The Canadian govt led by Prime Minister Mark Carney has completely capitulated to the power and influence of President Trump.
While explaining how the United States has fundamentally changed the entire landscape of global trade, the leader of the Snow Mexicans announces he is dropping all countervailing and retaliatory tariffs against the USA and getting nothing in return. Total and complete surrender by Canada; there is ZERO upside for Canada – NADA, Zippo, Zilch.
Prime Minister Mark Carney made the announcement, then faced the ire of the assembled media who were furious about the details within the statement. The Canadian people had been promised an “elbows up” fight to the end. Instead, today they got down on their knees and begged Trump to retain the USMCA.
Complete and utter capitulation by Canada. No digital services taxes. No countervailing duty tariffs. No reciprocity tariffs on Steel and Aluminum. No retaliatory tariffs (reciprocal/baseline). Meanwhile, the USA keeps 50% tariffs on steel and aluminum against Canada, and Canada only gets 25% tariffs against U.S. steel/aluminum.
In addition, Canada has pledged to continue gaslighting their citizens, while wasting time, effort and resources on a hope to retain the USMCA, while refusing to admit to themselves that President Trump intends to dissolve it. WATCH:

If that recap sounds bad for Canada, trust me – it’s way worse. Really bad, horrible – terrible even. So far beyond bad, the light from where horrible starts could not reach the Canadian terrible place for a year. Not good. 😊

This is not a time for gloating.
We need to be patient and see how the more fair trade policy works. More battles ahead I am sure.
There are so many battles to fight. Let’s make elections secure again. Ban mail in voting. Same day in person voting, voter ID, encrypted paper ballots, transparent hand counting.
All of those things. nOW
Understand the need to ban mail in voting in some places, been doing it here in the county I’m in for years, whole house does it.
Very transparent, can check status online, don’t want to give it up to have to deal with iffy poll workers.
What about the ballot chain of custody?
There isn’t one.
You’re too trusting. It may work for you and be transparent. It also works for phantom voters.
Get over having to stand in line if you want the election system fixed.
Seeing you know nothing of the process here…
You do you, I’ll do me.
Have a great day!
You might please Mr. Eddink, be more transparent.
What county , what state ?
You vote Democrat I guess?
And the 2nd do does himsslf in.😂
If it is to be a secure election than I think you will need to make some sacrifices. What you see as convenience, others see as just waiting for fraud.
I live in CA where there is ONLY mail in voting. I, too, can go online to see if my vote was counted. What I can’t see is HOW it was counted. Was my Republican ballot changed to vote all Democrat? Who knows? I would rather wait in line to vote at a precinct than trust the state to correctly count my vote.
We also are in California and receive mail-in ballots. We fill them out and on election day we drop them in the ballot boxes in the precinct. The boxes always have a precinct worker stationed by the boxes & they always double check that everything in filled out & signed on the outside of the envelope.
I lived in California for over 50 years. In my area there was no option to vote in person. Most people mailed in their ballot. I am sure that was completely secure. Right? Anytime there was any attempt to clean up the voter rolls, the democrats fought tooth & nail to prevent it. I saw red, conservative areas such as around San Diego have democrats win in the elections. There are few conservative areas left in California but even so it was obvious that the fix was in for California “Elections”. This is the model that democrats would like to expand to everywhere.
Let’s get whoever runs the Powerball,to do the election, they can verify the winner down to the store and the time.
It’s gotta be more secure than we have now. I’ve never heard of their computers getting hacked .
Problem is, the people who set rules for elections see that kind of security as a bug, rather than a feature.
I live in Orange Co., CA and I voted in person in Nov. on election day. Where do you live that there is ONLY mail-in voting?
What would the signers of the Declaration of Independence who put their lives and their sacred honor on the line have thought of your unwillingness to be inconvenienced?
And you don’t really know what the “process” really is or how it may have been compromised. I vote in Maricopa County, Arizona and we have a similar “process” to yours. LOL.
Not transparent at all. No way to know who actually fills out a ballot, or who observes some one fill out a ballot. No chain of custody of the blank ballot once placed in mail. Typically ballot validity is determined by placing ballot in a “signed” envelope and then “comparing” the envelope signature to some government-held “master signature”.
Plus the nursing homes run a good ballot harvesting scam. The ballots are all mailed to the facility addressed to the elderly, medicated residents who no longer can follow political issues accurately. The nurses will often give the ballot to the resident and open it for them, asking who they want to vote for, swaying them politically and marking the ballot.
In fact, nobody is supervising the actual marking of the ballots if the resident is infirm or confused. It’s just the nurse’s aide person and the resident, so it can easily be manipulated.
I had nurses tell me they would “help” my mother fill out her ballot and I said no, to leave it in her room and I would be over there to help her. Many families never visit their relatives, so the scam is easy to do, especially during Covid when they locked everyone out of the facilities! Hell on earth it was for many.
The problem with mail in ballots is, there’s no documented chain of custody. There are an unknown number of “undeliverable” ballots sent to non-residences, that get collected and voted by somebody. Then there’s the ballots lost, thrown away, delivered late, etc.
Another problem is malfeasance at the “counting centers”, as we saw in Detroit, Atlanta, and Phoenix. Signatures blank, not validated, fraudulent signatures accepted, etc. Fake and late ballots inserted into the count.
You really need to record your vote in your precinct, and have it counted there. No voted ballot should ever be transported until it is counted.
Yes Runbeck runs the huge centralized counting center in Phoenix. Who knows what goes on there, including printing more ballots. AZ alone caused a complete collapse of our elections, due to corruption, fraud and downright criminality. The Electoral College was captured from failures to secure the 2020 election and that was just one state. The fraud model also existed in GA, WI, and MI.
AZ hearing about Katie Hobbs injecting 74K ballots into the 2020 election…stealing electoral votes for Biden
https://x.com/Real_RobN/status/1957848466287464749?t=L8ofVgReZ4–1wi9X3IscA&s=19
Runbeck has a TERRIBLE reputation.
Sorry, mail in ballots have to go.
This is absolutely a time for gloating. Can’t wait to gloat when the EU bends over too.
Winning, winning, so much winning!!!!!
Absolutely! Canada has been hosing us for decades on tariffs.
Gloat on!
I absolutely agree. All the social media videos, ads ect… have been about how wonderful Canada is and trash President Trump and Everyone in MAGA. Maggots is what Canadians have called me. F’ em. It’s all going back in their faces. Elbows up, Knees down. Retain the position because it’s coming and I couldn’t care less.
Fair enough, but we ain’t all bad.
I bet some of the folks here voted for McCain, Romney or Bush ( plural) 😉
Cheers!
Nothing personal, of course there are many great Canadians, but many do not even want to engage American issues. MAGA represents a simple agenda for a sovereign nation; it’s citizens first, economic prosperity, law and order, equal justice, religious freedom (no jihad), national values, small government, school choice etc…
We are all not Ugly Americans either, but if we fail the world fails with us and China rises.
Yep, many of us are grateful that our neighbours are who they are.
Deke… must be difficult to read some of what is showing up here. The Best to you.
It is for myself too, Sturm….
Some people just cant help themselves, verbally castigating those of us, who are nothing like they think we are up here. The left and their nonsense, does not speak for all of us. Not even close.
There are millions upon millions of us, who do not subscribe to this insanity. We are solid Conservative, God fearing people, who only want to be left alone, by the tyrannical nutjobs.
If only Canadians were all like you!
Dekester = Friend!!
Comment deleted by Admin…
The Canadians lost more people, percentage wise, in WWII than the United States so I can’t see where we can blame Canadians for a lack of courage.
Ya. But Canada had the guts to get in the fight at the beginning.
