Trump is Jupiter moving through the asteroid belt. He is going to pull people into his orbit.
A few will get slung off into space, but most will come along for the ride of their lives.
I am ON the Trump Train for good, even if I scream that I want off and can’t take it. In the end, I only want to scream “TOO MUCH WINNING!!!”

Here is the game plan that the forces against Trump will be using for the foreseeable future.
They will attempt to get you to make the perfect the enemy of the good.
Be it the freedom clowns and spending, the immigration hawks with H1B visas, the peace doves with timing, the cultural warriors with total bans of DEI/CRT, the neocons with war fighting, or the swamp dwellers with draining the swamp.
All of them will attempt to get you to believe on whatever issue is the issue of the day that it doesn’t go far enough or do enough. They will try to make you think that some sub issue of that issue is more important and should be handled first, that since the issue hasn’t been handled yet it won’t be, that we can’t do more than one thing, that so and so is a plant to stop the draining of the swamp, or that because it wasn’t 100% Trump lied. On every single issue, one or more groups will attempt this strategy.
You can’t allow them that power over you. If Trump secures the border and deports 2 million, don’t allow them to reduce that good by them saying well he didn’t deport 2.5 million, so he failed or lied.
You can’t allow them to use the perfect to void out the good in the coming months.
They will try. They already have with the CR and the H1b visa debates. It works, that is why they use it. You have to keep it in the front of your head on everything about to occur that half a loaf or hopefully in most cases 7/8ths a loaf is better than no loaf.
Do not allow them to gaslight you into thinking the good is the enemy of the perfect.
In the real world, most things are never perfect, but if we try real hard, we can get plenty of good accomplished in the coming 4 years.
The purpose and goals of President Trump are plainly visible by his actions and consistent: He is for the benefit first of the common PEOPLE of this country, then of the PEOPLE in the rest of the world. It is validating, even to our battered conservative skepticism.
The methods of his leadership are amazing. I still don’t get HOW he does it, or HOW he is able to get so much momentum going, but every day the momentum is growing. Everyone and every organization has their eyes opened every day — just by watching him. Even those who hate him, are biased against him, and want to see him gone — cannot ignore him. He lives rent free in their head, and they come around to seeing the universal principles by which he is operating. He hammers actions based on truth from one direction, then another, and they cannot mount an organized opposition against him.
President Trump is transparent in his words and actions. He is consistent in what he says, what he does, and what he asks/demands of others. His promises are bold and he keeps them like no other president has. He continues to make massive, nearly overnight changes, not only in our country, but in the world. It is amazing that he is able to accomplish so much when there are so many snakes in the grass. This second term, he is weeding them out faster and choosing like-minded servants who multiply his effectiveness. No U.S. president has ever faced so much organized resistance and treason than President Trump
He has chosen to use his intellect and every skill he has to do what is right. He has tremendous faith that he can make a difference in this world. He has a confidence and courage such that he doesn’t care what others think, yet a humility to know he has to do it with the help of like minded people. Those people are the “common” people, and he ridicules those who think they are not common. He does not show humility before men, but his actions show humility before God.
He believes people are basically good. He believes that God is real. He believes that healthy people are happy people, and they need to be able to create wealth freely for their labor, and have the freedom to spend their money on what is good for them.
He believes the United States, with its Constitutional Republic, is the best environment in the world to enable and give opportunity for people to be happy and prosperous.
He believes that we can be a light for the world, but we must demand that the rest of the world respect us and our right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
He believes the enemy of our country are the stupid, greedy American people who have been selfishly taking advantage of this country; who betrayed the trust and obedience of its people; and who diverted the people’s wealth for their own selfish gain, at the expense of the principles of this country. He’s not going to allow that anymore. He is not afraid to call out our enemies.
He has cultivated and focused the family of MAGA. Identifying those people whose goodness, industriousness, trust, and obedience have been taken advantage of and abused. He has opened our eyes to this abuse, and to the rights of freedom and self determination that have been quietly stolen from us.
He has rekindled the same healthy distrust held by our founders of government and men with too much power. He has recultivated the desire to reclaim our freedoms and rights, and is empowering us with a hope and pathway to reclaim our spiritual and economic freedom.
He wants the US to be a light of hope on the hill for all people. He will negotiate win/win agreements with those nations and countries who respect us; who respect the principles and intent of our Constitution. If you do not respect us, however, we are not going to let you take advantage of our goodness, or share in our wealth at our expense. If you as a nation are treating your people badly, you are going to be treated less favorably by us, until you show that you value your people as much as we value ours. He believes that nations who treat their people well will also be good economic neighbors with us.
He is convincing those who are very wealthy (most of whom truly earned their money), that the best economic soil in which to build wealth is in a constitutional republic, which supports the ability of the common man to earn wealth in proportion to his efforts. The economic engine of the United States is the human spirit freed to enjoy the fruits of honest labor, and that engine has more natural and raw horsepower than any other governed economy.
The Trump Train seems to be remarkably aligned with universal principles of Truth, which reflect the will and design of our Creator, and are the best standard by which we should live. These same principles were what our country’s founders used to declare independence, and framed into the Constitution of this nation.
Our founders believed that a nation should preserve the right and freedom of an individual to seek, understand, and live by God’s principles. They believed that free individuals working together in humility would make a stronger nation than a government which dictates its will on the people. President Trump professes and seeks to lead and restore this nation back to these same principles.
These principles resonate deeply within all human beings, down to our DNA in every cell, in our spirits, and produce fruit that “miraculously” multiplies. Because we follow universal principles, we see the snowballing acceleration of momentum. Lord please bring your power and might in the daily working of this sacred Nation you gave us.
Day 215 of the 2nd year of the 2nd term of this very stable genius. History is being made in the kingdoms of this world in the year of our Lord 2026.

