Trump holds the bigger hand, what is two weeks. If Iran acts stupid, goodnight, Iran. Any aggression from Iran bombs away, with no warning.
Another question who is really running Iran. IRGC or Civilian authority. If its the IRGC you get military dictatorship. If its Civilian Authority with regular military backing the country might have a change at normalcy. My opinion Iran will have an internal civil war between IRGC and Military, plus all the other factions inside Iran.
The IRGC has all the guns and bombs.
Maybe at one time they did, but not some much now. The Saudi intelligent has said the IRGC is cry a river because weapons are being stolen from their armories and army bases. Plus, the borders of Iran are wide open and unmanned. People are not being paid the banking system has collapsed. More going on than bombs dropping out of the sky.
Don’t know what will happen with these terms of agreement, especially in the coming months. One thing I do know for certain: Iran has been utterly destroyed reputationally. They had no decent propaganda machine and thus lost the narrative war…when you have to refute a narrative, you’ve already lost the plot. Not sure who was in charge of the prop machine for Hamas, but they really knew their stuff and got out ahead to set the narrative, control it, and never let it go. Not so for the IRCG.
They looked so bad that at one point I thought ‘this looks like the country is run by rabid dogs.’ Every time some politico comments “Iran is the great and once powerful Persian empire” it’s immediately dismissed as fake history in my mind.

The ceasefire exists to give the Iranians a chance to get their act together and figure out what they’re really going to do. Today, it’s just a bunch of military organs working with no coherent direction. Of course their ceasefire response is a bunch of impotent yapping. This two-week span will give them a chance to get reorganized and regain some coherence. It also gives US & Israeli intelligence a chance to see who pops up and can be targeted, should they decide to continue fighting. Trump already said a few weeks ago that this was always the plan: wipe out the mullahs, negotiate with the replacements. If the replacements won’t deal, wipe them out, too. We can force the establishment of a rational government, but it requires annihilating all the irrational death cultists.

Could this ‘new chapter’ in the interference of countries attacking other country’s officials given Trump pause to contemplate??

Two weeks can provide irrational Iranis with many opportunities to do mischief. If I was an oil tanker traversing the straits, I’d be very careful.
No one has command and control of Iran today. There are only factions scrambling to get their items on the “list”. The disgruntled will continue firing off what they have while others try to taqiyya their way to a deal.
Give it 72 hours. And make sure Iran/Oman don’t collect fees for passage in the meantime. Then give it 10 days to solidify. I don’t think it will look anything like today’s speculation.

Does anyone remember the media reporting Iranians chanting death to America while they burning our flag? Or when the Intel agencies reported there were Iranians threatening to kill our President here in the US? And anyone aware of a recent report on justice.gov where Iranians hacked major corporations? I’m not a genius but the representatives of Iran did not wish us well. If we had the prior administration would all of this been ignored? We don’t get all of the information, and I know President Trump would not have acted if he didn’t assess along with our military leadership that this group is a threat worldwide. To those who are using this as an opportunity to push for impeachment again, I just see politicians who failed us prior to President Trump and my guess is they are losing funds.
But our tax dollars continue to support Israel’s incessant bombing of innocents which will undermine the ceasefire.
