The parliamentary election for Moldova is scheduled for September 28th.
There is considerable anxiety afoot, as EU security elements begin bolstering the internal police force of Moldova. It appears their concern is widespread unrest could follow the election results. Why would the official government of Moldovan President Maia Sandu be concerned about post-election turmoil?
Well, consider that Maia Sandu’s election last year was not won by a vote of the majority of Moldovans who physically reside in Moldova, but by a reported half-million mail-in ballots that tipped the scales in her favor. Those same mail-in ballots also changed the results of the referendum that asked Moldovan citizens if they wanted to join the European Union.
The stakes are very high for the EU and NATO alignment. If the Moldova parliamentary election results in a more pro-Russian governing body, the best designed plans of the U.K/NATO/EU and global intelligence apparatus could be significantly damaged.
Maia Sandu’s Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) is in a tenuous position. Sandu and PAS are globalists, influenced a great deal by European money and promises of affluence. Their collective opposition within Moldova is an assembly of nationalist voices represented by Patriotic Bloc, a new group of existing pro-Russian opposition parties.
Polls have indicated that Sandu’s PAS is likely to lose the parliamentary election, but the European Union cannot accept this outcome. Thus, the issue of these mysterious mail-in ballots surfaces again, and that explains why the Moldovan police and EU security forces are preparing for civil unrest.
In August, the leaders of France (Macron), Germany (Merz) and Poland (Tusk) visited the capital city of Chisinau to proclaim their support for President Maia Sandu and the pro-EU movement. The trio, also called the ‘coalition of the willing’, represent fierce opposition to Russia’s war in Ukraine.
On the economic front, Moldovan citizens have been coping with high inflation, energy shortages and have seen little progress in the Sandu pledge to clean up internal bribery and govt corruption. Meanwhile, Sandu has been traveling around Europe and Great Britain seeking financial support that can deflect some of the economic issues.
The election next weekend represents a critical inflection point for Europe. If the EU loses the support of the Moldovan parliament, it would be much harder to utilize the Romanian NATO military base for a European war against Russia, a war they have been trying to provoke with increased aggressiveness.
Shortly before King Charles orchestrated the second state visit by President Trump, the U.K monarch met with Sandu to express his strategic support against a common enemy, Vladimir Putin (pictured below). However, it can be reasonably argued the majority of the people who live within Moldova do not hold the same opinion. They do not want war with Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is watching this unfold, while hearing from the pro-Russian elements who live within the Moldavian region known as Transnistria. Indeed, much like the Donbas and eastern Ukraine region, where Western forces within Ukraine attacked the Russian enclaves, there are indications of the same dynamic within eastern Moldova.
If the EU security services think they will lose the election in Moldova, Sandu will cancel it.
Watch Moldova!

Thank you for this update. And thank God we have the 2nd Amendment that makes the courts think twice about the abuses of lawfare, mail-in ballots and political prosecutions like that suffered by President Bolsonaro in Brazil.
Excellent use of sarcasm! Masterfully done.
Without 400 million firearms in private hands and, what, a trillion rounds of ammunition, I sincerely doubt Justices Roberts and Coney-Barrett come down on President Trump’s side on immunity and enable him to run again. Just a hunch, especially after watching what happens in countries with an unarmed electorate. An armed society is a polite and Constitutional society.
You misunderstand what 2A protects you from in 2025. As Sundance has explained the US government has war-gamed civilian armed resistance and crushes 400 million firearms and a trillion rounds of ammunition exactly 300 out of 300 times. It ain’t pretty for the civies.
What 2A protects you from is roving mobs of desperate and predatory gangs who’d come to your home and take your things, menace you and your family, in a state of societal collapse where only those inside gated – and armed security – protected communities are safe, and armed individual homeowners and community ‘gangs’ provide protection.
That’s it. Federal and state governments with military and guard forces don’t fear a 2A armed populace. Biden was right (surprisingly) when be said rifles and pistols are no match for fighter jets and gunships.
And look around, most of your neighbors are flabby and soft, play video games and couldn’t fight their way out of a wet paper bag.
Patriot, I have no doubt the citizens get slaughtered by the military. But, on the other hand, it seems tidier to let President Trump run than possibly have to slaughter civilians. Maybe that changes down the road.
I wouldn’t be so sure about that. If they were that certain they wouldn’t be trying to depopulate and disarm us. I am guessing they lose….
Maybe, but a Pyrrhic victory is still a technical win.
1. Disarm the general population.
2. Allow any number or types/identities of ruffians and thugs to run riot (pun intended) (think: no cash bail, etc.).
3. The beleaguered, defenseless public turns gratefully to the government to establish peace and order, maybe with a state of emergency.
The wrinkle: Donald Trump uses Federal laws and police forces to rein in the thugs–an unexpected and unlikely “man on a white horse.”
Trump is a Merchant, not a Warrior. He is wholly unsuited for the scenario you suggest. If he were capable of being anything remotely like a man on a white horse–likely or un–we’d know it by now.
I dont think so. We are far more powerful than that. 🙏
Not without digital communication.
Patriot1766: “That’s it. Federal and state governments with military and guard forces don’t fear a 2A armed populace. Biden was right (surprisingly) when be said rifles and pistols are no match for fighter jets and gunships.”
Patriot1766, in your opinion, what would be the outcome of a scenario in which a future Democrat president declares a national gun violence emergency and then takes seriously anti-constitutional actions to deal with that alleged emergency?
He or she issues a proclamation which suspends the 2nd Amendment and which makes possession of a private firearm a criminal violation of his or her emergency proclamation, an offense which will be adjudicated in a military court, not in a civilian court.
After the proclamation is ordered, the Democrat president then orders the US military and the National Guard to confiscate every privately-owned firearm in American hands, nationalizing all state and local law enforcement personnel to assist the military in carrying out the order.
Does this seem farfetched? Maybe not. Many of my progressive left relatives are wishing for a military coup to replace President Trump and his entire team with a junta military government run by an installed military president until a new election can be held which puts Democrats back in power.
I don’t know what the outcome would be, but it would include enough dead civilians to squash the rest into submission.
And no Supreme Court Justice will lift a finger to stop it.
CET: “I don’t know what the outcome would be, but it would include enough dead civilians to squash the rest into submission. And no Supreme Court Justice will lift a finger to stop it.”
My progressive left relatives would prefer to have a different constitution than the one we have now — a constitution which centralizes all political power in a single all-powerful government entity headquartered in Washington DC.
In this kind of scenario, as it played out through time, no Supreme Court Justice would lift a finger to stop it from going forward because there wouldn’t be a Supreme Court in place to stop it, the entire US Constitution itself having been suspended or even completely terminated by a marxist/communist military junta.
