U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer and U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent are traveling to Paris this weekend to meet with the Chinese trade officials. This meeting is in advance of President Trump’s visit to China for direct face-to-face discussions with Chairman Xi Jinping.
Given the recent events in Venezuela and Iran a lot of groundwork must be taking place for the Trump-Xi meeting. Multiple Chinese interests have been impacted directly. USTR Jamieson Greer discusses those preparatory issues as well as the recent announcement for Section 301 investigations and tariffs. WATCH:

I like how President Trump creates leverage our of thin air like no other president before him.
How about releasing the absolute fact that China has been involved in our voting system with tons of proof and penalties financial restrictions be laid upon them massively.
Then remove ALL of their spies in every corner of this country starting with the education system and “Research”
Then the millions of Americans killed by the chemical weapon fentanyl produced by China and shipped into the failed Narco state of Mexico should hold them both accountable.

You forget to mention Canada is also facilitating the importation of fentanyl into the US. Arguably, it could be even greater than what is coming in from Mexico these days.
China works to undermine and corrupt governments around the world. They are a toxic ooze spreading around the planet. They will not go to war. Based on the quality of their collapsing infrastructure problem I imagine this also translates into crap quality military tech as well. And we have had previews on display of what US military tech can do over and beyond that is Chinese origin.
Trump’s military actions not only serve specific US interests but also serve to demoralize and to warn Chinese leadership that they are exposed as inferior and vulnerable.
I expect to see US military posture in the Japan and Taiwan area to increase and strengthen with Japan becoming a bit of a proxy representative of US pressure. Japan has direct interest in opposing China but like everywhere, Japanese politics are filled with corrupted politicians… corrupted by China.
They need a 1,000 percent tariff on anything coming from China either directly or through another country. Now that’s building back better.
Venezuela was the hub for kenetic operation vs the US, directed by China Inc. … and was getting stronger … now blocked off and negotiating with the US.
Note: Colombia and Brazil remain for now .. but need to built-up and $$capital infusion to replace Venezuela.
Note: The Canadian Government is in the midst of offering up Canada as a replacement for Venezuela.
Cuba is … (maybe soon to be was) a major source for proxy manpower used by China Inc., in Americas Hemisphere.
Iran is a major global agent and hub for spreading chaos directly and via proxies. Is now under attack and being seriously degraded … cost of rebuild will be massive, provided the US does not strike the rebuild effort while in progress.
Colombia, Mexico and Nicaragua remain as major NARCO-Terrorist hubs to be engaged directly … if not already happening along side the drug runner boats being eliminated.
China Inc. allies have to be watching with allot of apprehension, while the US batters key China Inc. allies and China Inc. has yet to offer any response supporting their allies.
President Xi is on the ropes because profits for China Inc. are suffering terribly and Board of Directors (the Party and PLA) are considering their options.
I contend that the Russians are sitting on the sidelines … working to end the Ukraine Crisis as well as negotiate some sort of realignment whereby Russia is not China Inc.’s side kick and 2nd fiddle. Period. That’s right the Russians have given Iran NO MATERIAL nor INTEL assistance vs the current US Operation and recall that the Russian Ships headed for Venezuela went home without a word during the US Build-up leading to Maduro’s “arrest”.
President Trump, unlike most “Western world leaders” is overlooking the Ukraine as even being a major issue anymore with respect to REAL Global Impacting Events and Cares … and so is President Putin.
The leadership of BRICS by China Inc. is now in question and maybe up for grabs.
BRICS was built on the back of exploiting the Russians (and USSR’s) 75 year relationships behind the scenes with all its key members … with China Inc. in the lead.
My wife’s info and take on China, Sanae, Taiwan and Japan’s push for militarization is done if what I expected or wanted to see. But some troubling news.
Sanae appears to be suffering from tiredness or fatigue, This job of hers could be the most stressful experience in her life. Can’t be easy. So we worry about her health in the moment.
The Japanese people at large are aware that China hates Japan, that China claims authority over Japanese territories and one of its most will known prefectures: Okinawa island! But day-to-day Japanese people don’t seem bothered by much of it and there is a notable amount of TDS there as well… maybe not as much as here.
Japan is focusing on their Muslim problem. The Muslims I have encountered there were Turkish but I have heard others are there too and have been setting up colonies. (some will say enclaves or some other light weight spin word, but Islam and many Muslims have been very specific about their intent: global expansion and population replacement. That’s colonization or worse.)
The Japanese population decline is obviously still a problem. I told my wife I could probably help with that but she says “no” so there’s that…
Sanae has been working to get changes to Military policy and their constitutional limits. China is a threat. Taiwan is a Japanese partner and ally. I wonder if a military alliance or agreement might be in the future.
Japan is on a tough situation mostly if their own creation. The economic and industrial pushes have gone from a shocking shift in work culture to have completely and fatally normalized it. Men and women work more than they do anything else. This is the primary factor behind population decline and they don’t know how to deescallate a cultural norm. It doesn’t feel like Japanese people want the change likely feeling that it’s good if other people do it because that will leave openings for their own work life advancement. They can’t not think this way. When I was with MHI, Japanese workers sat at their computers with documents open on their screens ‘fiddling’ for hours after the regular office hours. I thought it was work at first but it was also an appearance of work. They just felt they had to be seen there by peers as being there into late hours.
I understand it but I know it’s a problem.
Sanae is feeling it.
My son in laws nephew moved to Japan from the US and is an English teacher. He fell in love and married a Japanese woman and they have children. I thought the Japanese were a closed society, unaccepting of foreigners becoming citizens until I heard of all the Muslims they allowed in. I couldn’t understand it. I don’t agree with China’s policy on murder. There policy on Ughers (?) is along that line but I don’t question why because they do the same to Christians. The fall of any country will be due to lax immigration, but the invasion of the Muslim culture is specified in low percentages. I think once it hits 10% of any population, it’s imminent. The US has been flooded with many cultures, many people now are of some Hispanic descent but they mostly have a Christian background. Bush, Osama and Biden opened the gates to Muslims who are growing at a rate of destruction. Good luck to Sanae and the Japanese people. No govt makes it easy for working families to have children, it is the same for whites (European descendants) in almost all countries.