You are correct about that, but “that was then”. As a ‘born in Canada’ person, back in 1935… things have changed (as Dekester might agree). Out of a large family of relatives, I know of only 2 who did not bow down to the flu nonsense, and fought against Truedope and his evil cast of characters.
Many of us across the world are guilty of only fighting back using a keyboard. Sadly, you’re not alone. To be fair, since little was known about the virus and even less was truthfully reported, even those I typically consider allies for conservatism failed to resist as many would in hind sight.
You know, what Id like to say to you……breaks the rules here.
You seem to be very ignorant, and consider yourself our betters.
Explain to us, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Shall I heap the blame for those idiots on you? And all Americans? Why didnt you do something about them and their tyrannical rule, and locking you all down and taking your freedoms during Covid? Where were you, oh brave one? You allowed it. Does that make you, what you call us? Beaten down? Colonists with no guts? But lots of guns. Did you do anything about it, from behind your keyboard?? No, you didnt.
Who do you think you are saying such things? This is the Treehouse, where all opinions are welcome, and all commenters, from all countrys are accepted by our opposition to our treatment at the hands of tyrants and filth…. but your comment seems to be posted, trying to get a reaction from the good people who are your compatriots in the fight for freedom.
Well, you got one from me. Is that what you wanted? Surely it must be, to say something so ignorant.
Grow up. Seriously. Taking a lowbrow shot at all of us up here is pure ignorance and hubris. You have any clue how many Canadians post here?
Appreciate your restraint Bob. The comment has been deleted.
All Canadians are not nice. There are quite a few ugly Canadians in my Arizona neighborhood.
No one said we were.
Are all Americans nice?
Checkmate…..
100% agree. China is our enemy. Canada definitely needs to change but China is our common enemy.
Dekester most people in the site have great admiration for the Canadian people especially the conservatives. Don’t listen to everybody here that they hate Canada. They don’t know what they’re really talking about. We’re all in this fight and I’m talking about conservatives to preserve our nation and we need to be united. God bless Canada.
👍💪
Prayers up and masses offered for Canada, Dekester. I want a peaceful civility with lots of comraderie for our nations and Mexico. We can’t be like brothers who don’t get along, even if sometimes we argue & get mad.
Exactly.
People like myself, Deke, Dan Dale aka DD, and many others, are your brothers in this fight. I dont take the Canada hate personally, but it would be good for those who post that hate, to reflect on a simple thing. Like, we arent all libtard, MAGA hating, stupid morons.
We both have our share of leftist nonsense. In both countrys. And us here at the Treehouse, despise them all. No matter what country they are from.
We are your ally’s. A lof of Canadians feel the same as we do, here. They just dont post on CTH. But they sure talk at the coffee shops, grocery stores and our homes, just in my little town of 52,000.
The boomers and leftists got us in the mess we are in. And maybe, a bit of cheating as well.
👍
OK, so “Boomers” aren’t all the same, just like Canadians aren’t all the same.
From a Boomer that is a fierce American patriot.
Ill clarify that.
The on the fence boomers and leftist boomers. They were offended by the 51st State trolling. Ive listened to a few fools saying that at the coffee shop. I interjected and said, ” dont you guys realize when President Trump is trolling us? ”
They looked at me with a stupid look on their faces. That is why we ended up with this idiot, Carnage. These easily offended weaklings.
I should have explained that. No offense meant to boomers. Im only a couple of years shy of being one. We have a lot of stupid people up here, who arent overly political and believe everything the news tells them. Sigh……
Can’t group them all together as the same mindset. Some think some don’t and some can’t.
I like Canadians and you, too, Dekester. I’m always interested in what you have to say, particularly about other Canadians. Perhaps your country just needs another VSGDJT to show up in the political arena of our northern neighbor..
True, however the opinion of many is that we are too far gone.
Quebec without immigration of third world French speakers is a dying Province they have immense political power.
Native Indians have recently won ridiculous lawsuits regarding territory in
British Co.
Chinese money laundromats own large chunks of real estate.
Many Canadians with European roots, or Asian connections ( Philippines) have moved back, or are considering it.
Cheers!
Yes sir. All truth, right there.
The East always votes for the libtards as well. That never helps either.
Ontario is inundated with immigrants. Mostly East Indians, but also a good chunk of everywhere else, in the Third World, has come here, and our joke leaders, welcomed them all with open arms, free everything, without any benefit to us native Canadians.
Its a giant mess IMHO.
Too far gone doesnt seem to be farfetched, unless we get a PDJT who is willing to send them all home.
If Ontario and Saskatchewan were to form an independent country, it would be 78th most populous in the world. Slightly more people than Netherlands.
Add in BC and Manitoba, and the four would be the 24th most populous country, just ahead of Italy.
Well, obviously I meant Alberta, not Ontario. And I typed the query wrong, too. Silly me.
As an independent country, Alberta and Saskatchewan together would have a population about half that of Norway.
Still tied to england coatails.
Idiots and grifters voted for McCain.
He SHOULD have gone to jail for his participation in the ABSCAM thing back in the 80’s
No doubt the Drug Cartels had a lubricated hand deep in his pants pocket too.
He and his entourage were the 5th column of the GOP for the past decade+
Arizona GOP politics is still corrupted by the residoo-doo of his cadre.
Arizona election fraud is a ripe target. I sure hope Bondi and the DOJ and FBI are auditing it.
Katie Dobbs is a Drug Cartel whore. Not to put too fine a point on it.
You speak the truth.
The Canadian Truckers were the only large public resistance group on the entire continent right when it most mattered.
I personally witnessed about 10,000 people, in my small town of 52,000, lining the highway and giving coffee, food, gifts and supplys to them when they rolled through our area. It was literally -30 Celsius. Yet we were out there. And my area was a small sampling, there was a heck of a lot more out there over those 5 or 6 days, in the bigger citys, along the route to Ottawa.
I felt pretty proud of my people and my country when that happened.
Then the leftist jackboots took over. It was all down hill from there. Capitulation ensued, when Castro Jr and his Meth Head best girlfriend started freezing bank accounts, impounding trucks, canceling their insurance and all the other fascist BS they did. Calling out foreign looking cops, that didnt even speak. Probably because they werent Canadians. Beating disabled protestors and old women. Yeah, that was pretty angering.
They were and are tyrants, the Librats and Socialists. Yet they won the election? Again?
Unreal.
You might take solace in how many (most?) Treepers treat New Yorkers and Californians. We deserve everything we get and people here actually gloat over it. Apparently only New York and California have honest elections.
Earlier there was a string of comments concerning giving Minnesota to Canada, since Minnesotans are all liberals who voted their stupidity in.
As a Minnesotan I get it.
Absolutely.
I live among the walking brain dead.
I just hope we get out before Walz gleefully signs the state over to Ontario as a suburb.
I confess. I voted for all three McCain, Romney and Bush to my eternal shame. I didn’t see through the Establishment Republicans until about 2011 or 2012. It got better when I cut the cord and canceled cable. I watched Fox too much. Listened to Laura Ingraham and Hugh Hewitt. So embarrassing!
I have made many mistakes in my life.
Your only choice was between Bush or Gore. Bush was the lesser evil.
We aint all like that, as if I need to say that. But I did.
Lots of Canadians post here.
I would suggest not putting us all in that category, it might be helpful. That would be like me putting down Conservatives in your country, for Joe Bribem being elected, and blaming you for it, when no one on this board, voted for that BS.
Tone er down a tad there, chum. 😉
100% dear lady — CELEBRATE PATRIOTS!!!!!
It was interesting that Carney did not physically attend any of the Ukraine meetings??
