President Trump is again urging the Senate to pass the Save America voting act that is a core element of restoring voter integrity in U.S. elections. In his Truth Social post, President Trump notes he will not sign other legislation until the Save America Act reaches his desk.

Having to count on the GOP is fun.
Not really.
This is a crucible. Those that stand with this will survive politically, those that don’t will be forever stamped with this.
Any so called Republican that doesn’t vote for this will end of up like FORMER Rep. Dan Crenshaw who lost his re-election in Texas this month – but now forgotten and barely a footnote in history.
Things might be getting done… If the Senate Republicans combined had 1% of the energy and determination that our President brings to the table every day. But no, for the most part they are feckless, lazy, weak, ignorant, entitled, grandstanding bums.
Exactly!
People actually wonder why Trump votes don’t translate to other GOP candidates. Tis a mystery.
Why include the transgender stuff? Pass the SAVE Act and that issue will soon take care of itself.
Hopefully that is a negotiation tactic.
On second thought, it is a double whammy on upcoming election flyers for incumbents who vote Nay.
Two issues that have over 70% support with independents, Ds and Rs included.
So, a Nay vote would be damaging for all of them.
Sadly, they don’t give a wit what we think, never have.
I’m so disgusted with them all.
Our founders made some assumptions about us that have been proven untrue. We cannot sustain a common govt with such an evil component like the progs. Republics assume we all share a common morals but that’s long gone.
That hissing, shit-eating serpent Democrat James Carville screamed that winning the election is worth any tactic, its non negotiable. That is a threat and should be disqualifying for that vile party.
The Founders made no assumptions. Upon exiting the Constitutional Convention Franklin is quoted as having said “you have a Republic, if you can keep it”. It was also made clear our form of government is for a “moral” people. The founders fought tyranny and won, knowing it could return.
they fought tyranny? We are too, I think?
The main reason they don’t give a whit is precisely because their elections don’t actually require our votes at the present time.
Our elections are indeed fraudulent. This is why we need the Save America Act.
Repeal the 17th Amendment.
If we had voter integrity
So clearly Rando Paul will be a no vote. Am I right?
We should trade the useless Rando for the brain injured Fetterman-and a congressional staffer to be named later.
They are issues that the super majority of American Citizens want.
Why not?
A ban on child mutilatation should be a no brainer.
Why do we need a new law saying we can’t mutilate children?
Isn’t that covered already?
Always a new law, a new council, a new board, a new unit…more, more more.
You can make the penalties greater especially for Doctors so it is no longer profitable for them to do the surgeries. You can also include harsher prison sentences.
All the politicians who are/were physicians in another life should be asked where they stand on this!
Coming soon: Have you or your loved ones been injured by gender affirming care? Dial 1-800-Dewey Skrooham and Howe.
Because we’re stuck with these creatures called liberals who openly advocate for it.
Not only that, but they want you to openly advocate for it.
I read an interesting theory that says as a country decays and begins to fall apart, it passes laws to cover moral holes once imposed by cultural norms. As the cultural rot accelerates, so do the laws.
You phrased it so much better than I did, above. Thank you.
Not making new laws is how Democrats cheat openly, saying ‘there’s no law against THAT’. Laws have to catch up with the continuing degeneracy of the public.
Not when you are one of them. For whatever reason. Leaves alot to the imagination doesn’t it.
Illness, disability, and travel, are all the demons need anyway. They will exploit that and lax the rules and everyone will mail in. You heard it here first.
I once voted by mail because I was going out of town. I had to go to my elections office and fill out a form. I was surprised that I did not get a form to mail in, but rather I had to give the address of where I would be. The ballot was sent to me there. I filled it out and sent it back while out of state. Now I had concerns about whether the form would be late or lost in the mail, but it worked out fine. All this to say, those are some hoops you have to jump through at least. (It angers me that GOP candidates send mail-in ballots to my house.)
And, you shouldn’t have been permitted todo that….sorry, be in town on election day or you miss your chance.