Remember the Potsdam Declaration, defining Terms for Japanese Surrender of 26 July 1945. It had 13 articles: The elimination of militarist leadership and influence, ending occupation of designated Japanese territory until Japanese war-making capacity was destroyed, a limitation of Japanese sovereignty to Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, Shikoku and minor islands, the complete disarmament of Japanese forces with soldiers allowed to return home to live peacefully, prosecution and punishment of war criminals, democratic reforms including freedom of speech, religion, and thought, Japan to maintain a peacetime economy (but not to re-arm) with access to raw materials and the eventual withdrawal of occupying forces once a proper peaceful government was established and in place.
It specifically ended with a demand for the “unconditional surrender of all the Japanese armed forces” or face “prompt and utter destruction.”
The Japanese leadership had other ideas and ignored it. So a week and a half later the US followed through with its threat and did something, as promised, which got their attention well and truly.
A robust democracy and peace followed.

Ukraine states that it is ready to resume direct negotiations with Russia. In my opinion, it would be a mistake for Moscow not to accept and immediately start talks with Kiev. I do not disagree with Peskov’s statement that there are currently no reasons for optimism about a peaceful settlement, but negotiations and diplomacy are nonetheless required to begin the long process toward finding a format for ending this horrific war. Also, diplomacy and negotiations must be normalised again.
Direct talks are important, as US diplomacy is unreliable and deceptive, while the EU will resist any settlement that deprives it of a strong proxy. The West must at some point be part of the talks, as this is a war about the collapse of the pan-European security architecture. However, outsourcing the peace process to the NATO countries that started this conflict and prolonged it is a mistake as it is Russians and Ukrainians who are dying. For Russians and Ukrainians to merely sit at the same table has great value.

I just saw this story a short while ago and wondered the same thing. Drugs are usually retrieved from machines and have to be scanned. Obviously the drug is labeled . Potassium is not even close to what they were asking for.

Something else I remember, potassium chloride is never dispensed in straight vial form to any unit. In certain units we dispensed a standard K Run piggyback which was controlled. Even in surgery we never stocked vials.

From the nursing standpoint….I recently saw a photgraphic meme of nurses…showing the patient bed and nurse, on an ‘assembly line’ implicating a comparison to a factory…The ACA has altered nursing in a very bad way. The ‘formality’ of ‘professionalism’ has been removed. From fake ‘colleges of nursing’ to fake licenses. To lowering the standards of those in the profession. And the national nursing organizations (not unions) bought into it. To the detriment of patient care…”doing more with less”…and that concept is no longer working.
The only way this will stop is if “WE THE PEOPLE” make Congress put an end to these and other issues in health care.

