit. It didn’t come to that. He was tackled and cuffed.
It’s too soon to tell whether the agent who was shot was, in fact, shot by the assailant. It will take analysis of video, likely, to determine that. As well as eyewitness interviews. Obviously, for a few seconds there were lots of bullets flying around.
Security is way too lacking. What if instead of a soy nut it had been a trained assault team with automation weapons?

I read somewhere that he had travelled by train, to the east coast. That’s a lot of state lines to cross with weapons…not an expert but I believe each state has laws/rules that must be followed individually, for the transport of weapons. At least that is what Illinois tells me…
