The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) annual leadership summit was held in Las Vegas, Nevada. This year’s event has gained additional, perhaps purposefully boosted, attention due to the organized effort by the RJC to defend the Israeli government from any American criticism. The need for control is a reaction to fear.
Well known conservative voices like Mark Levin and Ted Cruz, emphasized the RJC message that support for the government of Israel was a key component to their definition of the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement.
Young conservatives from the Turning Point USA organization were used during a speech by Florida Congressman Randy Fine to highlight his speech theme, “Tucker Carlson is Not MAGA,” a theme that was also emphasized by Officer Brandon Tatum.

I think so. He has been talking recently about how strange it is that nobody is allowed to criticize Israel. We can criticize any other country we want but not Israel. Tucker has made some comments about how Bibi has been high-jacking the death of Charlie and using it for his own purposes. He was also critical of how Bibi was going around saying things like “Trump will do whatever I ask him to do – I control him.” And apparently Bibi’s military people were ordering our military around. Tucker made it clear that he did not like that at all – neither do I. It’s one thing to help another country – it’s another thing when a foreign country thinks they can tell America what to do.

Somehow I must have been busy, and didn’t see the memo on why Tucker is no longer an approved part of the MAGA movement! Good Grief! I simply don’t get it.
President Trump formed a coalition with Tucker, Elon, RFK Jr., and host of people with differing opinions. Some I like and pay attention to what they have to say, and others I don’t care for at all (Peter Thiel, etc.), so why are we boycotting those we aren’t in lockstep with?
People are going to have disagreements, so there’s no reason to take sides. I have better things to do with my time and I’m going to continue watching and listening to those people I like. If Tucker said something most people don’t like, it won’t impact me. There are podcasts that I turn off because they don’t interest me, but I don’t stop watching because one time I didn’t agree or with the host or guest.

They got into Tucker Carlson and I only half paid attention, seeing this article here now, I wish I tuned in more.
Forgive me for giving you the gist of it, this is why I only half tuned in, they were discussing something that I didn’t know about so it was hard to follow.
It sounded like: Tucker had a guest on recently that is very much of a well known antisemite person, I didn’t recognize the name.
This man went on a hate filled rant and apparently people felt that Tucker should have not even had such a guest on and then Tucker is in trouble for his response to what was said- he missed an opportunity, or passed up an opportunity? to offset what the rant was about.
I may not have all this right, BUT this is what Larry wanted to get into with Newt.
Larry was basically asking Newt “What the heck has happened to Tucker Carlson and what do you think of all this Newt?”
Newt said he was very disappointed in this path that Tucker is on -that is appearing to be against Israel..AND if Tucker doesn’t change how he thinks, he’s certainly got no future at all in the Republican party.

Apparently the stigma of not saluting the right people and of asking the wrong questions has influenced the viewing choices of the Treeper community.
I usually watch a Tucker interview every couple of weeks. Not a devoted or reflexive fan. But I usually find his discussions informative. Especially a nice contrast with various hardline opinions that various interests spend a lot of money to promote.
Yet, any interview with respectable Republican opinions, they get squashed like a bug. I do not appreciate that and therefore, I cannot condone the “fair and balanced” lie. I do not like or trust Tucker and never have.
Whenever anyone says antisemitism is a problem that we all need stand against, I’m going to bring up anti-Christianity and why that should be a problem that they shouldn’t tolerate. Change the narrative they are weaving.
The problem is that whenever someone questions why we must support Israel (especially if they go on to suggest maybe we shouldn’t), they are labeled antisemitic on that basis alone.
If a person questions why we should support France, or Tanzania, or Ecuador they are not usually slandered as haters. Israel seems to be different.
My impression is that it is bad enough for an ordinary citizen. For a lawmaker to raise these questions would require trying to find a new line of work.

My older son has been looking into going for a while now, after making friends with and explaining Jesus to a few Jewish people here in the states. The idea that they do not allow missionaries in Israel is incorrect, and does not explain the lack of outreach in other places.

I’m not sure everyone is able to distinguish between political and religious differences. In taking out Iranian nuclear ambitions, Trump acted in America’s best interest, and Bibi acted in Israel’s best interest. Because these coincided, it was easy to cooperate. If you follow Trump’s decision making with foreign governments, he always expects them to do what is best for their country and their people. In most cases that should include mutual respect and mutually beneficial business deals.

His love is linked to promises of renewal and joy, suggesting that despite past transgressions, God remains devoted to His people. God has not forsaken, abandoned, or replaced “His” people. The verse(s) serve as a reminder of God’s enduring love and grace. A message of everlasting love provides hope, especially in times of distress or doubt, affirming that God’s love is constant and unchanging. Whatever the other pros and cons of US support for Israel, there is no possible way in which doing so makes America Great Again. There may be other arguments for doing it, but if so people need to make them and not just insist that supporting Israel somehow makes America great.
US foreign policy needs and deserves to be criticized. One of the reasons Trump was elected President was that he was seen as a corrective to the foreign policy establishment which has controlled US foreign policy for the last sixty years or so, regardless of which party was in charge of the WH or Congress.

There are things I don’t agree with from both the anti Israel and pro Israel side here. There is room in maga for both…and maybe they will bring balance. Yes. He did. I can’t find the vid clip right now. It was when he was praising Abu Dhabi for their low crime rate which he said was because of Sharia Law. Then he said something along the line it might be good if America had Sharia Law since our crime rate is so high.