I moved out of Nueces Co. Texas to another state in Sept 2024. I got my car registered, my voter registration done, Homestead exemption filed, DL changed, etc. immediately. In summer of 2025 I got a new voter card (just reissued, no registration required from Nueces Co. Texas. What records were available to Nueces Co that showed I no longer lived in Texas? Only about 10 records. If only the state had computers and smart people like DOGE to figure out this stuff.
Illness, disability, military, and travel are all solicited mail in ballots. The MotorVoter garbage way of registering to vote, then get mail-in ballots is rife with unsolicited. See the difference?
If someone points out “mutilization” then we know that you at least READ what President Trump wrote!
Bless your heart,
It was auto corrected honey.
That and men in women’s sports are the poison pills to give senators an out to vote “no” on election integrity. Keeps Thune from getting to 60.
As it is now, senators can say they support the election integrity part, but the trans portions are “right to choose” type civil rights issues.
If the House had sent 3 separate bills on those issues to the Senate, there would be Senate splodey-heads everywhere because they would have to make 3 hard votes with nowhere to hide
Question — Does anyone know what other pieces of legislation are priorities in the next 6 months for Senate R’s and Senate Uniparty?
Their pay raises
Who needs a pay raise when you can call your stock broker?
Or deep pocket lobbyists…
I believe Big Pharma has one assigned to each of the 535.
Taxpayer paid salaries are just walkin’ around $$$.
They can’t just give the sitting members a raise. No raise takes effect until the next session.
Actually they just ignored the law last time.
95% of them will be there the next session. They know that.
Boom. Same as always. NBVT. That is nothing but vacation time.
Sure! Pork for their constituents they can brag about before the election.
They get that in the continuing resolutions that basically keep all programs on autopilot.
Haven’t heard of them working on much of anything, at least not in terms of legislation, priority or otherwise. They might be too busy planning another dog show.
Don’t forget the ponies!
Nationwide constitutional is somewhere in the hopper.
702?
April
The main FISA provision currently up for renewal is Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).
Current expiration (sunset) date
• April 19–20, 2026
• Congress must reauthorize or extend it before that date, or the authority will expire.
Maybe President Trump already knows this. 👆🏽😎
The big question is what do the Democrats want during that time that won’t get done? A lot of what Congress does is just bipartisan common bills for funding, not everything is fight. Those things won’t get done either and a lot of them are still important to Senator’s districts when election time rolls around. You might see some Democrats ready to cross the aisle other than Fetterman.
Making Jesse Jackson’s birthday a Federal Holiday is out……
Forever, they already have one womanizer with a federal holiday they don’t need another.
Perhaps since they’ve had a dog parade, they need to have a cat parade as not to look as if they prefer one pet over another.
He could always stop the use of government aircraft by the snakes. He has the power to do that. When he is out of office he could tell the top leaders he will spend his retirement supporting the opponents on the ballot. Day after day campaigning in the home state.
Check behind me but FISA renewal is in April unless they hid in another bill. This is the one issue they would go top the hill for.
Their aren’t any. I’m thinking what bills were they gonna try and pass anyway?
When does FISA come up for renewal?
Trump just drew the line in the sand. Finally
At long last.
The simple fact that We even need this legislation demonstrates the magnitude of our shattered Republic. And yet We have traitors who are disguised as representatives for the People who refuse to pass it.
Exactly. So disgraceful. 😡
They refuse because they like to keep their job. Fraud is their friend in every “election”. They are selected, not elected.
My state already has voter ID.
Voter ID means nothing if they can use ID that doesn’t make them prove they are a citizen.
And it’s not just the voter ID it’s the mail in ballots where they do most of their cheating.
You are directly on point x 2.
Photo ID, list of what is acceptable. State issued Photo drivers license. Real ID and passports both have pictures. All three are verified.
true. Dems in Texas used to load up a bus and go from precinct to precinct voting. just before disembarking they would had out DLs to show in order to vote.
150 years ago it would have never gotten to this point because the Congress critters would have feared for their safety if they dared try the things they are doing now.
Was that approved by Wiley?
Problem is, the GOP doesn’t care. They like being the nothing party and reap financial rewards as losers.
