National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett appears on CNBC to discuss the current status of the Trump economy. Obviously, the first question to Hassett surrounds the announcement by Fed Chairman Jerome Powell that he is under a grand jury investigation.
Director Hassett rightly notes the DOJ is independently investigating the issues of Powell as a result of both a Senate Banking Committee (Tim Scott) and House criminal referral for misleading and false testimony related to the construction of the FED building in Washington DC. Both the decisions by the Federal Reserve and the Dept of Justice are not outcomes of President Trump’s decision making. Secondly, Hassett is considered a candidate to replace Powell in May, so it would be inappropriate for him to make any comments. WATCH:

The Fed exists to steal Sovereignty from the American People for the Wicked Lizard Overlord Pervert Pedophile Mafia.
And to transfer the wealth of God’s honest working people to that wicked Oligarchy.
But our God comes to topple the temple and Deliver His People with a Great Wealth and Health Transfer, Hallelujah!
Psalm 105:37
He brought His people safely out from Egypt, loaded with silver and gold; there were no sick and feeble folk among them then.
We say Yes and Amen to the promises of God!
I wish I understood how the fed makes the elites richer.
Because it’s a game you must understand and learn in order to be profitable. There is no law that says only certain people can be wealthy while everyone else stays poor.
For instance, Form 1031 exchange from the IRS is how the Elite avoid taxes, it’s what President Trump told Hillary Clinton in 2015 during their debate. He never said 1031 out loud, he just said “because I follow the law!” Regarding his taxes.
There are many ways to make money but you need to understand each game first, start there. Investing is key to all successful elites.
See my below comments on how the Fed makes the elites wealthy but swap out you with a $1000.00, to them with Billions of dollars.
Something I noticed years ago when looking through the tax code, large deductions.
Initially I noticed that everything major deductible seemed to benefit the goals of the Democrats.
With what Sundance and others have posted over the years, I amend that to the uniparty.
First and foremost: “Affordable housing” Low Income Housing Tax Credits. When they passed
it as a federal law, various states also passed legislation matching it with state tax credits.
In the state of Georgia, back in 1987, matching state funding for Low income housing tax credits
(ie future slum creation), passed without opposition in both houses, both parties. Georgia was
just starting to trend Republican back at the time, but the new Republicans were already starting
to figure out betrayal.
The creature from Jekyl Island PDF will clue you in.
Yes and Amen, Lord, yes and amen.
Thank you, brother, for keeping our eyes on Jesus.
God Bless ya Gipper
Funny how no one in the corrupt media was worried about optics throughout the Biden puppetcy.
And sad how oblique references to that hypocrisy just don’t cut it. Hassett’s references did get them to change topics. That is about the limits of that technique.
Propaganda Parrot Media is what I continue to call them.
The corrupt media is just that. I don’t give them mush credit. I hate the thought of government home lock downs, government forced school closures, government church closures, government forced medical injections and government corruption that we experienced during the biden Reign of Terror…bill
$ 6,900,000,000,000 (6.9 trillion) , the gross federal spending in FY 2024, wasn’t going to spend itself without a little help. As we know now, the Democrats couldn’t create NGOs fast enough to spend it all, so they had bundler companies handing out the grants.
$2,000,000,000 (2 billion), the estimate for the Fed building project is a drop in that bucket. It’s hardly noticeable at 0.029%.
This is why I rant on the legislators’ pushback on DOGE. $200 billion isn’t even a dent in the bucket of spending. We need $2,000 billion reduction in spend just to balance the budget to current income.
Republicans think that their job in Congress is simply to make the Democrats filthy rich! They are doing a very good job, too!
Republicans are great at selling out for money. Ask Tom Tillis.
Tillis is NOT a Republican; I would not even call him a RINO; he is much more despicable.
Tillis is someone who will wave any name/label/flag/etc that will help him get re-elected … so that, in any and all ways, he and his fellow grifters can continue with their grift.
Such is the definition of a typical sociopath: one who holds no empathy for their fellow humans … and for defenseless creatures.
Why do so many of We The People continue to fall for these self-serving schmucks?
The only good thing I have to say about Tillis is that he is not running for reelection in NC this year.
As Sundance points out all the time:
R’s use power to make money.
D’s use money to obtain power.
Two wings of the same Uniparty bird.
