What they are describing is EXACTLY why we outlined how ‘outside govt’ emissaries were/are vitally necessary to work around the control agenda of the U.S. Intelligence Community. This small example is stunning in magnitude when considered around the importance of the moment.
On a positive note, with Witkoff making this stunning public statement, we can now add a major datapoint to President Trump’s reference of NOT TRUSTING the CIA. Combined with the previous assertions of Marco Rubio and Tulsi Gabbard on essentially the same level of outlook, this example of the CIA getting it wrong (misleading the administration) has long-range ramifications beyond the Hamas example.
With this backdrop for reference, surely now we can have an optimistic sense that President Trump doesn’t trust the CIA intelligence on the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Actually I agree with your suggestion. PDJT knows, or at the very minimum is very suspicious and does not trust or depend on them for anything other than whatever info Ratcliffe can provide and confirm, but IMO that’s limited.

It really is incredible how blatant, and how massive this problem is. One would think Ratcliff would be asking some hard questions from the briefers all the way up the chain and summarily firing as needed.

Once upon a time, the IC was willing to listen to alternative analyses. For example, the old National Security Agency welcoming briefing (circa 1970s-80s) used to include this admission: in spite of the thousands analyzing the intelligence, the real breakthroughs come from a handful of zealots [ed., NSA’s words] working against orthodoxy. In today’s world, I’m not sure how many true analysts there are…commanders’ growing reliance on AI is frightening (e.g., MG Taylor, Commander 8th Army in South Korea).

The US has two big recent experiences taking down brutal dictatorships and then trying to pacify their territories, settle the populace, and implement a whole new government entirely from scratch – in Afghanistan 2002 and in Iraq 2003.
Both of those experiences turned out as dismal failures that dragged on far too long and just kept getting worse and worse.
Both of those efforts were led by the US State Dept., the US military and the intel agencies.
Witkoff and Kushner are tackling a similar project in Gaza. They now need to disarm Hamas, re-settle the civilians, set up a government and security force from scratch, all while keeping the whole thing from blowing up again.
The best thing they can do is to keep career-level “experts” from the State Dept, Pentagon SES civilians and Intel agencies as far away as possible. Block them from meddling. The “experts” failed again and again, and no matter how many times those “experts” fail they never seem to learn to do any better.
Skuttle the ceasefire and cease the negotiations with Russian and Ukraine… provoke a war in South America: we have seen this play in three acts before. CIA setting up 47 again…

Interesting….but what makes this more interesting is that Hamas has already broken the ceasefire/peace agreement. So does that muddy the waters a bit….having leaders of these other countries say that Hamas is willing for ‘peace’ when in essence, under the surface, they are not?? Maybe walking away from their apparently massive offer was a huge strategic mistake?
While we wait for the cleaning of the corrupt CIA, it would be nice to follow the informational chain of command that was giving Witkoff and Kushner bad information and remove them and the analysts creating this bad information.
There is much to recommend this. More than one thing can be done at the same time and this would be at the top of my list, with a post-mortem on sourcing.