WIN-WIN
Yep. McConnell preferred being Minority Leader over being Majority Leader. With the 15 or 16 gnomes that he controlled, everyone had to come to him to get anything passed. His gnomes gave him control over enough votes to meet or defeat the 60-vote threshold. He reaped the rewards without having the responsibilities of being Majority Leader. It is kind of sounding like Thune (one of McConnell’s former gnomes) might prefer being Minority Leader as well.
If the GOP keeps up the good work like they are now, Sen. Thune will get his wish.
As Uniparty Leaders,…. McConnell, Ryan and now Thune all tried to destroy the Tea Party, attacked 45’s agenda from passage, as well as his Presidency and now Thune/company are out to deny 47 his current America First agenda and diminish the MAGA movement, as well.
Do Not compromise with them, it only breeds more corruption of the American voters’ expressed will and GOP leadership treachery to promote their Donors’ agenda instead.
Do not endorse Cornyn, etc.,… make them face Primaries where the state voters determine the outcome of the election. Only then will some Rinos get the picture and begin to play ball with President Trump and pass his agenda.
Old Mitch doesn’t know what day it is anymore.
Can’t a constituent sue to get McConnell removed? It’s absurd that having gotten rid of one dementia patient, so many others still remain in power?
Mitch and Joe will both be eating puree in a locked dementia ward very soon.
Sundance has been saying this for all 11 years I’ve been here.
The RINOs want the minority.
Stephen….your comment got held up in moderation because of the “quotation” mark used in your username. Get rid of it, and you should have no problem.
They couldn’t care less whether anything ever gets signed again.
Congress has already delegated 90% of their legislative duties to the administrative agencies they created. There were two reasons this violation of the Constitution was allowed.
First, Congress stated that members of Congress are too dumb to understand the issues. That may be the first time in history a politician has told the truth.
Second, Congress was supposed to maintain full oversight of and responsibility for the agencies that legislative authority was delegated to. If Congress has done their oversight duty then they should all be prosecuted as co-conspiritors to fraud. If they have not done the oversight then they should be prosecuted for violation of the Constitution and their oaths to uphold the Constitution.
So Crockett might have actually increased the collective IQ of Congress if she had been elected?
That’s a scary thought.
Smart doesn’t do any good when one is also insane and evil.
Besides the Big Beautiful Bill what meaningful legislation has this congress sent up to President Trump to sign?
President Trump shut off the pork, twisting wimpy, wasted, and weak Senate arms— good for him!
For once, put America First you lazy, greedy, self-serving Congressional knaves.
Give the country what it wants, even if only as a means to get your congressional pork flowing again.
Voter ID is reaping some benefits in NC. The long time, entrenched President of the NC State Senate, Phil Berger, was booted by the local sheriff, Sam Page, in his home county. It was a every narrow victory, but it seems to be holding after provisionals were counted. Berger spent millions on his smear ads, but the locals were sick of him. He claimed to be endorsed by President Trump. This is where it starts. Local grassroots.
👍 💯
Right down to the dog catcher.
What about secure voter ID and voter fraud protection is not fundamentally essential to the Constitutional Republic?
We should not even be fighting for honest elections. We should not be questioning who is eligible.
These politicians failing to put on a ballot what the majority wants need to be arrested. If they will not respond to that we go nuclear.
This is a justifiable reason to have every opponent of this bill surrounded by thousands of citizens using their 2a right — just as in Athens Tennessee.
It is unconscionable. Preventing the United States from having fair voting is a hangable offense.
Democrats are at least not afraid to show they are crazy and what they believe.
The real snakes are the treasonous traitors who pretend they are on the side of working average americans, for law an order, constitutional. But in fact they are protecting the elaborate access to Trillions and the facade of true representation.
Aren’t you sick of election season, of continuing to count “ballots” until the Democrat gets “elected”, and every method of fraud used by the Dems? I made a photo of an urn with an “I voted” sticker leaning on it. Shame on any lawmaker who thinks that must stop!