They might “win” but it would only be to reign over ashes and skulls.
Yep. They’re good with that.
If the stuff ever got real they wouldn’t be good with it for long.
And I think a whole lot of those ashes and skulls would be their own.
They can posse up and bring all their war toys, but we outnumber them by a bunch, and if they threw down on us they’d play hell coming for our arms without suffering some very serious losses in the process. Very serious.
The military currently enlisting isn’t the woke mess of obarkbark and fjb, so even if the left were able to somehow regain power in the next few election cycles they’d have a real hard time getting a cohesive military willingness to make the kind of war upon law abiding patriots that the lecherous, kid sniffing old usurper tried to threaten us with.
Likewise, they’d have a hard time getting serious buy in from law enforcement to come kicking down doors on literally millions of homes they knew to be armed. There aren’t enough SWAT teams to make that fantasy come true without the rivers of blood and piles of guts that it would cost them in the effort.
I think that’s why they are scrambling to get the Terminator Army into place, Ma..
I hope you are right, Ma.
Like they would matter.
Certain states and cities would fall. Some would absolutely not. We must elect and keep strong governors, and must fight for fair elections. Democrat tyrants can only be elected if they cheat.
They can cheat as long as voting machines are in service.
The only way to guarantee election integrity is paper ballots with photo ID counted on the day they are cast.
No one seems capable of tackling the biggest elephant in the room.
Either the electorate rise up and demand elimination of early voting and electronic voting machines from all manufacturers as well as limitations on absentee ballots requiring proof of necessity, or we will not have valid elections.
The DOJ and the FBI should have as one of their major priorities the exposure and prosecution of election fraud.
That kind of national exposure would highlight the urgent need for getting rid of the current mail-in ballot and machine-based election methods, methods which are consciously designed to support election fraud.
But the Trump administration isn’t doing this.
And I think the main reason the Trump administration isn’t doing this is because fighting election fraud isn’t one of Suzie Wile’s or Pam Bondi’s or Kash Patel’s priorities.
In 1960, we had same-day, in-person voting with no electronic, computerized machines, almost no mail-in or absentee ballots and fairly universal requirement for valid ID when voting.
Almost everyone on both sides of the political divide accepts that that year’s election was fraudulent and stolen for the benefit of JFK.
The only reason the country didn’t devolve into blood-spilling chaos was that Nixon, that oh so blighted man of infamy, chose to publicly and forcefully refuse to contest the election.
I want all those things I mentioned at the top of my comment, but, it won’t save us. Sorry.
and the people who count the votes?
“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
One more fraud National election and our hopes of reform are gone.
You’re talking about doing that in all 50 states, one by one.
One major facet of the problem which allows the Democrats to cheat and get away with it is that they have a very large and very loyal voter base which can put them within striking distance of victory if they can motivate that loyal voter base to come out in large enough numbers. Election fraud can then close the gap.
Well said. Please ponder a recent scenario: what if one of the kangaroo courts trying Trump before the election had convicted President Trump before the election and had put him in jail so he couldn’t run. Would the 81 million Americans who eventually voted for him have taken that lying down as Patriot suggests? I don’t believe Roberts and Coney-Barrett wanted to take that chance.
It’s hard to say with any confidence what might have happened in the summer and fall of 2024, say, if Donald Trump been imprisoned before the national convention as the Democrats and the Uniparty RINOs were desperately hoping would happen.
DeSantis and the other Keebler Elves might have argued that another candidate be nominated. Some number of blue state AG’s might have pushed a lot harder than they actually did to keep Donald Trump’s name off the ballot.
I myself think that Trump would still have been nominated in 2024 even if he had been forced to conduct his summer and fall campaigns from a jail cell. And I think he still might have won assuming his name had been allowed to remain on the ballot.
Anyway, I was saying in the spring of 2024 that Donald Trump should pre-record his summer and fall 2024 presidential campaign speeches before the national convention, just in case a kangaroo court somewhere sent him to prison.
You can run for President from prison
Let’s say that Democrat Gavin Newsom is elected President in 2028 and declares both a crime emergency and a climate emergency using two executive orders. Then orders the confiscation of all privately owned firearms and imposes a 100% tariff on all imports from any country that does not ban fossil fuels such as oil and natural gas which Newsom considers emergencies to national security.
Sounds pretty draconian but not really far fetched as it’s exactly what they want to do! All they need is the President, the legal authority and an agreeable Supreme Court.
People, enjoy these current fleeting moments pre-Antichrist.
I sincerely believe that 70% of our military grunts would say HELL NO
omg! You have relatives that think like that? I never heard of such a thing…
I think we can count on an authoritarian regime of some kind in the not-too-distant future, but it won’t be under Trump. He is a Merchant, not a Warrior. And he’s a 1990s-style liberal. And he’s old. There will be an authoritarian regime, but it won’t be under Trump.
Remember Vietnam and Afghanistan. Gorilla warfare can wear the enemy down
Damn Straight.
In both Vietnam and in Afghanistan, guerilla warfare was backed and financed by major external players with lots of money to spend on keeping the insurgencies armed and supplied throughout years of armed conflict.
No such external players would be present if our 2nd Amendment rights were unilaterally terminated by a Marxist/communist regime and these people imposed martial law on the country to keep themselves in power.
Except this wouldn’t be rural fighting. Urban warfare.
With no 2A, no arms, we become Western Europe.
Father’s can’t protect their teenage CHILDREN from roving gangs of r*pists, pimps, and men who torture children.
Recent studies have estimated that in the UK alone, there are 250K to 1M CHILD victims; which means hundreds of millions of violent child r*pe.
For those unaware here, google “grooming gangs”.
It’s spread everywhere, including Ireland.
Women no longer feel safe walking in London, Paris, Barcelona, Dublin.
and Berlin..
It’s a disgrace that men in those countries are allowing those assaults to happen, guns or no guns, or whether police are protecting the perps. Boys, do what ya gotta do. End of story.
The slugs that run the weaponized Government can’t do sh!t without all of US doing everything for them. That includes cutting your paycheck hoss.
Dirty Jobs beat Dirty Slobs, every time.
We could Non participate this whole mess into the ground any old day we feel like it. IF (Big IF) we ever got a mind to do so.
I’d want to see the assumptions for said gaming.
As has been pointed out all those personnel have families…
Every Military former and current that I know that are still alive play “Battlefield” or “Call Of Duty”.. one thing Unruly Civvies have over the Military is we ain’t Vakks Injured..
Exactly.
And we’re not illiterate afghans or 3rd world villagers.
Some of the most lethal people I know are cute little bitty grandmothers.