Over in New Zealand, there are issues, like here, with health care, as I am learning (ovr work, under paid etc)…also fire and police…strikes, etc…
My Kiwi cousin, noticed that lack of ability of what an education should provide in America, in literally 2 successive events here in America, that at the cell phone repair shop (buying a charging cable for a cell phone) and then literally next stop at Burger King…the two kids, kids, could not make ‘complicated’ change. My cousin was trying to pay with dollar bills and change, to avoid the excess American change…they, BK, wants you to ‘swipe’ your ‘big bank’ card. Given the international money issues, he is trying to use cash.
I’m surprised they took dollars.
Even here, 80% of transactions are done with devices.
I will not patronize places that don’t take cash.
I would add to that checks – and actual cashiers. No – I’m not checking myself out and causing the loss of jobs.
Twice in the past four months I have used cash to pay the bill at fast food eateries (Chick-fil-A and Dominoes Pizza) when the electronic indicator for payment and change was inoperable. Both times, the cashiers were young adults and they had to get their managers to compute the change.
Fortunately, the cashiers’ math skills impairment won’t keep them from being accepted to UC Berkeley.

I hear you. The state of healthcare is just horrible.
My brother who was diagnosed with colorectal cancer over 2.5 years ago finally had his last surgery ( 5th) to reattach his intestinal system from a ileostomy. Less than 24 later he was discharged. It was classified as day surgery. Someone picked him up to go home and no sooner than he got in the door he fell and lacerated his head. Back in the EMT wagon and back to the hospital. Hemoglobin was 6.8. After many tests they couldn’t figure out why he was low. Another week plus in the hospital and during his stay he had a blood clot that lodged in his arm and part broke off and went to a lung
He just got home a couple of days ago. He felt like he was in a slaughterhouse while in the hospital.
Most of the nurses are Indian .
Obviously malpractice. They should have known better. Probably the insurance company told them to do it, and it wound up costing them more.

I was in San Antonio visiting a friend in the hospital, and I noticed that Filipinos dominated the nursing staff. I asked the Black charge nurse on his floor about it and she replied, “It’s economics.”
I read this yesterday and it sounded as though the problem stemmed from the pharmacy of the hospital. It didn’t clarify whether it was an in-house brand or a whole separate company given space.
I think we need to hold off judgment on the nurses or aides who may have administered this until we hear the rest of the story.
If there was some intentional bad acting behind the scenes no amount of SOP actions on their part would have detected it.

I need your help.
ATT is ending my landline service (phone + Internet) as of September 1, 2027. I have until August 31, 2026 to make any changes; after that I cannot change my service.
My current service is ATT Internet 18, which comes through a hybrid copper/fiber optic cable. The are offering something called ATT Advanced A as a work around. It is some jerry-rigged solution whereby some box is attached to my line at my house. Said box is supposed to connect my service to ATT wireless. At least that is what I understand.
I have read horror stories online about this ATT Advanced A system. Do any of you have experience with it?
I would really like to move away from ATT. Neighbors say fiber optic out here is sketchy because construction crews keep cutting the cables. Starlink is a possibility, but I have beautiful, tall post oak trees on my south side and I question being able to get a line of sight to the satellites.

Generally providers have been seeing higher costs to maintain their underground and above ground copper line connections.
Fiber optic lines can carry more bandwidth per customer ( which translates to quicker, smoother responses to computer websites or optional online movie / podcast viewing ).
It is also possible to sustain a landline telephone number for households through the fiber optic.
( cell phone not needed,
or cell phone access could be connected to the home wifi ( or when traveling, automatically connected to provider cell towers ).
The underground fiber optical connection from house to neighborhood optic lines can be weaved underground around existing facilities.
( it could get cut if something new is added. )
Be careful of empty promises that the transition from copper to fiber is easy and quick.
From experience, ( not saying company name )
Overall, from deciding to make the transition from one to the other it took 6 months and numerous phone calls to some people that did not know what they were talking about – but were confident they knew.
Patience is a virtue.
There are a few in the corporation(s) that have the total know how, and there are a lot of co-workers that only know a narrow aspect of the total transition process,
including the correct various toggle switch settings in the optic / digital system so that everything operates smoothly.
The customer does not know the names or roles of the myriad of team members
( comfy ‘sales’ said it would take 3 days )…
the real 6 mo. transition did get done in the field,
3 years ago. Not fun. But worthwhile.
Maybe the transition process has become more efficient since that time. ( but 6 mo. is not what corporate would want to openly ‘sell’ to its customer$).