Gloating? No…but, “People should know when they’re conquered”
We must educate those folks across the border- not the elected mature shovelers, but the average citizen… it will take time for them to recognize truth
how about a Chortle?
watermarks and several “secret” fibers, fluorescent dyes in the ballot paper to prevent chinese or other ballot-source paper copying for fke bllots. Each state could be sent differently special-fiber and dye-loaded ballots, so they could not be copied in a short time. It would take a ballot-forger a while to analyze and copy the paper manufacture. Then mix up the paper for each state from the ‘planned marking, to circumvent the probable leaking of the marking system. The actual ballots could then be easily checked after voting for authenticity.
The manufacture would have to be “top secret” and carried out within a short timeframe to voting, to prevent skulduggery.
And no “Runbeck” AZ ballot printing company to get within 50 miles of a paper ballot.
No time to gloat or kick your neighbor while he is down. The tariffs are going away after Trump is out of office or after the midterms when he becomes a lame duck.
Realistically, we have no fear of that happening considering the state of the headless Dem Party. The Canadian govt. has been kicking us while we were gasping for air, for a very long time. And I’m sure Trudeau was right in there with the Color Revolution/UN/EU crowd, sticking knives in our duly elected President and his voters over the last 10 years, contributing to the US velvet coup.
We certainly have a just cause to be irate and if it wasn’t for our self control, brilliant Constitution and higher principles, we would be gloating much harder.
Oh, Castro Jr, was most certainly thowing swords in his back, and yours too.
He was and is a national embarrassment.
As if Carnage is any better. The stupid idiots let emotions overrule common sense last election. Now we are stuck with the locust libtards, yet again!
“Carnage.”
Good name.
Are a lot of Canadians calling him that?
I’m from the land of tampon timmy. Yes, a lot of Minnesotans call him that, and a lot worse.
Yes. That is his official nickname. Most right leaning voters call him that. Because that is what he is bringing to the table. POS he is!
I think we can take a few moments and gloat. 😉
Secure elections, the golden key to the “City On the Hill”. No other domestic problem is more important than Secure Elections. Just ask any sniveling democrat elected politician. Free fair and secure constitutional elections would sift many democrat politicians away from the lucrative public coffers and into the heartless streets; meritocracy looming in their faces.
Anytime is a good time for gloating. I’m getting my gloat on!
Oh …. I absolutely agree … but talk about a “a battle royal.” The Democraps know that they can’t win at the ballot box UNLESS THEY CHEAT!
The down ballot cheating in the blue states is obscene! This is why mail in ballots, and machine counting have to end. In my state of MA Trump got 40% of the vote but not a single Republican congressman or Senator was elected. The census could help but the gerrymandering of districts is off the scale crooked. I’ll bet its the same in every blue state.
Winning does not induce gloating…winning induces more winning!
To the contrary. This is a time that was MADE for gloating — by Canada itself. They could have been realistic, unantagonistic, etc., but they chose to aggressively deny the inevitable. And so, here they are, getting the gloat they begged for.
Obviously you are not a Canadian tax payer – ?
Lesbian Goats from Canada SHOULD be banned!!!
No more Gloating! Bahhhhh!
Celebrate each and every win like it’s the Super Bowl.
Give praise and thanks to God as we celebrate those wins.
Pray continually for God’s blessings as we face future challenges.
I would wager whatever gambling monies I usual do, that (mailed ballot) fraud is the next big issue following the circumcision/castration of the Deep State actors.
The Bolton FBI raid move this AM is the first at bat of a game the Deep State does not understand or play well. They never had the LAW on their side, just corrupt judges.
Trump with his long-term strategy is years ahead of these scum.
Watch their lawyering-up during the next few weeks to confirm my layman’s analysis.
I was going to say I hope his long-term strategy includes preparing some leaders to follow him.
But I suppose that’s happening, just by virtue of the OJT the people around him are getting.
I recall that Carney got elected with a surge of anti-Trump rhetoric. I think they thought Carney would be their tough guy. It’s understandable that they have national pride and Canada is a spectacularly beautiful land. Seems to me many of them forgot what happened to the Canadian truckers and by design are under informed by their media.
I’m actually sad for the Canadian people. This shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
Full reparations with interest to any Canadian citizen, and Truckers impacted before any talk on tariffs. Ottawa and Trudeau were evil in so many ways.
Actually, it should have happened. No way it couldn’t have happened.
This leftist is too funny. Him “Dropping the gloves” against PDT is like a reserve rookie dropping the gloves against a 10 yr league penalty minute leader. The guys a joke
Yep. The moron left, and the middle of the road boomers, elected this asshat, because of all that talk of being tough. It didnt help with PDJT’s talk of the 51st State either. I love President Trump, but that is something he should not have said, even given that we know he was trolling, as the King Troll of leaders. I swear, that is why we ended up with Carnage….It made a lot of really dumb people, angry.
My poor country will end up with yet more abuse from the Libtards, and we again, are in a very abusive relationship with our Government. A bunch of stupid, sheep voters, fell for the horse puckey from this clown.
The media here are nothing but mouthpieces for the Libs, and Socialists. Much like the US MSM, is the mouthpiece for the Marxist Demorats. You got that right. Under informed is putting it lightly.
Meanwhile, all of us Conservative’s, get the shaft. And by association, the whole country gets the shaft, because the weaklings elected this Globalist Filth….
I dont even want to think about what Sundance means, when he says:
” If that recap sounds bad for Canada, trust me – it’s way worse. Really bad, horrible – terrible even. So far beyond bad, the light from where horrible starts could not reach the Canadian terrible place for a year. Not good. ”
TBH, all the Canadian leaders, Polly Parrot included, are horrible. All a bunch of circus clowns, that do not care 1 iota, for us citizens. We are trapped in a circular firing squad of ignorant, stupid, and greedy….
I guess life is going to get even tougher for us. Thanks to this lowlife Lib.
We cant win these days.
Moving to Florida is starting to appeal to me. Ive visited 5 times already. Solid Red, solid laws, common sense solutions. Im not one of those ignorant Snowbirds either. Id fit right in. That is if my health holds up, Im seriously considering it.
I wonder what the best case situation going forward, year by year, would be for Canada. If their leaders stop pretending and do what is best for the Canadian people, what is the best they could accomplish short, mid, and long term?
Stop pretending.
Stop electing morons. And Globalists.
Fix our media.
Fix our education.
Leave our damn kids, and grand kids alone, away from the alphabet psychos, and from the leftist’s sick perversions.
Get rid of woke.
Electoral reform.
Fix the trade situation with things that benefit both sides.
Fix immigration.
Send all the recent immigrants, especially the illegals and those who have overstayed their work visa’s/visa’s, back where they came from.
Stop kissing China’s butt.
Stop harrassing our farmers.
Stop Government overreach.
Stop messing with our every day lives.
Stop messing with our guns.
Stop turning every day regular Joe’s, into criminals, by restricting our God Given Rights and taking away our freedoms, one bite at a time.
Get back to our traditional relationships with the US. Stop treating them as an enemy, and get back to treating the US like an ally. Reset our relations, period.
I could go on, and on, and on. There is so much to fix! Its exhausting. I just listed this off the top of my head.
We understand Bigly…I guess you are about 10 years behind us in the repair job of realigning your govt.
First comes diagnosing, then organizing first steps, exposing corruption and then actually finding the right people who are honestly capable of fixing the whole damn mess. Good luck and get ‘er done.:)
Again until our Lord appears in the Clouds like he left the world just gets worse.
15 “Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),
16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.
17 Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house.
18 Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.
19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!
20 But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath.
21 For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will.
22 Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.
23 Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘There He is,’ do not believe him.
24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.
25 Behold, I have told you in advance.
26 So if they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out, or, ‘Behold, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe them.