When even the basics of human decency, honesty, and ethics in those offering themselves up to the electorate for public service become moot…
BINGO!!! EXACTLY!!!
In that case I’m sure the senate will be fine with not doing anything.
Yup, they’ll blame Trump! Easy money for them
Every member of Congress believes they get paid to hold endless hearings and investigations to No Where.
Trump just nuked Thune’s talking point that he has to pass other bills!
Fabulous that the President is doing to CONgress what they (and the SINate) often do to him.
You ain’t gonna play?
OK, let’s see who blinks first!
Should be fun to watch, especially after seeing many world leaders blink first after first bashing President Trump.
Another bill like the Patriot Act that is supposed to SAVE AMERICA!
Put more control in the hands of D.C. bureaucrats.
Are we SURE we want this Sundance?
Setting minimum standards for elections puts more control in the hands of DC bureaucrats?
If this was even HALF as bad for Americans as the Patriot act it would have passed before the BBB.
But quite frankly, I see issues with it as I posted above. It should be nearly impossible for a mail in ballot. Too many options. They will say anyone with the broke leg or stubbed toe can count as sick. Sure the numbers will look off; but who’s gonna look into it?
The reason limiting mail-in ballots helps is that the “voter” is required to request an exception for a mail-in ballot.
“Phantom” and deceased voters are not likely to be able to submit requests for mail-in (absentee) ballots.
This change complicates the cheating, adding another difficult step that opens another door to discovery of cheating.
I understand that. My point was that simply having these options, they will be exploited because a RINO OR COMMIE administration won’t look into the abuse.
We really can’t wait for the perfect bill so let’s start here.
Agree read the finished product CLOSELY!
“Voter ID” reads and sounds a lot like “digital ID” where your debit card “prevents” an ice cream purchase when you’re diabetic.
They’ll say all the right stuff like “safe and secure” elections and “national security” and the BIG one “keeping children from seeing porn on line.”
Facial ID will put a human behind every transaction.
That’s a li’l much control.
Just an observation.
At the time of the founding identification was not needed. That is because they had “facial recognition” in place. Everyone working at the polls recognized everyone coming in to vote. Even those that traveled hours or days were recognized. They all still had to sign the register.
Only the men had to be identified.
Women and blacks were not allowed to vote according to federal law.
If I recall correctly, some black men who were property owners could and did vote.
Two entirely different things. The Patriot act allowed the government to spy on US citizens. This gives the federal government no more power, the states still run their federal elections, it just sets guard rails on who can vote. Only verified US citizens. The Democrats tried to give the elections to Congress with their ‘For The People Act’ which would have ferderalized elections while they controlled both Houses of Congress..If that had passed Republicans would have never won another election. This bill is neutral as to party unless you plan to cheat in elections, which is why Democratic politicians hate it but rank and file Democrats mostly support not. Both sides know every stolen vote disenfranchises a voter. Democrats screaming Republicans were cheating when they weren’t is why most Democrats support Photo ID. Their own lies are hurting them.
You know for sure Democrat run states are going to cheat. They’ve got 50 different ways of cheating and use them all in every election. Handing out prepaid credit cards to Native Americans and no doubt others, etc. etc.
It appears to open the door to National ID and it puts the onus for verifying citizenship on the Feds. I know all of this sounds good, but every time a Federal agency is given power to ‘decide’ something it will grow and grow until it becomes a tool of the #DCCrimeCartel
It happens EVERY time.
We should be REPEALING laws; not making new ones.
The path to fix MOST voting fraud is through the Courts. Mass lawsuits over Constitutional right to vote being violated by lax or illegal State handling of elections. Every fraudulent vote is a legal vote being voided. Also, voter fraud should be prosecuted as Treason. The most fundamental part of our Founding Documents is our ability to freely choose our leaders. ANYONE who tampers with that right is committing Treason against the Republic. Judges who wrongly ignore the Constitutional element to Voter Fraud should be IMPEACHED!
We have Constitutional ways of fixing EVERYTHING…..AND YET WE KEEP TURNING TO THE #DCCRIMECARTEL TO FIX IT….AS IF THEY GIVE ONE SHIT ABOUT US.
