Well, this is what happens when the far left takes power, even on a municipal level.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has appointed Cea Weaver as the Director of the City Office to Protect Tenants. Presumably, a position intended to stand behind the rights of housing tenants against the property owner. However, Ms. Weaver has some remarkable views on private property and home ownership.
In this video clip below you will notice Ms. Weaver outline how homeowners will need to modify their view on their property ownership to reflect a new municipal perspective that considers all individually owned property to be part of a new collective property viewpoint as controlled by city government.
NYC Mayor Mamdani’s Tenant Director, Cea Weaver:
“We’ll transition from treating property as an individual good to a collective good. Whites especially will be impacted.” pic.twitter.com/RZSdCs8oEa
— End Wokeness (@EndWokeness) January 5, 2026
“For centuries we really treated property as an individualized good and not a collective good, in transitioning into treating it as a collective good and towards the model of shared equity … it will mean that families, especially White families … are going to have a different relationship to property than the one that we currently have.”
It is likely that Mayor Mamdani and Director Weaver are going to run into some stiff legal opposition as they try to reimagine a world where individuals are not allowed to own property.
NEW YORK – Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s newly appointed tenant advocate called to “seize private property” and blasted home ownership as a “weapon of white supremacy” in a series of pro-communist social media posts.
Cea Weaver, Mamdani’s new director of the city Office to Protect Tenants, made the statements and urged her followers to elect more communists in several lecturing posts on her now-deleted X account that were unearthed by internet sleuths.
“Seize private property!” she said on June 13, 2018. She later doubled down on that in a mini-manifesto on August 2019.
“Private property including any kind of ESPECIALLY homeownership is a weapon of white supremacy,” she said then.
Weaver, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America and former campaign coordinator for Housing Justice For All, also served as an adviser to the Mamdani campaign in 2025.
The Post featured her as part of a group of young lefty progressives in Mamdani’s brain trust.
She was a key player in lobbying the Democratic-run state Legislature to tighten the city’s rent stabilization laws in 2019, making them more pro-tenant.
One major property owner said Mamdani and Weaver are misguided. (read more)

Voting in the midterm elections this year is not optional.
We cannot permit the communist ideology to permeate our nation, erode fundamental rights that establish liberty, destroy individual rights in favor of collective rights, or maintain ideas that mobs of left-wing assemblies should determine your free and independent life choices.
This is not an ordinary election cycle, where debating whether or not your granular special interest is being dutifully attended holds merit. This is an election cycle that will determine whether the direction of this nation is toward individual rights and self-determination of abundance, or whether everyone is forced to cross the finish line of scarcity at the same exact moment.
To even begin to discuss the confiscation of individual property in favor of collective distribution is alarming stuff.
So many of us tried to warn about this when Senator Barack Obama was running for office on a platform of fundamental change to the American system toward communism. Here we are two decades later, now dealing with the consequences of those who refused to believe it.
Occupy Wall Street, 2011 march

It would be really weird if this would result in a massive sweep across the country where citizens stand up and say to politicians at all levels:
“No, YOU can’t tell me we do not own our property that we worked hard to obtain. You’re fired.”
This will be across the board for Democrats and Republicans too, if they don’t forthrightly stand for property rights, American citizens first, America First.
You will no longer be making plans for taking our property or spending our money foolishly or messing up our children and their future.
The Democrat/Communists pay people to march all over the country with the same signs.
The Democrat/Communists won some elections in November 2025 by paying people to vote and fudging the machines.
There are trillions at stake a little chump change goes a long way in an off year election cycle. We need paper ballots and ID today.
“fudging the machines”
No claimant needs to do that. This claim is why we lose the court battles.(that and corrupt judges)
As proven, in real time, by Jay Valentine of Omega4America, elections are stolen when voters registered to illegal addresses cast ballots. The solution can be integrated into any voting process and block votes, or, at least quarantine votes.
No more mail ballots, nor even absentee ballots—too easy to cheat. Vote in person on a national Election Day after showing your ID…. Bring government by the people and for the people back!
Yesterday!!!