27 For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
28 Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather. The Glorious Return
29 “But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
30 And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory.
31 And He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other. Parable of the Fig Tree (Matthew 24:15, NASB)
Move to an inland county if possible. Avoid 98% of the hurricanes’ damaging forces, crowds, and high prices that exist on either coast. Lots of nice places to choose from.
Well, I have thought about the storms in Florida. But I would be renting a Condo or something. Im not broke, but I dont want to own a home after this one. With my health, it would be hard to keep the place up. Im having a bit of a tough time now, as it is. I do love the weather and climate in Florida, that being said. I loved it everytime I visited. Spent all my time on the water, mostly.
Its an ongoing process at the moment. I have to be healthy enough to bust a move. Ive about had enough of Canada though. We are a captive citizenry, being horribly abused.
Live near the water if that’s what soothes your soul. You can always move inland to a nice hotel if the need arises to evacuate.
No fear is why over 21 million people choose to live in FL full time, not counting snowbirds, and other temporary tourists of about 10 million more per year. Cheers.
The coastal counties are the ones turning purple, but the north, central and panhandle counties are holding red. Wonderful salt-of-the-earth people : polite, friendly, considerate, and CONSERVATIVE! I used to live on the water until we were flooded out during Helene and screwed over by FEMA. Moved north and inland and feel like I’ve died and gone to heaven!
I met a whole pile of down to earth, awesome people during my visits. Like I said, Id fit right in. I made some friends too, that I stay in touch with. A good friend of mine married a US Army Veteran many years ago, they live down there, she said she wouldnt come home if you paid her. They run a VA Club down there too.
I know Id love to just pick up and go, today. But I have to make sure I live first! 😉
So far so good on my treatments….God is Good!
Prayers for a positive health outcome…everything can be achieved when one feels good.
In Polk County there is a chain of 18 lakes of various sizes all connected by small navigable canals. Winter Haven is the area where most of those are located. My elderly parents lived there for 14 golden years and loved it. Their county Sheriff is Grady Judd of strong law & order fame.
Id love to live where Sheriff Grady is the man. He is a serious man, with a set of balls and a fighter for true law and order. I love that guy! I always laugh when I see his videos. He does not play. FAFO is the way it is…..
Im also a boater, I love my boats.
Polk sounds like a place to investigate. 😉
Yes. Polk County is worthwhile investigating. There are condos scattered around the larger towns.
My folks lived in a mobile home park, in a 2 BedRoom, 2 Bath double-wide. It was like a 24×45 ft. ranch house. It had a nice carport, the lawns were all maintained by a contractor. Had a well-maintained private pool for the small community.
All units are on public water and sewer, with regular trash pickup. They had some single-wide units too, for the budget minded. But all were nicely maintained and a lot less expensive than most condos on the coasts.
The community is still there – it’s called Kings Pointe, in Lake Alfred FL, which is just outside the N / NE border of Winter Haven.
https://www.suncommunities.com/florida/kings-pointe
…on the water, fishing, perchance?
Yes, for sure. I love the water and fishing.
I just sold my 24 foot Party Barge, it was a very nice pontoon boat. It was hard to sell it, but I had to. ( To pay a lawyer, to deal with my ex wife, Satans daughter)
The motorcycle accident and my health, made it so I cannot work anymore. So I didnt want to dip into my retirement money or other accounts. Since Im single now, I figured why keep it, Its just me now. Going out alone wasnt an attractive thought. Got good money for it though. They hold their value, especially if its kept in top shape, which mine was. Full tops, pop up bathroom, nice stereo, sat 14 people. Kids are all grown and gone, no one lives close, grand kids either. It made sense to dump it.
I still have my Ski Boat though. Shes a beauty too. 300 Merc on the back. Its a ripper! Although I havent used it since before my accident.
I have other toys too. I cant use them at the moment though. I might just dump them all ( Except my new Harley Street Glide. I’ll be buried with that thing! 😉 )
I think you are wrong.
Trump deals with Canada like a Marine recruit. Break them down, then build them up. When you look at Canada from 5000 feet, it has everything it needs to be great again. Except maybe for weather. So yeah, maybe keep Florida in the plan.😀
VSG still has his Greenland and Canada as states in mind, no doubt.
It may have to get worse for Canada before it gets better.
We need more people like you you’re welcome to come on down. 😎
I ordinarily take a VERY dim view of people moving here to get away from the mess they’ve made of their home states. But in your case, Bob, I’d welcome you as a neighbor. You’ll have to change your name to BobofTheSouth, though!
Heh!
If I change it, you’ll know I pulled the trigger. I have to wait until I know Im going to be ok. The health situation isnt good. But, so far, Im holding the line.
God has got me, again!
My in-laws live in West Palm Beach area. Florida is a Shithole either Snobby super rich, Northeasterners with bad attitudes, People who dont know English killing people every day in car crashes, Druggies at every grocery store, I could go on. If you have any $ they will grab it at death. Probate starts at $100,000.00 and goes up from there. Bob Im sure you have good neighbors work with them to live the best you can stay and fight the entire world leaders are pushing the Globalist garbage the Bible says we will see a one world gubbermint. At that point living in the sticks will be the best place to be. God Bless ya Brother. Trump has sent all his kids thru the globalist schools he is doing good for the American middle class in the news but I cant tell much of a difference here in the Eastern Colorado. They take 1/2 your earnings thru taxes then tax your land Coffee Whiskey ECT. ECT. Until Jesus returns it gets worse similar to birth pangs.
Please don’t judge Florida by West Palm Beach. That would be like judging the USA by NYC!
He was probably closer to Riviera Beach, a misnomer if there ever was one. Instead of focusing on FL how about getting CO back. Talk about letting a beautiful state turn into a s….hole and not even batting an eye. Even PDJT will have to free Tina Peters because of their lame fascistic govt.
Hi Bob,
We are in S/W B.C. and have a summer place on Vancouver Island.
Older Canadians are flocking there..sure there a plenty of nutjob
entitled boomers.
Ontario, Saskatchewan,Manitoba and Alberta plates are common place.
However the weather is the best in Canada.
Decent rentals can be had too.
Cheers!
However we regularly encounter Trump enthusiasts in our Island town
Its so funny, because in my little town, we have about 4 lifted up trucks, all done up, with F Trudeau flags, and MAGA/Trump flags rolling around, and they are big flags too!
I always get a good chuckle and give them the thumbs up.
See, some of you Canada haters, even here, in Canadian redneck bush country, we have President Trump lovers.
There are more of us than you know.
My daughter and her husband had a huge F Trudeau flag on one of their trucks. She sent me a photo with this caption. ‘Cost of flag – $500. Comments overheard about flag in the local coffee shop – priceless! ‘🤣
I’m one of them!😀👍
I really feel for you. I’m in Seattle and go to BC for horse shows, love Whistler and have driven to Calgary (interesting weather!) and also to breathtaking Lake Louise and Banff where I remember seeing a herd of elk leisurely roaming the town. It really is a stunning country with nice people. It just seems so incongruous to have all that beauty but with a life sucking undertow.
Maybe Trump is right..you’d be better off as our newest state…not that it’s likely ever to happen.
Hi, Scarlett,
We used to drive down from Vancouver ( B.C.) to Seattle regularly and in he seventies and eighties it was very similar ( in our opinion) to Seattle.
Geesh, both are now drug infected crime ridden sh*tholes.
Amazing what a few decades of communist councils and Mayors can do.
I guess out east by Bellevue and the Microsoft subdivisions all is still “ Peachy”
Cheers!
“seems so incongruous to have all that beauty but with a life sucking undertow.” Astute, and well stated.
