BREAKING. Conservative pundit and leading voice of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk was about 20 minutes into a presentation when he was shot, a spokesperson for Utah Valley University told NBC News.
The spokesperson said, to the best of the university’s knowledge, Kirk was hit and taken with his security team away from the premises, and the courtyard was cleared. Video from Twitter below:
Kirk was sat in a tent with the “American Comeback Tour” logo when a shot is heard and Kirk physically recoils, slumping down in his seat. Blood is seen flowing down from his neck and the crowd audibly panics and begins to run.

I skimmed the Utah County EMS protocol, paramedics have TXA available. I didn’t see anything indicating the carry blood.
My wife recerted her ACLS and PALS this year, she actually took an in-person class and learned that the ambulances here in the Huntsville, AL area carry a few units. I talked to my compadres in CA who are still working and our department is looking at adding blood. A few cities and counties are already carrying.
That’s a game changer. Few things help besides an OR, being able to give some blood would buy some time. Combined with TXA (helps increase blood clotting).