Okay, as you say … but much more importantly, IMO, in our political processes, what do you believe We The People — that is, those who elect to Congress these many RINOs and DemonKKKrats — hold our collective job to be?
Our NATION, defined almost 250 years ago, established We The People to be a NATION with both RIGHTS and DUTIES — such is stated clearly in our National Charter Document — and, as every adult American understands, DUTIES COME FIRST.
We’ve heard it a 1000 times: Freedom is not free; there is a cost where such payment is required always UP FRONT. No long-lived NATION in the history of humanity, that DEMANDS its RIGHTS but seldom requires the ADHERENCE to DUTIES, ever existed. Who, for example, these days in America is talking about DUTY?
Of coure, so many of these elected reps are Self-Serving, Sociopathic, JUDAS CRIMINALS … that could NOT care less about We The People, but, as a NATION, our social contract — aka American Covenant as also defined in our Charter Document — requires that We The People, collectively, embrace and perform our DUTIES … but that is, IF AND ONLY IF We The People want to remain as CITIZENS in our NATION as origianlly intended and designed; otherwise, collectively, we revert to being CONTROLLED SUBJECTS … as will our future generations.
Yes .. We grew up hearing about our rights and duties however, our children and grandchildren grew up at the alter of “me, I, buy me, give me, take me, I’m special, I deserve, not my problem and not my fault..” uwhile the adults in the room, self included, paid no attention, kept my head down earning a living, and followed the throwing money at the problem will fix it crowd.. And here we are today.. with half the Godless population not knowing the cost of their “rights and freedoms”
There is nothing in your post with which I disagree — I thank you for reading and responding — the critical remaining issue, IMO, is that our terms and conditions of NATIONHOOD have ALWAYS BEEN: Regardless of the past — and, yes, we have made our mistakes, both of commission and omission — what are We The People, collectively, going to do about it?
It is NOT TOO LATE.
Are We The People up to addressing our clear and present challenge …. or no?
This thematic question, since the beginning of our NATION, those 250 years ago, has been, and remains so to this very day, at the very core of our American Experience.
Such is even highlighted specifically in our National Anthem … “Oh, say can you [STILL] see …?”
Yes, we have RIGHTS, but much more important are our PATRIOTIC DUTIES. So says our National Charter Document, that is, the Primary National Document that presents the DEFINITION of why we even EXIST as a NATION.
With you 100% if you really want to count examples would go far in helping TY.
Dear Nefty Ivan,
I personally would like to commend you on an outstanding post. The most important factor in the advancement of human improvement, other than Jesus Christ, is individual self-responsibility.
I recently saw a map of Minnesota, almost completely red. The writer was using it to illustrate how a small geographic area with all the voting power can rule the majority. What I saw as I looked at the map was an entire population of victims. Just like in the western movies where the entire town is ‘tree’d’ by three outlaws. Until the one good guy gets the guts to break their hold. He saw his duty and did it.
Donald J. Trump is that one good guy. Every voter in those red districts owe it to him to break the bad guys. Stand Up. Do It. As Nefty Ivan points out, it is a required duty.
Nefty Ivan, your post could be a campaign speech. If not for you, for somebody who sees their duty and wants to help change the system.
And for the skeptic who wants to give some bad advice about how it can’t be done:
BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.
YEEEEHAW!!!!!!!! My point has just been made by the Sheriff of Judicial Oversite, TOM FITTON!!
Because of his work, 800,000 ILLEGAL VOTERS are being dumped in Oregon.
ONE MAN WITH DETERMINATION AND SELF-RESPONSIBILITY CAN SHAKE THE SYSTEM!!
Denise, thank you for your kind words … that is, words regarding “personal responsibility” being at the core of our collective National existence … that I, for one, hope they reach a larger and much more audience.
After all, is that not what much of our National Charter Document of 4 July 1776 was all about: respect for the individual—above the demands of the State —but with each and every CITIZEN [individual] also understanding that, along with that respect of the State, responsibility also is required.
Such is the message of our Founders for the past 250 years … for which each and every one of us needs to embrace and promote that message.
MAGA & MAHA!
“the corrupt media”
IMO a direct result of the consolidation of news outlets by only a few owners that started with the corruption of W. J. Clinton in the WH. Ditto for the corruption in the DOJ.