Damn Straight , Ma!
😉
Its rigged scenario gaming. Just look at history for a change. An insurgency ALWAYS wins in the end and you, i.e., the govt, does not want to engage in 4th gen insurgency operations be they rural, suburban or urban. The number of small civilian units will harass and erase regular forces, infrastructure will be eliminated and govt officials will be eliminated to the last pregnant wife. Obviously, people have forgotten Vietnam and Afghanistan. The full might of DoD was unleashed and poof, ran away with the tail between the legs. Remember, the civilians won’t have JAGs writing rules of engagement.
You betcha.
That are 400M registered guns in gun registration states. I bet that there are 1 to 2 billion guns in the USA, and over a trillion rounds of ammunition in private hands. Americans are some of the most well prepared, trained, and equipped people on earth. It is exceptionally unlikely that the US military could defend the US government from US citizens for very long.
There are, as we speak, more national Chinese in the US, than there are US soldiers in and out of uniform.
Amen. During Biden’s term in office, over 50K Chinese single males of military age came across the Southern border. We have a huge, trained and, I imagine, well equipped fifth column waiting for the green light to take the US infrastructure apart whenever China deems the time is right. Folks, we will have more to deal with than stolen elections and US gun confiscation should things really go south in the next few years.
I agree.
Second Amendment:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
So, Patriot, where in there does it talk about protecting oneself from roving mobs and predatory gangs?
I see the right to bear arms necessary to ensure the security of a free State.
Are you unaware of castle laws?
True BUT it gets messy, very messy. Some cities, counties, states would feel empowered to break away. Some politicians would not make it. Populations, cities, factories can not be controlled if they don’t exist. What happens with the military when it does get messy? These all become considerations that would be next to non existent without an armed populace.
Wolverines
I sincerely hope you are 100% incorrect
Vets from the Sandbox would kick dirt on the goofwads they have now, with the same equipment IMHO.
G’morning patriot.
IMHO your assumptions are WRONG. What many fail to understand is the insertion into the equation of patriots with prior military experience. I’m not talking about those that did four years for the GI Bill and got out. Many “lifers” know the ins and outs of bases, how troops are moved, how to keep planes/helicopters grounded, how to keep ships in port.
Joe “Bribeum” was WRONG. Him and his ilk FEAR US. Big talk from Talking Heads, yellow-stream media propaganda and “think tank pseudo-intellectuals” have not a clue how a lowly soldier or sailor can foul up the works of a supposed “well oiled machine”.
Many have taken their oath (multiple times) to defend our U.S. Constitution against all enemies foreign AND Domestic. We took that solemn oath to heart. WE MEANT IT!
The Feds and Guard dismiss us at their own peril. Old, tired, medicated and nothing left to lose…a potent combination.
…ambles off soapbox…
Hoooah!
Thread winner.
Upvote times a bazillion.
My neighbors? Lol.
While I agree with the assessment (to a point), the Vietnamese and Afghans beg to differ. A well-armed and motivated populace can get results even when pitted against a powerful military.
Is that the same military that lost to a bunch of goat herders armed with AK-47s and IEDs in Afghanistan?
Fighter jets and gunships are yesterday. Today’s weapons of choice are drones and hypersonic missiles.
NFA Registry notes nearly 400,000 machine guns in private hands; including miniguns and M2HB’s. That’s not counting machine guns tucked away by WWII, Korean War, and ‘Nam vets. Or by the grandsons and sons of those vets. These hidden treasures include water cooled Brownings, BAR’s, MG42’s, M2 carbines, Thompsons, MP40’s, and even Lewis guns.
The Korean War and ‘Nam vets aren’t so old they don’t remember how to load a belt, or remember where to aim and for how long a burst. The grandsons and sons born in the 50s and 60s are still young enough to mount an operation while ensuring multiple avenues of egress exist. There’s a lot more of them than anyone would imagine, who’ve done some gaming out of their own.
What’s often not considered are the troops who refuse to fire on Americans but instead turn their muzzles on those ordering them to murder their fellow countrymen. While they’d be small in number (a result of the Obama and Biden years) it only takes a few to burn a company commander and take the whole shebang over.
These things are on the horizon once DJT leaves office. Maybe not in your or my lifetime, but they WILL happen. There WILL be a one world govt headed by ONE man. And just as the armies of the world are in piece set against Israel, the King of Kings will return and kill everyone who’s against Israel and against Him.
In the time preceding the final takeover of the world, there will arise men who prefer to die fighting tyrants rather than live in serfdom. And later, when it’s clear their fight for freedom is a stalling action, they’ll fight tyrants for fun and vengeance, under a black flag.
That’s when those weapons, so artfully (and some not so artfully, i.e. Chauchat) built and lovingly cared for, will roar once again in defiance of tyranny.
The Chauchat (Show – sha)… one of the worst machine guns/ firearms ever made. It figures it was a French invention.
You misunderstand. An American civil war in 2025 won’t last one year or two years or five years. It will last a generation. And the government has no chance of winning that war. No matter how many F-35s they throw at us, in the long run, they are surrounded by armed Americans, and they will either surrender or die. There are far too many of us. And the military is not a monolith – many, if not most, will refuse to engage in actions that kill other Americans. Did you sleep through Viet Nam, Iraq and Afghanistan? They have no chance.
The US had air assets, armour and heavy artillery in Afghanistan. A country with very little natural cover in the most contested regions. After 20 years they left in defeat to a bunch of illiterate 8th century savages with no air, armour or heavy artillery.
We have the same situation in Oregon with the second amendment. The “left” in Oregon is 4 cities.
Why does Oregon allow Antifa to grow? Online videos suggest downtown Portland is a mess, which would mean city / state finances are hurt. (I’m sure Biden subsidized them short term.)
Portland is a never-ending problem for our state. The commercial district has vacated their buildings and the homeless have the run of the place. The (Soros) DA will not prosecute. ANTIFA is much smaller than you think, rented crowds are a reality. Hope their new status as domestic terrorists puts an end to this nonsense. Our lesbian governor (80K new votes in the last hours of the election) could care less. Live 80 miles away and have been there twice in the last decade (VA there is awesome)
Antifa is the enforcement division of the Democrat Party and Portland is their headquarters!
Enforcers of the Uniparty..
I would say “Watch Cuba”.
“Watch Moldova”……….personally I’m tired of watching the world as Our elections have gone to pot, even with Our constitution being set aside.
The greatest document in history has become ‘historic’ like the founders, statues, Flag, and morals………..and ready for the trash heap to get on with ‘world’ policies.