Hey MAGA, didn’t Trump tell us that Mamdani was a great guy who was going to do great things for NY and be very successful? Didn’t he say they had a very good sit down in the Oval?
You have zero understanding of politics.
PDJT was engaging in what is known as ‘corporate etiquette’.
No.
So how is life under a bridge??
Sure and he warned Maduro to shape up. But sometimes the magician uses deception.
They met and had a conversation. What he said was based upon what Mamdani told him which would have been sugar coated. Just like when he told the voters they all will have free bus service knowing that will not work.
They raised subway fares to $3 and installed head chopping turnstiles.
So soon? Wonder what those voters are thinking now?
Your NY Governor a Democrat has the power to remove t
he Mayor of NYC.
Lee Zeldin, Republican, would do it if he had been elected NY Governor
ps: watch the Federal money flow change to that area
Kathy Hochul is up for reelection this year. Tie Mamdani closely to Hochul.
PDJT needs to work on voting reforms ASAP.
I think getting Maduro was a big step towards honest elections. He knows that Venezuela plays a key role in election tampering.
COPA
“Community Opportunity to Purchase Act”
Rejected by the previous Mayor Adams, now in force.
If an owner of certain properties wishes to sell, he must first offer it to an NGO, as briefly explained in the first video. I suggest friends do a little research to see how very Communist of NYC’s new owners it is…
The second video from “Dr Zhivago” was a warning.
“In this world there are only two tragedies. One is not getting what one wants, and the second is getting it.”
~Oscar Wilde (“Lady Windermere’s Fan”)
My favorite movie in the whole world, Doctor Zhivago!
I was only young when I saw it, Joan. It remains a masterpiece.
And instructive.
Mine too, and will always be.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for citizens to stand up to politicians at all levels. That has not happened in over 200 years, most recent examples:
Coronapocalypse lock downs, masks and “vaccines”Rigged 2020 election and J6 prisonersTotal chaos in every major DemonicRat city & state
Citizens are rapidly becoming complacent slaves at an accelerated rate.
Focus on preparing family & friends for the impact.
No surprise here, communists doing what communists do.
We refused to kill them and allowed them to work their evil. One of these days they will have to be removed.
Touche’
If it’s ‘their’ property can I stop paying taxes? Rhetorical question, we’ll actually have to pay more to own less. Funny how that works.
That’s what the World Economic Forum folks have been aiming for all these years – that is, except it doesn’t include them like it’s founder Klaus Schwab
Glad I scrolled, was going to say same.
If the city owns these buildings were will the $$$$ money come from for other “free” stuff?
Knowing how city owned properties are maintained can you imagine how fast these will go down hill?
Pride in ownership has a way of helping keep something more attractive.
Milton Friedman was a great defender of capitalism. Ownership of property is a fundamental component of it. Greed is also fundamental, and any system that ignores that is doomed to fail. Collectivists are not happy with just their stuff, they want yours too. Some are more equal than others, so it is, so it will always be. Regardless of the system, it’s a small club and we are not, and will never be, in it.

Communal apartments are the best! (sarc)
I always think of this movie when this sort of crap occurs. It made a big impression on my young life.
Try and take it! Another reason to have the 2A! We will make an example out of these commies! It stops here in NYC before it spreads. The MSM will do their commie best and treat it with silence.
New York City has never had a Second Amendment. Guns have been restricted there since the Revolution. No one in that benighted place has a gun (outside of criminals) to defend themselves and their property!
B Getz had and used one.
I rewatched “The Thin Man” over the holidays and learned that NYC has had gun laws since at least 1910.
Not true. There are many armed people in NYC. There are far too many hoops that people need to jump through to own a firearm, but people do it anyway.
That didn’t take long…comrade weaver must have sights on Trump properties..
Winner!
Ah, so let’s see how wealthy (white or otherwise) property owners in NYC enjoy this potential directive. Remember, condos and co-ops are also considered ‘private property’. This will be interesting.
Some property owners will be more equal than others…
You’ll own nothing and be happy about it.