One look at this guy and you know he isn’t tough! He probably has tampons in his bathroom.
Tough???? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
A tough guy they got. Also a tough guy with a glass jaw.
These leaders need to stop taking advice from obama.
👍👍
Many terrific Canadians and millions are pro President Trump.
Our system is more corrupt than yours..
The Canadian leftists, like all leftists, didn’t have a good hold on the reality of their position. They chose Carney in a fit of emotion. But when the fever subsided, they’re left in an even worse position than before. Sigh…
The Canadian boycott of the USA tourism campaign was nasty. The government told Canadians to avoid going to the U.S.A. for their holidays. And they listened. Meanwhile, Americans were visiting Canada for their holidays.
Well, we will find out if a lot of Americans are still coming up here, in my area, very shortly. Hunting season is right around the corner. There has always been a steady stream of hunters and anglers coming up from the States, since I was a kid. The local hotels are always full during Deer/Moose/Bear season, and the strip bars too! ( LOL! )
You drive less than an hour north of my town, and it is prime hunting territory. The Outfitters and Cabin owners do very well. Especially in the Temagami area. It booms like crazy every fall. Those people count on the American sportsmen to make their money for the year.
Hopefully that hasnt changed. Our local economy and those just north of us, would feel the pinch if tourism drops.
Suspicious cat just smiled.
Purrrfect. Suspicious Cat likes winning, so much winning.
Alberta and other provinces said to Carney in so many words …. We are going ahead with our energy deals with the US and you cannot stop us. If you want a cut of the provincial profits then make a deal w PDJT and stop playing footsie with the US.
Carney is a banker first and foremost, so money talks and he knew Ottawa had to capitulate internally and externally for the long term financial benefits to Canada.
Canada may also win in the long run, once they allow markets to open up both energy and mineral resources.
Plus they may become part of the “Golden Dome” under our Space Force, if they continue to play their cards right.
I have an attitude of gratitude for what PDJT has done for Americans but a twinge of sadness for the suffering brought to the Canadian people by their socialist leaders.
Before you say they voted for this, remember we didn’t vote for Biden, whose handlers wrecked as much of our economy and our way of life as possible.
I believe the Marxist globalists will use any means necessary to subdue and enslave a free society.
Canada was dumb to react the way that they did. After the trucker episode I thought that the Country might have some backbone as a whole Country. Now I think the Country is just a collection of Provinces with more allegiance to the Crown or France (Europe) than anything else.
Those socialist leaders did not get in office by themselves – at least 50% of the Canadian electorate put them there (by not getting together and voting 51% for the most solidly pro-liberty conservative party out of the multiple parties that exist)
Don’t you think there was manipulation of the vote like we had in 2020?
Does Canada have adequate voter ID requirements, paper ballots and in person voting? If not, what happened in the US could happen anywhere.
The influence of communist China is pretty obvious too.
Oh most definitely there was some manipulation but we overcame that in 2024 by \
a) getting out the vote in massive number but mostly,
b) by attracting disenfranchised Democrats and previous non-voters to get off their butts and vote for Trump.
Y’all have too many political parties. That European-style parliamentary system more often than not puts someone in power who only has the support of maybe 30% of the populace.
Right, they do and the factions who are elected to seats in Parliament, MP’s, go on to elect the Prime Minister. Some parties come together to form a coalition of power, which is how Trudeau was selected. The Canadians never actually overwhelmingly voted for Trudeau and his party only received like 28% of votes. But his party got in bed with some other radical party and the Tyrant was chosen to do the globalist agenda.
Can’t blame all Canadians for that outcome. Plus their propaganda 24/7 is worse than ours, and so much information is kept from them entirely.
“Can’t blame all Canadians for that outcome”
Really??
Who has the power to change the election outcomes? The citizens.
But they have to understand the power they have relies on a MAJORITY of the population electing ONE party to be the 51% or better MAJORITY in the Parliament. YES – it requires many citizens to change party in order to build up the numbers of the ONE party that will win.
And then those MP’s can elect the Prime Minister from THAT party and as such doesn’t need any other party’s vote, but is committed to his own party’s policy agenda.
I can’t argue with that. I always vote conservative but in the 2021 election I voted for Max Bernier of the underdog PPC party because the Conservatives at the last minute endorsed having Covid vaccine passes. The dreaded NDP candidate ended up winning in our town in a very close election. The PPC voters split the conservative vote and we ended up with NDP, which is the worst. worst. I decided never again. Thank goodness our town voted in a conservative mp for our last election.
We do use paper ballots for federal elections but CCP definitely had influence. Money was provided to the campaigns of their chosen candidates.
Sam Cooper has been reporting on CCP influence that has been going on in Canada for years. It was his reporting that spurred an investigation by CSIS, Canada’s intelligence agency and they did find election interference occurred. The report came out about a year and a half ago but the Liberals downplayed it and swept it under the rug.

But, but, but President Donald Trump explained clearly that he introduced the renegotiation clause into USMCA after 5 years and that he intends to use it later this year. There will be no USMCA, just bilateral agreements,
Will be a good day when opposition is down to shredding bedsheets to make their white flags.
Bottomline, Ursula von der Leyen has a $21 trillion economy and didn’t mess around with Trump. What chance did Canada have with $2 trillion economy?
Elbows up was such idiocy and once Europe caved, Canada had no shot. And Canada turning to UK, EU and/or China to replace USA is a pipe dream!
For one, USA would not allow it with China. Two, USA and Europe completed their trade deal. Three, the UK economy is nowhere near the size of the USA.
So Canada at this stage should pray to get a 15% tariff and keep in mind that the reciprocal tariff depends on the trade deficit. The baseline tariff is 10% then you get the reciprocal tariff on top.
In order to bring it down, nations like Japan, Korea and EU have “bought” them down with major investment pledges to USA. Does Canada have the wherewithal to make major investments into the USA?
I don’t think Canada has the corporations that Japan, Korea and EU has to make good on any investment pledges. So look for something more closer to 20% tariffs unless Canada leverages their oil wealth to the USA even more so to lower the tariffs (this would mean more USA refining).
What the heck is elbows up? It sounds demented.
Kids do it all the time. It’s a form of resistance.
Hockey reference. Generally would translate to aggressively defensive.
Boxing
Hockeyreference. Err wait, same thingCorrect! If my understanding is correct, Canada is mostly a “pass through” manufacturing nation. Timber etc is Canadian and a few other industries, but manufacturing is from parts and elements imported from elsewhere. The days of China using Canada as a means to avoid higher US tariffs are over.
Most of Canada’s exports to the U.S. are cars and pickup trucks made for Ford and GM, lumber along with oil and natural gas which President Trump wants to increase by restarting the Keystone XL Pipeline.
China is also using Canada for their fentanyl attack on us, and Canada is no match for the cartels.
I’m scratching my head trying to understand where the animosity towards Canada comes from?
If you actually read the USTR trade report on Canada you will see that the amount of imports and exports between the US and Canada is virtually even. Canada buys almost the same amount as they sell us. The small difference is simply oil and natural gas. In fact, in services trade they buy far more from us then we buy from them. What President Trump omits is that the US exports “services” meaning high value financial markets and technology services to the world while we import mostly low cost manufacturd junk.
Canada is a trading nexus for China to get to the US market. Canada needs to shift their alignment back to the US from China.
That statement is everything in a nutshell. Their allegiances are misguided and deceptive.
Canada has a trade surplus in goods and in some industries that Trump wants to bring back to the USA, like autos.
There is no animosity with Canada except for what they present to us. They are over reliant on the USA but act like they are better than us because of their socialist welfare system. Yet, it’s all paid for by their lack of defense spending and their trade surplus with USA.