Sorry, I’m tired of the ‘world’ and want to get back to my backyard, neighborhood happenings. I didn’t even read past the headline “Watch Moldovia”……glad there was a map to see how far away it is………on the other side of the world.
I want to see citizens registered to vote, voting rolls cleaned up, , IDs required, paper ballots, hand counted, military voting before Election Day so their votes are counted ‘election’ day, ballots for homebound citizens validated, high school students helping at the polls, and the largest turnouts every election. School kids watching the process beginning to end; part of civics.
Let Moldovia take care of itself! As We take care of US.
God Help US
Sovereignty is a beautiful thing.
Why do we even bother we these stupid Europeans? Get the us out of the perpetual European conflict for good. Ww2 doesn’t mean we are forever bound to their idiocy.
It ALL started with Woody Wilson and WW1…..
That idiot has a whole lot of blood on his hands….
The deeper you go, the more obvious it is…
Not to mention both the 16th and 17th Amendments!
better say ..his wife been in the control for most of his presidency….
True…
And Commies learn from their successes…
Enter Sniffy Joe Bribem….
We’ve seen that play before…..
The last 18 months or so after Woody’s stroke.
Agree. The EU is nothing but the Fourth Reich with another name and headed by a Nazi in my opinion.
Can we keep a GPS tracker on the whereabout of Victory Nuland? I am sure in addition to the UK/Euros, she has her finger in this pot.
Alex Soros is one to keep an eye on there.
Not to mention Samantha Power.
…
President Trump finally declared Antifa a terrorist organization. A tough call politically but an easy common sense decision. OK, so how about Islam? Not terrorist groups in Islam but “Islam”. You can argue that they are a religion and they are most certainly a cult but do you really not think that they are a terrorist organization by every definition of what we think a terrorist organization is???
One could very easily make that determination using direct quotes from their so called holy book, and actions from around the world.
Notice they are laying low in this country. The mayhem will begin when their numbers increase.
Agree. Islam is the ONE problem affecting the entire world, and especially the US. We will never be safe from this 13th century death cult of a religion until every last Islamic is evicted from our shores and sent packing. If we do have a civil war in America, I believe it will start with true Patriots rising up against the Islamic invasion and taking matters into their own hands. We cannot and must not end up like the UK and Europe. Islam Must Go!
7th century oppressive retrograde socio – political system.
…”Moldovan authorities carried out scores of raids on Monday over alleged Russian-backed efforts to destabilise the country, police said, ahead of a parliamentary election which officials believe the Kremlin is trying to influence through meddling.
[…] The co-leader of Moldova’s pro-Russian Patriotic Bloc, which is expected to pose a stiff challenge to the ruling pro-European Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS), said some members were targeted.
“The criminal PAS regime is trying to intimidate us, frighten the people, and silence us,” Igor Dodon, a former president, said on the Telegram messaging app.”…

Sounds like they have hired Comey and Wray.
RussiaRussiaRussia International, Inc.
Anybody believe the Russians are not neck deep in this as well? The only European entity worse than the EU is Russia. Romania is reluctant to reclaim Moldova because 1) financial balance 2) Gypsy central.
I’d be interested to know why you make the statement that Russia is the only
European entity worse than EU.
From an America first perspective I see EU as worse. It would be a shame to have to team up with Russia yet again to vanquish Western Europe, like we did 80 years ago.
The EU can be reformed or eliminated. Russia has a thousand year old mindset that seems to preclude that. Elvira Barry is a Russian author who has a YT channel that explores Russian perspectives- might be of interest.
Nobody likes being encicled by enemies. Russia has a long history of being attacked. And they know what this means.
Perhaps they should behave in a manner that does not make enemies of ALL their neighbors. Russians are like the woke in that they demand everybody participate in their psychosis. Poland has a long history of being attacked as well.
What? No multiple candidates “dying suddenly” yet as with the AfD in Germany a couple of weeks before their elections?
The Europhilic party must be confident the 500,000 mail in ballots will be repeated for the win. Will be interesting to see how many this go round.
Where did they get the “intelligence” to make such efforts? See my Nuland post above.
all of the international shenanigans that Nuland et al are probably involved in is a HUGE reason that Pam Bondi should be paper their axxex with indictments and arrests. If we cant put an ankle bracelet on the or a tracker on their car, hold them without bond til trial. It was good enough for J6ers.
Agree!
Nuland is still active.
DOGE knee capped USAID. 👏👏
But we are still funding NED…which is/was the
other arm of USAID.
Nuland is on the Board of Directors of NED.
🤷♀️ 🤷♀️ 🤷♀️
Why do you believe the UniParty didn’t steal the 2024 presidential election as it did the 2020? Fundamental question that I’ve commented on above. It’s not because it didn’t try.
IMHO, the election fraud machine focused on stealing the downballot races in 2024, doing so with fair success on that side of the election fraud ledger. At least four Senate races and some number of House races were stolen.
Unless the election integrity movement is more successful than it has been so far in getting ready for the upcoming theft of the 2026 election cycle, Democrats will control Congress in January 2027.
Just one more example of the Deep State/UniParty/Globalist/Financial and Industrial Complex interfering in elections around the world.
These people are evil and they are willing to steal elections and overthrow governments anywhere in the world to satisfy their lust for power and money.
Confuse the masses.
Weaponized government taking out the opposition. Predictable and disgusting!
The set up.
Page 1.
Step 1.
Just blew in on the Breibart wire….
https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2025/09/22/moldova-detains-74-people-accused-of-plotting-pro-russia-riot-ahead-of-sundays-national-elections/
You knew the Moldovan Election was rigged when there was a Water Main break at 3 am Atlanta Time.
All of this sure does sound like history rhyming once again. Ukraine part two. Does war ever really leave Europe?
War is essential to West Europe. Think about 500 years of colonialism that supported the lifestyles of both rich and poor.
The Marshal plan was a mistake.
Pretty sure that 80 years without a major war in Europe is the exception.
Not until the White Europeans are depopulated…..
Well expect it to be cancelled by Wednesday.
Transnistria? Sounds like a globalist stronghold.
Gotta wonder if they have trans people in their military too.
When was Norm Eisen there, and who was his last point of contact??
So Moldova is the American 2020 presidential election in miniature, complete with whatever number of mail-in ballots is required to sway the election in the globalists’ favor.
Consider that besides the very real NATO Expansion Activity, President Putin also launched the Ukraine Operation due to the dangerous plight of the “Russians” living in the Ukrainian Territory that he now holds and is advancing to acquire.
Soon after the rigged election in Moldova, two events will occur:
An EU supported pogrom vs Russians in Moldova to create a magnet to draw the Russians, into:
Continuing their advance across the Southern Ukraine.
