2-J’s has passed.
Reverend Jesse Jackson, aged 84, died Tuesday morning according to his family:
“Our father was a servant leader — not only to our family, but to the oppressed, the voiceless, and the overlooked around the world,” the Jackson family said in a statement. “We shared him with the world, and in return, the world became part of our extended family. His unwavering belief in justice, equality, and love uplifted millions, and we ask you to honor his memory by continuing the fight for the values he lived by.” {link}
Jackson is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Jackson, whom he married in 1962, and six children. Jackson ran for president twice, both times as a Democrat, placing third for the party’s nomination in 1984 and second in 1988, marking the most successful presidential runs of any Black candidate prior to Barack Obama’s two decades later.

Jessie Jackson and Barack HUSSEIN Obama – nothing more than race grifters….
Jesse Jackson was a “Reverend” the same way Barack HUSSEIN 0bama was a “Constitutional Law Professor”
I just hope we don’t have to have a JJ federal holiday or JJ month!!
Ya mean, “Black History” and “Pride” months may not be enough?
Hell NO it’s not enough! We should have ALL flags flying at half staff for at least as long as we did for george floyd…
Do like I do, just ignore them.
and like Doctor Jill biden
A reverend the way Obama was a Nobel Peace Prize winner. Or more appropriately….
No-Gel Piece Price wiener. Yeah, cuz he got hisself a piece, we paid a big ol’ price, and Mykul didn’t use no gel when the wiener was involved.
And Jesse is now officially the river-end.
I mean these things “with all due respect.”
Obozo’s only credential was a “Community Organizer “ or some BS such as that.
Pardon,… “I Won” was only a Constitutional Law Lecturer,… never a Professor.
Well……Obama is a little bit more than that…..lets start with being a traitor and the leader of a coup against our country and our sitting President.
He was and is also a sicko gay guy was married to a trans.
Should I go on.
No.
Yes
🎯
Yes
Yes, please. I’m enjoying this! 🤩
Let’s not do this today. Jessie Jackson was a figure in US American history and should be remembered as such.
Relegated to his proper position please. A divisive figure who was waging a war with casualties. The war was just. The casualties were not.
Depends on how that history is written and taught…….. true or fabricated and exaggerated.
I will remember him just as he was.
Mom always said that if you can’t find anything good to say about someone, you should say nothing at all about them. So……
Rainbow Coalition was created by his son’s prism time 🙂
My Dad used to say that. I didn’t always listen to him though.
Master Race Baiter
HE WAS!
Ain’t sure about the race part but no doubt he was a Master Baiter…
Competition for WORDMAN.
Jesse Jackson said this during a speech in Chicago in 1993: “There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery. Then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved. After all we have been through, just to think we can’t walk down our own streets, how humiliating.”
He was trying to convince the Black community to reject rising levels of crime and violence among Black youth. He wasn’t listened to, and his own rising grift using his organization to shake down businesses for millions to avoid being picketed probably did a lot to limit the reach of such messages. He learned much at the elbow of MLK and could have done a lot of good.
It must have been a terrible tragedy for Jesse to find he no longer had to respect his mentor’s ideology and goals for the Black people and could leverage the guilt of white America to fill his own pockets.
And then came Black Lives Matter. The more things change the more they stay the same!
Jesse Jackson was a RINO (Reverand in Name Only)
FUNNY!!
Now do Lil Al Sharpton.
“Denny Crane!”
An observation: Many decades ago, I was in a building in downtown Washington, D.C., & had occasion to visit office space that was soon to be occupied by what I think was called the “Rainbow Push Coalition.” In Mr. Jackson’s future office, there were dozens of framed items that had not yet been hung on the walls. Every image, without exception, was of him.
I’m shocked! Shocked!
Now that is funny …
PRESIDENT TRUMP
My favorite Jesse Jackson memory is when he said (into a live microphone) while waiting to be interviewed on Fox News regarding Barack Obama “talking down to black people.” Jackson declared, “I want to cut his n_ts out.” LOL!!!
I can’t remember what valJay “The Obama Teleprompter” said, but, shortly after – JJ’s son was going to jail.
Chicago Justice, I mean, Revenge.
Yes: and JJ Jr’s wife too. Also grifters.
OMG!!! I never knew he disliked Obama.
It’s not surprising.
For JJ Obama was essential a total eclipse.
Not that I have ant sympathy for JJ; but I can understand why he was pi**ed. I can recall seeing him among a crowd milling around taking in that Obama had just won the 2008 election, and JJ was as mad as a wet hen.
A very honest farewell to a flawed man, who could have done much more than he did, had he not allowed his greed and ego to interfere with his calling.
