Sometimes life support measures are inappropriate. Right now, the “current chldren” of the united nations have picked up some illegitimate kids who are prolonging life support in order to monkey with the will and the distribution of the estate.
In my experience, when the children find out the “estate” has no value in a case like this, many of the “concerned” children disappear.
Yes, dying can be a process, but it can also be sudden. I think we are witnessing a sudden death, albeit a mourning process for those that cannot accept death as a finite outcome of something that was born of corruption.