Introducing Russian Special Forces into Moldova.
Deploying Russian Airborne assets into Moldova.
Moldova will join NATO, to set up a Section 5 NATO Defensive Response scenario.
The Russian Army and Navy still has some reach and contain:
Very capable Special Forces Regiments-Brigades
Very capable FSB Detachments
Several Very Capable Airborne Brigades-Divisions.
[Historical Note: Since 1939, Russian Naval Forces provided some very capable elements to land combat in Russia. While, the NKVD (now FSB) also provided the same.]
It’s all so tiresome
This is all another reason to pull our assets FROM Locations in Europe (or at least those added by Biden in 2022 as well as out of RANGE of the conflict) while staying in NATO (to keep the US Congress out of the equation) … as well as declaring the Ukraine and Moldova ARE ISSUES that EU brought upon themselves and NOT considered covered under the AUTOMATIC Triggers of the NATO Charter.
The current obligatory treaty situation, as it exists, looks exactly like the situation before the start of WWI. There were (and are today via NATO) AUTOMATIC Treaty Triggers that mandated the Start of WWI. Likewise the AUTOMATIC Triggers exist to cause a Major War between NATO Members and Russia. Hence President Trump has to clearly state that current EU actions have NEGATED the AUTOMATIC Provisions of the NATO Charter.
<It’s all so tiresome>
Dex…Sounds like you’re more concerned about the mold over your sink 🙂
feel same for sometime…when this freak show end….???
Russia has had soldiers in Transnistria guarding a massive weapons depot since the USSR broke up.
The EU wants the weapons for Ukraine.
Russia will blow them up before that happens.
Disclaimer: I am stating what I have read over a period of time.
The statement ‘war with Russia’ always catches my attention. Does anyone believe that if the nations over there join forces against Russia, they’ll be fighting just them? What of BRICS? Also, right now it seems Russia could cripple many nations by simply turning off the gas. No nation fights alone.
For the PRESENT …. BRICS is primarily an Economic Alliance. The Political and Economic diversity of its members precludes BRICS as a coherent Military Bloc … there have been a scattering a “join exercises” for show and to create Headlines but no moves (YET) towards anything more.
That is actually the PRIMARY REASON nations are willing to join BRICS … there are NO Political nor Military Obligations involved … its all focused on economics and trade.
There are BRICS members who are still US allies and trading partners.
That being said, BRICS can be used as an economic weapon and there are “members” of BRICS who may make an INDIVIDUAL (outside BRICS) decision to send material support to Russia and/or apply as mush Diplomatic Pressure as is possible.
Thank you for giving me much information. However, even if its economics, etc., should other nations attack Russia even through a curtain, would not those nations help Russia if for no better reason than economics.
Good question.
Maybe and maybe not.
That is the strength and weakness of the BRICS Economic Alliance. Any economic based response by a BRICS member or BRICS as a bloc is complicated as follows:
There are NO obligations to act on any nation as each nation would have to assess it’s ability to act.
There would be a BRICS “conference” to assess responsesthat members may be willing to make, hosted by China Inc. and Russia.
There would be a Financial and Economic “assessment” done by each member to determine if their national economies could withstand whatever the G7 (including US and EU) would dish out. Also, for some BRICS members, there is the added assessment needed as they are also trading and regional diplomatic partners with the US.
Surely some of the lunatic lead members would act out of blind spite vs the G7, hoping China Inc. and Russia would mitigate the damage …. but those nations with reasonable leaders as well as dual as treaty obligations would have to do an assessment.
you’re counting the US. I am not. Only recently President Trump put additional tariff on India for purchasing from Russia. Unless mistaken, it was met with India continuing. President Trump is not a EU partner. We might be NATO but he’s made it clear he is not in favor of conflict. If those over there do as it seems they want, it will be without our backing.
I believe that the SCO should also

A reminder of good news in Europe
Marine Le Pens National Rally is number 1 in France
Georgia Meloni Brothers of Italy is number 1 in Italy
Right-wing Freedom Party is number 1 in Austria
The right-wing AfD party is number 1 in Germany
In UK the right-wing Reform UK party is number 1
Until the “Mail in ballots” arrive that is.
This is indeed good news but the VOTERS in these EU Nations and even Canada must consolidate to give a nationalist 51% of the seats in their Government. Because, until that happens, the “leftists” will continue to rule via coalitions holding 51% control. That 51% control by the “leftists” allows the Governments of those nations and the EU to apply legal road blocks to power by the nationalists.
Add key nations: Belgium, Poland, Holland and Romania to that list.
Good point
It would appear that anti-globalist equates to pro-Russian … at least to globalists.
We already know what’s going to happen.
If any chance for peace exists, EU/NATO will find a way to scuttle it. They want power even if it does mean hundreds of thousands of body bags.
Believe me. They want body bags….
Last week this story, EUROPE ON THE BRINK OF A NEW WAR: Participants in the “Anti-Trump” project are preparing to send Ukrainian troops into Moldova, was posted at Gateway Pundit. Look for Ukraine to create a provocation in Transnistria, a break away republic aligned with Russia.
Europe again trying to start yet another war. I think “Ukrainian Troops” is a code word for Antifa.
Isn’t it fascinating that when a globalist candidate needs mail in ballots to win election it is supposed to be great.
Conversely when election monitors see a high number of mail in ballots and the anti globalist wins its deemed fraudulent.
Election fraud everywhere EXCEPT the USA.
Yeah right.
The stupidity of the libs saying there was no fraud in 2020 is off the charts.
Those liberal progressive Morons don’t even need to have a plausible argument made.
At least if they argued that there was some voter fraud but not enough to change the election the view would have some plausible deniability attached to it.
But no the narrative for the morons is no voter fraud period.
In a country with 250,000,000 voters . No voter fraud.
Got to give it to the propagandists. They have such little respect for their morons cognitive abilities they make such ridiculous arguments as they laugh all the way to the bank.
If western european countries Become radicalized islamic societies, There are many who would approve of russia taking them on.
Then 2, if Western European countries.
Become come cultural marxist claptraps….
But then, I digress.
Note how dismissive Trump has been to the false flags that The EU has been tossing up. They just don’t get it. Trump has already gone through the Russia, Russia, Russia thing.
If the EU security services think they will lose the election in Moldova, Sandu will cancel it.
So much for “democracy”.
Well, consider that Maia Sandu’s election last year was not won by a vote of the majority of Moldovan’s who physically reside in Moldova, but by a reported half-million mail-in ballots that tipped the scales in her favor. Those same mail-in ballots also changed the results of the referendum that asked Moldovan citizens if they wanted to join the European Union. – Sundance
A know fact: Mail in ballots = fraudulent elections!!!!