The day you own nothing you have nothing to worry about. Then those who took it will be the ones that will pay and I hope with more than their freedom, and those who had everything taken will take it all back and inflict pain on those who deserve it.
Those who have nothing, have nothing left to lose.
Those who’ve had everything stolen from them, include their children’s futures, not only have nothing left to lose, but everything to fight for.
You get what you vote for so, I hope the idiots in NYC have their properties seized.
.
I can understand from her clip that it truly helps these people say these things because they are dumb as a box of rocks. Her quick clip clearly shows a RETARD.
White liberal/socialist women should be rounded up, put in Massachusetts, illegals stay also, and have Lizzy Warren run their collective lives.
She looks like Greta Thunberg–that great political powerhouse from Sweden–and is apparently just as ignorant about how reality works.
Go ahead and put everyone back in the stone age, Cea; you’ll have people fighting over rocks and you’ll want to be in charge of who gets how many.
You can vote it in but their is only one way out…
Looks like Cea Weaver in that communist group who are holding their banner and marching.
Isaiah 3:12
As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
She’s both a woman and a child.
2 Thessalonians 2:10-13
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. …

Prepping New Yorkers For Mamdani’s Caliphate
We already have “shared equity”. It’s called property taxes.
Another kind of shared equity is called investing. What Cea Weaver is talking about is called stealing and people who steal can get killed when they try to steal things.
We also have ‘Eminent domain’ which allows corrupt politicians to steal citizens property. We also have ‘property tax seizure’. The government is always a tyrant, with petty dictators at every level.
If property taxes remain unpaid, the government can place a lien on the property, which may eventually lead to a tax sale to recover the owed taxes.
Still I don’t think Mamdani’s plan is constitutional and I am sure it will be challenged.
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures,”
Agreed, however that amendment has a had a few holes poked in it as of late.
Property tax isn’t shared equity, it’s progressive theft. You never own “your” property- just try not paying their property tax (rent).
There’s a hard push to amend the Ohio constitution to eliminate property tax. The progressive fear mongers and their minions in government address pulling out all stops to convince the public that’s a terrible idea (“you’ll lose all your services-library, fire, police, schools, etc”).
“people who steal can get killed when they try to steal things.”
“stiff legal opposition”
Are these the same thing?
No.
One is a ridiculous statement to make the CTH posters all appear unhinged. Slick handler job and all.
The other is what will actually happen.
I have only one problem with the Mamdani government: the people who voted for him remain free to leave NYC anytime they want, and I think that’s wrong. They voted for locusts, now they need to sit there and enjoy life under the rule of locusts.
Yeah, Robert DeNiro says he has to leave because he lives off of his money, and Mamdani wants to take half of it. Don’t come here, DeNiro, you need to reap what you have sown. He was a Mamdani supporter…
Wackadoo Bobby DeNiro will go hide in LA for awhile and keep pretending to be a Mamdani supporter. If it wasn’t for double standards, libbie trash wouldn’t have any standards at all.
Or France. They all love France until the tax bill cones due.
DeNiro is one of the locusts. What a POS, happy to push commie ideas on others while enjoying his “more equal” pig status.
Watched him and Pacino in a movie last night. DeNiro is a Pig sty in a pig’s eye. I still like Pacino.
Don’t let them immigrate to other states. We have our RDA here in Florida.
The propaganda news will not cover this, so alternative media and all of us must spread it continually.
If the average homeowner sees this, he/she will realize how Democrat = Communist and throw the bums out.
Needed for a win in November:
Homeowners concerned about property rights
Lower food prices
Secure elections.
4th–“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
https://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/fourth_amendment
‘Unreasonable search and seizure shall not be violated’…words matter.
“pie in the sky, plastic banana, good-time rock n’ roll”
I know Rush is shaking his Heavenly head as liberal New Yorker’s sell out their city to the socialists.
I can only imagine . . .
You misspelled communists.
You get what you voted for. Congrats, NYC…
‘At a news conference at an apartment building in the Bronx, Mr. Mamdani named Dina Levy, a former state official and longtime advocate for affordable housing and tenants’ rights, to lead the city’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development.’