Take that all away and Canada is not much of a country and hence why Trump said they should be the 51st state to continue to enjoy those benefits which comes at the expense of the American people.
The only “industry” is making cars and F-150s for Ford and GM which are made in Canada because of much lower energy and labor costs. In addition, Ford and GM needed to escape the clutches of the UAW.
There’s got to be more to this or it’s just theater! Carney announced that the Canadian tariffs will be 5% after the conference with President Trump today.
🤣🤣🤣 Carney messed up.
He is just a Davos puppet placed there, doing the WEF’s bidding.
51st has a nice ring to it.
Yes I know that PDJT suggested Canada as 51 state. I believe it would be a disaster to bring this America hating bunch of liberals into our orbit. Let them limp along on their own.
Most of Canada’s exports to the United States are covered by USMCA which doesn’t expire until 2036. Furthermore, Canada can certify other exports that meet USMCA requirements.
You are quite incorrect.
“In July 2026, on the sixth anniversary of the USMCA’s implementation, the three countries will hold a joint review to assess the agreement’s performance and determine its future. If all parties agree to renewal, the agreement will remain in force for another 16 years, with a review in 2032. However, other outcomes are possible. The agreement could enter a period of annual reviews if renewal is delayed or denied. Further, one or more countries could withdraw, opening the door to a return to bilateral arrangements or expiration in 2036.
For a time, Canada and Mexico anticipated a largely procedural review in 2026. That assumption no longer holds. U.S. President Donald Trump has made tariffs a cornerstone of his reshoring and manufacturing agenda, targeting not only geopolitical rivals but also long-standing trade partners like Mexico and Canada. These tariffs, often imposed for both trade-related and non-trade-related reasons, have already triggered bilateral negotiations. Their ripple effects are likely to shape the 2026 review.”
https://www.csis.org/analysis/usmca-review-2026
If the parties don’t agree the USMCA still remains in effect until 2036. BTW, the USMCA is a treaty that cannot be cancelled unless it’s done by Congress. Neither, President Trump nor PM Carney can unilaterally cancel the USMCA.
My guess is that PDJT is going to use Tariffs on products not covered by USMCA as a hammer to convince them that everyone agrees to cease the USMCA.
From Sundance’s article:
“As noted by President Trump in his remarks during Prime Minister Mark Carney’s visit to the White House, Trump plans to renegotiate the USMCA and end the trilateral agreement in favor of two bilateral trade deals.
During the oval office meeting President Trump said, “as you know [USMCA] terminates fairly shortly. It gets renegotiated fairly shortly.” Then the biggest statement, “this was a transitional deal, and we’ll see what happens, we’re going to start renegotiating that”… “I don’t know if it serves a purpose anymore.” …. “And the biggest purpose it served was, we got rid of NAFTA.”
President Trump is going to exit the trilateral USMCA in favor of two distinctly different bilateral trade agreements between the U.S and Mexico; and the U.S and Canada. The only consideration now is the timing. President Trump is 100% focused on the BIG ECONOMIC PICTURE; it’s not about the politics, it’s all about the economics.”
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2025/07/11/president-trump-announces-35-percent-baseline-tariff-for-canadian-goods-not-covered-under-usmca/#more-274061
We import and export an equal amount of goods and services with Canada. If we tariff them and they retaliate it’s a wash deal. We both pay more!
Trade is a much bigger part of Canada’s economy than it is the USA economy.
Most of Canada’s trade, about 75%, is with the USA. The same is not true for the USA, where Canada is about 13%.
Also total trade is 65% of Canada’s GDP whereas total trade is about 25% of USA GDP.
So no, it’s not a wash!
It’s a wash in absolute dollars. Of course, as a percentage its greater because Canada’s population is 1/10 of the United States. The fact that our imports and exports in dollars are the same is a testiment to the value of Canada as a customer of American business!
It’s called cross border trade meaning USA companies buying from themselves and each other across the border. Canadian business constitute very little of that buying from themselves USA.
With that said, Canada’s raw materials such as lumber, oil and minerals are very valuable exports
The U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) does not have a single fixed “end date”; instead, it requires a joint review in 2026 to decide on its renewal for another 16-year term. If the three countries do not agree to extend it in the 2026 review, the agreement will terminate in 2036, but they will conduct annual reviews until then to potentially reach an agreement.
Here’s how the process works:
1. Initial Term:
The USMCA was set to expire in 2036, a 16-year term.
2. First Joint Review:
The first mandatory review is scheduled for July 1, 2026, six years after the agreement’s entry into force.
3. Renewal Option:
In the 2026 review, all three countries (the United States, Mexico, and Canada) can confirm in writing their intention to extend the agreement for another 16-year period, which would extend its term until 2042.
4. Failure to Agree:
If the parties do not agree to extend the agreement in the 2026 review, a joint review will be conducted annually for the remaining period until 2036.
I’m done discussing this with you. Take it up with PDJT or Sundance.
Well, it’s in the King’s English. I didn’t write it myself!
Sundance has strong understanding of what all of this is and what it means. That’s wonderful. My question is whether Canada’s PM has any such understanding.
Canada has 2.5 national languages. English, French and Mandarin Chinese. I wish that was a joke. Way too much truth in it to be a joke. But this requirement to speak two languages to be in Canada’s politics means “regular people” don’t get to participate and it’s also a kind of DEI in the sense that they are prioritizing language skill over all others. It’s truly stupid. Truly stupid.
Vancouver looks like Beijing now. Its not even funny.
Surrey like the Punjab in India.
I am friends with several older ( sixty plus) Sikh’s they know what’s coming we here in Canada ain’t felt any pain yet.
Cheers!
Deke, I live in a little town of 52,000. Northern Ontario. Up in the bush. If they did a census now, it would be over 60,000 or more.
We are inundated by East Indians. They own all the corner stores, and every single gas station now. They even built 2 new ones. All the fast food joints are owned and staffed by East Indian’s. Our kids and grand kids cant even find a job, they are leaving in droves.
Housing? Forget it. Unaffordable, and there just isnt any for rent. They have all been taken over and rented by East Indians. 10 or 15 of them living in 2 bedroom apartments.
I drive around, most of the drivers im looking at, are driving brand new cars, even a lot of high end cars, and they are all East Indian.
My little town looks like Mini Mumbai.
Ive lived in my home for 28 years now. Quiet neighborhood, mostly built in the 50’s and early 60’s. A lot of Military members. I grew up in this house. My neighborhood? The owners are getting older, a lot of houses have been sold. To all East Indians, literally. I walk my dog at dusk, every night, I only go 1 block because of my injury’s from the bike accident and my lungs. I have to move off the the side now, to let entire groups of them, walk on the sidewalk. They dont say hello. They dont move out of my way. They are not rude, but not friendly either. They dont speak much English at all. We deal with them in so many businesses, and yet they speak their own dialects, with customers around, and they really make no effort to speak English, at all.
I mean, I dont consider myself racist. Its character, not skin color.
But man, when is enough, enough?
Hi Bob,
Same down on the mainland of B.C.
IMO we were the test case for ultra globalism.
We were easy, a dumbed down entitled nation.
We were fractured by language, region and finance. ( all the wealth and power was in Ontario.)
Cheers!
Hi Bob, I think we are in the same town ~ unfortunately it’s not enough for “Them”. We’ve signed onto a plan to bring a ton more in, in exchange for Government funding… and don’t even get me started on Mr. Fedeli & bros selling us off for Glyphosate spraying to help assist the Climate Change narrative while poisoning our water/food supply. This town is hopeless. By far the majority support these destructive left policies. It only took one generation to collapse society here. High home prices, brutal healthcare (at least 50% of this population is sick), mass immigration, constant traffic congestion, corrupt politicians, uglification, homelessness, fentanyl infestation, cannabis storefronts dwarf any other retail, mass store closings, missing children… on and on.