One has to keep an eye on these guys. ATT was coming around our neighborhood a couple of years ago to install fiber.
We caught them trying to take a shortcut through our yard for which they had no easement.
They had to take a different route.
Most folks private taps (along private property) into public water line (along a street)
does not an easement.
The same may be the case for private taps into the sewer and gas lines.

And the cost to replace the private line (outside of the easement), should it fail, is the private property owners cost.
The cost is included the price of house sale.
A replacement cost is not included in the price of a house sale.
A lot of buried utility lines last a long, long time. (but not forever)
Usually, private property owners have the free will to decide whether
they want a utility (at a usage price determined by the utility), or not.
[ and they may say, the connection is ‘free’, but the cost is often built into the usage fees. ]
Landlines are going away. Too expensive to maintain.
The solution being offered is essentially cell service that continues to use your current phone number, and still allows you to plug in landline phones into your house wall outlets.
If you have access to fiber optic internet service, that’s the way to go for your internet service. And then just accept that phone service for you will either be cell, or “voice over internet”, something all internet companies like Xfinity and Charter offer —- and you keep your existing number 😎

lonestar, I am in North Texas (5 miles from the Red river). I have 360 Broadband out of Durant, Oklahoma, and they have a satellite office in Leonard, Texas. They may have more satellite offices elsewhere, but these two are what I am aware of. They are a great internet provider and are not costly. Are they available in your area of Texas? Check into their availability. Also, they are very “customer service” oriented by constantly updating me through emails of their service disruptions, when they are doing maintenance, etc. They try to do maintenance at off times to eliminate customer’s disruptions.

Good you are looking into this. Separate you homephone service from your internet service.
Voice (aka home phone) is really just yet-another-data-stream anymore. You might consider getting basic internet from someone other than ATT (even Starlink or 4G/5G home internet link) and then, transferring your home phone number from ATT to a simple-to-setup VOIP provider. That way you own your phone number – not ATT.
I did this a long time ago. Now have a VOIP account can and access my “home phone” service (incoming and out going calls, voicemail and even text messages) from a plain old phone (via ATA adapter), a cellphone, a laptop app, even a web browser. It all works the same as at home wherever I go – just need wifi.
A cheap ATA adapter can plug into your existing house copper wiring and oldschool phone jacks and you can use any old phone and not notice any difference.
I am not recommending anyone but stay away from Zoom, GoogleVoice and other big-tech aligned services.

Yes, inside the house, there was no change to the house wiring. All phones work as before.
[ it did take some thinking by the fiber operator (communications team) on how to get that to happen, but once that clicked ( after months of conjugating and working with the prior copper land line operator) in the mind,
then in a matter of minutes it all seamlessly worked.
( one new fiber optic line… with both higher speed internet wifi (and hard connect internet option) and functioning separate land line phone that is interconnected within the house to multiple phones). And, after 6 months, just 1 bill and consistent, reliable service…
other than separate internal computer hiccups often fixed with uhhh… re-boot etc.
( to save data etc. disconnect comp from elec. during lightning storms etc.)]

Evidently in the northern hemisphere, the StarLink dish needs to face north whereas in the Southern hemisphere it needs to face south. My house is open to the north….no trees to inferfere.
We have about 90″ opening to north, only issue i had was the installer, not getting here till a week after the scheduled appointment , I could of done it myself, except my wife didnt think I needed to get up on out roof!. Worry Wart! you turn 70, then new game!

I have 125ft oak trees across much of my property. If I were to set up starlink, it needs to be roughly 125ft from all those trees to reliably see the satellites in summer. That leaves exactly two spots that I can put a starlink terminal.

