The noise can seem overwhelming at times. There are those who say the U.S-Israeli joint military operation against Iran is a catastrophic miscalculation. There are those who say the operation is strategically succeeding. Many interests even appear to be cheering for the military operation to fail; others want the operation to escalate.
It is difficult to find pragmatic facts about the events without shaped information to promote specific narratives. However, accepting there is a psychological component to the information flow, it seems like the best option to listen to the experts who are conducting the operation.
Giving his first interview since Operation Epic Fury began, CENTCOM Commander Bradley Cooper outlines the current status of the conflict and the elements he notes are of most importance. According to Adm. Cooper, Iran is “operating in a sign of desperation… In the last couple of weeks, they’ve attacked civilian targets very deliberately, more than 300 times.”
“The Strait of Hormuz is physically open to transit,” he said. “The reason ships are not transiting right now is because the Islamic Republic is shooting at them with drones and missiles.” WATCH:

Iran declared the straits are open to all but Israeli and US vessels. They would provide guarantees of safety. Prices to pass however are quite high and they have to have Iran’s permission to pass. Iran began negotiating directly with countries and businesses. There are news articles out there about Iran making billions off the Straits while the war is raging.

Trump just called off the 48 hour ultimatum of “Open the Strait or we go after your power grid”. He said that he is extending the ultimatum five more days because they have negotiations. This before the beginning of the trade market gave a nice decrease of 8% in oil prices.
Then he said: “ Let’s see where the talks with Iran will progress, we had strong talks with them. We reached agreements on almost all points, if the Iranians carry out the things it will end the conflict. We are in contact with a respected figure in Iran. Not the Supreme Leader.”
As a note I wonder who they are talking with. Only the Supreme Leader in Iran can make such decisions and nobody knows how he is doing. Apparently he is badly injured.

It’s just a pause. It will give President Trump and his team the opportunity to see who “steps up” as leaders on the Iranian side and what their goals are. President Trump is scouting the opposition.
My guess is that this small pause will not reveal an “attitude adjustment” on the terrorist side, so the bombings will be restarted before the weekend.
There’s nothing wrong with pausing for the purpose of gathering important intelligence. Actually, it seems to be a wise decision.

Stand down days…Ahh, those good old days of Viet Nam where after so many combat days a break was at hand. Time to relax, enjoy perhaps a good meal, even a cold beverage, get some clean clothes and of course–clean one’s gear for on the morrow the game begins anew–kill the enemy!
President Trump has been at this kind of gaming his entire life–I go with his decisions (he’s not perfect but just look at his track record!). Further, give our warriors a break, a breather, a time to enjoy what they have accomplished.
Pity to the Iranian military leaders and their political overlords who think they can move assets in order to continue this fight. Hatred, whether real or imagined can be so conflicting within one’s immediate reality.
And for Iran, their immediate reality is more pain and destruction…a lot more if they don’t make a deal or play stupid games which Trump has seen so many times during his life!
I was wondering: Barack Hussein Obama and Hakeem Jeffries seem to have something in common; a sincere sensitivity toward Iran and an anti-American undercurrent in many of their efforts. People might be wise to pay attention a name others who wish control over them have…I just think sometimes one does judge a book by it’s cover and for reasons that become apparent after reading it, no?

This interview sounded a lot like most of the military speak one hears when top brass speaks…it is all narrative building.

With regard to President Trump extending his ultimatum by five days…. Is it possible that negotiations are happening with Reza Pahlavi?
Also, this could be a head fake because gulf states and Reza asked that power plants be left alone… because they will be needed when the mullahs/IRGC are ousted. Also, it stops Iran from taking out more energy infrastructure of its neighbors.
