President Trump’s Border Czar, Tom Homan, arrived in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Monday. Today he gives a press conference following meetings with the Minnesota governor and Minneapolis mayor.
Mr Homan said he is now supervising the capture and removal of all criminal aliens from the Minneapolis region. ICE agents together with Customs and Border Patrol officials will continue operations throughout the region and the governor and mayor have given their assurances they will no longer attempt to interfere with capture, detainment and removal efforts.

Someone posted on here several weeks ago, that there are several steps that must be followed before the Insurrectionist Act can be implemented that no one can Legally Stop. I believe PDJT is following these legal steps to the T. He will then come out and say I gave them every opportunity to follow the laws of the land and they failed to do so.

He has seen both Obama and Clinton in their finest hours. In other words, he has seen and worked for evil. Also, calling him gullible is also calling President Trump gullible. Walz and Frey have brought in a woman named Rachel Sayer. Like Samantha Powers she worked with USAID in places like Ukraine, Yemen, Syria… places that had Color Revolutions. This whole thing is a lot bigger and a lot more dangerous than just a bunch of dumb liberals tromping around in the snow following ICE around.
I understood it to be that Mr. Homan isn’t going anywhere until he sees that the MN LEO cooperates with ICE.

This was an excellent presentation by Homan. He is fluid on his feet not lecturing or dictating anything.
But whoever gave him the title of “Border Czar,” methinks is not useful.
The word “Czar” depicts a person that is a Dictator. And whoa, Nellie the word “Czar” triggers some of my family, with the same heritage and history, to somehow or other “resist” Holman, and whatever his purpose in these times
That is NOT who Tom Holman is. Thinking he should be called an “Expert” on Border and Immigration issues instead, because he IS!
Homan is not the first presidential advisor to be called a “czar”. I think originally the word comes from Caesar, a family name that became a title and now has morphed for thousands of years.
Anyway, in modern American context, it refers to a non-cabinet (thus not Senate confirmed) advisor who has a special dispensation from the president to wield the authority of the Oval Office. Usually czars are more controversial figures than cabinet appointees.
A few minutes asking the internet should reveal a list of folks from both parties with that moniker.
I’m almost positive Obama was the first President to use and appoint “czars.” I remember my stomach dropped when he announced the new title. I said to myself, yep, he’s fundamentally changing America….

You must be young – I remember Nixon’s “Energy Czar” William Simon (1973). FDR was the first President to use the term “czar” for non-Cabinet staff, and it has been employed by almost all Presidents since the 1930s.
Term is to get “around CONgress” as they would have had to approve . Czar is an “in”

He knows Trump’s got Walz, Frye, and Ellison on financial crimes, that’s why he’s saying such nice things about them. As well, if they took part in the coordination of the “resistance,” he’ll let the FBI take them down. That part is for sure coming.

Here is a little background for those watching the drama unfold in Minneapolis. Further back in this thread, a poster brought up that Homan stated that he wasn’t “all about photo ops”, and the poster questioned if it could be a dig against Noem, or possibly Bondi.
It could be, but more likely, it was a swipe at Bovino. You have to understand that Bovino is Border Patrol, and Homan is ICE, even though he was BP for a few years way back in the day.
The two agencies are actually longtime rivals and competitors, somewhat by design. The BP used to have satellite offices in the interior of the US, like Little Rock, Sacramento, Dallas, etc. In the late 80’s and 90’s, several administrations gradually shut those stations down. The logic was, having the BP in the interior of the US causes controversy and “bad optics”. The vogue thing to do was to put the BP on the border. And have plain clothes investigators quietly remove the worst of the worst criminal aliens from jails and prisons in the interior areas of the US.
Local politicians and the regular illegal aliens loved it. Basically, if you got past the BP on the border and made it to Topeka, and didn’t commit too many or too bad of crimes…. you were safe.
Those plain clothes INS investigators, Customs special agents , were merged in 2003 and now we had ICE.
ICE rapidly built its kingdom in the post 9/11 environment. They even started beefing up their ICE offices *along the border*. Bigly. Started competing not only with BP, but with DEA. Then ICE/HSI was formed Homeland Security Investigations. They started using their authority to push FBI aside.
The competition and rivalry for cases and stats on the border became so strong that it took intricate memorandums of understanding among the competing agencies to keep the infighting to a low boil. The conflict became so intense at times that agencies were going after each other harder than at the bad guys.
So here we are. Trump is reelected and there’s new bosses at DHS. The agency heads, civil service, are jockeying for position. They tell the Trump appointees what they can do.
Next thing we know, USBP El Centro Chief Patrol Agent Bovino is a “commander at large”, and leaves El Centro and hits LA, then Sacramento, Chicago, NC, New Orleans etc. It’s great times if you’re BP, like back in the 50’s and 60’s…. not so much if you’re ICE. The interior US is supposed to be for ICE. But since he was authorized and BP’s statutory authority is virtually identical to ICE, they could not stop him.
Until Minneapolis. ICE tagged Renee Good, things got hot, then BP got hung up with Alex Pretti. Things went to white hot, and suddenly Bovino is out, and Homan is in.
In addition to all the other conflict, you’re also seeing internal bureaucratic conflict unfolding.
If you want to predict and understand how this plays out, just bear in mind that ICE is in charge in Minneapolis now. And probably because Homan has guaranteed to return things to the old guard, status quo of ICE operations 2003-2024.

Homan’s tone mirroring that of Trump. I think that should put to rest the question of intentionality of Trump’s shift in demeanor lately.
They are both showing contrast against the fire and vitriol the media and the left both show and blame on Trump at the same time.
This shift looks to me as a way to highlight the left’s blame in this.

I am hearing now that all those not supporting anti-ICE agitators are Nazi collaborators and will be dealt with in due course. These folks are ignorant as well as dangerous. Even Democrats in congress (and RINOs) are calling for reducing or eliminating DHS/ICE and other departments of law enforcement. One could easily connect the open borders debacle with the now attempt to stop immigration law enforcement and deportations with the goal of the Dem one party dream. This must be met with strength and resolve the same as prior nullification attempts. I fear that the waste, fraud, abuse, and government corruption is overwhelming any attempts to stop the destruction of our Constitutional Republic.
Every single person in the Trump administration should study Tom Homan and how to handle the press. He should give workshops. He’s a gem.