The date is August 20th, 2032.
We’re nearing the end of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s first term as president.
The wave of naive optimism that swept her into power has faded. But the damage is done. With a majority in both the Senate and House, the Democrats made big moves.
First they eliminated the Senate filibuster. No more 60 votes needed to pass most legislation. Now a simple majority will do. The political equivalent of a nuclear first strike.
Then AOC’s coalition created two new states: Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico. That’s 4 more Democratic Senators, and additional seats in the House.
The Supreme Court was quickly expanded from 9 to 13 justices. The number of justices has changed before, and there’s no hard and fast rule in the Constitution.
Justice Clarence Thomas, the court’s last Constitutionalist, retired in 2028 due to health issues. So the highest court in the nation has 5 new neoliberal judges.
ICE was abolished almost immediately. Immigration, both legal and illegal, is out of control. Another 11 million illegals have entered, mostly from Latin America. And 4 million visa workers. Another 4 million refugees and “asylum seekers” from Africa and the Middle East.
All this immigration undercut American workers’ wages, drove up real estate prices, took over small towns, and drained social welfare programs.
Green cards are now granted to immigrants who have been in the country for 3 years, regardless of how they entered. Citizenship and voting rights after 6 years.
The Democrats quickly set themselves up for a permanent majority.
Fruits of the Revolution
The unemployment rate hit 18% this year, even with all the book-cooking. AI, outsourcing, and poor leadership have taken a toll.
The federal deficit hit $5.3 trillion. The stagflation which began in 2029 shows no signs of letting up.
Inflation is running at a 16% clip. A gallon of gas costs $11.34, and diesel is $15 if you can find it. A third of American oil refineries have been shuttered under new environmental regulations.
Anyone worth more than $1 million faces an annual wealth tax of 3%. Family businesses are sold at firesale prices. Wealthy Americans flee the country, taking their assets with them.
Power blackouts are common in big cities. No new generating plants have been built, and data centers continue to tax the grid. With copper trading at $30 a pound, thieves rip out cabling anywhere they can find it.
The Green New Scam reached new heights. Billions of dollars were handed out to politically-connected crooks to build high-speed rail, electric vehicles, and “carbon-free” energy. It’s a total writeoff.
Biden-era censorship on social media platforms returns.
‘Equality’
Households earning less than $80,000 per year now receive Universal Basic Income (UBI) of about $30,000 a year. Barely enough for a family to live on.
UBI was celebrated by the masses early on. But the lack of motivation to get up and work creates a pervasive malaise across the country. Tent cities sprout up like weeds. The scourge of drug addiction worsens.
DEI returns with a vengeance. All of President Trump’s executive orders were reversed in the first month of AOC’s term. Companies are punished harshly if they have too many white male executives. Diversity quotas are enforced with an iron fist.
Universal healthcare went live in 2030. If you thought the old system was bad, this is a nightmare. Patients often wait a year to see a specialist. Need a scan? Tough luck.
Healthcare fraud reaches new levels as criminals target an exploitable system.
It’s been a tough few years. Yet AOC is still on track to win a second term. Millions of new immigrant voters will be the deciding factor.
Back to the Present
I wrote this piece as a thought experiment, pondering what could happen if Dems sweep Congress and win the presidency in 2028.
Honestly, this scenario isn’t all that crazy. It could well happen.
The Republican party needs to get their act together, quickly.
Trump really needs to resolve the war with Iran before midterms. It’s incredibly unpopular with independents and the libertarian-leaning right. If he doesn’t, the chances of a socialist sweep rise significantly. And as I explained above, the consequences could be catastrophic.
Heaven forfend.
Frightening and entirely believable.
You don’t even mention the worst thing, if you thought the political weaponizing during the Corpse’s term was bad you ain’t seen nothing yet.

Christmas in July is good for that… so get out all your blues & whites & sparkly snow-&-glitter-covered cards from Christmases Past and *feel the cold in your mind* while you remember times & experiences of actually being so cold you wished you could feel any minutely-slight-sliver of warmth; solid nose & numb toes.
