Moments ago, President Donald Trump took questions from the assembled press pool during a lunch with the Trump-Kennedy Center board members.
The full video is below the fold. However, the shorter segment of media questions and answers is highlighted in this video. President Trump was asked about countries willing to support the military escort request through the Strait of Hormuz. President Trump noted an announcement of supporting countries will be forthcoming.
President Trump also noted the biggest beneficiary of the oil from Iran is China, and he would expect those nations who are dependent on the stability of that oil flow to rise in support of the escorts. WATCH:

We suffer similar frustrations with our elected officials who refuse to honestly represent their constituents or hold themselves accountable to execute their oaths of office with integrity and without corruption.
I’m a lifelong Maryland resident and have not had any real and honest representation in federal government for at least a decade and longer by some standards.
Only President Trump alone (and some of his staff) has represented my family’s values and well being.
IMHO the Canadian government cannot continue much longer with its current occupants at the top. It will change by necessity due to the people’s demands at the ballot box and beyond.

I did not transfer phone numbers and only gave my number to people who I liked and bring me joy. A fair amount of family never made it to the new phone. Decades ago an older person in my life said that you can only “afford” the number of friends you can count on one hand. Although that conversation was 50 years ago, I still recall it vividly and came to truly understand what he meant.
I would be a little cautious inviting Xi to send Chinese naval ships to escort tankers headed for China through the Strait of Hormuz. I cannot imagine the Iranian regime would fire on them, although they might by mistake, but I would think escorts for China-bound oil would be safe enough from attack and should not need the Chinese Navy to be on site.
President Trump also should insist that any tankers transiting the Strait of Hormuz not be “shadow tankers” and that the oil on them not be sold at rates that make them cheaper for China because they are paying in Chinese currency. Those days should be over.