(R) presidents did not clean house, so 20-30 years later almost the entire upper echelon of the DOJ is populated by individuals that have no regard for the law.
Hassett is a very pleasant man and a joy to listen to.
The happy Quokka!
I like Kevin Hassett a lot. He is indeed a very pleasant man.
Having said that, it annoys me that both he and the interviewer were in lockstep agreement on the “independence of The Fed.”
First, The Fed has never been “independent.” There are countless numbers of puppet masters in the shadows that control everything The Fed does. Not a single one of those puppet masters would fall under the category of “We The People.”
Second, The Fed is unconstitutional. It shouldn’t even exist, and it should be abolished today.
The fact that nobody in our government is willing to speak truth on this issue really annoys me.
No he doesn’t, he just can’t reveal his real mission. He is very good at his comments to not rile the enemies. An incredibly brilliant patriot. God protect him forever, his soul, family and keep him one step ahead of the stock market greedy reporters.
You speak true, Batman. Er, I mean, Bruce…..
😂😂😂
lookin to retire next year any robin openings.
Dr. Ron Paul would agree with you.
“Director Hassett rightly notes the DOJ is independently investigating ”
There is no such thing as is independently DOJ investigating. Never has been. Never will be.
yeah, same as the mythical nonpartisan government employee.
“Director Hassett rightly notes the DOJ is independently investigating” when you state empathically that there is no such thing as DOJ independently investigating. In fact “Never has been” .. “Never will be”.
What are you trying to say?
What did Joe Kernen mean when he said “The President isn’t gong to be here much longer”?
I think he was talking about Powell. About 3:41
Re-listened and it sure sounds like he is referring to PDJT. Just curious.
I agree but it took me a few seconds to register.
That guy was blustering all over the place. Grain of salt.
He should have said (correctly) Governor……as in Governor of the Federal Reserve.
Definitely referring to Powell being out in a few months as fed chair.
My God….what a blessing to have such a calm benevolent QUALIFIED man like him on our team….Team USA .
I think he handled the queries with thoughtful (NON hyperbolic) aplomb .
Will be sorely miss from the outside looking in also. A smile, a soft voice, a supporter of President Trump’s policies, and chuckles now and then. Yep, sorely missed.
I love me some Kevin Hassett since Day one of President Trump’s first term for the same reasons you mention. He has a great demeanor even when dealing with evil interviewers and can cut them with a knife while smiling happily.
Saying that, I like when he’s interviewed on this show. They seem to enjoy his company as well as his perspective. Definitely not enemy territory as far as I can see.
Meanwhile, perhaps Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell, could enlist an ad agency to recruit a Dick Wilson lookalike for ads with Mr. Whipple scolding people in the grocery store, “Please don’t squeeze the Chairman!”
Of course, set up the ads as Public Service Announcements, with everything needed for producing the ads to be charged to the American taxpayers of course!
Kevin Hassett’s laid back tone is the polar opposite of Jerome Powel and Thom Tillis. I’m sure both of them will be much happier when they’re gone. The sooner the better.
How is Thom Tillis threatening the president over a legitimate investigation not obstruction of justice?
Tillis has wandered way off the reservation not merely weaving out of his lane! Definitely another Democrat in Republican clothing! 🤔
No kings… unless you’re a senator, a federal judge or Empress Piglosi. Then you’re an emperor.
They have way more immunity from prosecution than a mere President & they’ve benevolently granted it to themselves.
When a United States Senator looks in the mirror he sees a King who should be an Emperor.
Tillis is not running for re-Election (because he would be annihilated in the Primary if he did, and he knows it), so he is taking his RINO frustrations out on We The People and Trump. He is a liar and a scumbag, and he will continue to be an annoyance until he leaves.
You mean until the end.
Then he will face his Maker while holding his ill-gotten gains of this earth.
You want to talk powerless then? Ha!
He will be an annoyance after he leaves. Senators have a Magic Exit Door that leads to the Land of Ill Gotten Gains.
“Retiring” from the Senate is like hitting the Powerball, after they have already looted the Treasury.
Too bad he doesn’t appear publicly. It’s time for our side to show up with some signs for jerks
like him.
“SELL OUT”, “DOUBLE AGENT”, “SWAMP TOOL”, “BANKER”S WET DREAM” all have a nice
ring to them.
Protests should be quiet, unexpected, organic, and have wording that constitutes an absolute
gut punch.
