Originally the information came from Fox News journalist Brooke Singman who stated, “Charlie Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson lived with his transgender partner, sources tell me. The individual, who is a male transitioning to a female, is fully cooperating with the FBI. Sources tell me the FBI had texts and other communications between Robinson and the individual that helped FBI authorities solidify that Robinson was indeed the shooter.”
This aligns with the story within the probable cause affidavit. If Tyler Robinson (22) was in a romantic relationship with his roommate/partner Lance Twiggs (22), a biological male transitioning to be a woman, i.e. transsexual, the shooter’s motive gains considerable clarity. The Daily Mail is now filling in some of the details.
(Via Daily Mail) – A 22-year-old wannabe professional gamer who lived with Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin gave cops incriminating text messages leading to his arrest.
Lance Twiggs turned over Tyler Robinson, who lived with him in a three-bedroom apartment in Saint George, Utah, the Daily Mail can reveal.
Twiggs showed police texts from Robinson about stashing a gun linked to Wednesday’s shooting of the prominent conservative activist at Utah Valley University (UVU), a law enforcement affidavit said.
His identity was revealed as separate reports emerged from Fox and the New York Post which stated that Robinson was living with a ‘transgender partner’ who is co-operating with the investigation.

The transgender partner is wearing an animal costume, a “furry”? Why would Tyler have messaged this roommate to “retrieve the gun”? Wasn’t the roommate in their shared apartment, 260 miles away from campus?
Per the arrest affidavit, Tyler’s Dodge Challenger arrives on campus at 08:29 am. Charlie is shot at 12:23 pm. Where was Tyler for 4 hours, and what was he doing? Where was his car actually parked, or was he dropped off? Is there toll footage of his car along this 260 mile route, either coming or going? Is there footage of the car leaving campus? What time? How many occupants?
i saw an excellent video, perhaps on this site, discussing the campus layout. Roof to Charlie’s tent 140 yards. An exterior staircase led to the roof. Why jump from the roof? The parking lot adjacent to the Losee Center, literally at Tyler’s feet once he jumps, provides easy entrance and exit from campus. A 30 second drive to the highway, and escape. Why not park there? He had 4 hours to select an opportune spot, if indeed he wasn’t dropped off. Does the external staircase have cameras? The internal stairwell certainly does, and frankly, that would be expected. Plus, more likely to run into others in the internal stairwell, who might remember him.
Why not take the external staircase, avoid the jump off the roof, and quick getaway from the convenient parking lot. No 12 foot jump, no limping gait through an adjacent neighborhood laced with cameras, no need to abandon the rifle for “later retrieval”. And the elaborately engraved shell casings? Did this guy (or his handlers) want his capture?
All the speculation about the gun carriage (can’t be broken down, not seen in his skinny jeans as he ascends the stairwell, etc) could be put to rest if the FBI or local authorities make him reenact the scene. Show us.

I know that a capable shooter does not need a signal to hit his target from this yardage, but how to account for the split second timing? Charlie had already been speaking for 20 minutes. Was the shooter able to hear the Q & A, from that distance, on the rooftop? Was he signaled?

Although my firearms knowledge is deficient (but, at least improving), my medical knowledge is extensive. Could Tyler be this sure? How long does it take to reload a single bolt rifle? And if it’s too risky (jamming, etc) or too slow to reload, why use that particular weapon? In fact, why not use a rifle that can be easily disassembled? Evil intent aside, I can’t make sense of the strategy.
The heinous murder of this good, good man has affected me deeply. Of course, I am not alone.

