I’ve no doubt that the border is as secure as it has been in decades…or ever.
But — illegal entry is only part of the problem. People who come in on legal visas but never leave is also a huge problem.
Yet I’ve seen nothing reported about how THAT issue is being solved.
The illegal entry problem is so big, Pres Trump may never get around to solving the legal entry problems. He is only one man. He is trying to solve the problems created by many Presidents before him.
H-1B Visa applications are down 92% since Trump imposed the $100,000 application fee. Nineteen attorneys general from blue states are suing Trump to have it reversed.
The left has clogged up the courts and are costing us $millions/day to stop Trump from deporting violent illegal immigrants.
The GOP is for massive legal immigration for cheap labor. Trump and his administration are fighting this battle alone.
I would think that if you’re in a group of people who are rounded up and are here illegally on an expired visa, you’d be shipped out, same as everyone else.
Illegal is illegal.
There has been articles etc on what State Dept and Rubio are doing with that but it’s not as in your face because it is not in the 10- 20 million people range like open borders. And the visa stay overs albeit illegal unto itself did go thru a vetting process so less likely to be criminals, terrorists etc.

I can’t imagine how many heart-aching stories he’s heard and investigated over so many years that he carries in his heart as he’s performed a difficult and frequently thankless job. I know I couldn’t do it. The fact that we finally have people working at high levels in our government who are actually rowing in the same, productive direction (i.e., his comment about Steve Miller) vs. working to perpetually undermine each other feels like a miracle unto itself. The serious look on the faces of our military backing the president and Gen “Raising Kane” looked like they have worked up some serious resolve. They didn’t have that “politician” look that all military active and retired instantly recognize. That gives me hope that there might be a few good men left.

The GOPe controlled Congress has not codified any of Trump’s Executive Orders that have allowed securing the border.
Because the GOPe donors want a porous border to ensure a continuing supply of cheap labor.
A porous border also ensures the destruction of our country, something the GOPe is willing to ignore as long as their bankrolls keep growing. They make me sick.

I don’t know where you get your news. I only glance at the headlines of the usual sources anymore since I daily go to X (Twitter) to see what the latest news is on any topic.
It is shocking how blatantly ALL of the usual “mainstream” Big News outlets flat out lie about every single illegal alien being swept up by ICE. Every single time, they try to frame their story as some sob story about some innocent mother/father/kid was sacked up by ICE.
The media has done this with EVERY single cabinet agency on any action the agency takes.
Within minutes to maybe a couple hours, administration officials, usually the agency Secretary or their comms people will quote the lying media post, and provide the facts.
No media outlet issues a correction, and it is shocking how many lies make it into their other forms of reporting online or on TV.
ICE/DHS/HUD/VA/DOD/EPA, etc., EVERY SINGLE ONE has had to correct blatant lies from the media.
Let the left focus on doing everything they can to make themselves look like fools defending that gangbanging wife-beating, human-trafficking illegal. People are well aware of what fools the left is making of themselves in doing so.
Meanwhile, there have been ICE sweeps in Portland, LA, Chicago, Memphis, New Orleans, Minneapolis and several other cities. ICE will often post the highlights of who they have in custody. Rapists, murderers, drug dealers, child sex deviants, thieves, etc. The post far too often includes the detail that the illegal had a court order of removal many years prior. It is not unusual to see orders of removal dated 15 to 20 years ago, but nobody acted to track them down and remove them. They are in custody now and being removed.
The media even tried to push the lie that ICE was pulling back from sweeping up every illegal in order to focus on the hardened criminals due to bad polling, and ICE had to point out that that too was a lie. They will take any illegal encountered.
ICE has reported 2 million have been deported so far. 500,000 criminals removed, with 1.5 million self deporting.
My point is that I am very grateful to see such evil finally removed from this country. Given the other steps the administration has taken to cut off all the taxpayer financed benefits, looking at remittances to home countries and the ongoing ICE raids, I see the self-deporting picking up speed.
A massive part of the problem is having many thousands of hardened criminals who were let in this country, and nobody acting until now to get them out. Add to that 18,000 Afghans with 2,000 of them having ties to terrorists.
The left and hack judges focusing on their favorite MS-13 gangbanger keeps them occupied and away from important work that is being completed.

This message needs to be on the ‘public owned’ airwaves from right now thru the midterms, Americans can see the difference between Biden and Trump, they need it drilled into them.
I don’t believe the pollsters and their traditional belief that there will be a huge congressional seat shifting between the Dems and Republicans in 2026, all over Obamacare, wait until voters see the economy next year.
If republicans capitulate on ACA subsidies, they’ll lose at the polls, many faithful voters will stay home, than voters who would support republicans in exchange for a subsidy. America First voters put Trump back in office, not anybody who voted for Harris.
The GOP needs to root out it’s RINO’s, get Trump’s nominations confirmed asap and codify what they can of Trump’s E.O.’s before November of next year.