Powell actually spent $3.2 billion to renovate the Federal Reserve Building, in comparison, the newly completed 110 story World Trade Center with 3.5 million sqft of luxury office space in Manhattan which includes 4 story underground parking and subway stations as well as the cost of the land was $3.9 billion. Like I said many times here before Jerome Powell isn’t working this hard to sabotage President Trump for a $200,000 a year salary! 🫡
There have been dozens of criminal referrals from congress about a wide range of alledged criminal activity withing our government for everything from the Russia hoax to J6. Why do nothing Bondi would run with the Powell one over all the others is a head scratcher.
Once again….. the files are on her desk.
I wish there were many more strong MAGA candidates like Kevin Hassett. He is a great spokesperson for Trump’s policies! He definitely would be missed at the NEC (National Economic Council), if he takes the Fed Chair job.
Unfortunately for Trump, if he chooses Kevin Warsh, I think Warsh will become a turncoat like many others and Trump will regret not choosing Kevin Hassett in the long-term.
Think about unreliable picks like Amy Coney Barrett on the Supreme Court, who has been a big disappointment. Trump is taking a big risk if he doesn’t choose someone directly from his camp.
ACB was as predictable a turncoat as a sunrise in the east.
1.) Cocaine Mitch made sure to ram her confirmation through at the end of Trump 45 term. Could’ve and would’ve held it up if she wasn’t on board Team Rino.
2.) ACB upheld the outrageous and unprecedented emergency health powers, lockdowns, mask mandates, bioweapon mandates, unconstitutional election changes ahead of 2020 in her judicial district. For a unremarkable flu. Only point of contention with totalitarian D’s was religious exceptions.
3.) ACB found no entrapment or other unconstitutional issues with the phony Whitmer ‘assassination’ plot commited by DOJ itself.
4.) ACB was rewarded with a multi-million dollar book deal just a few months after rejecting election challenges.
Corrupt, despicable totalitarian-loving judge, approved by Rino/Cabal.
Nothing about her said good jurist before her nomination, proved it in her first consequential ruling. Probably adopted kids to sexually abuse them like most of that wicked cabal does.
During confirmation, she said she cried of injustice with her adopted black daughter over Floyd. That’s when I knew that she was bad news with bad judgement.
Could NOT believe no one else saw that as a warning sign.
Kevin Hassett has very appealing disposition. I particularly enjoyed his response to predictable ‘public perception -Trump targeting enemies – yada, yada, yada’ question, asked by Sorkin.
Haven’t watched Squawk Box before and so curious to know if Sorkin is typically so pensive in demeanor? …almost appearing personally affected by investigation (ihmo).
Sorkin is a die hard liberal and shill for the deep state.
Saw another interview with Sorkin a few days ago, concerning the Minnesota
car ramming incident. Everything out of the man’s mouth was essentially talking
points, approved phrases. When he gets the phrase d’jour at 4 am, he makes
some coffee, does his homework.
He used so many catch phrases that I was expecting to see “TM” at the end of
damn near every sentence he uttered.
He looks tired. I’m hoping we’re not burning him out.
It’ll be great if Kevin Hassett replaces Powell as Fed chair, but it would be AWESOME if he then went on to dismantle the Fed.
Using his position to eliminate his position. Trump is already employing this strategy with Linda McMahon in Education.
Yea, DoE is still there and the admin keep using it it to strong arm schools to government policy…. soooo not seeing them ending DoEd.
If you loan money to purchase Treasuries, in a 1, 10, 30 year bills, notes or bonds, for let’s say, $1000.00 at a discount rate of 3.5% you are paying 3.5% less than $1000.00. So, a 13 week treasury bill will cost you less than $1000.00 to lock up your money for 13 weeks if you hold till maturity and if you do, you’ll receive $1000.00 back, making a profit.
The Federal Reserve is no different when it loans money in the REPO markets or the FX Swap Markets, they too make a profit on the interest just like you and I would in the scenario above.
So, can we please stop saying that the Federal Reserve in using our tax dollars to pay for a building Renovation that has absolutely nothing to do with your tax dollars but on the interest earned by lending money to huge companies or governments around the globe?
Our Federal Reserve is the De facto central bank of the world if you actually understood how the Global Economy truly functions.