The fact that there are republicans who will vote against the bill shows that it’s not just the democrats who rig elections.
If Republicans are rigging elections they are really bad at it while Democrats have rigging elections down to a science.
Republicans rig primaries so the “choice” is the lesser of evils.
Also by flooding the ballot with choices so the anti-incumbent vote is watered down and the Swamp Snakes stay it.
The UniParty will test him by passing DHS funding.
Dirtbags.
if UniParty are OK with government shutdown what matters not signing bills?
Stops all of their congressional pork.
Finally! President Trump makes it perfectly clear what the American people want and who’s stopping it. Great President, rotten Congress.
Maybe we can get the SAVE act and Paxton.
Get rid of RINO Cornryn.
As long as don’t get the heretic Talarico.
I don’t think Texas would do that.
He’s a caricature of woke.
Anyone up for a game of chicken?
ABSOLUTELY. BEAUTIFUL. 🤜✝️🤛
I have family that left the City of Chicago due to 1) terrible public schools, run by the Chicago Teachers Union; and 2) rampant election fraud.
The Democrat Party was the only beneficiary of discouraging all the hard-working, patriotic people to leave the city by not doing a thing about 1) and 2).
Praying the RINOs lose their lust for power and money ONE TIME!!! JUST ONE TIME with no strings attached…Cowards
Never happen.
On the Republican side – the lust is for money – the power (or position) is just a convenient way to get it. It’s the other way around on the other side. Which is worse? You decide. However, at least wit the Republicans, the policies are typically better for everyone for the most part.
Voter ID is just the start, we need clean voter rolls, no mail in ballots except for military stationed overseas, get rid of voting machines. The voter rolls are full of phantom and ghost voters who use commercial or false addresses for their residence. For example, a ‘voter’ in California had voted for 20 years their home address was the local college dorm.
I agree, but …
we have many, many already living here with well-made IDs that’ll pass any but the closest inspection.
We also have the problem of not just college students registered and voting at their college towns as well s at home, but many others registered in several places.
I firmly disagree with mail-in ballots for any but active service military outside CONUS, it’s simple to set up voting booths on base and transmit the results to the DOW.
I am elderly, unable to walk or for that matter even stand for any length of time and if I’m not on my death bed, you’ll see me in line waiting for my turn in the voting booth; even if I were unable to use my hands, I’d still push the lever with my nose; mail-in ballots are just too open to fraud.
Tell Georgia that. Why didn’t the voters have a say? They do in Florida.
Absolutely! Make sure Thune knows he will be “primaried” at the first available opportunity if he keeps FA with this much needed legislation. Bring it to the floor of the Senate, or FAFO Thune!
Not going to happen in SD. Like every state the republican party in SD is bought and paid for by big businesses. In SD it is big Ag and “Healthcare”.
Not being sarcastic but is there actually any major legislation in the pipeline that the Senate wants to see signed into law? I haven’t heard that they are working on much of anything these days so not sure as to the purpose of this threat…
36 states already have voter ID laws. Where are all their disenfranchised voters complaining to the liberal media in those 36 states?
Where are all the recently married women complaining? Where are all the blacks complaining? Any other races like Asians and Hispanics?
Nowhere because they don’t exist because no one is being disenfranchised because everyone has an ID.
Common sense people.
Light up Thune’s switchboard with a massive amount of calls and messages demanding he gets the Save Act to the floor for a vote. Implore friends and family to do the same. There is strength in numbers and this issue is critical. MAGA Motivation 🇺🇸
The man should not be allowed any peace in public. Start using the Dims playbook.

Call Senator Thune here —

Rapid City office — (605) 348-7551
D.C. office — (202) 224-2321 or toll free (866)-850-3855
Better yet, call every number and demand he does what the American people voted for.
What miserable excuse is Thune going to use now?
The bill has 50 co-sponsors. So by definition at least 50 Senators want to pass it. With JD available to break any tie, it will pass.
But first it has to get a vote!!!
Past time for Thune to put up or shut up.