What Sundance didn’t say is that many young Moldovans must work in other countries to support their families back home because Moldova is so poor and there are so few jobs available in Moldova. If you’ve traveled to Italy, for example, you will find many young Moldovan women working in the hotel industry (housekeeping, cooking, etc.); or, if you’ve traveled to Russia you would have found many Moldovan men working in the construction industry. The utter disaster that has been the Moldovan economy has created a very large Moldovan diaspora which is forever sending money home to the family. Sundance decided to write “mail-in ballots” (with all the associated imagery of fraud) instead of absentee votes (a need). Can there be fraud with absentee ballots? Sure. But there are also legitimate reasons for absentee voting and I think in the case of Moldova it’s important to understand how Moldovans are so widely dispersed around the globe, how willing they are to make sacrifices to support the old folks at home, and how absentee voting is the only option for them.
For an interesting glimpse into Moldova:
So does Somalia or Afghanistan or ??? have absentee ballot voting for all their “refugees” around the world?
I’ve been to Moldova, and the statement made in that video about it being a nice, well-run republic under the Soviet Union shows that he’s only listening to one side. Under the SU, more resources were sent to the satellite states than the heart of the country, and still all but the best off (ie, those in or with connections to the party) were dirt poor even compared to those at the “poverty” line in the US. Yes, there are still old farmers who wax poetic about the heady days of Khrushchev, but they forget about their neighbors who were disappeared, about the ham-fisted attempts to modernize that were doomed (but don’t get caught pointing out the obvious), about how you could be threatened or arrested simply for worshiping in accordance with your faith. Finally, I don’t for one second accept the legitimacy of Moldovan elections. A family friend who’s a doctor was recently fined $2000 because (they claim) he was bribed for his vote. Guess whether he was for or against the pro-EU referendums and the current government…. Ok, you can’t: he was against them. And how would they know what his vote was?
I agree with you. Life as a Soviet Republic wasn’t the best, but I think the point of his video was that a large number of Moldovans believe the social consistency under the USSR was more preferable than what they have now after the theft of the state treasury by the last communist regime and the ensuing collapse of normal life. Did you notice in the video how few young people were scene? It’s truly a “senior” state…young Moldovans look to work abroad or have left the country permanently. Moldova is an economic and financial black-hole and it’s unlikely to ever improve regardless of whether it receives assistance from the EU or BRICS or unilaterally from Russia or any other country. It really is a place no one wants.
I don’t think there’s any doubt that the video presents the situation in Moldova as better under the SU, for what it’s worth. Otherwise, you are right about the demographics. Some friends we lived with briefly in the 90s had kids about our same age as us; two of the three of them are no longer residents, and the third spent a fair portion of her life living and working abroad. That’s pretty typical; we knew whole families who’ve packed up and left (usually a laborious process, especially coming to the US).
It’s hard to avoid that situation though: under the best of circumstances, it would have taken decades before Moldova’s economy reached the point where there were opportunities to match those readily available in W. Europe. Unfortunately, many if not most post-Soviet leaders are on the take on some level (including the current president), and even the ones whose hearts were in the right place were often out of their depth. At a time when they were most receptive to forging a new path, the leadership they got from the West was highly conflicted and often counter-productive. Clinton’s state department was no less than a hot mess, for one. Matt Taibbi’s perspective on post-Soviet Russia is quite enlightening: he actually learned Russian and dug into what was really going on there in the 90s; most western reporting was very lazy and only really interested in stories of the country westernizing and “great success!”
It’s pretty sad, because there’s no physical reason for Moldova to be a black hole. They do have rich farmland and a temperate climate. But it’s like they don’t want business; the government certainly doesn’t seem interested in putting forth the effort to develop a good climate for it. When we lived there in 94/95, we got to know a family from Texas; he’d been involved in food canning and production (or something along those lines), and went there with a plan to move some equipment there and bootstrap some agricultural production. Despite the potential, that went literally nowhere, and he actually ended up pastoring a church. Along similar lines, it was (may still be) literally impossible to run anything with just one set of books. The taxes and graft were such that you had basically no choice but to cook the books and bribe your way out of it.
Sad to say, but the most interesting thing about the country when I was there a year ago was seeing all the Soviet infrastructure in varying stages of decay. At least there are plenty of shops and restaurants now (not even so much as a McDonald’s when we lived there), but that’s mostly helpful to me, who can afford it, not the average citizen. It doesn’t have to be that way, but there’s still the lingering Soviet “the state will do it” mentality, distrust of anyone proposing real change (justifiable to a some extent), and general lack of resources. If only they’d had some bold, honest, forward-looking leaders in the 90s, things could be much different now. I suppose it’s like building a house in a blizzard though: too tempting to burn the wood you need to built it to keep warm. But you’ve got to find a way. No country should be a place nobody in their right mind would want to go to.
Sounds like the CIA is getting stretched indeed.; maybe overextension is President Trump’s plan to sink them.
We need to get our own house in order. Moldova is not on my radar. Washington, DC is on my radar.
Does Putin believe Moldova belongs or belongs in or – back in the former Soviet Union?
From what I have heard/read of his
actual statements, his preference
would be for Moldova to remain
Sovereign and Neutral.

Reason is….

Robert Kagan Foresees Critical Geopolitical Juncture
Neocon godfather Robert Kagan has written a new column for the Atlantic—and his decrees on the Ukraine war usually presage a critical time, for which he is summoned to rustle up urgent support. Most know Kagan as the husband of Victoria Nuland and co-founder of the seminal Project for a New American Century which has been credited with laying the blueprints for America’s disastrous Middle Eastern entanglements in the post-9/11 era.
The article was spurred by the drone scare over Poland—which we now understand had all the trappings of a false flag or hoax. Kagan frames it as being a kind of crossroads wherein Trump and America’s commitment to NATO has reached its “put-up-or-shutup” final decisive moment. It should be mentioned, on this note, that Trump just earlier today did claim that he would ‘protect Poland’ and the Baltic states if “Russia keeps escalating”.
Here we glimpse one notable pathology in Kagan which again rears its head later: the sly brushing-under-the-rug of repercussions which doom his own argument (much less his own civilization). He quickly dismisses nuclear war as merely a zero-sum loss for Russia, covering up the fact that his own beloved ‘Western Order’ would likewise disappear, which sort of precludes the arguments he’s making; i.e. if Russia would “doom” itself by launching strikes on NATO, then NATO would likewise be dooming itself by attacking Russia in the ways he’s suggesting. This is precisely why cooler heads in Biden’s administration had thought better of it—but it seems Kagan’s ardent loyalties to the West belie his wanton indifference to the West’s destruction.