I find it odd that he left university study after one semester, even with college credits while in HS dual enrollment program that would’ve had him about halfway to a Bachelor’s degree to go to a small technical college that most take only a year to complete. He chose an engineering apprentice program in tech school that takes three years to complete, was almost done with that.
It’s an odd study path for someone with high ACT’s, scholarship, to go into trades instead. Not a bad one, Mike Rowe would say, just odd. Especially for a progressive (Marxist) nutter.

i don’t think he was radicalized in college, for several reasons. He attended a large state school, on a merit scholarship. He was studying electrical engineering in Utah, vs say, Womyn’s Studies at Harvard. And only one semester.
I’m a STEM grad. The leftist indoctrination was blatant, but it was confined to the liberal arts courses, and perhaps a few of the smaller, upper level science classes. Those initial STEM classes, especially first semester, were used to cull the weaker students. And in his big state school, in those huge intro classes, he would have just been a number anyway. Another thought, his short-lived college experience would have coincided with the shamdemic. Were his classes on-line? Away from home for the first time, he wouldn’t have been the first college kid to pack it up and head home, if that was his “college experience”.

However, there has been a rash of trans murders and that is where my suspicions lie. Ok, there are tensions between Kirk and Israeli first crowd. Got it. I just returned home this evening from a Messianic Jew conference. One of the speakers had a son that was on duty. The father requested that we keep his son and others in our prayers. So very dangerous.
He explained that his son called him and told him that he was handed a shovel and that they were tasked to look for hostages. Another speaker informed us that his ministry’s headquarters had been completely levelled by Iranian ballistic missile.

The Greyzone magazine and the authors of this article are suspect. Even Wikipedia calls the Greyzone “fringe” and “far left”. Blumenthal is virulently anti Israel and anti American. He is said to publish propaganda in support of his socialist views. Caution is recommended when reading anything by him.

The way I took it was that Tyler was telling his roommate that he (Tyler) was planning to go back and retrieve the gun.
Yep, considered that. So either Tyler was lurking close by after the shooting, or he had an accomplice. But if he lurks, he risks getting caught. If he heads back home, he’s gotta realize the gun will be found before he could return for its retrieval (a 520 mile round trip). If it’s a rifle that can’t be broken down, he must have anticipated that it could draw attention, post-shooting. . So, was his plan, all along, to ditch the rifle, with its elaborately engraved casings, so that it would be found?
Footage and time stamps of his car would help a lot.
Saw a video of Tyler (or someone) jump off the roof. Didn’t see the rifle in his hands or slung over his shoulder, etc … . If this is the case, when/how did he ditch the rifle in the woods (or where ever). i saw footage of the crowd, after the shot, all cowering and ducking for cover. Except for one guy, long hair, face clearly visible, facing away from the stage. He stood tall, pumping his fists.
I cannot bring myself to watch the actual murder moment, but I wonder if Charlie fell out of the chair so quickly after being shot that there wasn’t time for a second shot?
Also, some who did watch said that the bullet actually hit his body armor and ricocheted up into his neck, a shot you could never plan.

DangerRanger shared his knowledge of the bolt action rifle. 1.5-2 seconds to get off a second shot. So yes, there was time.
First, a Mauser bolt-action rifle stock can be removed by unscrewing only to bolts. Second, if said rifle was equipped with a folding stock, the stock could only be about 20 inches long or less with the stock folded. But the rifle barrel and receiver is the issue, since they are normally about 24 to 28 inches long. I suspect the shooter dropped the rifle off the roof into some bushes. He had to keep the backpack because it contained his change of clothes. You can see him with it when he drops off the roof. He ran away on foot because his car was likely parked away from the University. Also, he had to change clothes so he wouldn’t be identified by what he was wearing accessing and leaving the roof. Perhaps, he came back after he changed clothes and moved the rifle to “the woods” where it was found. Or, he could have had an accomplice move it. For your benefit, it only takes about 1.5 to 2 seconds to chamber a second cartridge from the internal magazine in a bolt action rifle like the one in issue here.
The kid ran to the edge of the roof holding the rifle wrapped in fabric; a towel, presumably. Watch closely and you’ll see him neatly drop that horizontal, rather slim, package into what looks like a roof gutter. Watch more closely and you’ll see him lower himself off the roof with both hands, then reach with right hand and grab the rifle, then drop to the ground.
Once on the ground he re-wraps the rifle in the towel and hustles off with the rifle/towel. He points one end towards the ground and puts the other end close to his body as he approaches the road, and he must stop to wait for one car to pass before he crosses the road.
He carried it down. I think he threw it up to the roof to get it up there. If he broke it down somewhere, he put it back together when he walked across the street to the forest. It appears he got into a shooting stance and tried to carjack the truck that drove by him but he quickly jumped out of the way and the video cuts out. The gun was found in the towel fully assembled.
He may have had the stock removed to conceal it on his way into the university. That would explain the screwdriver found on the roof. A screwdriver is necessary to remove the stock or reattach it.
Thanks Danger! That explains a lot. It seems that if he wanted, the shooter had time for a second shot. In the arrest affidavit, he’s noticed to have an unusual gait initially, which is not seen once he’s taken his shot and runs along the roof, but then reappears later. I assumed the later limp was due to the 12 foot jump, but wondering about the initial limp. Equipment related?
His car was spotted on campus at 08:29 am. So either he parked on campus, left campus and parked off-campus, or entered campus with an accomplice, who dropped him off and left campus.
Campus cameras captured the car’s entrance, they should capture its exit too. The time stamp would help.
Could be he saw the result through the scope.
…Or just panicked and the adrenaline kicked in.