All “cosponsors” are not really on board.
They’re blowing sunshine up their constituents skirts. See! I’m for it!!! I cosponsored it! While they’re against the rule change that gets it to a vote.
Getting the rule change to talking filibuster is the problem. There aren’t 51 votes for that.
If the holdouts were treated the way the Democrats treat their members who don’t toe the party line, they could easily get 1 or 2 more votes. For example, the Democrats would tell the holdouts that they will lose that favorite committee assignment that is so good for bringing pork home. Or they will lose campaign funding for their next primary and get a now more favored Democrat to run against them. Strong arm tactics like that to keep them in line. But the Republicans never do that. Too shy or it isn’t being nice or some other nonsense. They simply do not and will not play to win like the Democrats do.
And the thing is, we all know the Democrats will get rid of the so-called “filibuster” (the super-majority requirement that has only existed in its present form since the 1970s) the moment they get back into the majority in the Senate. So why not get rid of it now and then they wouldn’t even need the strong-arm tactics?
It’s not too nice or too shy.
It’s dollars.
Why not get rid of the filibuster now? The answer is obvious: The Republicans (in name only) have no intention of comporting their actions to the will of their constituents.
Not a one.
For the same reason, there is not one CONgressman who will stick his neck out to call for a recess, when only *one* recess vote is necessary to *finally* permit our president to appoint his own cabinet without their approval.
Big Beautiful Bill #2
I hope Democrats go along with passing the ‘Save America Act’.
This way, when Republicans get their rears handed to them in November, they’ll be forced to take some accountability and (maybe) clean up the party.
Many birds especially UniParty Birds….. One Stone.
Has anyone read the SAVE act or is this another one of those “we won’t know what’s in it until it passes” kinda things?
Yes, and the summary is quite a short read:
https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/22
“This bill requires individuals to provide documentary proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections.
Specifically, the bill prohibits states from accepting and processing an application to register to vote in a federal election unless the applicant presents documentary proof of U.S. citizenship. The bill specifies what documents are considered acceptable proof of U.S. citizenship, such as identification that complies with the REAL ID Act of 2005 that indicates U.S. citizenship.
Further, the bill (1) prohibits states from registering an individual to vote in a federal election unless, at the time the individual applies to register to vote, the individual provides documentary proof of U.S. citizenship; and (2) requires states to establish an alternative process under which an applicant may submit other evidence to demonstrate U.S. citizenship.
Each state must take affirmative steps on an ongoing basis to ensure that only U.S. citizens are registered to vote, which shall include establishing a program to identify individuals who are not U.S. citizens using information supplied by certain sources.
Additionally, states must remove noncitizens from their official lists of eligible voters.
The bill allows for a private right of action against an election official who registers an applicant to vote in a federal election who fails to present documentary proof of U.S. citizenship.
The bill establishes criminal penalties for certain offenses, including registering an applicant to vote in a federal election who fails to present documentary proof of U.S. citizenship.”
The complete text, as passed by the House is here:
https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/22/text
TY!
You are most welcome!
“…(2) requires states to establish an alternative process under which an applicant may submit other evidence to demonstrate U.S. citizenship.”
I’m from Minnesota, the state that taught all other states to cheat in elections years ago.
If the Federal Government, through this bill, gives states the ability to interpret or establish any process within the bill as they see fit, Minnesota will find some loop-hole, some long ago law never removed from the books, some archaic meaning for one of the words in the bill that they will twist and turn and use against their citizenry.
“Each state must take affirmative steps on an ongoing basis to ensure that only U.S. citizens are registered to vote, which shall include establishing a program to identify individuals who are not U.S. citizens using information supplied by certain sources.
Additionally, states must remove noncitizens from their official lists of eligible voters.”
And who will monitor whether a state run by immoral and corrupt individuals is doing the right thing? Those “elected ” people in St. Paul have been in control for years and we’ve all seen how well Minnesota does with following the law.
The ability per Observers SC text above allows for Right of Private action which I interpret to mean you and I have “standing” to sue for redress. Would want Wethal or another CTH lawyer view for affirmation.