Building off of this obscuring excursus, Kagan continues with callous unscrupulous geopolitics:
Then came Russia’s disastrous invasion. As many as 190,000 Russian troops—essentially Putin’s entire deployable army at that time—were literally bogged down in the mud, trapped in Ukraine and under attack from surprisingly resilient Ukrainian forces. Surely Putin was in a panic at that point, for had NATO even threatened to take any action—such as blowing up the Kursk bridge and thereby trapping his army in Ukraine—he would have been left with the choice of surrender or all-out nuclear war. He could not have used nuclear weapons in Ukraine without irradiating his own troops, and even if he did, the United States and NATO would be left untouched and capable of striking conventionally at whatever remained of his forces: checkmate.
This passage is remarkable because it demonstrates the sheer lawlessness and amorality of the theoretical framework under which Kagan’s world view operates. There is a kind of coldblooded aloofness to the horrors of war and mass extinction which finds comfort in his soul. The casualness with which he invokes NATO strikes on Russia while bragging “Checkmate!” like it’s some kind of tabletop game is a window into the man’s coldly inhuman metaphysics. This is only underscored by his seeming regret the US did not carry out such unprovoked attacks on Russia which would potentially see humanity’s swift extinction.
If he truly believes Russia was within its rights to do that, then how could he possibly justify NATO’s own continued aggression against Russia? We can only surmise that Kagan and his ilk operate in a kind of nihilistic winner-take-all vacuum where anything goes and concerns for petty ‘principles’ are left to those unfortunates without the luxury of immunity from accountability.

“If the EU loses the support of the Moldovan parliament, it would be much harder to utilize the Romanian NATO military base for a European war against Russia, a war they have been trying to provoke with increased aggressiveness.”
If the Europeans wanted a European war against Russia there would already have been and/or be a European war against Russia. Putin just isn’t all that hard to provoke. He’s not exactly Jesus, after all.
I was a Peace Corp volunteer in Moldova from 1997 to 1999. Moldova is a a very small country and being manipulated in every direction. It’s also a mixture of cultures and languages. It was majority Romanian speaking villages but everybody spoke Russian as well and the capital city was majority Russian speaking. It didn’t appear to me at the time that there was a lot of animosity between the Romanian and Russian Moldovans but there was some. Often times when visiting the capital Chisinau from my village I would find it to my benefit to speak English rather than Romanian even if no one understood me. If I spoke English they were impressed but if I spoke Romanian, they would respond in Russian until they realized eventually that I did not speak Russian and I think they then assumed I was an idiot. People were nostalgic for the old Unia Sovetica and they remembered better times and had pride in there former glory, military strength, agricultural prowess and great wine. The government was amazingly corrupt and easily manipulated with foreign aid. Any young person who excelled in speaking english could get a job for an international organization translating documents or working for the Soros Foundation, which was ubiquitous, funding everything everywhere with there particular caveats. Peace corp volunteers transitioned from teachers in small villages to organization leaders in the myriad NGO’s, World bank, IMF startups feeding off the rot and decay of a dying empire. European countries were battling over who was going to own the infrastructure projects and run the utilities as gas, water and electric were still being rationed and the grid was not designed for private households and could not be metered individually. I honestly don’t know what the majority of Moldovans feel today, but I think I’m going to find out. I still know people.
What Is Left What is Right by Cleon Skousen from Favorite Speeches Vol 1
Cleon Skousen from Favorite Speeches Vol 1
Why have there been Russian drones in Poland and Russian MiG-31s in Estonian airspace?
What larger strategy do these actions link into? Retaliatory?
Why has Putin repeatedly blown off PDJT?
Because he can blow off President Trump and because he likes blowing off President Trump. It feds his ego and makes him feel almost omnipotent.
Because someone wants to induce NATO (“equals USA”) to openly declare World War III on Russia.
After all, it has been eighty years since we last had “World War.” Much too long . . .
That doesn’t answer any of the questions.
In these two instances – there is an identifiable actor: Russia. This actor is conducting aggressive actions outside of Ukraine.
If you believe that this is warranted, then say so.
It’s a complicated situation, obviously, this whole Ukrainian war. Indeed, CIA/Obama/Nuland had their invisible hands moving the 2014 Maidan Coup. What has not been added to the context is that Russian mafia/oligarchy were up to their earlobes in in corrupt Ukraine well before 2014.
There are no victims in this drama. Both sides are bad actors.
Estonia changed their airspace recently to include the path of Russian military flights. The drones were dummies, no warheads, and could have been salvaged and redeployed by Ukraine or Poland. Russia denied any involvement! Russian drones would have to fly the length of Ukraine to reach Poland. Not really feasible.
Yes Phil, except Russia isn’t the one funneling our tax payer dollars to Ukrainian oligarchs, and sending kickbacks to US politicians via arms manufacturers…
That does not undercut my outlook: neither side of this war is trustworthy. We should not be aligning with either side. Putin is a bad actor – always has been. Zelensky is an authoritarian installed by Western gov’ts.
It remains to be examined what the strategic plan ought to be for confronting Globalist sympathizing gov’ts – what this piece is about. That war is being fought primarily on economic/financial fields of conflict – not kinetic.
Her pained expression is the result of shaking those fluid filled fingers. It must be like touching a decaying cadaver.
Strange health issue for someone who only ate organic meat and veg from his own estates.
The great globalists crave prosperity for themselves. They don’t give a fig for anyone who is not one of them. See Ukraine punched up by NATO.
Well I ain’t no rocket scientist, so I’m looking at a map showing me exactly where Moldavia is and then googling Transnistria to see where and what it is….
I was kinda stunned. It seems to me that the EU globalists are incredibly stupid to open this front. Given what Russia will gain if they take territory all the way to Transland, Russia is probably HOPING for the provocation!
So, its the first time I looked closely at those the maps showing the territory Russia occupied/controlled in the Ukraine and it ain’t rocket science to see the benefit to Russia and the Russian people.
I mean, sheesh, if I didn’t know the globalists and corruptocrats are the ones keeping this war going, I’d think that Zelenskyy is Putin’s puppet, not the other way around!
Russia now has an excuse to continue fighting and expand Russian territory (that is already primarily Russian people) ALL THE WAY to the Black Sea.
If the Euro globalists continue to provoke the Russians into this (like they did in yhe Ukraine) and the Russians continue to win like they have in the past…. they expand to the Black Sea.
I see all this now as mere desperation by the globalists as their empire crumbles from unstoppable populist movements. The globalists cannot win, but they will cling to the grift as long as they can no matter how many people die.
