In addition to refuting the effort by Comey’s lawyers to challenge the appointment of USAO Halligan [See Response Here], the USAO office also provides evidence of James Comey’s extensive use of Daniel Richman to act as a cut out for leaks and communications with the media [Attachments HERE].
Beginning on January 2, 2015, James Comey hired Daniel Richman to be his conduit to the media for all things around the Clinton investigation. Exhibit #3 highlights Richman emails to Office of Legal Counsel, Patrick Findlay, to begin the process of officially working for Comey as a special government employee. [Attachment #3 HERE].
There are multiple exhibits highlighting emails between James Comey (aka Reinhold Niebuhr7) and Daniel Richman [HERE-4 and HERE-5 and HERE-6 and HERE-7] proving the former FBI director did intentionally direct Daniel Richman to contact media persons on his behalf and leak investigative background information, or instruct them on information, James Comey provided. The evidence on this issue is overwhelming.
Daniel Richman, working directly on the instructions of James Comey, worked closely with New York Times journalist Mike Schmidt, husband of MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace, to publish material [ex. Exhibit #8]. Richman then coordinated the FBI director’s message with dozens of national journalists, writing the scripts for them to publish on behalf of James Comey [ex Exhibit #9]. Again, the evidence on this collaborative endeavor is overwhelming.
Interestingly, [Govt Exhibit #12] is the criminal complaint stemming from the FBI investigation which began on July 21, 2025. The investigative summary notes the purposeful use of Room #9582 at FBI headquarters, intended to destroy classified evidence concealed in five burn bags.

I have a relative who went there back in the day and is now totally screwed up with TDS. Assuming the choice of that name by Comey is any kind of self projection let it be a warning that “neo” anything is ultimately destructive. “There is nothing new under the sun” except for what the prince of the power of the air creates post Eden.

I had to go back and research Niebuhr. Seems he had a lot to say about a lot, and his position appeared flexible on topics over decades. But I found it curious that from a Theology professor there was a conspicuous absence of Christ crucified and raised from the dead in his many public pronouncements. Maybe I missed that part.

What is missing here? Has James Comey’s house been searched? I have heard no mention of it. As I recall, he had a SKIF in his basement he called his “safe room.” There was a safe in it. Are there classified documents there? Is there a gun there?
In 2016, when I was speculating on this blog, why the D.C. police turned over all the Seth Rich evidence to the FBI, Comey personally trolled me, as “Reinhold Niebuhr.” He had a personal interest in that murder, or its coverup, and we need to expose it.
Recently I read the George Papadopoulos book, for insights about how bad actors, like Comey, could set up innocents in their quest to get to persons they wanted caught. Papadopoulos said the FBI wanted him to wear a wire to get Joseph Mifsud, and he was set up and prosecuted when he refused. I think that is like what happened to Seth Rich. He was vulnerable to be used as a tool to get Julian Assange, so it would have occurred to Comey to do that, when he encountered Rich at the DNC during his visits there.

Not impossible – but the requirements, costs, approval authorities for a SCIF are pretty tough. I have never heard of a SCIF at an individual’s private home. I am familiar with FLAG officers with classified access from their homes – the homes were located on military installations, however. Comey was FLAG equivalent – but his home was not on a protected installation.
Wonder what happened to that SCIF once Comey was fired.

That is an issue that sticks with me—Comey’s handwritten notes are found in a burn bag? Can we assume other docs in that bag came from him as well? Not my experience. Anything below Secret went into burn bags that were collected now and then and taken to a central site. Secret and up was copy controlled and a central control officer handled destruction. Crypto was a separate matter with its own rules.
