Senator Tom Cotton is the Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI), and in that position Cotton is an intelligence Gang of Eight member who receives regular updates and briefings at essentially the same level as the President.
Senator Cotton states that from everything he has seen and been briefed about, Operation Epic Fury continues to proceed on a timeline that he feels is confident to accomplish the task in weeks, not months. WATCH:

My lib “friends” ( an always dwindling group) want to draw some cockamamie Vietnam connection. Tell me, “hope your son doesn’t get drafted…”
I tell them #1: the military could be a great option for him.
#2: We should have stepped up to this battle years ago. If we don’t fight them there, my son will be fighting them here.
Among other (social, emotional, intellectual) retardation issues, these libs suffer from a severe misunderstanding of time.
This isn’t 1918. The military is far too technical and sophisticated nowadays to take just any yahoo off the street and put him in uniform. It takes months and months of training to just to get qualified to get to a unit. These “hope your son doesn’t get drafted” types are ashholes, just trying to start an argument.
That said, your two points are spot on.
“This isn’t 1918. The military is far too technical and sophisticated nowadays to take just any yahoo off the street and put him in uniform.”
I’ll say. Obesity rates amongst American males are abnormally high. It would take a while to whip the boys into shape.
Men (age 20+): 39.2%
Men ages 20–39: 34.3%
Might be good for them to enlist.
The Fat Boy program existed in my time. I had 2 ovarian cysts, and went from a size 10 to 12. I got put on it. I see these overweight and sloppy looking sailors now and want to throw the grooming standards book at them!!
ditto 🙂
And they would have been drafted to Ukraine if the Libs had won. The denial continues to stun.
No offense; but today’s military is brimming with DEI low IQs, out-of-shape physically weaker females being carried along by the men just like you see in the police forces around the country, etc. Give me those tough young WWII type men that grew up laboring hard on farms and vocational city work. They were in shape, had developed a mechanical aptitude, and were directed by grown men…not a bunch of Karen the out of shape screechers in the rear with the gear.
Honestly; if the decades of offshoring U.S. jobs to foreign nations, outsourcing U.S. work to foreign firms, insourcing of foreign-born labor into the U.S., combined with the rise of next-gen AI/rapid automation/robotics hadn’t destabilized the domestic labor market in the private sector for so many native-born Americans the public-sector U.S. military would be having a tough time finding eager young male recruits. Sad to say, but a shitty private sector is what’s holding them aloft.
No offense taken. There was a time when the Army post-Vietnam, had a drug problem, a race problem, a draftee problem, a weight problem, and a female problem (pregnancies and distraction). The first two were pretty much taken care of by Gen Colin Powell’s leadership. The all Volunteer Army took care of the draftees. The overweight was taken care of (I believe) over time (chaptered out). The female “integration” problem likely still lingers. I’m sure the Biden era didn’t do the much to enhance military readiness. Regardless, special and elite forces have gone unaffected (as best I can follow), and they do a lot of heavy lifting in today’s scenarios (Marines, Navy and AF, too). The Sec War is taking care of the DEI problems within the total force.
There’s still a weight problem and worse, Biden allowed mental health problems in to the military and they aren’t going anywhere. My husband has had patients who had multiple suicide attempts prior to enlisting- they were told by the recruiter not to say anything about them. He can’t figure out why they aren’t being chartered out, but they’re still in.
Spot on. That’s all our army needs – a bunch of screaming karens who think they know everything. Our boys would have to be toughened up just to deal with them – let along our war adversaries. Not sure which is worse.
Anyone who opposes war is a retarded lib.
John McCain hearts your comment.
Anyone who opposes ever using military force even against evil is………..
I feel I compelled to post this again, Monti.
From a quiet, wise man who understands, and says so.
I fear not everyone understands the depth of evil we are engaging. I say as well, if those who who take the opposite view have read what terrible, inhumanity and monstrous acts the Iranian mullahs have ordered and carried out on their own people as well as others which I have….
It seems, tragically, far too many have not.
When the situation dictates, men must stand up spit on their hands and slit some throats or their family will perish.
True when it was written and before, now, and in the future if needs be.
Western/Christian civilization is, as always, in the crosshairs of the prince of this world such as we’ve not seen in a long time. And I think that’s the greatest problem. Our peace was only temporary, as historically all periods of it have been. And there are generations which haven’t been taught this and therefore are incapable of divining the existential dangers we face.
President Trump, spared in Butler when by rights he shouldn’t have been, and a few of his chosen lieutenants see it. He knows. And for the sake of this nation is doing everything humanly possible to metaphorically execute as Mencken succinctly wrote. He is the only President courageous and focused enough to follow through.
(Now, if he can be persuaded to bestow the Presidential Medal of Freedom upon. Dr Sowell…)
Miss Betsy, true words.
I fear though that a bigger enemy than Iran is right here within the confines of the United States and based in the congress in DC. Their confreres are the deep state and their soldiers are Antifa, BLM, illegals, Code Pink, Democratic Socialists and many, many more.

