California’s agriculture grievously undermined over recent decades:
The avocado industry in particular in Fallbrook – ah, the most magnificent Haas avocados – but then “Santa Cruz, Chile” said the stickers when you went to your local grocery store to buy an avocado. Would normally buy many more than one, hopefully in graduated stages of ripeness. Why are we seeing “Santa Cruz, Chile” when we are in Haas avocado country?
Of course, the most famous and egregious example of San Joaquin Valley (Fresno area) agriculture being destroyed due to concerns over some fish and thus water needed for agriculture was diverted and generations of family farming businesses were devastated.
Another example: a stupid ass battery plant built in proximity to the estuary at Moss Landing. Fires at the battery plant raining pollution on the “Salad Bowl” agriculture farming in the area. That’s lettuce and garlic in particular and of course the magnificent artichokes. I want to yell out like that guy watching the Hindenburg exploding, “oh, the humanity!” . . . but where is the reportage on THIS tragedy. “No one died” is the immediate answer . . . I ask, don’t you think that will make people grievously ill at some point and destroy their lives and their livelihoods, too? Also, the beautiful wildlife that made that estuary their home? What about the fishing? The fish? Last time I was there in the summer of 1989, it was so lovely and quiet . . . went down to just look at the little fishing boats, then went and had a basket of fried artichokes in a little 1920’s looking shack on a wind-swept bluff overlooking everything.
Now we have read about the beautiful Napa Valley and their way of life under attack. Okay, I do not drink alcohol (stopped on the day of my stepdad’s 65th birthday in 1982 when I was 30 years old). But Napa Valley and all the beautiful wine-growing regions of California are part of our state’s history and greatness. Just so much history and love and hard work that went into it.
Another bad thing are the Chinese factory fishing vessels all over the oceans, including raiding the fishing off our coasts in California. Plus, deep sea mining of minerals found out at the deepest area of the oceans. What are they doing in the course of this fishing and mining? For mining, are they using explosives in the deepest waters to bring up the minerals? Could that be connected to the weird phenomena of deep-sea creatures normally never seen being washed up on our beaches? Could this deep-sea mining combined with the overfishing be having a horrific impact on our coastal sea life being able to feed itself?
California agriculture, fishing and viticulture has been under serious attack for years – who is going to run for Governor of California that will turn that all around? Praying!

Not only that I believe CO2 is 0.04% of heat trapping gas and if that percent humans only make up w fraction, and if that fraction of human made CO2 is mandatory for our lives to exist.
