In a series of posts on Truth Social, President Trump has announced that a deconfliction deal with Iran has been agreed.
It appears the blockade was successful in finally convincing Iran they had very few options. Additionally, as we all well understand here, the blockade was halting oil shipments to China. It is very likely that Beijing was also putting pressure on Iran to reach a deal.

I loved the “You’re not blockading the Strait, We are blockading the Straight” move. President Trump is simply one of the best to ever do it.

NATO was militarily stronger for 40 years without the French after De Gaulle withdrew France from the NATO military structure in the mid-60s. (I think it was Sarkozy who brought France back into NATO’s military structure.) Living in the Saar in the early 1980s, I used to ask my German neighbors why the French who were not part of the NATO military command structure still maintained bases in Germany? “Army of Occupation” was their sharp retort. And while they hated the Frösche my neighbors laughed at them, too, telling me only French tanks had back-up lights! (Who ever said Germans have no sense of humor?)

Iran cannot open what they do not control. Iran rather announced “no attacks” on any user of the straits.

Last I heard, British ships do not function in warm waters. It will take a while for the dead-enders to cleaned up in Iran. I see in the news that citizens with knives have begun cleaning up the IRCG.
This is great news, that the Straits will be open, for a time at least. Let’s see the markets settle and oil futures nosedive a bit, which will enhance world energy security and take the pressure off consumer prices.
But allowing the Iranians to tie all this to what is happening in Lebanon was a mistake. Israel was never at war with Lebanon – it was at war with Hezbollah, which, unprovoked, began lobbing hundreds of missiles at Israel, at Iranian instigation. Hezbollah has not agreed to anything and it is fanciful to think that that terror organization will feel bound by anything negotiated by the Lebanese government, which it holds in absolute contempt.
And what will Israel’s response be, when Hezbollah begins lobbing missiles again? What would the response of the U.S. be in such a situation? Why does the world always expect the Israelis to hunker down and tolerate what no other self-respecting nation would tolerate, including the U.S.? Because, it is believed, they are tired of being attacked as aggressors? They are used to it. No matter what Israel does, if it does anything but lie down and die, they are treated as the aggressor, no matter how many Israeli citizens are killed in any provocation. No one will look after Israel but God and Israel.
Let’s pray for the peace of Israel, the Middle East, and all the suffering people caught in the middle of these wars of hatred.

The UK and France are not belatedly trying to help. Their goal was to sabotage Trump’s success, but they are too late! They were planning to escort ships (including ones from Iranian ports) through both the Iranian and the US blockades.

Some reports were saying that without the ability to continue selling oil that their infrastructure would be permanently damaged in as little as 13 days.

Here’s a second thought and post on this news: With President Trump having two plus years left I wonder if the democrats, gaining seats in the Senate and House, then getting the presidency coming up will negate the efforts and wins Trump has provided our country…will they move in a destructive direction or put in place decisions leading to negate the gains and realignment we are about to achieve?