May I add Charles Martel, dear Eagle, to your fine list?
I do agree with you, my friend. As did the Founding Fathers…enemies foreign AND domestic. Our foreign enemies we can see and easily identify, no problem…
Domestic?
They’ve infiltrated and are embedded everywhere, often posing as something they are not. I am speaking of Congress now. They practice the art of political taqyyia. Baldly and with guile campaigning.
as one creature, only to drop their façade immediately after securing electoral victory. State/Federal, it doesn’t matter at what level.
Wish it were not so.
I’m fresh out of words…
Money is great persuader! Funny how newly elected are easily persuaded to the Left! Once you take the money, THEY OWN YOU!

I would go again if called!!
Why use sarcasm? Can’t you sustain your opinion?
Go ahead, maake your case in favor of Iran. Don’t be afraid.
John McCain is your character witness?
How he treated his first wife says all I need to know about him.
‘If we don’t fight them there, my son will be fighting them here.‘
Whether we fight the Islamic Republic of Iran and its supporters there or not, Islam is spreading in the US and EU.
What would your son be fighting here, and how?
Are you suggesting that Iran would militarily invade the US?
Some of the posts in CTH strain credulity. Psyop contractors seeding COINTEL, or just simple-minded clamor?
The problem isn’t fighting them. It’s fighting with pin pricks blowing up trucks. If start a war without accepting that it’s going to be ugly you shouldn’t have started it. Germany carpet bombed Rotterdam after the Dutch had surrendered.
According to my calculations its Here, There, Everywhere. The Battle will be a swirling battle. Note: the illegals will fight on the other side from real Americans.
<My lib “friends”…>
Warning …. danger …..
Hey Tom
Really liked your comment.
I don’t have any lib “friends” and can count on one hand my true friends but you’re spot on about their issues.
Operation Mockingbird has been a huge success in America and here is a current example I can show here.
I typed in “Operation Mockingbird” in my Brave browser and it goes “Aw Snap, something went wrong”. Like hell it did!
When I switch to Safari and type in the exact same thing it brings up all the sites, no problem.
If I hadn’t followed Sundance for over a decade I would have had no idea why this discrepancy occurred.
Now I know, Now I know, Now I know oh, now I know oh…..Listen to the wise man.
“If we don’t fight them there, my son will be fighting them here”
“If we quit Vietnam, tomorrow we’ll be fighting in Hawaii, and next week we’ll have to fight in San Francisco.”
I was in Vietnam. Iran is NOT Vietnam. I never heard any Vietnamese say “Death to America” when I was in Vietnam. Maybe, “Yankee go home,” but NOT “Death to America.”
Unfortunately that used to be the case.
Now it’s, “if you don’t fight them here, your son will be fighting them over there.”
I got to trust my PotusTrump…..we destroy Irain or they destroy us
Should have taken care of Iran in 79 .
The Marines in Iran got stomped in ’79. 🙁
Ridiculous comment. They never even got into action, thanks to Jimmy the peanut brain.
Yes, ridiculous and insulting to every U.S. Marine living and deceased!
There are claims that Operation Eagle Claw was micro-managed and hamstrung from the beginning by Carter and his incompetent advisers.
Bad luck with weather and with the helicopters (great criticisms abound on that topic), along with the complexity of the plan, led to disaster.
So, no, the Marines did not “get stomped” in 1979. The mission was aborted by Carter before any Iranian forces were met!
Poor choice of words. They died because of incompetent leadership.
I was in the Marines in 79. We were confined to base and expecting to go at the time but Carter folded once helicopters crashed.
Shdv nipped it in the bud in ‘76.
Shut up pass the save act! Oh you’re on vacation for Easter. Why don’t you make a motion to adjourn so Trump can make appointments. Dill weed.
REVEALED: SEN COTTON TIED TO ANTI-TRUMP NGO GETTING MILLIONS FROM USAID Senator Cotton sits on the board of International Republican Institute, which reportedly received $130M in taxpayer money last year—much of it from USAID. The group actively works against Trump’s policies while funding UN refugee programs. IRI spent $12M on travel and $14M on “benefits” last year. They even provide housing allowances, according to their tax forms. Now Cotton’s blocking Trump’s DOD pick (Hegseth). Funny how that works.
“Who is Tom Cotton’s wife? Meet Anna Peckham Cotton, a former CIA officer who served as Assistant General Counsel at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and as Deputy General Counsel at the National Reconnaissance Office. Given her background, it’s reasonable to ask whether Tom Cotton is influenced by her past roles in east Asia?”
“Thick as thieves.
You can trust Cotton as far as you can throw him, i was going to say say far as you can spi, but that would be a waste of spit and it’d be more fun the throw him…metaphorically of course.
Have a sinking feeling that appointments to such boards is how McConnell has maintained control over the decepticons that Sundance talks about….
I recommend this podcast. It discusses other aspects of what is going on. Gen. Holt and EM Burlingame
Tom Cotton doesn’t seem to be aging at all.
When you lay down with dogs…you get up with fleas…sorry Tom,,,
The Candied Cotton is incredible nowadays. Does Tom Cotton need a reality check or has he snorted the helium that TMSC needs to run its computer chip making factories. The bulk of their helium comes from the Persian Gulf you know. Of course I’m just talking urea. Let’s move along… Nothing is happening here. There is no way a significant part of world will be starving after this years harvest time….. everything is going according to plan…

