Secretary of Treasury Scott Bessent appeared on Capitol Hill today to give testimony to the Senate Banking Committee. The leftists were well prepared with narrative scripts to advance their opposition agenda. Bessent was unfazed.
In this highlight, Senator Elizabeth ‘Liawatha” Warren complains to Secretary Bessent about the price of things she tripled and quadrupled. Bessent responded by pointing out the Trump administration is reversing the catastrophic damage from the Biden-Warren economy. “I’m-a-git-me-a-beer” was not pleased at the retort. WATCH:

Thankfully, the grocery prices that Biden-Warren exploded, are finally starting to come down thanks to the economic policies of President Trump. Warren’s “affordability” narrative collapses each month the real wages of the American worker rise faster than the trailing inflationary impact of prior policy.
As noted by several economic indicators, inflation on the stuff that matters is in retreat. We are now entering the phase of lower gasoline prices, lower transportation costs, lower overall energy costs and stable domestic market prices. Additionally, exfiltrating illegal alien workers, both underground and above ground, is starting to put upward pressure on American wages and lower overall housing costs.
These Democrat Senators and Representatives are insufferable when it comes to having witnesses speak about things contrary to their talking points.
Arguing economics with Bessent is a fool’s errand. And there’s your fool. Talk about in over your head.
When I search YouTube and see a “FORBES” entry. The headlines always portray the left’s point of view and that is why it has been chosen to be posted. Secretary Bessent’s testimony the last two days has these headlines with the Dems harrasing him and interrupting him with no time to answer.
When you stop to contemplate the likelihood that at least half of these dimwitted, reptilian inquisitors were not elected to office, but fraudulently selected and installed, it is absolutely infuriating. And the economy may be improving slowly, but there is always an undercurrent of anxiety and uncertainty about what will certainly happen if the enemies of the republic are successful in retaking the House, Senate or-God forbid-both!
Every single good thing Trump has done to restore our liberty and prosperity will be undone just as fast as they can accomplish it. Not a hopeful long term outlook. It’s an unending tug of war
If PT would get his DOJ, FBI, on the ball and actually start administering Justice then people may overlook that cost are slow to reverse.
Bessent should have cut loose with his best American Indian impression/imitation while Warren was doing her democrat talking point speech- complete with head dress.
This “so called” senator is probably at the top of the list of the most hateful, disgusting, corrupt, liars. I only was able to listen to about halfway through before my ears started hurting! I really just wanted to smack some sense into her, but it would be a lost cause. It is almost comical, but really pathetic, how she tries to talk to our Treasury Secretary and argue with him. They’ve not a clue how ignorant and downright stupid they look! She just kept interrupting him because she did not want to hear the truth and therefore look and become the fool she is!
I truly wish we could go back to the original concept of choosing our Senators. I am so weary of our “con”gress and the uni-party mentality, if you can call it a mentality , as the majority of them act like they don’t have a brain in their heads, or they do but they are possessed with the want for power and wealth, which over powers their capacity to think rationally. Of course, they could also be demon possessed, which would not surprise me in the least.

Agreed. Nothing has come down in my locale either. Gas prices have fluctuated mildly the past two years but basically the same. No decrease in grocery prices.