‘The mayor also announced that he would organize a series of public “rental rip-off” hearings in his first 100 days for tenants to share their grievances about dilapidated buildings, rodent infestations and excess fees. He said the hearings would provide the initial research for a report that would shape his administration’s housing policies.’
https://dnyuz.com/2026/01/04/mamdani-names-housing-leader-and-pledges-rental-rip-off-hearings/
Hard to find personal information on Dina Levy. She is too tanned and put together. 🙄
This seems like some kind of shake down for money that goes ‘who knows where.’
Maybe Chicago could give some tips on eradicating rodents?
First would be changing the environment that allows the survival of said vermin.
Seductive politicians like Mamdani build their power and reputation by making good on at least one of their promises that does something good for some deserving people, and that cannot be opposed without acquiring a reputation for being “mean.” For Mamdani, it must be something that benefits working people, taxpayers. “Rental rip-off” could be it.
In the end the ‘working people’ will still be in shitty, cockroach invested apartments. 🙄
I like to look and see how someone like her was educated.
“She completed a B.A. in Growth and Structure of Cities at Bryn Mawr College in 2010. Weaver earned a M.A. in Urban Planning from New York University‘s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service in 2014.” (links removed)
Maybe the colleges and universities are to blame for educating her to be a Communist. And it goes downhill from there when you look at her mentors – also communists. Well they call themselves “democratic socialists”, but they’re communists. Something akin to how Obama was educated and mentored.
Woe to the people of New York.
Bryn Mawr…that says it all…
“democratic socialists”
They vote among themselves on how they are going to divide up your money.
What little money we have left after Joe Bribem.
It is NOT education but indoctrination…
Parents more likely.
The age of government/tax-supported welfare changed everything with respect to voting rights and likely explains the majority of Mamdani voters, directly or tangentially.
If it’s politically possible ever to revisit the relationship between voting rights and taxpayer-funded welfare dependence, there’ll be no better time. That those who benefit from working/middle class taxpayers can vote themselves more benefits without a requirement to contribute is transparently unfair.
A poll tax was not the right solution, IMO, more like a band-aid, but just as welfare benefits and welfare-dependent immigration were heating up:
“The Twenty-fourth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which took effect on 23 January 1964, outlawed property qualifications for voting in federal elections by abolishing all poll or other taxes as requirements for voting.
In 1966, the Supreme Court extended this prohibition to state elections when it held, in Harper v. Virginia Board of Elections, that state poll taxes violated the equal-protection clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.
At the time of the American Revolution, almost all states had property requirements for voting.
In the early nineteenth century newly admitted western states imposed few property requirements, and the eastern states moved to reduce their impediments to voting.
By the time of the Civil War, the states had eliminated nearly all property requirements for voting. But, after the Civil War, many southern states reenacted poll taxes…” and so on and so forth…
A few examples:
Georgia Constitution of 1777, Article IX:
“All male white inhabitants, of the age of twenty-one years, and possessed in his own right of ten pounds value, and liable to pay tax in this State, or being of any mechanic trade, and shall have been resident six months in this State, shall have a right to vote at all elections…”
New York Constitution of 1777, Article VII:
“That every male inhabitant of full age… shall, at such election, be entitled to vote for representatives… if… he shall have been a freeholder… or have rented a tenement… and been rated and actually paid taxes…”
Virginia Constitution of 1776 (Declaration of Rights, Section 6):
“…that all men, having sufficient evidence of permanent common interest with, and attachment to, the community, have the right of suffrage…”
Massachusetts Constitution of 1780, Chapter I, Section III (House of Representatives):
“Every male person, being twenty-one years of age, and resident in any particular town… having a freehold estate within the same town… shall have a right to vote…”
Someone on TGP made a comment and called a general idea of politics or whatever…it was related to Venezuela and their ‘current’ leadership, however, it has a serious ‘ring’ to it…
“Islamunist Commie-crats”…
My eighth grade history and current events teacher, Sister Josephine, when studying the rise of communism starting with the Bolsheviks and the Russian revolution, said communists can be described in one sentence:
“what’s mine is mine and what’s yours is mine”
NYC’s new mayor and his apparatchiks have become the living embodiment of that true statement.