>> “who could have done much more than he did,”
Maybe theoretically, but in JJ’s case I am not so sure.
Classy reply by our president!
Sundance: Well, that’s all I have to say about that
Jesus:
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
Yes sir.
It is tempting to judge another by his fruits, be they sweet or rotted.
I am guilty of this as I suspect most of us are. But we each one have our own rap sheets for which one day we will be called to account.
It is this certain knowledge which prevents me from usurping the powers of the Almighty and His judgement for eternity on another’s soul.
I am censorious of Mr Jackson’s rhetoric which didn’t heal. But he was in no way by himself in this regard.
I’ve tasted my words and considered…and here I leave them unspoken.
Except to say may the good Lord be as merciful to him as I earnestly pray He will be to me.
I always appreciate your thoughtful words; thank you.
It is mandated in the New Testament that believing Christians be “fruit inspectors” only. We are not to speculate on other people’s salvation status, however. Only God knows.
So true.
He will be rewarded according to his deeds. That holds true for all. Enough said.
Only if he never repented and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
Jesus paid for the sins of all who repent and trust in Him.
Everyone who does not, WILL be rewarded for his own deeds, but won’t like the “reward.”
True that!
Remember the Ten Commandments! Which was barred from public places!
My sins have been paid for by my King I thankfully accept his free gift Freeing me of all ive done. Repented and try to treat people as I would want to be treated.
Jesse was a hateful person who ran around as an ANTICHRIST doing nothing but stealing killing and destroying for his master SATAN.
Jesus was very clear on not being deceived.
I mean you no ill will here simply pointing out my view.
I will judge no one as Jesus is the one who has been charged with that duty as he will do our Fathers will.
Sticking our head in the sand to give this nasty person a good review could entice others to jump in and fill his void.
Sheriff Lamb has content on You Tube that shows the cop video of many arrests. It shows the folks breaking the law being arrested mostly the black population who is filled with hate towards Whitey and the LEOs if they are white LEOS they hate them that much more. Jesse could have healed so many but he chose to blame Whitey and the Police for the Blacks who break the law and get arrested. He could have chose to tell those who would listen that EVIL comes from ones heart not from the Cop who arrested them for breaking the law.
when we have a major problem and we try and cover it up instead of hitting it straight up, we can’t fix the problem in this. Jesse Jackson was no more than a problem creator so that he could profit from the problems he created by making people think he was fixing the problem when the whole time the problem was within. We get blamed for everything under the sun. I have lived a peaceful life, never being arrested at work every single day and pay my taxes so the government can give it to others who don’t wanna work. I’m not trying to be a jerk. Just trying to get people to open their eyes on this. God bless you. I really do enjoy your post.
Amen Sister Betsy. Still can hear Rush saying the Reverandd Jeseeee JACKsonnnn… 😉😂
Paul warned about those who preached a different gospel not the gospel of Christ and the response “let them be under God’s curse.”
Jesse Jackson (when you read that please hear how Rush said his name 😉
Was a racist to the core. Bragged about spitting in white peoples food when he was a waiter at the Poinsette Hotel in his home town. He became a well known person in the world of politics, but he never showed me anything other than snake oil salesmen mentality of current events. A founding member of the race grievance industry.
I used to have ill thoughts about people that are so false and dishonest. Still do actually, but a few years ago, reading about the Exodus, it sank in the God hardened Pharoah’s heart in order to have reason to unleash the plagues and ultimately the Passover. It was God’s will that Pharoah to become stubbornly mean.
Pray for your enemies.
Pray for your enemies indeed.
When I heard Jackson suffered from the same disease that took my mom, I prayed for him. No one – no matter how vile they may behave relative to my views deserves that kind of ending.
RIP Mr. Jackson
Wish no ill will on anyone!
Hate the sin, love the sinner, and remember the example of the thief on the cross.
As long as there is life, there is hope for each of us.
Praise God!
Sorry Khan. Said it above without seeing your comment. Rush nailed it though! 😎😁
Why have I never seen this before??
Its actually all so true?
Zappa was WAY before his time!
I am well aware of Mama’s Rules and speaking ill of the dead.
In this case, I don’t care.
Jesse Jackson was an amoral, money grubbing grifter. He intentionally inflicted great damage on our country using “racialism” and “black supremacy” as weapons. The world is a better place today without him in it.
May God’s will be done with Jackson’s soul.
I’m finding that when a bad public figure dies, a worse one replaces them.
For his soul I pray.
For our world I stood in the sunrise this morning and he didn’t.
Good enough for me.
Well said.