The REPO markets along with the FX market transactions are trillions of dollars, occurring daily, combined. Currently, 9 to 10T
The Federal Reserve is NOT funded by your tax dollars, PERIOD!
regardless of the intricacies
their actions
affect our pocketbooks
most often in a negative sense
All profits from the Fed are returned to the Treasury. Revenues that are instead spent on a building are not returned. That revenue could have been used in lieu of tax money (by Treasury) if it had not been spent on a building
Tax money.
Kevin is of course right about the CONgressional referrals & the inappropriateness of asking him to comment.
Marco needs more than 4 pair of new shoes…
Pray for Kevin Hassett, the happy warrior. Being in his industry is difficult. He is really an honorable man. And the FED/NWO really doesn’t want any change to their power. He would be excellent but he will needs a massive protection group around him.
I really like all the investigations and criminal referrals to the DOJ but, the referrals, so far, have not been acted on. How much longer do we have to wait for Pam to take action or Trump to boot her for inaction? One bright spot is the Grand Jury that has been impaneled in Florida to investigate Russia gate but that’s not enough and if there are any criminal charges will Pam take any action?
Funny that picture of Secretary Marco Rubio. What? Oh nooo…, another job assignment, says man of many hats.
May I suggest a sub-title?
How about “Affordability and Election Fraud”?
He is definitely is one of the smartest Experts in the WH on the economy, but the way he can say something as if it’s a compliment but its not. Did you notice how Joe’s partner started bringing up the liars on the left and how their law firms targeted by Trump was the worst, and Kevin’s was that kind of thing is unfortunate, especially how they all sued Trump to put him in jail. That was funny
Oversight and accountability are long overdue for the Fed. A must read to fill in all the blanks is, “The Creature From Jekyll Island” by Edward Griffin. This DOJ inquiry, however, will not uncover any of the financial abuses committed against our Republic over the years but it will illustrate how loose the Fed is with money, our money.
UniParty Powell needs to go away right now….
To me, following multiple efforts to split Trump’s coalition, this smells to high heaven. It comes at a time when PDJT has multiple, highly consequential irons in the fire, and it is, by comparison, a tempest in a teapot. Even if Trump wants to cut the Fed down to size, why on earth would he do it now? Okay, so maybe Powell won’t cut rates as low as he wants, but this doesn’t seem to be the right time to pick that fight.
On the other hand, he’s clipping the wings of the globalists big time, robbing them of many of their sources of funding. They would like nothing better than to put their guy in the Fed (Remember, Biden fought tooth and nail to keep Powell out.) to get the interest on the dollar down so they can get back to their money laundering games and escape the financial trap that Trump et. al. have put them in.
Powell and the Fed split with the globalists 5 years ago, getting us out of the low-interest era initiated under Ubu, draining the offshore dollar markets where they made their levered up deals and funded all their color revolutions and other shenanigans.
Again, I smell a Davosian rat.
The Boom-and-Bust cycle never end with the Fed in charge of money supply and rates.
Its Keynesian economics at work, prosperity can be engineered, and it is for the rich. Deficits we have are the result of malinvestments loans grants and other means of getting money out into the economy, money loaned and the boom is created, then the bust arrives showing everyone the mistake of easy money and malinvestment, you could call it fraud because it keeps happening over and over again. All brought to you by the fed.
Savings over borrowing this is the true winner, but we have borrowed money over savings.
“The Federal Reserve System is not Federal; it has no reserves; and it is not a system at all, but rather, a criminal syndicate.”
Eustace Mullins
Just the fact the Fed is unable to control runaway building expenses in their own house, how in the heck can they be trusted to get it right with our money supply and interest rates?
Director Hassett is adorable.
Since Powell is mentioned here, I will post US Attorney Pirro’s X post here as well.
The United States Attorney’s Office contacted the Federal Reserve on multiple occasions to discuss cost overruns and the chairman’s congressional testimony, but were ignored, necessitating the use of legal process—which is not a threat.
The word “indictment” has come out of Mr. Powell’s mouth, no one else’s. None of this would have happened if they had just responded to our outreach.
This office makes decisions based on the merits, nothing more and nothing less. We agree with the chairman of the Federal Reserve that no one is above the law, and that is why we expect his full cooperation.
“I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.” Charlie Reese
If the Fed is so damn independent why can’t they pay for their own renovations