Democrat Sen. Chris Murphy Gets Confronted Live on Air With His Own 2019 Op-Ed Calling for Maduro to Be OUSTED
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2026/01/you-are-buffoon-white-house-torches-democrat-sen/
Murphy took to X to rage against the operation:
“The invasion of Venezuela has nothing to do with American security. Venezuela is not a security threat to the U.S.. This is about making Trump’s oil industry and Wall Street friends rich. Trump’s foreign policy – the Middle East, Russia, Venezuela – is fundamentally corrupt.”
CNN anchor Dana Bash reminded Murphy of an op-ed he wrote explicitly calling for Maduro’s removal:
Dana Bash:
In 2019, you wrote an op-ed, and you called for Maduro to be gone. You said:
“Let’s get one thing straight: there should no longer be any debate about Maduro’s lack of democratic legitimacy. The Trump administration is right to put restoring Venezuelan democracy at the center of our approach to this crisis. A return to a stable democracy is in the interest of the Venezuelan people, the United States, and the hemisphere.”
His fall back, I have nothing.
Chris Murphy:
Well, the rest of that article was a criticism of President Trump’s early moves to saber-rattle around regime change.
Democrats show their hypocrisy.
Oops. Forgot I wasn’t on the daily thread.
I trust she is the only red haired (more white than me) whitey living in a collective tenement with 100s/1000s immigrants….or does she live in the same collective community housing like the mayor?
Gated community? Elegant townhome on the Grand Concourse in the Bronx? Condo with doormen and security?
WE THE PEOPLE continue to have a US Constitution we will live and operate under.
IF NY citizens chose NOT to, on them.
WHEN will we stop ‘allowing’ unlawful acts to occur and sit idly by.
NC teacher in Raleigh murdered this weekend by a 20x criminal and just last month let go by a judge. WHY can’t that judge be held accountable and REMOVED from office. The teacher’s family , local DA and state AG should pursue having the judge convicted.
IT’S TIME, now or never, to take back what obama and biden have TAKEN from us, constitutionallly.
And, I might add, R’s sat idly by and did nothing but campaign off of and talk tough, bad and DID NOTHING.
And the Bush clan.
FOR SURE…BOTH bushes….
Because judges get the same kind of immunity that police officers get in the performance of their official duties.
Tenants are virtuous. Homeowners are oppressors.
Watch for a move by the city to require it to have the right of first refusal for any private residence offered for sale, essentially requiring owners to sell to the city.
What could go wrong? It’s a win win, right? Right?
It’s already happening there, with the city attempting to use surrogate NGOs.
Hey, missy, can we at least start with the super rich with huge properties and not us middle class like every other time this is tried in history?
Now, for this audience. This is rhetorical, please don’t jump on me for the perceived “approval” her stance.
“However, Ms. Weaver has some remarkable views on private property and home ownership.”–Sundance, you are too kind!
“In this video clip below you will notice Ms. Weaver outline how homeowners will need to modify their view on their property ownership to reflect a new municipal perspective that considers all individually owned property to be part of a new collective property viewpoint as controlled by city government.”
Modify their views? NYC is in for a world of hurt.
I think Mamdami going after everything he can possibly go after, to see what he will possibly ‘end up’ with….it will be interesting.
Maduro took over industries…so ‘let’s see what happens’….
The thing that bothers me the most is this part- “it will mean that families, especially WHITE families… are going to have a different relationship to property than the one that we currently have.”
Time for the pitchforks and torches…🤔
Somewhere in America, my kids have a musket from the American Revolution. That might work?
Their mom, me, will be relegated to said torches and pitchforks!

Speeding in reverse.
Coming up on return to the Feudal System just over the horizon in the rear view mirror.
ah, the good old days. The future looks…insane?
Feudal was never this bad!