Thanks SD for the heads-up. A Moldova that could deny overflight rights to NATO a/c would be a very bitter pill to the globalists in Brussels.
Thank You for providing the maps , Sundance 😊
MNN BREAKING…
MOLDOVA VOTES TO CHANGE NAME OF COUNTRY TO “MILDEWVA”
ITS PROGRESS
I been looking at that map for an hour.
Nothing happened.
President Trump personally invited Vladimir Putin to visit the United States next summer to watch the World Soccer Championship together. I don’t think there’s anything to watch for!
It has been repeatedly stated that the UK is one of the biggest advocators of continued and escalated war with Russia.
It is well worth remembering that the British were actively proposing Operation Unthinkable, immediately after “V-E Day,” in which they would turn on and invade their former USSR “ally.” Using seized German warplanes and tanks. I don’t think that this notion has ever been forgotten by the British. Even though the USSR is gone, Russia remains an irresistible fountain of natural resources. At least to some . . .
Victoria Newland even spelled it out: “Russia” would be broken along natural-resource lines into forty-odd little “countries.” She even gave each one a name, and a flag. All of them would be helpless, forever dependent on “the West,” and they would quickly give over their resources to pay their bills.
So the fantasy went.
Great Sh*tain and Prance could barely take Smelgium in a fight let alone Russia. Like our other allies they just want to get our logistics, men and money in a war. Kagan(s) Nuland should be declared domestic terrorists.
“Great Sh*tain and Prance could barely take Smelgium in a fight let alone Russia.”
Hence the desperate provocations in Poland to goad the US into fighting Russia on their behalf.
Why does Trump put up with this crap from the Euros.
I ask myself that same question, Richard. End the $$$ and weapons to Ukraine and the war stops 20 minutes later!
My family actually lived in Moldova when I was a boy in 94/95, and I was just back there a year ago (shortly before the pro-EU constitutional referendum). Both now, and back then, the East-West split was apparent: much like Ukraine (I set foot there briefly in ’94), most people consider themselves on one side or the other. I don’t think the divisions are so strong that the factions are incapable of compromising and forging a new identity – UNLESS the meddling from the EU/US (and to a lessor degree, Russia) continues or grows.
Right now, it’s a difficult place to live unless you’re independently wealthy. The inflation and high prices mentioned (relative to most of Eastern Europe; things are cheaper than here in the US) are hitting hard. There’s a double-whammy: a lot of wealthier people from Ukraine fled to Moldova, driving up housing in particular; meanwhile the government seeking to cut itself off from Russia has left them paying EU prices for most energy. There are stories of people in villages in particular having to get by only heating one room during the winter – or worse. Moldova has enough challenges already; to try to push such a poor country to EU-style energy policy and business and environmental regulations is to guarantee abject poverty and no future for the few with the inclination to tough it out. The only advantage to EU membership for the average Moldovan is to make it easier to flee to the west for better jobs.
Maybe worse, we have a doctor friend who’s fighting a fine for “selling his vote.” He was a friend and sometimes translator we met when we lived there. He was in medical school then, and ended up doing residency and living in the US for five years or so before moving back. He now makes his living off telework, but does a lot of missions outreach (both Christian evangelizing and free medical assistance). He is hard against the EU-ization of Moldova; I don’t think you’d say he’s pro-Russia, but he may have some leanings. He voted against the current president and the pro-EU constitutional amendments, and was recently visited by the police. They claimed he must have taken bribes for his vote, and issued a ~$2000 fine (which he’s fighting, obviously). Possibly this is just them targeting a relatively wealthy person, but either way it’s a terrible look: is it “just” a corrupt cash grab, or a corrupt exercise in election influencing? In a “democratic republic.” And how creepy is it that they would know how he voted?
Anyway, it’s interesting to see what seemed like such an inconsequential country when I was a boy suddenly become something of a lynch pin. And I don’t say “inconsequential” out of any disrespect: there is a lot more history and potential there than its meager statistics would suggest. But they’ve suffered much over the centuries, usually as a vassal of some greater power, and western meddling (despite the money it’s brought in) has done nothing to help them grow out of the ashes of post-Soviet independence. There is much to be watching – and praying – over.
He voted against the current president and the pro-EU constitutional amendments, and was recently visited by the police. They claimed he must have taken bribes for his vote, and issued a ~$2000 fine (which he’s fighting, obviously).
How did they know how he voted? Even if he claimed to have voted one way that is no evidence. As a prospective EU member I assume Moldova has ballot secrecy. Or maybe not….
There are other explanations – like they found something on social media, or someone reported him over something he said. But he’s not that outspoken on politics that I’ve seen, and I don’t think he’s active with any particular party or movement. I’m sure Moldova’s laws call for a secret ballot, but it’s not something I would bank on for a minute, given the level of corruption.
Sandu and her handlers saw what happened in Georgia, where they loudly and resolutely told the NATO posse to stuff it.
Georgia may not have a 2nd Amendment, but they do have a lot of very smart, gritty and well armed men, who hold no love for Russia, but who were determined to maintain their independence and freedom from an equally threatening force, which now appears poised to swallow up Moldova.
Mail in voting is poison.
If the EU loses the support of the Moldovan parliament, it would be much harder to utilize the Romanian NATO military base for a European war against Russia, a war they have been trying to provoke with increased aggressiveness.
I cannot but agree with this statement, despite the fact that it paints an unfathomable policy of the EU countries. How can the European leaders with their “Rolls Royce minds” (yes, sarcasm) forget that Russia is still a (if not the) leading nuclear power? An open conflict between EU/NATO and Russia may well end up in a nuclear war. The really weird thing is that in the 70s and 80s it was the European leaders of the same socialist bent that were so afraid that Europe would become a nuclear battlefield that they were very weak allies of the US and Britain. Now on the other hand nothing can stop their “Drang nach Osten” (longing for the East). Weird!
Those same mail-in ballots also changed the results of the referendum that asked Moldovan citizens if they wanted to join the European Union.
According to Wikipedia the results of the EU referendum was as follows:
Yes (to the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union): 749 719 votes = 50.35%
No (to the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union): 739 155 votes = 49.65%
The vote difference in favour of Yes: 10 564 votes.
Votes from abroad (postal votes): 235 506 votes (15.8% of the total valid votes). Yes = 180 836 votes (76.79%); No = 54667 votes (23.21%). Difference in favour of Yes: 126 169 votes.
Even Wikipedia acknowledges that Moldovas decision to acceed to the EU was determined by the voters living abroad. Actually the voters living in Moldova voted quite convincingly against accession: ca 54.6% No vs 45.4 Yes.
No wonder that the Moldovan government (and the EU satraps) may feel a bit worried.