I think we are.
North Bay…lol. I may even know you Andy….if that is your name, I think I do buddy! Small town brother.
Yeah the Roundup spraying? Isnt that something eh? Causes cancer, they have been sued in the US. Outlawed in many places, yet our Government is allowing this to be done to thousands of square miles around us, and even on Native land.
Its insane. We have such beauty all around us, and these POS politicans and their ilk are going to kill a lot of animals, fish, and perhaps people too. Poison the water and the land, without a thought.
Its a high crime Andy. Truly it is….people ought to be held accountable and sued and even jailed over this. It is insane man!
Like yourself Bob, many in my circle are beginning to seriously consider Florida as a destination. There is no Trump on the horizon and it’s even taken someone like him a decade to start making a serious impact. Our wealth will be completely squandered if we have to bear a decade more of this abuse and destruction. And no, Andy is not my real name.
I’ve noticed this too especially in the last few years. Fast food restaurants that used to have a variety of employees of all ages and races are now completely staffed with Indian workers with accents.
You either hire them and receive up to 80% gov subsidies, or you don’t and try to compete with those who do. The subsidy is PURPOSEFUL. To assist with the anti-colonial agenda (invasion!)
What does Baltimore and Atlanta look like?
Well, Ive never been there.
I would assume they are blue s***holes.
I know they have high crime, murder rate’s etc. Nowhere Id want to live. That is for sure.
Probably more like Hong Kong but I get the point. However, I wonder if Mandarin or Cantonese language predominates?
I visited Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island, over 10 years ago and all I saw were Chinese. I assumed they were all tourists, but perhaps they were the locals.
Same thing happened at the Banff Springs Hotel, in Alberta, all Chinese walking around…they probably own it now, along with Chateau Lake Louise, Frontenac, and other beautiful Canadian Pacific Hotels.
Yes perhaps, but staying stupid is a choice. Canadians have the internet to find out information and discern truth from fiction.
I want to see Canada healthy and prosperous, but first their people must integrate and find a common core Western Christian value system and nix the DEI stuff. First Nations, immigrants, and factions have a voice, but they cannot be allowed to fracture the national identity of Canada. The globalists love the division, so don’t give it to them Canada…we are rooting for you!
My impression is that Carney was brought in to seal the deal and tidy up the WEF-ification of Canada that Trudeau started. He’s probably been busy reassuring WEF stockholders, while a Plan B is being settled upon.
That point was made in a Canada history I’ve read. Don’t know if it’s considered “mainstream” but his point was that in history the Canadian Provinces were very much separate entities, often with Brit economic motivations. As New Brunswick, Lower Canada, and Upper Canada emerged they were very different and attempts at “union” were stop and start. As the hinterland began to see Anglo settlement, trade and culture there was much more north-south than east-west.
In his view, “Canada” as a country didn’t exist until WWI, much like in Australia and New Zealand. But unlike those two countries, the requirement of bi-lingualism meant that national affairs would be restricted to an elite.
President Trump will not bring Canada into ruin. He’ll somehow fix a fair way to go ahead. Two wrongs don’t make a right and President Trump is a right kind of guy.
I honestly feel that you are missing the point of how dire and serious the problems Canada has are.
There is no straightforward plan that we can follow to take us back to what we used to be.
Dekester made an earlier comment – “Dekester August 22, 2025 4:05 pm Reply to Mark B. Smith” –
which touched on this. The actions of PDJT are peripheral IMHO.
Try to imagine that the deep state shenanigans in the US had been more than 100% successful and were now irrevocably and permanently embedded with changes to your’ constitution and that most US citizens had no idea what had gone on nor how to fix it. This is where Canada is at.
In truth, I don’t know. Yet, I know that problems can be solved. President Trump is a problem solver. Can he fix it? My limited knowledge has no answer but, if asked, I think he’d try. Truly I wish Canada the best but helping others inflict problems in America was not a good neighbor by any means.
Time to rake the Leaf.
Speaking of Leaf…always wondered how the Toronto Maple Leafs got away with misspelling the plural of Leaf, which is Leaves.
Especially a proper British Crown subject, you would expect them to know English grammar. Truly strange.
Haha my wife is a grammar purist and I’m a hockey fan and player and she always makes a point of calling the Toronto team the Leaves!
Good for her….it is quite strange, but perhaps has a funny back story as to why it was chosen.
My father always corrected me on grammar, so I too take notice of these faux pas.
Here’s a good one he hammered into me …” you cannot say exact, same..they are redundant”.
Those two words are used a lot today and for a purist, it gets your blood flowing.
Cheers!
When people say, “exactly the same”, they are doing so to emphasize that quality. Used in that context it is absolutely correct.
That phrase would be acceptable, but just exact same together can be construed as redundant…I think we are both correct
https://www.merriam-webster.com/grammar/usage-exact-same#:~:text='Exact%20Same'%3A%20A%20Useful,%2C%20thus%2C%20they%20are%20exact.
lose vs loose… your vs you’re… there vs they’re vs their… and so many others… they all ‘pop out’ at me.
Strike up the mini violins!!
My only regret is Justine isn’t there taking the hits for this as it’s really 98% his fault
💰 💰 💰
Yep, Titanic going down, and Justine put on his bonnet and jumped in the first lifeboat he could find
🤣🤣🤣
🚢🚢🚢
🎻🎻🎻
He’s probably sipping LaBatt’s with Obama, tying to figure out how they can repair their legacies.
Thank GOD President Trump is on our side.
The Real Canadians drink Old Vienna. Just say OV.
If you are a real Canuck, drink some warm Labatts 50.
That is a purity test!…lmao!
This move merely reinforces something that we have known for more than a generation. Specifically, without being propped-up by the United States, Canada is not a viable country.
I wonder what the economy of the province of Quebec would be like on their own?
From Wikipedia:
“Genghis Kahn and his generals preferred to offer their enemies a chance to surrender without resistance. These enemies would then become vassals by sending tribute… In return, the Khan would guarantee their protection, but only if those who submitted to Mongol rule were obedient.”
From LionTigerBear:
President Trump and his trade negotiators preferred to offer Canada’s woke government a chance to surrender without resistance. These Canadian elites would then become vassals by sending tribute… In return, the Donald would guarantee their protection, but only if those who submitted to America First rules were obedient.
All of these countries that have leveraged tariffs on the U.S. need to feel the pain they have inflicted on the American people and especially the farmers
Many countries like Canada, Switzerland etc don’t have “effective” tariffs on the US. For example, Canada has high tariffs on dairy products that exceed a certain threshold which is pretty high and never exceeded. The Swiss tariffs on American products total about 1.9%. Not really a big deal.
For every populist MCGA Canadian, I certainly wish you were better represented.
It would be fantastic to have a solid Bukele or Orban type to our north.
America First means just that but President Trump is nothing if not magnanimous.
Given the current situation, it is obvious he does not feel he has a good working partner in Canada.
The losers in this are the Canadian people but until they oust the fools doing this, they will suffer.
Woe, Canada 🇨🇦
This gives new meaning to:
-Oh , Canada 😢
a readable THUMB PRINT on all ballots at the time of casting votes and mail in ballots. We already gave our thumb print on our Divers Lic and Machine cross check at the time of voting will eliminate enemy illegal outlaws, which would be handcuffed on the spot. So easy to do but hard for the idiots who are suppose to be rep us. only paper ballots. 5 years for each false ballot which one must work in the fields growing crops and weeding weeds with a hoe and a 100,000 fine.
