Originally reported by the Washington Post, apparently Charlie Kirk’s assassin, Tyler Robinson, confessed in a chat room just a few hours before he turned himself in.

Additionally, as state law enforcement and FBI now say they are expanding their investigation to identify if there was a network working with Tyler Robinson (which seems obvious based on the Discord chat), attention is now being paid to militant transgender groups and NGOs in the Utah area who seem to connect to Robinson and his transgender boyfriend Lance Twiggs.
All of the research being done is preliminary; however, there does appear to be a Utah network of people within the militant left, connected to both Antifa outlooks and armed transgender activism. The scope of how the networks connect to various funding mechanisms is not yet clear, but radicalization does not happen in a vacuum.
“Armed Queers SLC” and a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) known as “Utah Global Diplomacy,” partly funded by the UN appear to be two groups in the region with connections to the overall militant transgender movement: a preliminary motive being explored by federal investigators.
The fact that Tyler Robinson was in a Discord chat group with approximately 30 other individuals, does indicate some network of mutually aligned interests that seem to circle around far-left transgender activism.

Discord has said that an internal investigation found “no evidence that the suspect planned this incident or promoted violence on Discord.”

A vest designed to “stop” a pistol round will not stop a larger-caliber (and higher velocity) rifle round. A 30-06 is an extremely high velocity round designed to travel very far with less bullet drop. If the round was a 150gr FMJ, it would pierce soft flesh with minimal tissue damage. It is no surprise whatsoever that his neck was not blown apart.
In contrast, a 9mm round from a pistol would have caused a lot more tissue damage.

But the FMJ 150 or 180 will pass through targets and continue to hit other objects behind it. Just as how you described taking out two deer with one round.

I loved Charlie Kirk and his mission. That is one reason why I am uncomfortable with the cancel culture/censorship we seem to be promoting. Charlie Kirk was about freedom of speech. He was fighting for restoration of that on college campuses. I know we are angry, but we cannot become the left in our anger and hurt. We cannot become the oppressors. Freedom of speech is also about defending speech we don’t like, we don’t agree with. We cannot forget that. While employers should be able to punish vile speech at work if it is affecting the work environment, people should be able to say whatever they want in the privacy of their homes or even outside of work. And I believe private internet accounts are included in that as well as private phone calls. I know that freedom of speech does not include yelling fire in a theater where physical harm can occur from that speech. But tread lightly, treepers. Check that need for revenge. We are promoting what appears to me to be hate speech laws and all you have to do is look at England to see how that is working. And it runs counter to Charlie’s mission.

I think a lot of us felt that guy was a purposeful distraction at the time. Its good to see them at least finally reporting that this dirtbag was indeed trying to aid the killer. He should get serious hard-time as an accessory after the fact if there is any justice to be served. I don’t think the law even requires that the killer and this idiot have to know each other either, so that wouldn’t be a defense.

Yet even in the darkness, there are points of light and brightness. There are strong people who are determined to collect themselves, and continue onward and upward in spite of the horror and they shine with love and hope.
Has anyone in the Democrat Party expressed sorrow over what has happened? I haven’t seen or heard anyone in a position of authority in the Democrat Party express a real or true emotion that could equate to sympathy. Instead, the ones I have seen have been calling for “unity”, or let’s “come together” – which seems to be their way of taking advantage of a situation to promote their agenda.

I did not know or “follow” Charlie Kirk. Only tangentially knew of him through posts on this site and another that I frequent.