Why are we seeing obits of the rich and famous?
I am not bashing Sundance just perplexed why.
Great Book about Jesse Jackson “SHAKEDOWN”
The Reverend Jesse organized a boycott of Chicagofest around 1980. Many people that had attended previously saw gangs and were generally cautious about the Jackson “culture”. After the black boycott there were t-shirts printed that said “Thank You Jesse” because all the criminals and hooligans stayed away.
Taught Al Sharpton how to grift…
In Chicago, he was known as The King of Beers. His son got the Budweiser distribution to White Sox Park/United Center. When it gets messy, just call Jesse went away after he was bought off.
Quite a few years ago, a book was written about Jackson called “Shakedown”. It’s a great read and still very applicable today, although the book is at least 20 years old.
Everything from DEI to Epstein fits somehow in this outline of how Jackson became the preeminent extortion artist and was never ever charged with such. No doubt that he had protection from on-high and I don’t mean God. He was an evil, manipulative, deceitful, scoundrel.
The book is totally worth the long read.
Plus he never met a camera he didn’t like.
He paved the way fir blm extortion.
We lost a true wordsmith.
I am from silicon valley. I loved it when t j rodgers of cypess semiconductor threw him out of his office because he was trying to grift money.
Jesse Jackson shook down businesses in Chicago to feed his Rainbow Coalition scam
whereby he became wealthy
First a race-baiter stole God’s beautiful rainbow for his “coalition”.
… then …
when we think it can’t get worse – the LGBTQUXYZ deviants stole God’s rainbow from the race-baiters and plastered it on their depraved flag.
Obama mentor.
One less race monger in the world.
yes, we still have Sharpton
I cannot speak of Jackson’s standing before our Holy God, but I personally considered him a failure.
For all his speeches and fundraisings he never could “change the oppression of the black people.”
Seemed to me that African Americans should have stopped giving him their “money for social change.”
Certainly there must have been someone who could have accomplished that goal without becoming rich off the incoming money, no??
True change begins with honest forgiveness to historic people who did wrong, not holding historic wrongs over the heads of today’s innocent decendents.
True forgiveness will change viewpoints.
Your last two paragraphs, in particular, make excellent points.
BLM before BLM.
As long as people hang on to sins of the past they will always be slaves. Jesse was a master of hanging on.
His name was fun to say, sort of a sing-song tune to it.
Barack Obama is only half-Black, so he is/was not a true Black candidate/president..
Neither was Kameltoe!
There is nothing worse for a Democrat than an educated American! Remember this fact: Politicians are there to SERVE the people, not CONTROL them! The Constitution was written for “We the people”, NOT for control of the people!!! Control is the result of FEAR! Wake up America!
I remember one of his 1988 campaign slogans was “Run, Jesse, Run.”
People were taking the bumper stickers and placing them on the front of their cars.
😂
I never liked Jesse Jackson. But, maybe he would have been pleased at that. Because I know that this man was driven by what he believed, and by what he thought could bring it about. There was never any place for him on the stage but “front and center.” Like it or not.
driven by money.
President Trump said some very fine things about Jesse Jessie Jackson.
All politics ends when opponents are lowered into their grave.
That’s as it should be.
Wonder what his net worth as a professional extortionist and self-proclaimed Reverend is?
A pros pro stick up man with the Reverend Sharpie.
“Our father was a servant leader” – give me a break! He had a lovely well trained grifter son, too –
I will only say that he did have a good sense of humour in that his appearance on SNL (when it was funny) was well done and he did a great job as a guest host.
“The question is moot!” 😄
Young Eddie Murphy as JJ on SNL was quite funny. “Don’t let me down, Hymietown.”
Just don’t care….guy was a big net negative for our country…..
Nothing more to say. He’s dead.
Well….bye👋
Too soon?
”Well…. Bye” – Classic from the movie Tombstone! Maybe should be ON his tombstone.
Not too soon, Doc.
Happy Fat Tuesday.
President Trump praised J Jackson. So, he does lie sometimes. 😀
if there is a number 1 go along to get along say something thats not true but sounds good time, its when comments are heaped upon the departed
If you talk about someone whose advocacy for reforms; whatever they are it is not lying.
Regardless of the outcome of those reforms, the methods may be inadequate or wrong, at heart the man whose life has largely been consistently for justice; Jackson’s wasn’t for racial justice alone. His presence at Black Lives Matter-era events, including the 2024 Democratic National Convention and a City Council meeting advocating for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war, underscored his enduring commitment to social justice. Though not a central organizer of the movement, he offered moral and symbolic support, framing it as a continuation of the civil rights legacy he helped build.