The world released 400 million barrels from strategic reserves to cushion the oil shock.
That sounds like a lot until you remember Hormuz normally carries 20 million barrels a day.
Do the math.
Twenty days of normal flow eats the entire emergency stockpile.
By early to mid-April, the stopgap measures run out.
Countries already rationing fuel will run dry. Countries that aren’t rationing yet will have to start.
And here’s the part that keeps getting worse.
Iran hasn’t just closed the Strait. It’s been destroying the energy infrastructure of its neighbors.
Analysts estimate up to 10 million barrels a day are offline from shut-in production and damaged facilities.
That capacity doesn’t snap back the moment Hormuz reopens.
Bombed refineries and gas plants take months or years to repair.
Markets are pricing in optimism that a deal happens soon.
If it doesn’t, and the Strait stays closed past mid-April, expect oil to spike well beyond $115 and stocks to fall hard.
The next two weeks will tell us whether the financial calm was justified or just denial.
I am old. And I got drafted in 1966. I signed up for the xtra year at Fort Bragg when they gave me the option of choosing my MOS or leaving it to the Army to decide. So I served an extra year. I did go to Viet Nam but in a not very dangerous situation. Years later I often wonder how so many people my age… celebities, atheletes, politicians, Presidents, musicians (BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN) managed to avoid the Draft. Looking back…I’m really glad I was in the Army…they paid for my College Degree (Finance) and now cover my Healt Care needs…

“Senator Cotton states that from everything he has seen and been briefed about, Operation Epic Fury continues to proceed on a timeline that he feels is confident to accomplish the task in weeks, not months.”
The Iran war began on February 28, 2026. It is now March 29/30, 2026. I think that means we are now into measuring it by number of months.
I picked listening to the interview with Cotton over Holman with Brennan. One question Cotton brushed over was Nancy Mace and others feeling misled about the intent of this war.
Feeling the same here. I thought the war was about ensuring Iran did not have nuclear capabilities. Then I read here last night enough to think that perhaps this war is to also gain control over a lot more than that – Oil supplies as well are now in the equation.
Still not quite sure why more more than 24 hours later that stunned and confused me. Can’t wait for the new Treeper’s to pile on and tell me how stoopid I am. Save your fingers the exercise.

@RyanSaavedra
All of this is a lie, so naturally Megyn Kelly promotes it.
The U.S./Israel did not bomb some drinking “water source”.
They bombed a heavy-water facility, which has NOTHING to do with drinking water.

Going to be a lot of gaslighting on this one.
Only one reason the mullahs needed the deuterium for, breeding tritium in a fission reactor. From there, a key component in fabricating a thermonuclear device.
Anyone still want to claim their goal was not nuclear weapons?
Without a thorough Iranian regime change and a new government totally supportive of all the freedoms craved by the Iranian people, the war will not be a long term success. Such thinking is becoming universal, and I believe regime change was among the primary objectives from the start.
However, the power of 200,000+ well-armed IRGC fighters renders the civilian population virtually impotent. Each day, I understand more clearly why PDJT is staging offshore over 10,000 US troops.
I pray that what I don’t know can prevent a US land invasion and fierce, prolonged fighting that could mirror the war in Iraq.
I am confident in believing that such a situation would be decried by both Congress and a large majority of American voters, and the IRGC would both elongate the war and instigate attrocities against Americans to accelerate and maximize the negativity in the USA.
The atomic bomb and missile delivery threats may be neutralized for at least the short to mid-term future and the SoH may soon be freely passable, but fighting the IRGC is a potential domestic and international political doomsday scenario.
“What now? ” may soon be a highly difficult question to answer.
I am placing my hope in the accuracy of the strongly confident war status statements made by PDJT and the SOS.
We must pray for the best possible, most expeditious outcome. 🙏🇺🇸