I’ve been lurking here for quite some time (previously ejected from another site for some, shall we say, “unappreciated” sleuthing),, so I have been learning from Sundance and you all for some time.
Charlie’s death called me to jump off the sidelines. Good to be here.
A Mauser .30-06 bolt-action rifle can take up to 10 seconds to reload. It is not a semi-automatic, in that it firing the gun does not load the next round into place. There are some gadgets to load it faster, it’s not clear if this shooter had this.
So given that, the shooter only really had one shot, knowing if he missed, Kirk would be whisked away by security in 10 seconds.
If the shooter was a trans-ally, he may have believed that the crowd was likely to be filled with anti-Kirk protesters. It would not be in his political interest to shoot other trans-allies, so random multiple shots into the crowd was likely not his goal. The goal was to take down Kirk alone.
The roommate is shown in a hooded bathrobe, whereas a furry is a sexual deviancy where the individuals like to dress up as specific animals during the act. Is that another form of transvestite? In any case, it might be a red herring, just internet rumors at this point. Not my bag baby.
His parents lived 260 miles away, and this roommate and the rental are believed to be 10 minutes away. Media reports are conflating the two locations. But that’s still a 3-4 hour drive, which means he either left at 4am, or came the day before and rented a hotel locally. Too early to tell.
The 829am clock is the security camera footage of the car arriving on campus. There would be no need to suspect him at the time, and security was likely focused on setting up the Kirk event for later in the day. It’s not that easy to go through hours and hours of footage.
The shooter would have wanted a parking spot away from the event on campus; who knows how busy it would be at that specific parking lo between 8am and noon. Better to leave the car a distance away where he could have clear exit while everyone else is streaming towards the event.
Was the killer timing his shot with the speech? I don’t know if the event was televised/live-streamed. It could be that the shooter waited at ground level until Kirk began speaking on the transgender topic, and the shooter used that as the trigger to begin his ascent to the roof. Apparently it only took minutes to get into final position.
We don’t know enough yet. Was the weapon taken from a parent? Rumor is the shooter’s parents had social media pics congratulating winning shooting contests. So maybe he is more skilled? A rifle is much more accurate at distance, which the shooter would know, but harder to conceal and disassemble. The shooter wasn’t suicidal, and didn’t stick around to take multiple shots or hang around to disassemble the weapon, he just booked it. His ascent was through a crowded area, so going back that way was a no go, so over the side into some bushes was his escape plan.
Bolt action rifles, for the most part, have internal magazines that hold 3 or 4 rounds. They are loaded with the bolt open, one at a time. According to the released information, when the authorities found the subject rifle, it held the fired cartridge case in the chamber and the three rounds in the internal magazine. Those are the ones with the etchings on them. From this information, it is obvious the shooter did not cycle the bolt after his one shot, which would have ejected the fired case. As someone else here observed, the shooter likely saw through his scope Charlie go down, so there was no reason to prepare to fire again. Also, he took the fired case with him in the rifle. Had he been able to retrieve it and get rid of it, the authorities would have no murder weapon to match to the killing bullet if it was recovered.