Jackson founded the National Rainbow Coalition in 1984 following his first presidential campaign, as a political movement to unite diverse marginalized groups under a common agenda of racial, economic, and social justice.
He envisioned the Rainbow Coalition as a broad, multiracial alliance that included African Americans, Asian Americans, Native Americans, Latino Americans, Arab Americans, LGBTQ+ individuals, women, youth, the poor, small farmers, and working mothers.
The coalition aimed to counter the effects of Reaganomics by advocating for social programs, voting rights, affirmative action, and economic investment in underserved communities.
Jackson formally introduced the concept in his keynote address at the 1984 Democratic National Convention, framing it as a moral and political mission to create a more inclusive America.
The coalition later merged with his earlier organization, Operation PUSH, in 1996 to form the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, continuing its work in civil rights and economic justice.
Jesse Jackson continued his activism despite significant health challenges, including a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in 2015 and a later diagnosis of progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), a rare neurodegenerative disorder.
Even as his ability to move and speak was affected, Jackson remained engaged in social justice efforts, participating in Black Lives Matter protests, attending demonstrations, and being arrested during sit-ins.
He made public appearances, including at the 2024 Democratic National Convention, and continued advocating for racial justice, economic equality, and voter rights.
Jackson framed his diagnosis not as a halt to his work but as a call to adapt, stating, “For me, a Parkinson’s diagnosis is not a stop sign but rather a signal that I must make lifestyle changes and dedicate myself to physical therapy.” He emphasized perseverance with his motto: “I would rather wear out than rust out.”
Jesse Jackson influenced younger activists by serving as a mentor figure who bridged the civil rights struggles of the 1960s with modern movements like Black Lives Matter.
Having been a protégé of Martin Luther King Jr., Jackson modeled intergenerational leadership, and in turn mentored figures like Al Sharpton, who described Jackson as “what Dr. King was to him — a mentor and father figure.”
He instilled in younger activists the importance of purposeful protest, teaching that “faith must have feet” and that justice is “daily work.” His mantra, “I am Somebody,” empowered marginalized youth by affirming dignity and self-worth, a message he delivered in schools and through programs like PUSH for Excellence, which promoted education and responsibility among African American youth.
Through organizations like Operation PUSH and the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, Jackson created infrastructure for youth engagement, offering education programs, job training, and platforms for civic participation.
Even in later years, as his health declined, he stood alongside younger protesters, reinforcing continuity in the fight for racial and economic justice.
A man may have made mistakes while advocating for what is good and right working from the heart where good resides. Whatever happens may reflect otherwise when others inject their “interpretation” of whatever the advocacy is essentially about. He faced criticisms being that he was a widely-known public figure; whatever attacks on him as a person because of his actions/activities from men whose judgments will be on themselves.
In God’s Heavenly Court, where true authority resides, is where True Justice and Mercy belongs.
PDJT has every criticisms laid on him for years; justifiable or not; including (most – exclusively), all manner of lies and blame laid on him.
Why are you tying Jessie Jackson’s life to PDJT’s tribute of him; by passing your judgment on PDJT?
Wherein, in PDJT’s words is there a lie?
Reverend? LOL
He rode the coattails of all the good things MLK did. Ultimately squandering it all to become a race hustler and poverty pimp
Boy, rough week. Robert Duvall, and now Jesse Jackson. We’re sure going to miss one of them.
Robert was a great actor……….. Jesse not so much.
60 years too late…the FREELOADING FRAUD!
Bless his heart.
I remember when this carpetbagger with his pal Sharpton tried to shakedown a troubled and distraught Michael Richards for nightclub act that went off the rails. Jackson will not be missed.
The best comments from Chicago….

One of the comments
SCC, please update us on the location of his grave. We should make it Chicago’s most used outdoor toilet!
Jesse Jackson is guilty of coercion. He used the power Almighty God gave him to influence all those Black and Brown sheep to get the Covid Vaccine. As he stated in 2021 “take the vaccine now keep hope alive”
https://abc7chicago.com/post/covid-19-vaccine-rev-jesse-jackson-coronavirus/9470599/
The reverend will have to answer to Almighty God for the deaths and maladies he inflicted on his flock to take the Covid vaccine instead of trusting God and seeking the truth.
Not soon enough!
At least JJ lived long enough to be able to walk down a WDC Street at night and not have to cross it in fear,…. now that President Trump has reduced the crime rate in our Nation’s capitol to historic lows.
He should have publicly acknowledge that prior to his departure.,.. but at least we’ll always remember his “Sam I am” rendition of Dr. Seuss. Ham and eggs, anyone?