No, but we’re not stopping there. We’re going all the way back to the Law of the Jungle. Or worse.
NYC has more tenants than property owners. This will happen. Pray for NYC. It is truly sad that not even 30 years after 9-11, they forgot.
My question is this;
What is the metric for Consolidated Edison, to turn off the lights?
Many were not even born then…
This just moved the needle much closer to a tipping point.
This is a fever dream based on a fat green bud John Lennon’s communist anthem.
This is why shitholes like NYC outlawed (effectively) gun ownership. It’s because they are planning things one would shoot them for.
Spot on. If they tried it in any healthy red state they had better bring a lot of body bags.
Not a whole lot to say except we knew it was coming. Perhaps its time for the federal government to take a long, hard look at what is going on in NY. Can’t see how the state, city has fallen so deep into ruin. Has to be cheating at an impossible rate.
An uninformed and/or non-existent electorate participate in a popularity contest when elections are held.
Someone needs to inform them that voting for political leaders is a lot different than voting for class president.
Why do they always sound like they stopped maturing after about age 12?
Because they did stop then.
This is scary as all get out!
Women on the Left, especially those of the ‘single cat lady’ variety, are some of the scariest creatures in politics. And when you get one channeling white guilt, you have a truly horrific creature that you really don’t want anywhere near the levers of any type of power.
I have yet to meet one that I haven’t felt could benefit from some type of psychological counseling.
J
Mental illness runs rampant in that demographic.
Years ago, they were simply thoroughly medicated and kept away from power … and many extended family gatherings.
Uh…may I introduce the concept of ‘agility dog mom’? Little league mom, soccer mom, pony club mom and junior miss beauty pageant mom…all wrapped into one…
or better yet…The A-S-S which is fondly referred to as the “Agility Support Spouse”….
Think of President Bernie Sanders 2016…or Ocasio this time araound? The FIX MACHINES are still in place!
Has anybody figured out that it is time to use the second amendment to clean house?
I believe the numbers are growing daily, one day hopefully soon, there will be a reckoning.
Take her stuff first.
Watch the deranged white commie girl scream.
It’s always about other people’s stuff with these imbeciles.
Ammo up New Yorkers and channel your inner rooftop Korean.
Nothing short of another REVOLUTION is going to change the trajectory of the REPUBLIC. We’re insolvent, everything else is deck chairs on the titanic. Carry on.
President Trump is a modern revolutionary.
Isn’t this the purpose of eminent domain? The seizure (with ‘just’ compensation) of private property to be used for the public good. SCOTUS has upheld this concept repeatedly through the years. The compensation is based on market value, and after this starts, you won’t be able to sell your property for a fraction of its worth since prospective buyers will know what’s coming. The value will plummet. Watch them take Trump Tower for what Tish said it’s worth! You get what you vote for. If you don’t vote – you don’t care.
Unfortunately this will affect us all. As the locusts leave the area they destroy they will look for new areas to consume. I recently spoke to a realtor friend who works in the greater Pittsburgh region and they said the Philly crowd are moving to the area because the cost of living and quality of life is better. They drive up local property prices AND bring the ideas that destroyed where they are leaving with them. “Progressives” are a blight on even the poor and lower middle class.
Allegheny County is as bad as Philadelphia, Delaware, Montgomery and Lower Bucks Counties.
They destroy and consume their urban centers, then migrate out. They bring their destructive ideology with them, in the back of the U-Hauls they arrive in.
At least you don’t have to deal with the additional invasion from North Jersey and NYC, like they do in S.E. Pa.; it’s a two-front war there.
“Start spreading the news…Florida’s full….so stay in ol’ New York, New York….”
Those idiots in NYC consider confiscating Ms Weaver’s property? How about Mandami’s?
The Communist Control Act of 1954 needs to be enforced with a vengeance.
Madmanny is already off the rails…..doing exactly what he said he was going to do.
Elections have consequences. I am delighted to see that the people of NYC will be getting exactly what they voted for!
Bring it!!!
The Marxist Democrats will both praise and run interference for this and it will be the end of this corrupt party, once and for all.