That makes sense, if the casing was still in the weapon, there’s nothing to clean up at the scene as he’s making his escape. I missed that nuance in the affidavit.
If his apartment was also 4 hours drive away, 10 min from the parents, I fail to see his roommate driving to the campus to tromp through the woods looking for a brown towel just to clean up the weapon, out of sheer good will, unless the roommate was in on it all along. But the cops found the roommate at the apartment. So, it may be that his other accomplices in his chat group were living at/near the campus and had the ability to visit said wooded area. And maybe they could have gotten there first, but our shooter did a terrible job hiding it and the weapon was found.

She also states “gee gee came running to our… my arms.” Her entire speech was borderline insanity with smiling followed by cryptic whispers and then fire and brimstone. She has a phd mind you in marketing and international relations.
4. Trump pushing the left is bad narrative right out the gate – why? We don’t know about the roommate til today.

Regarding the weapon: Springfield with a sight…snipers rifle…one shot by the best is all it takes. (I remember reading a book about an Army sniper, maybe the best at the time, in Vietnam. Author I believe was a Marine named Stepien, though I could have mis-remembered. The balance of an older Springfield with long blades is excellent, used by drill teams, and would be formidable in the hands of a true marksman.

Expert shooters obviously fine-tune their marksmanship, but they must also learn to fine tune their physiology. Heart rate, breathing cycle and volumes, blood pressure. Dispassion is key. Emotion interferes with this balance.
I’ve witnessed the flight or fight response repeatedly. Difficult iv access as peripheral circulation clamps down, extreme elevations in heart rate and blood pressure. And most commonly, in the teen or young adult male. Their sympathetic nervous systems, so strong at this age, so useful in so many situations, but such a negative in others. Such as attempting a fatal shot, from 150-200 yards. For the very first time.
So my original question still stands. Does an amateur shooter/assassin have the ability, and the confidence, to take a single shot? ONE shot?
I thought about the exit too. I’d have to really know the layouts first, and I haven’t done the google earth thing yet. My best guess is that he knew the easy way back (as he came in) would be much riskier being seen or stopped with a fleeing crowd rather than jumping off at a more distant spot where fewer people would be. I’d like to know from some gun people more information about this shot- it looked pretty good for a young kid that has been in college and spending the rest of his time gaming and with a partner.

Those people that frequent shooting ranges are a tight knit crowd, they know each other, so why haven’t we heard from any of them? surely they’d have known this guy and be providing information right now about what they saw.

A few hundred yards with a scoped hunting rifle is not very difficult, you can learn the basics in a few hours. If the rifle is zeroed at 100 yards the bullet would only drop about four inches below the point of aim at 200, assuming he did not account for the approximate distance by changing settings on his scope. A good 30-06 can make one inch groups from a rest at 100 yards, a two inch group at 200 yards.
The way events unfolded seemed well planned, but it did not seem to me to be that good a plan. If he had been trying for a head shot instead of center mass, he could have missed fairly easily. I suspect he is not an expert shooter and just put a single shot toward Charlie’s head, but hit his upper torso in a critical spot. He got lucky, in other words.
So an attempted head shot that was off by 10 inches is an excellent shot? Not really.
Maybe it was an attempted body shot, that was off by a few inches. Lots of vulnerable organs massed in this general area.