Those there ‘Divers’ licenses can’t number too many…
If we annex Alberta ….. should it become the 51st state; or alternatively, should it instead become the Montana uber-panhandle so that the American flag doesn’t need to be updated?
Don’t forget Sasquatch and Manitoby
Yes the stupidity of waiting this long. As far as economy goes Canada has very close to nothing to leverage and in a real fight less than nothing.
Im a boomer and I blame my fellow boomers, the hippies of the late 60s that never left the Liberal party cult,Trudeaumania was fatal.I hope they get hit with a tax on the increase in their property values. The average house in Toronto is over one million,I pay 3000 for a one bedroom apartment. The Liberal gov is also committed to green everything, they have mandated EV vehicles only by 2035. They are as nuts as Pol Pot and his vision.Carney helped Brookfield, his company, evade 5.5 billion in taxes owed to Canada. All his investments are in Green crp and carbon capture etc.He isnt working for Canada.I hope the boomers are proud, They own it.
Electric vehicles suck in the cold, and on long trips. What could go wrong?
👍👍 from a B.C. resident.
I’m a boomer as well, homer d, and I agree 100%.
I have 3 kids in their 20’s, and I have told them many times that it’s up to them and their generation to repair the damage my generation inflicted upon this world.
God has blessed my wife and I with three amazingly wise and mature children who are Bible believing followers of Jesus Christ and who love their country. They and their friends give me hope for the future.
I’m a boomer too and I don’t blame my fellow boomers for something that was in play long before we came along.
But take this to heart; boomers are being singled out as being the cause of most of societies problems.
Why?
Because we are a yuge population, a population that “they” want to cull, and they don’t care how they do it.
The Killing Fields of Cambodia will be child’s play if the leftists can sow enough hatred towards boomers.
For a nation that celebrates the “euthanasia” of its citizens, this is a proper economic beat down. Adopting the Nazi Party’s T-4 horrific program will only result in a swift descent to hell. It’s mind boggling how once beautiful and stalwart nations like Canada, Great Britain, Austria, Spain, the Netherlands, and Germany are disintegrating their borders, their decency, and their cultures.
Western Civilization has been slowly dying for many years. The first chapter of the Book of Romans talks about the “root causes.”
The Apostle Paul wrote that approximately 2000 years ago to a completely different group of people, but it applies equally to us today.
Canada is hard at work spinning this to sell it as a WIN. Touting it’s “protecting” CUSMA (we call it CUSMA to falsely position Canada as the LEADER of the agreement lol) by putting an end to the retaliatory tariffs WHICH WERE ALWAYS IN BREACH OF THE AGREEMENT. Carney couldn’t admit we were breaching this agreement, while America hadn’t. He walked back his breach because he knew he was about to get HAMMERED!
Carney can spin this however he wants. Whatever helps him sleep at night.
Who’s your Daddy, eh?
Good, fck Carney and Canada. FAFO. 51st State.
The Snow Mexicans bend the knee …. WHILE … The Real Mexican start extraditing a few of their drug lords. Hmmmm …. Could you ever imagine any of that during the reign of Sleepy, Creepy, Crazy, Perverted Uncle Joe?
MAGA Fabulous!!
Pass the Winnamins & Cheetos!!
That last paragraph made me blow coffee through my nose…I never really thought that was possible
I’m not gloating. But, I am laughing.
Happy Friday, everyone. Have a great weekend.
MAGA
I’m not celebrating without knowing the ultimate goal. I’ve tried hard to imagine the upside to having a country that shares a 5,525 mile international border with us become an economic and social basket case. What makes it worse is that 90% of the Canadian population lives within 100 miles of that border.
US Trade with Canada is virtually even!
Out of $909 billion in total trade the deficit with Canada is a mere $29 billion. Meaning that 40 million Canadians buy almost the same amount of things as they export to 400 million Americans. 🫡

No sir, you looking at it all wrong. Canada relies far more on USA than vice versa. They should’ve been the first country to make a deal, not the UK! Canada is the most dependent country in the world on the USA and they pussyfooted. It’s crazy
Not talking about “reliance” but in dollars. Of course, Canada is 1/10 the size of the United States but what does that have to do anything? We import and export an equal amount with Canada so they are not “ripping us off” as the urban legend seems to be.
This does not change the fact they’ve stolen our auto industry, our aluminum production and willingly acted as a pass through for our (make no mistake) ENEMY China to get around our attempts to close that trade deficit. Numbers simply do not tell the story of the behavior of our ‘good neighbors’ to the North.
The tariffs are meant to correct those behaviors and shore up our own economic national security.
I am still buying Vermont (or Massachusetts) Maple Syrup, ONLY.
Excelente, as they say in Canada. Now it’s time to share some of that tariff wealth with the American people in the form of a tariff dividend. The $600 number seems about right. All successful companies share their profits with stakeholders. Be excited. You’ve earned it. And thank you President Trump!
Bye bye, NAFTA. By bye, USMCA. Canada is not Mexico, Mexico is not Canada. The peaceful relationship between our two countries is to be prized, but trade between them must be fair for both. Right now, it is fair to neither.
Carney the Snow Mexican seems to have melted under the heat of President Trump’s magnificence. The United States is the hottest country in the world, and President Trump is the world’s hottest leader.
Keep the wins coming!
Oh, Canada!
Tarriffs are paid by the consumer
Therefore the US consumer pays 10, 20, 30% on Canadian products
And Canadian consumer now has no markup on US products
Not a full loss for the Canadian consumer I would say
Absolutely wrong.
But your economy relies more on trade. That means lower wages for your workers compared to USA workers. Besides USA leverage and market mutes any tariff increases compared to what Canada can muster for its market.
Already been explained by Secretary Lutnick. This is false because big corporations have already maxxed out prices using market research on consumers. To pass the cost onto consumers would risk too many of them saying, “Too rich for my blood” and doing without the product. The Wall Street economy of the last 30 years has caused a business model entirely relaint on gouging the consumer to maximize corporate profits to exceed quarterly earnings estimates, chasing that rising stock value. Corporations are already vampiring off the consumer and making insane profit margins. They have room to cut overhead more than their customers have room to pay more, and they know this. The parasites can not risk killing the golden goose.
is Alberta still part of that mess. Just gloating…
All this does is strengthen Trump’s hand in his objective to have bilateral deals with Mexico and Canada.
Now if we could just get the “Democrats” to capitulate we could move forward and really MAGA.
We have exposed them as the party that loves crime, corruption, filth, is racist and puts even criminal illegals before American citizens and that they were the ones that started the gerrymandering fiasco.
Have you ever boiled milk? Slowly then all at once, lol.
Some links from last spring, nothing like old news:

What makes Trump unique is that he can put things behind him (after he wins) and doesn’t have to spike the ball in the face of his former badmouthing Canadian belligerent. Always gracious and respectful. There’s only one.
Perhaps Canada should re-organize herself into multiple countries. Because, I daresay that many people across this second-most-vast region find nothing in common with their present “central” government.
Canada is part of Five Eyes. Maybe he “was made an offer he couldn’t refuse”, for this Theater more than anything else.
(More important to keep the Theater distractions going than actually improve the US economy. In fact, it appears that the Plan is to continue running the US economy down as part of the “managed decline” while maintaining a facade pretending it is getting better.)
It’s interesting that so many seem to be stuck in naive thinking habits. Like thinking that all these actors are not controlled by veiled Controllers, when the ICs have the means and motives to do this for the Controllers.
Can the US IC control Trump? All signs imply yes.
Carney’s long term plan is the normal socialist plan…….fudge the numbers. Don’t believe your lying eyes, the economy is doing well. The way Canada is going, the people might just believe him.