Of course we could pull Boasburg on our case who rules: “Nyet!”
Pass the Act and then burn that bridge when we come to it.
The most important legislation in American history… Watch how fast the Democrat Party abandons illegal aliens after the SAVE AMERICA ACT is LAW! They will support bounties on illegal aliens, I predict.
Understand that feeble Mitch McConnell opposes a talking filibuster… Wonder why?
Because the senate would need to be in session and in ATTENDANCE.
Where’s the 25th amendment for Senators????
Ah, so it begins. I remember posting last year about how Trump will eventually get tired of biting his tongue with the GOP and explode on them. This isn’t exploding by any means, but he’s letting them know straight-up that he tired of their lying bullshit. Good for Trump, and thank you.
You cannot play “nice” with these people. They are 100% aligned against Trump in nearly every way. Their corruption is on full display. Their voters are irrelevant. Their donors and the money hustles are all that matter to them. Where I come from, we call people like that street-whores……
Don’t insult Ladies of the Evening!
They don’t care. Running out the clock on POTUS47 (via midterms loss) will be entirely welcomed.
POTUS should take a different tact and start publicly (and repeatedly/daily) calling out the do-nothing recalcitrant anti-MAGA Senate, including Thune (and his inner circle of blowhards) directly, along with Tillis, Cornyn, China Mitch, and others who are blocking recess appointments, the SAVE act, and other MAGA priorities. Do battle with them publicly and force them to (repeatedly) publicly defend their opposition to MAGA policies.
That’s what (at least, most) MAGA supporters voted for in the first place.
Drain the friggin’ swamp already!!
#NeverCornyn….
#Never everCornyn…..
the way to defeat Cornyn is TURNOUT to vote in the runoff.
Looks like President Trump is painting somebody into a corner with that ultimatum. Let’s just hope it’s not himself.
There is so much going on in daylight, I have to wonder what we don’t know.
Maybe it’s good we don’t?
Problem, reaction, solution. They’ll lead us down the path they want “we the people” to go and then we’ll be willing to accept their pre-determined solution.
They already know where this is headed. We just don’t get to know anything until they have met their solution objective.
Sooo much going on right under our noses, in daylight and at night time.
You are spot on.
Good for him. He always gives people numerous chances to do the right thing.
Anyone, that doesn’t support this needs to be removed from office exposes, both republican and demorats. Go president trump,I not tired of winning.
Don’t threaten me with a good time.
EDIT: It doesn’t matter if he signs or not.
If the President takes no action for 10 days (excluding Sundays) and Congress is still in session, the bill automatically becomes law without the President’s signature.
Yet another demonstration of his
ignorance.
(Article 1, Section 7 of the Constitution for anyone looking for the reference.)
Maybe he is not ignorant at all about the Constitution & is playing them a bit. He can wait until the final hour of the 10th day and Veto the thing & then it goes back to the Congress for another round of voting with a majority needed to overcome his veto.
Buying time & putting the bar higher for the votes to be accumulated to overcome the Veto.
BTW, you sound like a borderline Trump hater with that, quote> “Yet another demonstration of his ignorance” , <unquote part of your comment here.
You sure you in the right place?
Of course, You are welcome to your opinion as well as anyone else, but your statement made as it was, inclines me, and likely more than just me, to think you are not commenting in the spirit of positive vibes, but more as a negative vibe.
…and that is MY opinion of Your opinion/comment.
Courtesy of the 1st Amendment to the US Constitution.
Have a nice day.
He’s going to have to veto whatever lands on his desk because it will become law if he takes no action for ten non-Sunday days while Congress is still in session.
Eventually – funding bills will need to pass before the government shuts down again.
He didn’t say he’d take no action; and specifically said nothing about abandoning the veto power.
He said, “I as President, will not sign other Bills until this [the Save America Act] is passed….”
I suspect the Senators’ purchasers, who have been busily writing the legislation they’re paying good money for, understand the distinction.
And have already begun to remind their upper chamber clients the terms of their understanding.
“On hold” was not one of them.
Finally – some spine!