I have no doubt the FBI will eventually release a timeline of the shooters activities, as best as they can reconstruct it. As to some of your questions, you assume that this killer thinks rationally but many times is not the case. What may not make sense to you might be the only course this killer with a 22-year old brain could conceive. As to why only one shot was fired, think about the ballistic numbers. Reports state that a Mauser 30-06 rifle with optic was recovered. A 30-06 round travels between 2400-3000 fps, depending on grain. At 140 yards (420 feet), that bullet would reach it’s target between 0.14 to 0.18 seconds. An average hunting optic would be from 10X – 15X. At that magnification from 140 yards, the killer could easily see Mr. Kirk was hit and slump over in that 0.14 – 0.18 seconds, and there would be no need to extract the spent cartridge for a second shot. Only a shooter with some training would be confident enough to use a bolt action rifle. Why use a Mauser rifle? The Mauser rifle was never manufactured in that chambering, and was likely rechambered for the 30-06 round. It might be an antique rifle that changed hands through private sales or at a gun show, which could make it more difficult to trace. I believe there likely are others involved with this assassination, but the flaws you described could simply be the best plan this killers deranged, infantile mind could conceive.
Tyler, in his Discord chats, alluded to his rifle being somehow special or unique (don’t recall his exact phrasing). I don’t question his ability to take this shot, from this distance, with a scoped rifle, given his experience. And his ability to see Charlie hit, at that mag, also makes sense.
My question isn’t really COULD he accomplish his mission with a single shot, but rather, WOULD he?
Would the few extra seconds needed to fire a second shot have the slightest impact on his chance to escape?

I would identify the person who asked Charlie Kirk the question, and make sure it wasn’t a prompt for the shooter.
He’s been identified. Even posted a video on YouTube. Obviously given the coincidence he needs to be looked at. But what he said sounded quite genuine and forthcoming. He is visibly horrified at the shooting and speaks very sympathetically toward Charlie, his kids and his wife. And he’s admittedly Left and says straight up he disagreed with him about most things.

I have not seen any mention of the killer having a regular job. I know he was supposedly in training for a trade. But lived in a nice apartment and drove a nice car. Who was paying the bills? His parents? Us as taxpayers?

As an elder Millennial who has spent way too much time on the Internet, watching a whole horde of weird little subcultures metastasize over the past twenty years, nothing about this surprises me. And I don’t think it’s some kind of psy-op, because it’s just too weird and too specific and too bizarre to be a story our incredibly out-of-touch government could cook up. This is the kind of crazy that is the result of spending way too much time online.
People, especially young people, fall into these weird little groups all the time. It’s always been around but got super-charged during the early Tumblr era, probably largely thanks to that website’s utter lack of filters. (You couldn’t block people or tags on your feed unless you downloaded a separate plug-in, so even if you were just there for, say, knitting content, you eventually got bombarded with hardcore, umm, adult material).
I personally watched several friends go off the deep end with things that would take way too long to explain and make no sense. I had work colleagues with underage children who get destroyed over there emotionally.
But it wasn’t just Tumblr. Reddit has been totally co-opted by either the CCP or a group of militant transgenders (or both, who knows) and is a total catastrophy. TikTok is a CCP psy-op. Twitch allows pro-Islamic terrorist material on their platform. 4Chan has always been a cesspit (people talk about the /pol board, but trust me, there’s worse). And that’s without getting into specific stuff, like how the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom gave us Chris Chan. (And weirder things, but things I don’t want to inflict on anybody). And on and on and on.
My point is, a couple of kids from nice families suddenly LARPing as LGBTQ and furries and 1790s French Revolutionaries isn’t the weirdest thing I’ve personally seen on the Internet. And maybe not even the most psychopathic; there was a guy a while back who committed a mass shooting/self-unaliving so he could be reincarnated in the great beyond as a ghost chick from his favorite children’s cartoon show.
And if you’re wondering how something like this can happen, the Internet creates these frictionless, consequence-free echo chambers. Once you get into something slightly weird, there are people who are weirder. And if your community tolerates that weirdness, it starts this whirlpool effect where everybody eventually gets sucked down without even realizing what’s happened. It’s very easy to end up on the other side of the planet from who and what you were before, without thinking you’re doing anything wrong or even that you’ve really changed that much.
I guarantee you, these two guys didn’t think there was ANYTHING WRONG with what they did. But now the question is, who else was in that Internet hole with them, and how much did those people know prior to this event?
I’ve seen it happen. A nice young girl with a high grade score in school goes to college. After one year she suddenly quit. She became lazy and fat. Eventually she got a job at a nursing home but getting her to go and be on time proved to be her demise. She lies in her bedroom all day until meal time.
All this happened during college. Her parents don’t understand at all.
